⁴ And they shall build the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

⁶ And He said, 'It is a light thing that You should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give You for a light to the Gentiles, that You may be My salvation to the end of the earth.' " ⁷ Thus says the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and His Holy One, to Him whom man despises, to Him whom the nation abhors, to a Servant of rulers, "Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD who is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and He shall choose You." ⁸ Thus says the LORD, "In an acceptable time I have heard You, and in a day of salvation I have helped You: And I will preserve You, and give You for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;

¹² And those who shall be of you shall build the old waste places: You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

²³ And I will sanctify My great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which you have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD", said the Lord GOD, "when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. ²⁴ For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. ²⁵ Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean: I will cleanse you from all your filthiness, and from all your idols. ²⁶ I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you: And I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

³³ Thus says the Lord GOD; "In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the waste places shall be built. ³⁴ And the desolate land shall be tilled, instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who passed by. ³⁵ And they shall say, 'This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate places and ruined cities have become fenced, and are inhabited." ³⁶ Then the heathen who are left all around you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant that which was desolate: I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it."

¹⁴ And I will bring home again the captivity of My people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink its wine; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. ¹⁵ And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no longer be pulled up out of their land which I have given them", says the LORD your God.
