¹ "At the same time", said the LORD, "I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be My people." ² Thus says the LORD, "The people who were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest." ³ The LORD has appeared to me of old, saying, "Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love: Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you. ⁴ Again I will build you, and you shall be built, O virgin of Israel: You shall be adorned with your tabrets again, and shall go forth in the dances of those who make merry. ⁵ You shall yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: The planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things. ⁶ For there shall be a day, that the watchmen on the Mount Ephraim shall cry, 'Arise all of you, and let us go up to Zion to the LORD our God.' " ⁷ For thus says the LORD; "Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: All of you publish, all of you praise, and say, 'O LORD, save your people, the remnant of Israel.' ⁸ Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the borders of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her who labors with child together: A great company shall return there. ⁹ They shall come with weeping, and with supplications I will lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way in which they shall not stumble: For I am a Father to Israel, and Ephraim is My firstborn. ¹⁰ Hear the word of the LORD, O you nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, 'He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd does his flock.' ¹¹ For the LORD has redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him who was stronger than he. ¹² Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: And their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all. ¹³ Then the virgin shall rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: For I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow. ¹⁴ And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and My people shall be satisfied with My goodness", said the LORD. ¹⁵ Thus says the LORD; "A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not." ¹⁶ Thus says the LORD; "Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears: For your work shall be rewarded", said the LORD; "and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. ¹⁷ And there is hope in your end", said the LORD, "that your children shall come again to their own border. ¹⁸ I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself saying; 'You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bull unaccustomed to the yoke: Turn me, and I shall be turned; for you are the LORD My God. ¹⁹ Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote on my thigh: I was ashamed, yes, even confounded, because I bore the reproach of my youth.' ²⁰ Is Ephraim my dear son? Is he a pleasant child? For since I spoke against him, I earnestly do remember him still: Therefore My bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy on him", said the LORD. ²¹ "Set up markers, make high heaps: Set your heart toward the highway, even the way which you went: Turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these your cities. ²² How long will you go about, O you backsliding daughter? For the LORD has created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man." ²³ Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; "As yet they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I shall bring back their captivity; 'The LORD bless you, O habitation of justice, and mountain of holiness.' ²⁴ And there shall dwell in Judah itself, and in all its cities together, farmers, and they who go forth with flocks. ²⁵ For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul." ²⁶ On this I awaked, and beheld; and my sleep was sweet to me. ²⁷ "Behold, the days come", said the LORD, "that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast. ²⁸ And it shall come to pass, that as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so I will watch over them, to build, and to plant", said the LORD." ²⁹ "In those days they shall say no more, 'The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children's teeth are set on edge.' ³⁰ But every one shall die for his own iniquity: Every man who eats the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge. ³¹ "Behold, the days come", said the LORD, "that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: ³² Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them", said the LORD: ³³ "But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days", said the LORD, "I will put My law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be My people. ³⁴ And they shall no more teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD': For they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them", said the LORD: "for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more." ³⁵ Thus says the LORD, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who divides the sea when the waves of it roar; The LORD of hosts is His name: ³⁶ "If those ordinances depart from before Me", said the LORD, "then the seed of Israel shall also cease from being a nation before Me forever." ³⁷ Thus says the LORD; "If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done", said the LORD. ³⁸ "Behold, the days come", said the LORD, "that the city shall be built to the LORD from the tower of Hananeel to the gate of the corner. ³⁹ And the measuring line shall yet go forth in front of it on the hill Gareb, and shall compass about to Goath. ⁴⁰ And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields to the brook of Kidron, to the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy to the LORD; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more forever."

⁷ And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your seed after you in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you, and to your seed after you. ⁸ And I will give to you, and to your seed after you, the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God."

¹² And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and you shall be My people.

¹⁴ For this God is our God forever and ever: He will be our guide even to death.

¹⁵ Happy is that people, that are in such a case: Yes, happy are that people, whose God is the LORD.

¹² And He shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. ¹³ The envy of Ephraim shall also depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.

¹⁰ Fear not; for I am with you: Be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.'

¹⁸ In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance to your fathers.

⁶ In His days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: And this is His name by which he shall be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

³ For lo, the days come', said the LORD, 'that I will bring again the captivity of My people Israel and Judah', said the LORD: 'and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.' "

¹⁰ Therefore fear not, O My servant Jacob', said the LORD; 'neither be dismayed, O Israel: For lo, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.

²² 'And you shall be My people, and I will be your God.' "

²⁴ The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until He has done it, and until He has performed the intents of His heart: In the latter days you shall consider it.

³³ "But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days", said the LORD, "I will put My law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be My people.

³⁸ And they shall be My people, and I will be their God:

⁷ And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.

¹⁴ 'Behold, the days come', said the LORD, 'that I will perform that good thing which I have promised to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.

²⁴ 'Consider not what this people has spoken, saying, "The two families which the LORD has chosen, has he cast even them off?" Thus they have despised My people, that they should no more be a nation before them.' ²⁵ Thus says the LORD; 'If My covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth; ²⁶ then I will cast away the seed of Jacob and David My servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: For I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.' "

⁴ In those days, and at that time", said the LORD, "the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: They shall go, and seek the LORD their God.

²⁰ That they may walk in My statutes, and keep My ordinances, and do them: And they shall be My people, and I will be their God.

³¹ "And you My flock, the flock of My pasture, are men, and I am your God", said the Lord GOD.

²⁸ And you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and you shall be My people, and I will be your God.

¹⁶ moreover, you son of man, take for yourself one stick, and write on it, For Judah, and for his companions the children of Israel: Then take another stick, and write on it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions: ¹⁷ And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in your hand. ¹⁸ And when the children of your people shall speak to you, saying, 'Will you not show us what you mean by these?' ¹⁹ Say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in My hand." ' ²⁰ And the sticks on which you write shall be in your hand before their eyes. ²¹ And say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, where they have gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: ²² And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: And they shall no longer be two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all. ²³ Neither shall they defile themselves with their idols any more, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: But I will save them out of all their dwelling places, in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them: So shall they be My people, and I will be their God. ²⁴ And David My servant shall be king over them; and they shall all have one shepherd: They shall also walk in My judgments, and observe My statutes, and do them. ²⁵ And they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, in which your fathers have dwelled; and they shall dwell in it, even they and their children, and their children's children forever: And My servant David shall be their prince forever. ²⁶ Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: And I will place them, and multiply them, and will set My sanctuary in the midst of them forevermore. ²⁷ My tabernacle also shall be with them: Yes, I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

²² So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.

¹¹ Then the children of Judah and the children of Israel shall be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: For great shall be the day of Jezreel."

⁶ And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them back again to place and settle them; for I have mercy upon them: And they shall be as though I had not cast them off: For I am the LORD their God, and will hear them. ⁷ And those of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: Yes, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD.

⁹ And I will bring the one-third through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will prove them through testing as gold is proved: They shall call on My name, and I will hear them: I will say, 'It is My people': And they shall say, 'The LORD is my God.' "

¹⁷ Jesus said to her, "Do not touch Me; for I am not yet ascended to My Father: But go to My brethren, and say to them, 'I ascend to My Father, and your Father; and to My God, and your God.' "

²⁶ And so all Israel shall be saved: As it is written, "There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: ²⁷ For this is My covenant to them, when I shall take away their sins." ²⁸ Concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: But concerning the chosen, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. ²⁹ For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

¹⁶ lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright.

¹⁶ And he said, "When you do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it is a son, then you shall kill him: But if it is a daughter, then she shall live."

²² And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, "Every son that is born you shall cast into the river, and every daughter you shall save alive."

²³ And it came to pass in the process of time, that the king of Egypt died: And the children of Israel sighed because of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up to God because of the bondage.

²¹ And they said to them, "The LORD look upon you, and judge; because you have made our odor to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us."

³⁷ And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.

⁸ And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: And the children of Israel went out with a high hand. ⁹ But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon. ¹⁰ And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were severely afraid: And the children of Israel cried out to the LORD. ¹¹ And they said to Moses, "Have you taken us away to die in the wilderness because there were no graves in Egypt? Why have you dealt in this peculiar way with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? ¹² Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, 'Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians?' For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness."

⁹ The enemy said, 'I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.' ¹⁰ You blew with Your wind, the sea covered them: They sank as lead in the mighty waters.

⁸ Then Amalek came, and fought with Israel in Rephidim. ⁹ And Moses said to Joshua, "Choose out men for us, and go out, fight with Amalek: Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand." ¹⁰ So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, "and fought with Amalek: And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. ¹¹ And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: And when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. ¹² But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat on it; and Aaron and Hur held up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. ¹³ And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

¹⁴ And He said, "My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest."

³³ And they departed from the mount of the LORD three days' journey: And the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days' journey, to search out a resting place for them.

²⁰ And the LORD said, "I have pardoned according to your word:

³⁰ The LORD your God which goes before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes;

³³ who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to show you by what way you should go, and in a cloud by day.

⁷ For the LORD your God has blessed you in all the works of your hand: He knows your walking through this great wilderness: These forty years the LORD your God has been with you; you have lacked nothing.

² And you shall remember all the way which the LORD your God led you these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you, and to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or no. ³ And he humbled you, and suffered you to hunger, and fed you with manna, which you knew not, neither did your fathers know; that he might make you know that man does not live by bread only, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD does man live.

¹⁶ who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers knew not, that he might humble you, and that he might prove you, to do you good at your latter end;

⁹ For you are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God gives you.

¹² Moreover you led them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way in which they should go. ¹³ You came down also upon Mount Sinai, and spoke with them from heaven, and gave them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments: ¹⁴ And made known to them your holy Sabbath, and commanded them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses your servant: ¹⁵ And gave them bread from heaven for their hunger, and brought forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promised those that they should go in to possess the land which you had sworn to give them.

¹⁴ In the daytime He also led them with a cloud, and all the night with a light of fire. ¹⁵ He split the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths. ¹⁶ He also brought streams out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers.

²³ Though He had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven, ²⁴ and had rained down manna on them to eat, and had given them of the grain kernels of heaven. ²⁵ Man ate angels' food: He sent them meat to the full. ²⁶ He caused an east wind to blow in the heaven: And by His power He brought in the south wind. ²⁷ He also rained flesh upon them as dust, and feathered fowls like the sand of the sea: ²⁸ And He let it fall in the midst of their camp, all around their tents. ²⁹ So they ate, and were well filled: For He gave them their own desire;

⁵² But made His own people to go forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.

¹¹ To whom I swore in My wrath that they should not enter into My rest."

³⁷ He also brought them forth with silver and gold: And there was not one feeble person among their tribes. ³⁸ Egypt was glad when they departed: For the fear of them had fallen upon them. ³⁹ He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night. ⁴⁰ The people asked, and He brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven. ⁴¹ He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river. ⁴² For He remembered His holy promise, and Abraham His servant. ⁴³ And He brought forth His people with joy, and His chosen with gladness:

¹⁶ To Him Which led His people through the wilderness: For His mercy endures forever. ¹⁷ To Him Which smote great kings: For His mercy endures forever: ¹⁸ And slew famous kings: For His mercy endures forever: ¹⁹ Sihon king of the Amorites: For His mercy endures forever: ²⁰ And Og the king of Bashan: For His mercy endures forever: ²¹ And gave their land for a heritage: For His mercy endures forever: ²² Even a heritage to Israel His servant: For His mercy endures forever. ²³ Who remembered us in our low estate: For His mercy endures forever: ²⁴ And has redeemed us from our enemies: For His mercy endures forever.

⁷ I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD has bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which He has bestowed on them according to His mercies, and according to the multitude of His lovingkindnesses. ⁸ For He said, "Surely they are My people, children that will not lie": So He was their Savior. ⁹ In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the angel of His presence saved them: In His love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He bore them, and carried them all the days of old. ¹⁰ But they rebelled, and vexed His holy Spirit: Therefore He was turned to be their enemy, and He fought against them. ¹¹ Then He remembered the days of old, Moses, and His people, saying, "Where is He that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of His flock? Where is He that put His holy Spirit within him? ¹² That led them by the right hand of Moses with His glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make Himself an everlasting name? ¹³ That led them through the deep, as a horse in the wilderness, that they should not stumble?" ¹⁴ As a beast goes down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD caused him to rest: So You lead Your people, to make Yourself a glorious name.

² "Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, 'Thus says the LORD; "I remember you, the kindness of your youth, the love of your espousals, when you went after Me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.

¹⁴ But I worked for My name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them out. ¹⁵ Yet I also lifted up My hand to them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands; ¹⁶ because they despised My judgments, and did not walk in My statutes, but polluted My Sabbaths: For their heart went after their idols. ¹⁷ Nevertheless My eye spared from destroying them, neither did I make an end of them in the wilderness.

²⁸ Come to Me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

⁸ For if Jesus had given them rest, then He would not have afterward spoken of another day. ⁹ There remains then a rest for the people of God.

³⁷ And because he loved your fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought you out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt;

⁷ The LORD did not set his love on you, nor choose you, because you were more in number than any people; for you were the fewest of all people: ⁸ But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn to your fathers, has the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of servants, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. ⁹ Know therefore that the LORD your God, he is God, the faithful God, which keeps covenant and mercy with those that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

¹⁵ Only the LORD had a delight in your fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day.

³ Yes, he loved the people; all his saints are in your hand: And they sat down at your feet; every one shall receive of your words.

²⁶ There is none like to the God of Jeshurun, who rides on the heaven in your help, and in his excellency on the sky.

¹⁷ But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children's children;

⁴ Draw me, we will run after you: The king has brought me into his chambers: We will be glad and rejoice in you, we will remember your love more than wine: The upright love you.

¹⁷ But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: You shall not be ashamed nor confounded for all eternity.

⁸ In a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; but with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you", said the LORD your Redeemer. ⁹ "For this is like the waters of Noah to Me: For as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so I have sworn that I would not be wroth with you, nor rebuke you.

¹ "When Israel was a child, I loved him then, and called My son out of Egypt.

⁴ I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: And I was to them as those that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid up food to them.

² "I have loved you", says the LORD. "Yet you all say, 'In what have You loved us?' Was not Esau Jacob's brother?" says the LORD: "Yet I loved Jacob,

⁴⁴ No one can come to Me, unless the Father which has sent Me draws him: And I will raise him up at the last day. ⁴⁵ It is written in the prophets, 'And they shall all be taught of God.' Every man therefore that has heard, and has learned of the Father, comes to Me.

³⁰ Moreover, whom He predestined, these He also called: Whom He called, these He also justified: And whom He justified, these He also glorified.

¹³ As it is written, "Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated."

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: ⁴ Even as He has chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: ⁵ Having predestined us to the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

⁴ But God, who is rich in mercy, through His great love with which He loved us, ⁵ even when we were dead in sins, has vivified us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved);

¹³ But we are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brethren, beloved of the Lord, because God has chosen you for salvation from the beginning through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: ¹⁴ Therefore He called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. ¹⁵ Therefore, brethren, stand firm, and hold the traditions which you have been taught, whether by word, or our letter. ¹⁶ Now our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God, even our Father, which has loved us, and has given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

⁹ Who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

³ For we ourselves were also sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving diverse lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. ⁴ But after that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, ⁵ not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit; ⁶ which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior;

¹⁸ Of His own will He begot us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first-fruits of His creatures.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

¹⁹ We love Him, because He first loved us.

²⁰ And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand; and all the women went out after her with tambourines and with dances. ²¹ And Miriam answered them, "Sing to the LORD, for He has triumphed gloriously; He has thrown the horse and his rider into the sea."

³⁴ And Jephthah came to Mizpeh to his house, and behold, his daughter came out to meet him with tambourines and with dances: And she was his only child; beside her he had neither son nor daughter.

⁶ And it came to pass as they came, when David had returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet king Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments of music. ⁷ And the women answered one another as they played, and said, "Saul has slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands."

²¹ This is the word that the LORD has spoken concerning him; The virgin the daughter of Zion has despised you, and laughed you to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem has shaken her head at you.

¹⁸ Do good to Zion in your good pleasure: Build the walls of Jerusalem.

³⁵ For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: That they may dwell there, and have it in possession.

³ Let them praise His name in the dance: Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.

³ Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet: Praise Him with the psaltery and harp. ⁴ Praise Him with the timbrel and dance: Praise Him with stringed instruments and organs. ⁵ Praise Him upon the loud cymbals: Praise Him upon the high sounding cymbals. ⁶ Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. All of you, praise the LORD.

²² This is the word which the LORD has spoken concerning him; 'The virgin, the daughter of Zion, has despised you, and laughed you to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem has shaken her head at you.

¹⁰ See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant."

¹⁷ Therefore you shall say this word to them; 'Let my eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease: For the virgin daughter of my people has been broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow.

¹³ Therefore thus says the LORD; "All of you ask now among the heathen, who has heard such things: The virgin of Israel has done a very horrible thing.

¹⁸ Thus says the LORD; 'Behold, I will bring back the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwelling places; and the city shall be built on her own heap, and the palace shall remain after its manner. ¹⁹ And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry: And I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

¹³ Then the virgin shall rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: For I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

²¹ "Set up markers, make high heaps: Set your heart toward the highway, even the way which you went: Turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these your cities.

¹⁵ The LORD has trodden under foot all my mighty men in the midst of me: He has called an assembly against me to crush my young men: The LORD has trodden the virgin, the daughter of Judah, as in a winepress.

¹³ What thing shall I take to witness for you? What thing shall I liken to you, O daughter of Jerusalem? What shall I equal to you, that I may comfort you, O virgin daughter of Zion? For your breach is great like the sea: Who can heal you?

² The virgin of Israel has fallen; she shall rise no more: She is forsaken upon her land; there is none to raise her up.

¹¹ In that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David that has fallen, and close up its breaches; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:

²³ And bring here the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:

¹⁶ 'After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; and I will build again its ruins, and I will set it up:

²⁰ and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone; ²¹ in whom all the building, being fitly framed together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord: ²² In whom you also are built together as a habitation of God through the Spirit.

¹ And after these things I heard a great voice of many people in heaven, saying, "Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honor, and power, to the Lord our God: ² For His judgments are true and righteous: For He has judged the great whore, which corrupted the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of His servants at her hand." ³ And again they said, "Alleluia. And her smoke rose up forever and ever." ⁴ And the twenty-four elders and the four beasts fell down and worshiped God that sat on the throne, saying, "Amen; Alleluia." ⁵ Then a voice came out of the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all you His servants, and you that fear Him, both small and great." ⁶ And I heard as it were the voice of a large multitude, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia: For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns. ⁷ Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him: For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready." ⁸ And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: For the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

¹⁰ And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, ¹¹ having the glory of God: And her light was like a most precious stone, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; ¹² and had a large and high wall, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: ¹³ On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. ¹⁴ And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. ¹⁵ And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. ¹⁶ And the city lies four-square, and the length is as large as the breadth: And he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length, breadth, and height of it are equal.12000 furlongs is approximately 1500 miles or 2414 kilometers. ¹⁷ Then he measured its wall, one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.144 Roman cubits is approximately 209 feet or 63.6 meters. ¹⁸ And its wall was built of jasper: And the city was pure gold, like clear glass. ¹⁹ And the foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; ²⁰ the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprase; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.sardius; or, ruby ²¹ And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every distinct gate was of one pearl: And the street of the city was pure gold, even like transparent glass. ²² And I saw no temple in it: For the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. ²³ And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: For the glory of God illuminates it, and the Lamb is the light of it. ²⁴ And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in the light of it: And the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. ²⁵ And its gates shall not be shut at all daily: For there shall be no night there. ²⁶ And they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it. ²⁷ And there shall in no case enter into it anything that defiles, neither anything that works abomination, or makes a lie: But those which are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

²³ And when you shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then you shall count its fruit as uncircumcised: Three years shall it be as uncircumcised to you: It shall not be eaten of. ²⁴ But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy to praise the LORD with. ²⁵ And in the fifth year shall you eat of its fruit, that it may yield to you its increase: I am the LORD your God.

⁶ And what man is he that has planted a vineyard, and has not yet eaten of it? Let him also go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man eat of it.

³⁰ You shall betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: You shall build a house, and you shall not dwell in it: You shall plant a vineyard, and shall not gather its grapes.

⁵ And David answered the priest, and said to him, "Truly women have been kept from us for about three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a manner common, yes, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel."

⁸ The LORD has sworn by His right hand, and by the arm of His strength, "Surely I will no more give your grain to be meat for your enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink your wine, for which you have labored: ⁹ But they who have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they who have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of My holiness."

²¹ And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. ²² They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: For as the days of a tree are the days of My people, and My elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

⁸ But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to My people of Israel; for they are soon to come.

¹⁴ And I will bring home again the captivity of My people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink its wine; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

¹⁹ And those of the south shall possess the mount of Esau; as shall also those of the plain of the Philistines: And they shall possess the fields of Ephraim, and the fields of Samaria: And Benjamin shall possess Gilead.

⁴ But they shall sit, every man, under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: For the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken it.

¹⁰ In that day', says the LORD of hosts, 'all of you shall call every man his neighbor, under the vine and under the fig tree.' "

⁴ And Abijah stood up on Mount Zemaraim, which is in Mount Ephraim, and said, "Hear me, you Jeroboam, and all Israel;

⁵ So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the Passover to the LORD God of Israel at Jerusalem: For they had not done it of a long time in such sort as it was written. ⁶ So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, "You children of Israel, turn again to the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and he will return to the remnant of you, that are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria. ⁷ And be not you like your fathers, and like your brothers, which trespassed against the LORD God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to desolation, as you see. ⁸ Now be you not stiff-necked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he has sanctified forever: And serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you. ⁹ For if you turn again to the LORD, your brothers and your children shall find compassion before those that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: For the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him. ¹⁰ So the posts passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh even to Zebulun: But they laughed them to scorn, and mocked them. ¹¹ Nevertheless diverse of Asher and Manasseh and of Zebulun humbled themselves, and came to Jerusalem.

⁵ Then rose up the chief of the fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, with all them whose spirit God had raised, to go up to build the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem.

¹⁵ And I gathered them together to the river that runs to Ahava; and there stayed we in tents three days: And I viewed the people, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi. ¹⁶ Then sent I for Eliezer, for Ariel, for Shemaiah, and for Elnathan, and for Jarib, and for Elnathan, and for Nathan, and for Zechariah, and for Meshullam, chief men; also for Joiarib, and for Elnathan, men of understanding. ¹⁷ And I sent them with commandment to Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia, and I told them what they should say to Iddo, and to his brothers the Nethinims, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring to us ministers for the house of our God. ¹⁸ And by the good hand of our God on us they brought us a man of understanding, of the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel; and Sherebiah, with his sons and his brothers, eighteen; ¹⁹ and Hashabiah, and with him Jeshaiah of the sons of Merari, his brothers and their sons, twenty; ²⁰ also of the Nethinims, whom David and the princes had appointed for the service of the Levites, two hundred and twenty Nethinims: All of them were expressed by name.

² And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. ³ And many people shall go and say, "Come all of you, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths": For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. ⁴ And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: And they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning-hooks: Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

¹¹ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

⁹ O Zion, that brings good tidings, get up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that brings good tidings, lift up your voice with strength; lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the cities of Judah, "Behold your God!"

⁷ How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good tidings, who publishes peace; who brings good tidings of good, who publishes salvation; who said to Zion, "Your God reigns!" ⁸ Your watchmen shall lift up their voices; with their voices they shall sing together: For they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD brings Zion again.

⁶ I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem, they shall never hold their peace day nor night: You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent,

¹⁷ Also I set watchmen over you, saying, 'Listen to the sound of the trumpet.' But they said, 'We will not listen.'

⁴ In those days, and at that time", said the LORD, "the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: They shall go, and seek the LORD their God. ⁵ They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces towards it, saying, 'Come, and let us join ourselves to the LORD in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten.'

¹⁹ And I will bring Israel to his habitation again, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon Mount Ephraim and Gilead.

¹⁷ "Son of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel: Therefore hear the word of My mouth, and give them warning from Me.

² "Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and say to them, 'When I bring the sword on a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:

⁸ The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: But the prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God.

¹ But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow to it. ² And many nations shall come, and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths": For the law shall go forth from Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. ³ And He shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning-hooks: Nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

²⁰ Thus says the LORD of hosts; 'It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities: ²¹ And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, "Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also." ²² Yes, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.' ²³ Thus says the LORD of hosts; 'In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, "We will go with you: For we have heard that God is with you."

⁵ Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ to them. ⁶ And the people with one accord gave heed to the things which Philip spoke, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. ⁷ For unclean spirits, crying out with a loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: And many who were taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. ⁸ And there was great joy in that city.

¹³ And the LORD shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath; if that you listen to the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day, to observe and to do them:

⁴³ Rejoice, O you nations, with his people: For he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful to his land, and to his people.

⁷ Oh that the salvation of Israel were to come out of Zion! When the LORD brings back the captivity of His people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

⁹ Save Your people, and bless Your inheritance: Feed them also, and lift them up forever.

¹ O sing to the LORD a new song: Sing to the LORD, all the earth. ² Sing to the LORD, bless His name; show forth His salvation from day to day. ³ Declare His glory among the heathen, His wonders among all people.

¹ A Psalm. O sing to the LORD a new song; for He has done marvelous things: His right hand and His holy arm, have gotten Him the victory. ² The LORD has made known His salvation: He has openly shown His righteousness in the sight of the heathen. ³ He has remembered His mercy and His truth toward the house of Israel: All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. ⁴ Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth; make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

⁴⁷ Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks to Your holy name, and to triumph in Your praise.

¹ O praise the LORD, all you nations: Praise Him, all you people. ² For His merciful kindness is great toward us: And the truth of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD.

⁴ All the kings of the earth shall praise You, O LORD, when they hear the words of Your mouth. ⁵ Yes, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: For great is the glory of the LORD.

⁹ Except the LORD of hosts had left to us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like Gomorrah.

¹¹ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

⁴ And in that day you shall say, "Praise the LORD, call on His name, declare His doings among the people, make mention that His name is exalted. ⁵ Sing to the LORD; for He has done excellent things: This is known in all the earth. ⁶ Cry out and shout, you inhabitant of Zion: For great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of you.

¹⁴ They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea. ¹⁵ Why do you glorify the LORD in the fires, even the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea. ¹⁶ From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, "My leanness, my leanness, woe to me! The treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yes, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.

⁴ It may be the LORD your God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master has sent to reproach the living God, and will reprove the words which the LORD your God has heard: Therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.' "

³¹ And the remnant of the house of Judah who have escaped shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward:

¹⁰ Sing to the LORD a new song, and His praise from the end of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it; the isles, and their inhabitants. ¹¹ Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar inhabits: Let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains. ¹² Let them give glory to the LORD, and declare His praise in the islands.

²³ Sing, O you heavens; for the LORD has done it: Shout, you lower parts of the earth: Break forth into singing, you mountains, O forest, and every tree in it: For the LORD has redeemed Jacob, and glorified Himself in Israel.

⁹ And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: All who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD has blessed."

³ And I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

⁸ Yet I will leave a remnant, that you may have some who shall escape the sword among the nations, when you shall be scattered through the countries.

⁷ But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen."

³² And it shall come to pass, that whoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD has said, "and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call."

¹⁵ Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: It may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.

¹² I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of you; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: They shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.

¹⁸ Who is a God like You, that pardons iniquity, and passes by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not maintain His anger forever, because He delights in mercy.

⁹ Therefore as I live," says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, "surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and salt pits, and a perpetual desolation: The residue of My people shall spoil them, and the remnant of My people shall possess them."

¹³ The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: For they shall feed and lie down, and no one shall make them afraid. ¹⁴ Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. ¹⁵ The LORD has taken away your judgments, He has cast out your enemy: The King of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of you: You shall not see evil any more. ¹⁶ In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, "Fear not": And to Zion, "Let not your hands be slack. ¹⁷ The LORD your God is mighty in the midst of you; He will save, He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest in His love, He will joy over you with singing." ¹⁸ "I will gather those that are sorrowful on account of the solemn assembly, who are among you, to whom the reproach of it was a burden. ¹⁹ Behold, at that time I will undo all those that afflict you: And I will save her that limps, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame. ²⁰ At that time I will bring you back again, even in the time that I gather you: For I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes", says the LORD.

²⁷ Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel, "Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:

⁵ Even so then, at this present time there is also a remnant according to the election of grace.

⁴ If any of your be driven out to the outmost parts of heaven, from there will the LORD your God gather you, and from there will he fetch you:

⁵ By frightful things in righteousness You will answer us, O God of our salvation; Who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of those that are afar off upon the sea:

³ He has remembered His mercy and His truth toward the house of Israel: All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

³ and gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.

¹¹ He shall feed His flock like a shepherd: He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

¹⁶ And I will bring the blind by a way that they did not know; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness become light before them, and crooked things straight. I will do these things to them, and not forsake them.

⁶ I will say to the north, 'Give them up'; and to the south, 'Do not keep them back': Bring My sons from afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth;

²² Look to Me, and you will be saved, all the ends of the earth: For I am God, and there is none other.

¹⁰ The LORD has made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

¹² Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, 'Return, you backsliding Israel', said the LORD; 'and I will not cause My anger to fall upon you: For I am merciful', said the LORD, 'and I will not keep anger forever.

⁸ but, 'The LORD lives, who brought up and who led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries where I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.'

¹⁴ And I will be found by you', says the LORD: 'and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have driven you', says the LORD; 'and I will bring you back again into the place from where I caused you to be carried away captive.' "

³⁴ And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries in which you are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out.

⁴¹ I will accept you with your sweet smell, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries in which you have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen.

¹³ And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country.

¹⁶ "I will seek those who were lost, and bring back those who were driven away, and will bind up those who were broken, and will strengthen those who were sick: But I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.

⁶ "In that day", says the LORD, "I will assemble her that limps, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted;

¹⁹ Behold, at that time I will undo all those that afflict you: And I will save her that limps, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame.

⁶ "Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north", says the LORD: "For I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven", says the LORD.

²⁰ A bruised reed He shall not break, and smoking flax He shall not quench, until He sends forth judgment to victory.

¹⁵ So when they had dined, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Feed My lambs."

¹⁰ For if any man sees you which have knowledge sit at food in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him who is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;

¹⁴ Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

¹⁵ For we do not have a High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

¹² Therefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;

²² And you shall say to Pharaoh, 'Thus says the LORD, "Israel is My son, even My firstborn:

⁶ Do you thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? Is not he your father that has bought you? Has he not made you, and established you?

¹⁰ Why David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: And David said, "Blessed be you, LORD God of Israel our father, forever and ever.

² He makes me to lie down in green pastures: He leads me beside the still waters.

⁵ Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. ⁶ He who goes forth and weeps, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

⁶ Then the lame man shall leap as a stag, and the tongue of the mute sing: For in the wilderness waters shall break out, and streams in the desert. ⁷ And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land shall become springs of water: In the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes. ⁸ And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: The wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err in it.

³ The voice of him that cries in the wilderness, "All of you prepare the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. ⁴ Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: And the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places smooth:

¹⁷ When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue fails for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. ¹⁸ I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the middle of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. ¹⁹ I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together:

¹⁶ Thus says the LORD, which makes a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters; ¹⁷ who brings forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: They are extinct, they are quenched as wick. ¹⁸ Do not remember the former things, neither consider the things of old. ¹⁹ Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

⁹ that You may say to the prisoners, 'Go forth'; to those who are in darkness, 'Show yourselves.' "They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places. ¹⁰ They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: For He that has mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall He guide them. ¹¹ And I will make all My mountains a way, and My highways shall be exalted.

¹⁴ and shall say, "Cast up all of you, cast up all of you, prepare the way, take the stumbling-block up out of the way of My people."

¹³ That led them through the deep, as a horse in the wilderness, that they should not stumble?"

¹⁶ Doubtless You are our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel does not acknowledge us: You, O LORD, are our Father, our Redeemer; Your name is from everlasting.

⁸ But now, O LORD, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our potter; and we all are the work of Your hand.

⁴ Will you not from this time forward cry out to Me, 'My Father, You are the guide of my youth'?

¹⁹ But I said, "How shall I put you among the children, and give you a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations?" and I said, "You shall call Me, my Father; and shall not turn away from Me."

²⁰ Is Ephraim my dear son? Is he a pleasant child? For since I spoke against him, I earnestly do remember him still: Therefore My bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy on him", said the LORD.

¹² As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so I will seek out My sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. ¹³ And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country. ¹⁴ I will feed them in a good pasture, and their fold shall be on the high mountains of Israel: They shall lie there in a good fold, and in a fat pasture they shall feed upon the mountains of Israel.

¹⁷ Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of Your servant, and his supplications, and cause Your face to shine upon Your sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake. ¹⁸ O my God, incline Your ear, and hear; open Your eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by Your name: For we do not present our supplications before You on account of our righteousnesses, but because of Your great mercies.

⁴ Yes, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: He wept, and made supplication to him: He found him in Bethel, and there He spoke with us;

¹⁰ And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: And they shall look upon Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

³ For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying, "The voice of one crying in the wilderness, 'Prepare the way of the LORD, make His paths straight.' "

⁴ Blessed are those who mourn: For they shall be comforted.

⁹ In this manner, therefore, pray: 'Our Father which is in heaven, hallowed be Your name.

⁴ as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying: The voice of one crying in the wilderness, 'Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight. ⁵ Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked place will be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth; ⁶ and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.' "

²¹ Blessed are you that hunger now: For you shall be filled. Blessed are you that weep now: For you shall laugh.

²⁶ Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought: But the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

¹⁸ "And will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."

⁹ Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that you sorrowed to repentance: For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer damage by us in nothing. ¹⁰ For godly sorrow works out repentance to salvation, not to be regretted: But the sorrow of the world works death. ¹¹ For behold this very same thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner, yes, what diligence it produced in you, yes, what defense of yourselves, yes, what indignation, yes, what fear, yes, what vehement desire, yes, what zeal, yes, what revenge! In all things you have commended yourselves to be clear in this matter.

⁷ Who in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears to Him that was able to save Him from death, and was heard because He feared;

¹³ and make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.

²³ to the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

¹⁷ For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them to living fountains of waters: And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes."

⁵ By these the isles of the Gentiles were divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.

²⁶ I said, "I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:

¹⁰ The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

¹⁴ They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea.

¹² And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat thresh from the channel of the river to the stream of Egypt, and you shall be gathered one by one, O you children of Israel.

¹ Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: Let them come near; then let them speak: Let us come near together for judgment.

⁴ He shall not fail nor be discouraged, until He has set judgment in the earth: And the isles shall wait for His law.

¹⁰ Sing to the LORD a new song, and His praise from the end of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it; the isles, and their inhabitants.

⁷ "For a small moment have I forsaken you; but with great mercies I will gather you.

⁹ Surely the isles shall wait for Me, and the ships of Tarshish will come first, to bring your sons from afar, their silver and their gold with them, to the name of the LORD your God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because He has glorified you.

¹⁹ And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those who escape of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, who draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard My fame, neither have seen My glory; and they shall declare My glory among the Gentiles.

²² and all the kings of Tyrus, and all the kings of Zidon, and the kings of the isles which are beyond the sea,

¹⁷ Israel is as scattered sheep; the lions have driven him away: First the king of Assyria has devoured him; and last this Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon has broken his bones."

² You shall burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: And you shall take a third part, and smite around it with a knife: And a third part you shall scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them.

¹⁰ Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of you, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in you, and I will scatter the whole remnant of you into all the winds.

¹⁶ Therefore say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet I will be to them like a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come." '

²⁴ And David My servant shall be king over them; and they shall all have one shepherd: They shall also walk in My judgments, and observe My statutes, and do them.

⁴ And He shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD His God; and they shall abide: For now He shall be great to the ends of the earth.

¹¹ The LORD will be terrible to them: For He will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship Him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.

¹⁶ And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of His people: For they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon His land.

³² Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

²⁷ My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me:

⁵² and not for that nation only, but also that He would gather together in one the children of God who were scattered abroad.

²⁸ Therefore take heed to yourselves, and to all the flock, among whom the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which He has purchased with His own blood. ²⁹ For I know this, that after my departure grievous wolves shall enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

⁶ Attend to my cry; for I am brought very low: Deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.

²⁰ Go forth from Babylon, flee from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing you shall declare, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; all of you say, "The LORD has redeemed His servant Jacob."

²⁴ Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?

²¹ "And I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem you out of the hand of the terrible."

³³ Thus says the LORD of hosts; "The children of Israel and the children of Judah were oppressed together: And all who took them captives held them fast; they refused to let them go.

¹⁴ I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be your plagues; O grave, I will be your destruction: Repentance shall be hid from My eyes."

²⁹ Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except if he first binds the strong man? And then he shall spoil his house.

²⁸ Even as the Son of Man did not come to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give His life a ransom for many."

²⁹ Jesus answered and said to them, "You are mistaken, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

²¹ When a strong and armed man keeps his palace, his goods are in peace: ²² But when one stronger than he comes upon him, and overcomes him, he takes from him all his armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils.

¹⁴ who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

¹⁴ Since then, as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; ¹⁵ and deliver those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

⁴ But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared.

³⁰ For you shall be as an oak whose leaf fades, and as a garden that has no water.

² And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. ³ And many people shall go and say, "Come all of you, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths": For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. ⁴ And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: And they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning-hooks: Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. ⁵ O house of Jacob, come all of you, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.

¹ And in that day you shall say, "O LORD, I will praise You: Though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comforted me. ² Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: For the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; He also has become my salvation. ³ Therefore with joy you shall draw water out of the wells of salvation.

¹⁰ And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

¹¹ Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing to Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: They shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.

¹¹ And the LORD shall guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and make your bones fat: And you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

²⁰ Your sun shall no more go down; neither shall your moon withdraw itself: For the LORD shall be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended.

¹⁹ And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in My people: And the voice of weeping shall no longer be heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

⁴ Again I will build you, and you shall be built, O virgin of Israel: You shall be adorned with your tabrets again, and shall go forth in the dances of those who make merry.

⁹ And it shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise and an honor before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do to them: And they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure to it.' ¹⁰ Thus says the LORD; 'Again there shall be heard in this place, which you say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast, ¹¹ the voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of those that shall say, "Praise the LORD of hosts: For the LORD is good; for his mercy endures forever": And of those that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first', said the LORD.

²³ I plant it on the mountain of the height of Israel: And it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: And under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of its branches they they dwell.

⁴⁰ For in My holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel", said the Lord GOD, "there all the house of Israel, all of those in the land, shall serve Me: There I will accept them, and there I will require your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.

²⁰ I will even betroth you to Me in faithfulness: And you shall know the LORD. ²¹ And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear", says the LORD, "I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth; ²² and the earth shall hear the grain, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel. ²³ And I will sow her to Me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to those which were not My people, 'You are My people'; and they shall say, 'You are My God.' "

⁵ Afterward the children of Israel shall return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and His goodness in the latter days.

¹⁸ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth out of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.

¹ But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow to it. ² And many nations shall come, and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths": For the law shall go forth from Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

¹⁵ The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar. ¹⁶ And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of His people: For they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon His land. ¹⁷ For how great is His goodness, and how great is His beauty! Grain kernels shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the virgins.

²² Therefore you now have sorrow: But I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and no man will take your joy from you.

⁴ Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

⁴ And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: For the former things are passed away."

²² and kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy: For the LORD had made them joyful, and turned the heart of the king of Assyria to them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.

²⁷ And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.

⁴³ Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: For God had made them rejoice with great joy: The wives also and the children rejoiced: So that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.

²² as the days in which the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which for them was turned from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: That they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions to one another, and gifts to the poor.

¹¹ You have turned for me my mourning into dancing: You have put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

³ For the LORD shall comfort Zion: He will comfort all her waste places; and He will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found in it, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

³ to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He might be glorified.

¹⁸ But all of you be glad and rejoice forever in what I create: For, behold, I create Jerusalem as a rejoicing, and her people a joy. ¹⁹ And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in My people: And the voice of weeping shall no longer be heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

⁴ Thus says the LORD of hosts; 'There shall yet dwell old men and old women in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand on account of great age. ⁵ And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in those streets.'

¹⁹ "Thus says the LORD of hosts; 'The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be joy and gladness to the house of Judah, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.'

⁸ And of Levi he said, "Let your Thummim and your Urim be with your holy one, whom you did prove at Massah, and with whom you did strive at the waters of Meribah; ⁹ who said to his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brothers, nor knew his own children: For they have observed your word, and kept your covenant. ¹⁰ They shall teach Jacob your judgments, and Israel your law: They shall put incense before you, and whole burnt sacrifice on your altar. ¹¹ Bless, LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands; smite through the loins of those that rise against him, and of those that hate him, that they rise not again.

⁴¹ Now therefore arise, O LORD God, into your resting place, you, and the ark of your strength: Let your priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, and let your saints rejoice in goodness.

³⁹ For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the grain, of the new wine, and the oil, to the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the porters, and the singers: And we will not forsake the house of our God.

¹⁵ As for me, I will behold Your face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with Your likeness.

⁸ They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of Your house; and You shall make them drink of the river of Your pleasures.

⁵ My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips:

⁴ Blessed is the man whom You choose, and cause to approach to You, that he may dwell in Your courts: We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, even of Your holy temple.

⁹ For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.

⁹ Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness; and let Your saints shout for joy.

¹⁶ I also will clothe her priests with salvation: And her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

¹ I have come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: Eat, O friends; drink, yes, drink abundantly, O beloved.

⁶ And in this mountain the LORD of hosts shall make a feast of fat things to all people, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

¹ "Ho, everyone who thirsts, all of you come to the waters, and he who has no money; come all of you, buy, and eat; yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. ² Why do you spend money for that which is not bread? And your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen to Me diligently, and eat that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. ³ Incline your ear, and come to Me: Hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

⁶ But you shall be named the Priests of the LORD: Men shall call you the Ministers of our God: You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory you yourselves shall boast.

¹⁰ "Rejoice all of you with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you who love her: Rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn for her: ¹¹ That you may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that you may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory." ¹² For thus says the LORD, "Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: Then you shall suck, you shall be borne on her sides, and be dandled on her knees. ¹³ As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you; and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem." ¹⁴ And when you see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like a herb: And the hand of the LORD shall be known toward His servants, and His indignation toward His enemies.

²⁵ For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul."

⁹ And it shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise and an honor before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do to them: And they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure to it.'

⁶ Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness: For they shall be filled.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

¹⁹ and to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God.

⁹ But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light:

¹⁰ and have made us kings and priests to our God: And we shall reign on the earth."

¹⁶ They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. ¹⁷ For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them to living fountains of waters: And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes."

²⁴ And Enoch walked with God: And he was not; for God took him.

¹⁹ And Rachel died, and was buried on the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem.

³⁵ And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, "For I will go down into the grave to my son still mourning." Thus his father wept for him.

¹³ And they said, "Your servants are twelve brothers, the sons of one man in the land of Canaan; and behold, the youngest is with our father this day, and one is no more."

³⁶ And their father Jacob said to them, "You have bereaved me of my children: Joseph is no more, and Simeon is not here, and will you take Benjamin away: All these things are against me."

²⁵ Gibeon, and Ramah, and Beeroth,

¹⁷ And his return was to Ramah; for his house was there; and he judged Israel there; and he built an altar to the LORD there.

²¹ And why do you not pardon my transgression, and take away my iniquity? For now shall I sleep in the dust; and you shall seek me in the morning, but I shall not be.

³⁶ Yet he passed away, and see, he was not there: Yes, I sought him, but he could not be found.

² In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: My sore ran in the night, and did not cease: My soul refused to be comforted.

⁴ Therefore I said, "Look away from me; I will weep bitterly, do not labor to comfort me, because of the spoiling of the daughter of my people.

²⁰ My tabernacle is spoiled, and all my cords are broken: My children have gone forth from me, and they are no more: There is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my curtains.

¹ The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all that were carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, which were carried away captive to Babylon.

⁷ Our fathers have sinned, and are no more; and we have borne their iniquities.

¹⁰ and He spread it before me; and it was written within and on the back: And written on it were lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

¹⁶ Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked by the wise men, was exceedingly wroth, and sent forth, and killed all the children that were in Bethlehem, and inside all its borders, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men. ¹⁷ Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying, ¹⁸ "In Ramah there was a voice heard, lamentation, weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are no more."

³¹ And he washed his face, and went out, and refrained himself, and said, "Set out the bread."

¹ Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all those that stood by him; and he cried, "Cause every man to go out from me." And no man stood there with him, while Joseph made himself known to his brothers.

¹² The LORD recompense your work, and a full reward be given you from the LORD God of Israel, under Whose wings you have come to trust."

⁷ Be you strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: For your work shall be rewarded.

⁵ Then rose up the chief of the fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, with all them whose spirit God had raised, to go up to build the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem. ⁶ And all those that were about them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with beasts, and with precious things, beside all that was willingly offered. ⁷ Also Cyrus the king brought forth the vessels of the house of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem, and had put them in the house of his gods; ⁸ even those did Cyrus king of Persia bring forth by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and numbered them to Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah. ⁹ And this is the number of them: Thirty chargers of gold, a thousand chargers of silver, nine and twenty knives, ¹⁰ thirty basins of gold, silver basins of a second sort four hundred and ten, and other vessels a thousand. ¹¹ All the vessels of gold and of silver were five thousand and four hundred. All these did Sheshbazzar bring up with them of the captivity that were brought up from Babylon to Jerusalem.

⁵ For His anger endures but a moment; in His favor is life: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

⁷ Go your way, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart; God accepts your works for now.

⁸ He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and He shall take away the rebuke of His people from off all the earth: For the LORD has spoken it.

¹⁹ For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: You shall weep no more: He will be very gracious to you at the voice of your cry; when He shall hear it, He will answer you.

¹⁸ Thus says the LORD; 'Behold, I will bring back the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwelling places; and the city shall be built on her own heap, and the palace shall remain after its manner.

⁴ Again I will build you, and you shall be built, O virgin of Israel: You shall be adorned with your tabrets again, and shall go forth in the dances of those who make merry. ⁵ You shall yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: The planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things.

¹¹ the voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of those that shall say, "Praise the LORD of hosts: For the LORD is good; for his mercy endures forever": And of those that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first', said the LORD.

¹⁷ Therefore say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel." ' ¹⁸ And they shall come there, and they shall take away all the detestable things of it and all its abominations from there.

⁴¹ I will accept you with your sweet smell, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries in which you have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen. ⁴² And you shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for which I lifted up My hand to give it to your fathers.

³⁸ Then He came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and saw the tumult, and those who wept and wailed greatly. ³⁹ And when He came in, He said to them, "Why make this ado, and weep? The damsel is not dead, but sleeps."

¹³ And they said to her, "Woman, why do you weep?" She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him." ¹⁴ And when she had said this, she turned herself back around, and saw Jesus standing, and did not know that it was Jesus. ¹⁵ Jesus said to her, "Woman, why do you weep? Whom do you seek?" She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, "Sir, if You have carried Him from this place, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away."

¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those which are also deceased in Jesus.

¹⁰ For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

⁶ But without faith it is impossible to please Him: For he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him.

¹³ You shall arise, and have mercy upon Zion: For the time to favor her, yes, the set time has come, ¹⁴ for Your servants take pleasure in her stones, and favor her dust.

¹³ But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be consumed: As a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: So the holy seed shall be the substance of it."

¹¹ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. ¹² And He shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. ¹³ The envy of Ephraim shall also depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim. ¹⁴ But they shall fly on the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil those of the east together: They shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them. ¹⁵ And the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with His mighty wind He shall shake His hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over with dry sandals. ¹⁶ And there shall be a highway for the remnant of His people, which shall be left, from Assyria; as it was for Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

¹¹ For I know the thoughts that I think toward you', said the LORD, 'thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. ¹² Then you shall call upon Me, and you shall go and pray to Me, and I will hearken to you. ¹³ And you shall seek Me, and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. ¹⁴ And I will be found by you', says the LORD: 'and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have driven you', says the LORD; 'and I will bring you back again into the place from where I caused you to be carried away captive.' " ¹⁵ Because you have said, 'The LORD has raised us up prophets in Babylon'; ¹⁶ know that thus says the LORD of the king that sits on the throne of David, and of all the people that dwell in this city, and of your brothers who have not gone forth with you into captivity;

²⁷ "But do not fear, O My servant Jacob, and do not be dismayed, O Israel: For, behold, I will save you from afar off, and your seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him afraid. ²⁸ Do not fear, O Jacob My servant", said the LORD: "for I am with you; for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have driven you: But I will not make a full end of you, but correct you in measure; yet I will not leave you wholly unpunished."

¹⁸ And I said, "My strength and my hope have perished from the LORD":

²¹ This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope.

²⁶ It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

¹¹ Then He said to me, "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: Behold, they say, 'Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: We are cut off for our parts. ¹² Therefore prophesy and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "Behold, O My people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. ¹³ And you shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up out of your graves, ¹⁴ and shall put My spirit in you, and you shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: Then you shall know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it", said the LORD.' "

²⁵ And they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, in which your fathers have dwelled; and they shall dwell in it, even they and their children, and their children's children forever: And My servant David shall be their prince forever.

²⁸ then they shall know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: But I have gathered them to their own land, and have left none of them there any more.

¹⁵ And I will give her her vineyards from there, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: And she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.

⁸ Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; except that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob", says the LORD. ⁹ "For lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, as grain is sifted in a sieve, yet the smallest grain shall not fall upon the earth.sift: In Hebrew, cause to movegrain: In Hebrew, stone

²² And unless those days are shortened, no flesh would be saved: But for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

²³ And they also, if they do not still abide in unbelief, shall be grafted in: For God is able to graft them in again. ²⁴ For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: How much more shall these, which are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree? ²⁵ For I do not intend, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. ²⁶ And so all Israel shall be saved: As it is written, "There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

¹⁷ Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects: Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty:

²⁷ He looks on men, and if any say, "I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not; ²⁸ he will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.

⁹ Do not be as the horse, nor as the mule, which have no understanding: Whose mouths must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near to you."

⁸ Deliver me from all my transgressions: Do not make me the reproach of the foolish. ⁹ I was dumb, I did not open my mouth; because you did it.

³ Turn us around again, O God, and cause Your face to shine; and we shall be saved.

⁷ Turn us around again, O God of hosts, and cause Your face to shine; and we shall be saved.

¹⁹ Turn us around again, O LORD God of Hosts, cause Your face to shine; and we shall be saved.

⁴ Restore us, O God of our salvation, and cause Your anger toward us to cease.

¹² Blessed is the man whom You chasten, O LORD, and teach him out of Your law;

¹⁹ For He has looked down from the height of His sanctuary; from heaven the LORD beheld the earth; ²⁰ to hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;

⁷⁵ I know, O LORD, that Your judgments are right, and that in faithfulness You have afflicted me.

¹¹ My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of His correction:

³ A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the fool's back.

¹ He, that often being reproved hardens his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

⁵ Why should you be stricken any more? You will revolt more and more: The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

¹³ For the people do not turn to Him that smites them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts.

²⁰ Your sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: They are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of your God.

⁷ He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He did not open his mouth: He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so He does not open his mouth.

¹⁵ For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. ¹⁶ For I will not contend forever, neither will I always be wroth: For the spirit would fail before Me, and the souls which I have made. ¹⁷ For the iniquity of his covetousness I was wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on backsliding in the way of his heart. ¹⁸ I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners.

³⁰ "In vain I have smitten your children; they received no correction: Your own sword has devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.

²¹ A voice was heard on the high places, weeping and supplications of the children of Israel: For they have perverted their way, and they have forgotten the LORD their God. ²² Return, you backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come to you; for you are the LORD our God."

²⁵ We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covers us: For we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even to this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.

³ O LORD, are not your eyes upon the truth? You have stricken them, but they have not grieved; You have consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: They have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

¹⁴ Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: For You are my praise.

⁶ For there shall be a day, that the watchmen on the Mount Ephraim shall cry, 'Arise all of you, and let us go up to Zion to the LORD our God.' "

⁹ They shall come with weeping, and with supplications I will lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way in which they shall not stumble: For I am a Father to Israel, and Ephraim is My firstborn.

²⁷ It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth. ²⁸ He sits alone and keeps silence, because He has borne it on him. ²⁹ He puts his mouth in the dust; if so there may yet be hope. ³⁰ He gives his cheek to him who smites him: He is fully filled with reproach.

²¹ Turn us to You, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.

¹⁶ For Israel slides back as a backsliding heifer: Now the LORD will feed them as a lamb in a large place.

¹² Therefore I will be to Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness. ¹³ When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then Ephraim went to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: Yet he could not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.

¹⁵ I will go and return to My place, until they acknowledge their offense, and seek My face: In their affliction they will seek Me early."

¹¹ And Ephraim is as a heifer that is taught, and loves to tread out the grain; but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods."

⁸ How shall I give you up, Ephraim? How shall I deliver you, Israel? How shall I make you as Admah? How shall I set you as Zeboim? My heart is turned within Me, My repentings are kindled together. ⁹ I will not execute the fierceness of My anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: For I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of you: And I will not enter into the city.

⁴ "I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: For My anger is turned away from him. ⁵ I will be as the dew to Israel: He shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon. ⁶ His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon. ⁷ Those that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the grain, and grow as the vine: its scent shall be as the wine of Lebanon. ⁸ Ephraim shall say, 'What have I to do with idols any more?' I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From Me your fruit is found."

² She did not obey the voice; she did not receive correction; she did not trust in the LORD; she did not draw near to her God.

⁶ And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse."

¹⁷ For He shall go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, 'to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children', and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord."

²⁰ And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was still a long way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

²⁶ First to you, God has raised up His Son Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning every one of you away from his iniquities."

¹³ For it is God which works in you both to will and to do His good pleasure.

⁵ And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to children, "My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked by Him:

¹⁶ Do not err, my beloved brethren. ¹⁷ Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, nor shadow of turning. ¹⁸ Of His own will He begot us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first-fruits of His creatures.

¹⁹ As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: Therefore be zealous, and repent.

⁴¹ and that I also have walked contrary to them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity: ⁴² Then will I remember My covenant with Jacob, and also My covenant with Isaac, and also My covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

² and shall return to the LORD your God, and shall obey his voice according to all that I command you this day, you and your children, with all your heart, and with all your soul;

⁶ And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your seed, to love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live. ⁷ And the LORD your God will put all these curses on your enemies, and on them that hate you, which persecuted you. ⁸ And you shall return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command you this day.

⁶ and said, "O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to you, my God: For our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is grown up to heaven.

²⁶ For you write bitter things against me, and make me to possess the iniquities of my youth.

¹¹ His bones are full of the sin of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust.

⁷ Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: According to your mercy remember me for Your goodness' sake, O LORD.

⁴ Fear not; for you shall not be ashamed: Neither will you be confounded; for you shall not be put to shame: For you shall forget the shame of your youth, and shall not remember the reproach of your widowhood any more.

²¹ I spoke to you in your prosperity; but you said, 'I will not hear.' This has been your manner from your youth, that you have not obeyed My voice.

³⁰ For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before Me from their youth: For the children of Israel have only provoked Me to anger with the work of their hands', said the LORD.

⁹ And those of you who escape shall remember Me among the nations where they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which has departed from Me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: And they shall loathe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

⁶¹ Then you shall remember your ways, and be ashamed, when you shall receive your sisters, your elder and your younger: And I will give them to you for daughters, but not by your covenant. ⁶² And I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall know that I am the LORD: ⁶³ That you may remember, and be confounded, and never open your mouth any more because of your shame, when I am pacified toward you for all that you have done", said the Lord GOD.' "

⁴³ And there you shall remember your ways, and all your doings, in which you have been defiled; and you shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that you have committed. ⁴⁴ And you shall know that I am the LORD when I have worked with you for My name's sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O you house of Israel", said the Lord GOD.' "

¹² Cry and howl, son of man: For it shall be on My people, it shall be on all the princes of Israel: Terrors by reason of the sword shall be on My people: Therefore smite on your thigh.

³ And they committed whoredoms in Egypt; they committed whoredoms in their youth: Their breasts were pressed there, and they bruised the teats of their virginity there.

²⁶ I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you: And I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

³¹ Then you shall remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.

¹⁷ And when he came to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have enough bread with some to spare, yet I perish with hunger! ¹⁸ I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before you, ¹⁹ and am no longer worthy to be called your son: Make me as one of your hired servants." '

³⁰ But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your estate with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.'

¹³ And the publican, standing afar off, would not so much as lift up his eyes to heaven, but smote his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me a sinner.'

²¹ What fruit did you have then in those things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

³ Among whom we all also had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

²⁵ in meekness instructing those that are in opposition; if God peradventure will give them repentance concerning the acknowledgment of the truth;

³ For we ourselves were also sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving diverse lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. ⁴ But after that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, ⁵ not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit; ⁶ which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior; ⁷ that being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

³⁰ And Joseph made haste; for his bowels yearned upon his brother: And he sought where to weep; and he entered into his chamber, and wept there.

³⁶ For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.

¹⁶ And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the LORD: And his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.

²⁶ Then spoke the woman whose the living child was to the king, for her bowels yearned on her son, and she said, "O my lord, give her the living child, and in no wise slay it. But the other said, "Let it be neither my nor yours, but divide it.

¹³ As a father pities his children, so the LORD pities those who fear Him.

¹² For whom the LORD loves He corrects; even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights.

⁴ My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my insides were moved for him.

¹¹ Therefore my heart shall sound like a harp for Moab, and my inward parts for Kirharesh.

⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: And let him return to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

¹⁵ Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of Your holiness and of Your glory: Where is Your zeal and Your strength, the sounding of Your bowels and of Your mercies toward me? Are they restrained?

³⁶ Therefore My heart shall sound for Moab like pipes, and My heart shall sound like pipes for the men of Kirheres: Because the riches that he has gotten have perished.

³¹ For the LORD will not cast off forever: ³² But though He cause grief, yet He will have compassion according to the multitude of His mercies.

⁴ "I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: For My anger is turned away from him.

¹⁸ Who is a God like You, that pardons iniquity, and passes by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not maintain His anger forever, because He delights in mercy. ¹⁹ He will return again, He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

²⁴ For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.' And they began to be merry.

³² It was proper that we should make merry, and be glad: For your brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.' "

⁸ For God is my witness, how greatly I long after you all in the tender mercy of Jesus Christ.

⁴⁶ And he said to them, "Set your hearts to all the words which I testify among you this day, which you shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.

³ Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of my own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house.

¹⁶ And after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts to seek the LORD God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice to the LORD God of their fathers.

³ And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

¹⁰ Do not trust in oppression, and do not become ostentatious in robbery: If riches increase, do not set your heart upon them.

⁵ Blessed is the man whose strength is in You; in whose heart are the ways of them.

³² Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction.

¹¹ Depart all of you, depart, go out from there, touch no unclean thing; go out of the midst of her; be clean, you who bear the vessels of the LORD. ¹² For you shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: For the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rear-guard.

¹⁰ Go through, go through the gates; prepare the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.

¹⁴ 'Turn, O backsliding children', said the LORD; 'for I am married to you: And I will take one of you from a city, and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

⁵ They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces towards it, saying, 'Come, and let us join ourselves to the LORD in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten.'

⁶ Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: Be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD's vengeance; He will render to her a recompense.

⁵⁰ You who have escaped the sword, go away, do not stand still: Remember the LORD afar off, and let Jerusalem come into your mind.

⁴ And the man said to me, "Son of man, behold with your eyes, and hear with your ears, and set your heart upon all that I shall show you; because you were brought to this place for the intent that I might show them to you: Declare all that you see to the house of Israel."

⁵ Now therefore thus says the LORD of hosts; "Consider your ways.

⁶ "Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north", says the LORD: "For I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven", says the LORD. ⁷ "Deliver yourself, O Zion, that dwell with the daughter of Babylon."

⁹ And I will sow them among the people: And they shall remember Me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and return again.

¹⁵ And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel."

³⁰ But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain to them, and they go down quick into the pit; then you shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.

¹⁴ Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.

¹⁸ And now what have you to do in the way of Egypt, to drink the waters of Sihor? Or what have you to do in the way of Assyria, to drink the waters of the river?

²³ "How can you say, 'I am not polluted, I have not gone after Baalim?' See your way in the valley, know what you have done: You are a swift dromedary traversing her ways;

³⁶ Why gad you about so much to change your way? You also shall be ashamed of Egypt, as you were ashamed of Assyria.

⁶ The LORD also said to me in the days of Josiah the king, "Have you seen that which backsliding Israel has done? She has gone up on every high mountain and under every green tree, and there has played the harlot.

⁸ And I saw, that for all the causes by which backsliding Israel committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear, but went and played the harlot also.

¹¹ And the LORD said to me, "The backsliding Israel has justified herself more than treacherous Judah. ¹² Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, 'Return, you backsliding Israel', said the LORD; 'and I will not cause My anger to fall upon you: For I am merciful', said the LORD, 'and I will not keep anger forever.

²² Return, you backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come to you; for you are the LORD our God."

¹⁴ O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved. How long shall your vain thoughts lodge within you?

²⁴ But they did not listen, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

⁴ Moreover you shall say to them, "Thus says the LORD; 'Shall they fall, and not arise? Shall he turn away, and not return?' ⁵ Why then is this people of Jerusalem slid back by a perpetual backsliding? They hold fast deceit, they refuse to return. ⁶ I listened and heard, but they did not speak aright: No man repented of his wickedness, saying, 'What have I done?' Everyone turned to his course, as the horse rushes into the battle.

²⁷ I have seen your adulteries, and your neighings, the lewdness of your whoredom, and your abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe to you, O Jerusalem! Will you not be made clean? When shall it be for once?"

⁷ O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, do it for Your name's sake: For our backslidings are many; we have sinned against You.

⁴ Why do you glory in the valleys, your flowing valley, O backsliding daughter? She trusted in her treasures, saying, 'Who shall come to me?'

⁵ Your calf, O Samaria, has cast you off; My anger is kindled against them: How long will it be before they attain innocence?

⁷ And My people are bent to backsliding away from Me: Though they called them to the most High, none would exalt Him at all.

¹¹ But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.

²¹ And she shall bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS: For He shall save His people from their sins."

³⁴ Then Mary said to the angel, "How shall this be, seeing I have not known a man?" ³⁵ And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you: Therefore that Holy One which shall be born of you shall also be called the Son of God.

⁴ But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

⁴ And behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said to the reapers, "The LORD be with you." And they answered him, "The LORD bless you."

⁵ For there are set the thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David. ⁶ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "They shall prosper that love you. ⁷ Peace be within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces." ⁸ For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, "Peace be within you."

⁵ The LORD shall bless you out of Zion: And you shall see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life.

⁸ Neither do those which pass by say, "The blessing of the LORD be upon you: We bless you in the name of the LORD."

³ The LORD that made heaven and earth bless you out of Zion.

²¹ How has the faithful city become a harlot! It was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.

²⁶ And I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counsellors as at the beginning: Afterward you shall be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city."

²¹ Your people shall all be righteous also: They shall inherit the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified.

⁵ "Behold, the days come", said the LORD, "that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. ⁶ In His days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: And this is His name by which he shall be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. ⁷ Therefore, behold, the days come", said the LORD, "that they shall no more say, 'The LORD lives, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt'; ⁸ but, 'The LORD lives, who brought up and who led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries where I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.'

¹⁵ In those days, and at that time, I will cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up to David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land. ¹⁶ In those days Judah shall be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: And this is the name with which she shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.' ¹⁷ For thus says the LORD; 'David shall never want a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel; ¹⁸ neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before Me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle food offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.' " ¹⁹ And the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying, ²⁰ "Thus says the LORD; 'If you can break My covenant of the day, and My covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season; ²¹ then also may My covenant be broken with David My servant, that he should not have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levites the priests, My ministers. ²² As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: So I will multiply the seed of David My servant, and the Levites who minister to Me.' ²³ Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,

⁷ All who found them have devoured them: And their adversaries said, 'We do not offend, because they have sinned against the LORD, the habitation of justice, even the LORD, the hope of their fathers.'

¹⁷ But upon Mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.deliverance; or, those that escapethere shall be holiness; or, it shall be holy

¹ But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow to it.

³ Thus says the LORD; 'I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: And Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.'

¹¹ the voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of those that shall say, "Praise the LORD of hosts: For the LORD is good; for his mercy endures forever": And of those that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first', said the LORD. ¹² Thus says the LORD of hosts; 'Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all its cities, shall be a habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down. ¹³ In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that tells them', said the LORD.

¹⁰ And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: And the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be built:

⁴ and said to him, "Run, speak to this young man, saying, 'Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and domestic beasts within it:

⁴ Thus says the LORD of hosts; 'There shall yet dwell old men and old women in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand on account of great age. ⁵ And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in those streets.' ⁶ Thus says the LORD of hosts; 'If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvelous in My eyes?' says the LORD of hosts. ⁷ Thus says the LORD of hosts; 'Behold, I will save My people from the east country, and from the west country;the west country: In Hebrew, the country of the going down of the sun ⁸ and I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: And they shall be My people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.'

² And a man shall be like a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

⁴ The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary: He wakens morning by morning, He wakens my ear to hear as the learned.

¹⁴ And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and My people shall be satisfied with My goodness", said the LORD.

⁵³ He has filled the hungry with good things; and the rich He has sent away empty.

¹⁴ But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."

⁶ Nevertheless God, that comforts those who are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;

² It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: For He gives His beloved sleep.

¹ And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep. ² And said to me, "What do you see?" And I said, "I have looked, and behold a candlestick of all gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and its seven lamps, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top of it:

¹⁹ And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry: And I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

⁹ For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you shall be tilled and sown:

¹¹ And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: And I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better to you than at your beginnings: And you shall know that I am the LORD.

²³ And I will sow her to Me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to those which were not My people, 'You are My people'; and they shall say, 'You are My God.' "

¹⁶ When the LORD shall build up Zion, He shall appear in His glory.

² The LORD builds up Jerusalem: He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.

² A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; ³ A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

⁷ At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it; ⁸ if that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do to them. ⁹ And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it;

⁶ For I will set my eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them to this land again: And I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.

⁴¹ Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with My whole heart and with My whole soul.'

²⁷ Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: And all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them.

⁴ Thus you shall say to him, 'The LORD said thus; "Behold, that which I have built I will break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.

¹⁴ Therefore, the LORD has watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: For the LORD our God is righteous in all His works which He does: For we did not obey His voice.

²⁵ Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem to the Messiah the Prince, shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks: The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

³⁰ But every one shall die for his own iniquity: Every man who eats the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.

² "What do you mean, that you use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, 'The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge'? ³ As I live", said the Lord GOD, "you shall not have occasion to use this proverb in Israel any more.

¹⁶ The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: Every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

¹¹ Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him: For the reward of his hands shall be given him.

¹⁸ When I say to the wicked, 'You shall surely die'; and you do not give him warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. ¹⁹ Yet if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.

²⁴ Then the Spirit entered into me, and set me on my feet, and spoke with me, and said to me, "Go, shut yourself within your house.

⁴ Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father is mine, so also is the soul of the son: The soul that sins, it shall die.

²⁰ The soul that sins, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: The righteousness of the righteous shall be on him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be on him.

⁸ When I say to the wicked, 'O wicked man, you shall surely die'; if you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but I will require his blood at your hand.

¹³ When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trusts in his own righteousness, and commits iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he has committed, he shall die for it.

¹⁸ When the righteous turns from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, for that he shall even die.

⁵ For every man shall bear his own burden.

⁷ Do not be deceived; God is not mocked: For whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap. ⁸ For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

¹⁵ Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: And sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.

⁵ "Behold, the days come", said the LORD, "that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

²⁷ "Behold, the days come", said the LORD, "that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast.

³¹ "Behold, the days come", said the LORD, "that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: ³² Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them", said the LORD: ³³ "But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days", said the LORD, "I will put My law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be My people. ³⁴ And they shall no more teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD': For they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them", said the LORD: "for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more."

⁴⁰ And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from Me.

¹⁴ 'Behold, the days come', said the LORD, 'that I will perform that good thing which I have promised to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah. ¹⁵ In those days, and at that time, I will cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up to David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land. ¹⁶ In those days Judah shall be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: And this is the name with which she shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.'

²⁶ Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: And I will place them, and multiply them, and will set My sanctuary in the midst of them forevermore.

¹³ "Behold, the days come", says the LORD, "that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that sows seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.sweet; or, new

²⁸ for this is My blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

²⁴ And He said to them, "This is My blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.

²⁰ Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new testament in My blood, which is shed for you.

²⁵ In the same manner He also took the cup, when he had sipped, saying, "This cup is the new testament in My blood: This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."

⁶ Who also has made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the Spirit: For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

¹⁶ And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be upon them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

³ For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

⁶ But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, by which He also is the Mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. ⁷ For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place should have been sought for the second. ⁸ For finding fault with them, He says: "Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: ⁹ Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I did not regard them, says the Lord." ¹⁰ For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD; I will put My laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: And I will be to them a God, and they shall be to Me a people: ¹¹ And every man shall not teach his neighbor, nor every man his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord': For all shall know Me, from the least to the greatest. ¹² For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and iniquities I will remember no more." ¹³ In that He says, "A new covenant", He has made the first old. Now that which decays and waxes old is ready to vanish away.

¹⁵ And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, those who are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

¹⁶ "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them"; ¹⁷ "and their sins and iniquities I will remember no more."

²⁴ and to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Abel.

²⁰ Now the God of peace, that brought forth again our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

⁵ Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice, and keep My covenant, then you shall be a peculiar treasure to Me above all people: For all the earth is Mine:

⁶ And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basins; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. ⁷ And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: And they said, "All that the LORD has said will we do, and be obedient." ⁸ And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, "Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD has made with you concerning all these words."

¹⁵ and if you shall despise My statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that you will not do all My commandments, but that you break My covenant:

³¹ and in the wilderness, where you have seen how that the LORD your God bore you, as a man does bear his son, in all the way that you went, until you came into this place.

³ The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.

¹ These are the words of the covenant, which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.

²¹ And the LORD shall separate him to evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law:

¹⁶ And the LORD said to Moses, "Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, where they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break My covenant which I have made with them.

⁹ There was nothing in the ark save the two tablets of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

²³ Nevertheless I am continually with You: You have held me by my right hand.

⁵ Who is this that comes up from the wilderness, leaning on her beloved? I raised you up under the apple tree: There your mother brought you forth: There she brought you forth who bore you.

⁵ The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.

¹³ For I the LORD your God will hold your right hand, saying to you, 'Fear not; I will help you.

⁵ For your Maker is your husband; the LORD of hosts is His name; and your Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; He shall be called the God of the whole earth.

⁷ For I earnestly protested to your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even to this day, rising early and protesting, saying, "Obey my voice." ⁸ Yet they did not obey, nor inclined their ear, but everyone walked in the imagination of their evil heart: Therefore I will bring on them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do: But they did not do them.' " ⁹ And the LORD said to me, "A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem. ¹⁰ They have turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, who refused to hear My words; and they went after other gods to serve them: The house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken My covenant which I made with their fathers."

⁹ Then they shall answer, 'Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God, and worshiped other gods, and served them.' "

¹ "At the same time", said the LORD, "I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be My people."

¹⁴ "At the end of seven years you shall let go every man his brother a Hebrew, which has been sold to you; and when he has served you six years, you shall let him go free from you": But your fathers did not listen to Me, neither inclined their ear.

⁸ Now when I passed by you, and looked on you, behold, your time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over you, and covered your nakedness: Yes, I swore to you, and entered into a covenant with you", said the Lord GOD, "and you became Mine.

⁵⁹ For thus says the Lord GOD; "I will even deal with you as you have done, who have despised the oath in breaking the covenant. ⁶⁰ Nevertheless I will remember My covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish to you an everlasting covenant. ⁶¹ Then you shall remember your ways, and be ashamed, when you shall receive your sisters, your elder and your younger: And I will give them to you for daughters, but not by your covenant. ⁶² And I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall know that I am the LORD:

³⁷ "And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:

⁴ And the names of them were Aholah the elder, and Aholibah her sister: And they were Mine, and they bore sons and daughters. Thus were their names; Samaria is Aholah, and Jerusalem Aholibah.

² Plead with your mother, plead: For she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: Let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts;

¹ Then the LORD said to me, "Notwithstanding go, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagon pitchers of wine."

³ I also taught Ephraim to go, taking them by their arms; but they did not know that I healed them. ⁴ I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: And I was to them as those that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid up food to them.

²³ And He took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when He had spat on his eyes, and put His hands upon him, He asked him if he saw anything.

²⁹ He that has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: This joy of mine is therefore fulfilled.

² For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: For I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

⁹ Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I did not regard them, says the Lord."

¹⁸ Whereby neither was the first testament dedicated without blood. ¹⁹ For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, ²⁰ saying, "This is the blood of the testament which God has enjoined to you." ²¹ Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. ²² And by the law almost all things are purged with blood; and without shedding of blood there is no remission.

⁶ And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your seed, to love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live.

³¹ The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

⁸ I delight to do Your will, O my God: Yes, Your law is within my heart."

⁷ Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is My law; fear not the reproach of men, neither be afraid of their revilings.

⁷ And I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the LORD: And they shall be My people, and I will be their God: For they shall return to Me with their whole heart.

¹⁹ And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh: ²⁰ That they may walk in My statutes, and keep My ordinances, and do them: And they shall be My people, and I will be their God.

²⁵ Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean: I will cleanse you from all your filthiness, and from all your idols. ²⁶ I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you: And I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. ²⁷ And I will put My spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments, and do them.

²⁷ My tabernacle also shall be with them: Yes, I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

²² For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man:

² For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. ³ For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: ⁴ That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk after the flesh, but after the Spirit. ⁵ For those that are after the flesh mind the things of the flesh; but those that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. ⁶ For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. ⁷ Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: For it is not subject to the law of God, indeed neither can be. ⁸ So then, those that are in the flesh cannot please God.

³ For as much as you are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tablets of stone, but in fleshy tablets of the heart.

⁷ But if the ministration of death, written and engraved in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away with: ⁸ How shall not the ministration of the Spirit be rather glorious?

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, ²³ meekness, temperance: Against such there is no law.

¹⁰ For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD; I will put My laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: And I will be to them a God, and they shall be to Me a people:

¹⁶ "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them";

³ And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.

⁷ He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son.

¹² Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they did not know the LORD.

⁹ And you, Solomon my son, know you the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: For the LORD searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: If you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

⁹ They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain: For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

²⁶ Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD binds up the breach of His people, and heals the stroke of their wound.

²⁴ And the inhabitant shall not say, "I am sick: The people that dwell in it shall be forgiven their iniquity.

²⁵ I, even I, am He that blots out your transgressions for My own sake, and will not remember your sins.

²² I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins: Return to Me; for I have redeemed you.

¹³ And all your children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of your children.

¹⁹ The sun shall no longer be your light by day; neither shall the moon give light to you for brightness: But the LORD shall be to you an everlasting light, and your God your glory. ²⁰ Your sun shall no more go down; neither shall your moon withdraw itself: For the LORD shall be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended. ²¹ Your people shall all be righteous also: They shall inherit the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified.

⁸ And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, by which they have sinned against Me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, byu which they have sinned, and by which they have transgressed against Me.

²⁰ In those days, and at that time", said the LORD, "the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: For I will pardon them whom I preserve.

¹⁴ For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

²⁷ All things are delivered to Me from My Father: And no man knows the Son, except the Father; neither does any man know the Father, except the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal Him.

⁴⁵ It is written in the prophets, 'And they shall all be taught of God.' Every man therefore that has heard, and has learned of the Father, comes to Me.

³ And this is life eternal, that they might know You the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.

⁶ I have manifested Your name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world: They were Yours, and You gave them to Me; and they have kept Your word.

⁴³ To Him all the prophets give witness, that through His name whoever believes in Him shall receive remission of sins."

³⁸ Therefore let it be known to you, men and brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins: ³⁹ And by Him all that believe are justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

²⁶ And so all Israel shall be saved: As it is written, "There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: ²⁷ For this is My covenant to them, when I shall take away their sins."

¹⁰ To whom you forgive anything, I also forgive: For if I forgave anything, to whom I forgave it, I forgave it for your sakes in the person of Christ;

⁶ For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

⁷ In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace;

⁹ But concerning brotherly love, you do not need that I write to you: For you yourselves are taught by God to love one another.

¹² Even though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need that one teach you again what are the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have become such as have need of milk, and not of solid food.

¹² For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and iniquities I will remember no more."

¹⁷ "and their sins and iniquities I will remember no more." ¹⁸ Now where there is remission of these, there is no more offering for sin.

²⁰ But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.

²⁷ But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that any man teach you: But as the same anointing teaches you about all things, and is truth, and is not a lie, and even as it has taught you, you shall abide in Him.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

¹⁴ And God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: ¹⁵ And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: And it was so. ¹⁶ And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: He made the stars also. ¹⁷ And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, ¹⁸ and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: And God saw that it was good.

²¹ And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. ²² And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground: And the waters were a wall to them on their right hand, and on their left.

¹⁹ And lest you lift up your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, should be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD your God has divided to all nations under the whole heaven.

¹² He divides the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smites through the proud.

¹⁰ and broke up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors, ¹¹ and said, "Till now shall you come, but no further: And here shall your proud waves be stayed?

³³ Know you the ordinances of heaven? Can you set its dominion in the earth?

¹ To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork. ² Day to day utters speech, and night to night shows knowledge. ³ There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. ⁴ Their line has gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun,line; or, rule, or, direction ⁵ which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoices as a strong man to run a race. ⁶ His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit to the ends of it: And there is nothing hid from its heat.

⁵ They shall fear You as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.

¹⁷ His name shall endure forever: His name shall be continued as long as the sun: And men shall be blessed in Him: All nations shall call Him blessed.

¹³ You did divide the sea by Your strength: You break the heads of the dragons in the waters.

¹⁶ The day is Yours, the night also is Yours: You have prepared the light and the sun.

¹³ He divided the sea, and caused them to pass through; and He made the waters to stand as a heap.

² For I have said, "Mercy shall be built up forever: You shall establish Your faithfulness in the very heavens."

³⁶ His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before Me. ³⁷ It shall be established forever like the moon, and like a faithful witness in heaven." Selah.

³ The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voices; the floods lift up their waves. ⁴ The LORD on high is mightier than the thunders of many waters, yes, mightier than the mighty waves of the sea.

⁹ He also rebuked the Red Sea, and it was dried up: So He led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.

²⁵ For He commanded, and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves of the sea. ²⁶ They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: Their soul is melted because of trouble. ²⁷ They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end. ²⁸ Then they cry to the LORD in their trouble, and He brings them out of their distresses. ²⁹ He makes the storm calm, so that its waves are still.

³ The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back. ⁴ The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs. ⁵ What ailed you, O sea, that you fled? O Jordan, that you were driven back?

⁸⁹ LAMED: Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.

⁷ To Him that made great lights: For His mercy endures forever: ⁸ The sun to rule by day: For His mercy endures forever: ⁹ The moon and stars to rule by night: For His mercy endures forever.

² For they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves on the God of Israel; The LORD of hosts is his name.

¹⁵ But I am the LORD your God, who divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts is His name.

¹² That led them by the right hand of Moses with His glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make Himself an everlasting name?

²² Do you not fear me?' said the LORD: 'will you not tremble at My presence, who has placed the sand as the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it?: And though the waves of it toss themselves, yet they cannot prevail; though they roar, yet they cannot pass over it?

¹⁶ The portion of Jacob is not like them: For He is the former of all things; and Israel is the rod of His inheritance: The LORD of hosts is His name.

¹⁸ You show lovingkindness to thousands, and recompense the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: The Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is His name,

¹⁸ "As I live", said the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts, "Surely as Tabor is among the mountains, and as Carmel by the sea, so shall he come.

³⁴ Their Redeemer is strong; the LORD of hosts is His name: He shall thoroughly plead their cause, that He may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.

¹⁹ The portion of Jacob is not like them; for He is the Maker of all things: And Israel is the rod of His inheritance: The LORD of hosts is His name.

⁴⁵ that you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: For He makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

²⁵ And His disciples came to Him, and awoke Him, saying, "Lord, save us: We perish." ²⁶ But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then He arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

²⁸ The children of Your servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before You."

⁶ He has also established them forever and ever: He has made a decree which shall not pass.

⁹ "For this is like the waters of Noah to Me: For as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so I have sworn that I would not be wroth with you, nor rebuke you. ¹⁰ For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but My kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall the covenant of My peace be removed", said the LORD who has mercy on you.

²⁸ Do not fear, O Jacob My servant", said the LORD: "for I am with you; for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have driven you: But I will not make a full end of you, but correct you in measure; yet I will not leave you wholly unpunished."

⁷ Can you by searching find out God? Can you find out the Almighty to perfection? ⁸ It is as high as heaven; what can you do? Deeper than hell; what can you know? ⁹ The measure of it is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.

⁴ Who has ascended up into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son's name, if you can tell?

¹² Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

¹¹ For I am with you', said the LORD, 'to save you: Though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you, yet I will not make a full end of you: But I will correct you in measure, and will not leave you altogether unpunished.'

²² As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: So I will multiply the seed of David My servant, and the Levites who minister to Me.'

¹ I say then, has God cast away His people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. ² God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Do you not know what the scripture says of Elijah? How he makes intercession to God against Israel, saying, ³ "LORD, they have killed Your prophets, and torn down Your altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life." ⁴ But what does God say to answer him? "I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal." ⁵ Even so then, at this present time there is also a remnant according to the election of grace.

¹³ And Jehoash king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Jehoash the son of Ahaziah, at Bethshemesh, and came to Jerusalem, and broke down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim to the corner gate, four hundred cubits.

⁹ Moreover Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the corner gate, and at the valley gate, and at the turning of the wall, and fortified them.

¹⁷ Then I said to them, "You see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and its gates are burned with fire: Come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach.

³⁰ And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall. ³¹ Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies of those that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate: ³² And after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the princes of Judah, ³³ and Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam, ³⁴ judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah, ³⁵ and certain of the priests' sons with trumpets; namely, Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Michaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph: ³⁶ And his brothers, Shemaiah, and Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God, and Ezra the scribe before them. ³⁷ And at the fountain gate, which was in front of them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above the house of David, even to the water gate eastward. ³⁸ And the other company of those that gave thanks went in front of them, and I after them, and the half of the people on the wall, from beyond the tower of the furnaces even to the broad wall; ³⁹ and from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even to the sheep gate: And they stood still in the prison gate. ⁴⁰ So stood the two companies of those that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me:

²⁸ Who said of Cyrus, "He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure": Even saying to Jerusalem, "You shall be built"; and to the temple, "Your foundation shall be laid."

³⁰ And these are the goings out of the city on the north side, four thousand and five hundred measures. ³¹ And the gates of the city shall be named after the tribes of Israel: Three gates northward; one gate of Reuben, one gate of Judah, one gate of Levi. ³² And at the east side four thousand and five hundred: And three gates; and one gate of Joseph, one gate of Benjamin, one gate of Dan. ³³ And at the south side four thousand and five hundred measures: And three gates; one gate of Simeon, one gate of Issachar, one gate of Zebulun. ³⁴ At the west side four thousand and five hundred, with their three gates; one gate of Gad, one gate of Asher, one gate of Naphtali. ³⁵ It was eighteen thousand measures all around: And the name of the city from that day forward shall be, The LORD is there."The LORD is there; or in the Hebrew, Jehovahshammah

¹⁰ All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: And it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate to the place of the first gate, to the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel to the king's winepresses.

⁸ He also measured the porch of the inside gate, one reed.

¹ I lifted up my eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand. ² Then I said, "Where are you going?" And he said to me, "To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its width, and what is its length."

²³ And all the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: The king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward the way of the wilderness.

¹⁶ And they laid hands on her; and she went by the way by the which the horses came into the king's house: And there was she slain.

⁶ And he brought out the grove from the house of the LORD, outside Jerusalem, to the brook Kidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and stamped it small to powder, and cast its powder upon the graves of the children of the people.

¹² And the altars that were on the top of the upper chamber of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of the LORD, the king beat those down, and broke them down from there, and cast the dust of them into the brook Kidron.

¹⁵ So they laid hands on her; and when she had come to the entering of the horse gate by the king's house, they slew her there.

²⁸ From above the horse gate repaired the priests, every one in front of his house.

²² Thus said your Lord the LORD, and your God that pleads the cause of His people, "Behold, I have taken out of your hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of My fury; you shall no more drink it again:

³¹ And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I did not command them, neither did it come into My heart. ³² Therefore, behold, the days come", said the LORD, "that it shall no longer be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: For they shall bury in Tophet, until there is no place left.

² And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshiped: They shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung on the face of the earth.

⁷ At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it;

¹¹ and shall say to them', Thus says the LORD of hosts; 'Even so I will break this people and this city, as one breaks a potter's vessel, that cannot be made whole again: And they shall bury them in Tophet, until there is no place left to bury. ¹² Thus I will do to this place', said the LORD, 'and to its inhabitants, and even make this city as Tophet: ¹³ And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet, because of all the houses on whose roofs they have burned incense to all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings to other gods.' "

³⁶ And now therefore thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, of which you say, 'It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence';

² and caused me to pass by them roundabout: And behold, there were very many in the open valley; and lo, they were very dry.

²⁹ Neither will I hide My face from them any more: For I have poured out My spirit upon the house of Israel', says the Lord GOD."

¹ Moreover, when you shall divide the land by lot for inheritance, you shall offer an oblation to the LORD, a holy portion of the land: The length shall be twenty-five thousand reeds, and the width shall be ten thousand. This shall be holy in all its borders all around. ² Of this there shall be for the sanctuary five hundred in length, with five hundred in width, square all around; and fifty cubits all around for its suburbs. ³ And of this measure you shall measure the length of twenty-five thousand, and the width of ten thousand: And in it shall be the sanctuary and the most holy place. ⁴ The holy portion of the land shall be for the priests the ministers of the sanctuary, which shall come near to minister to the LORD: And it shall be a place for their houses, and a holy place for the sanctuary. ⁵ And the twenty-five thousand of length, and the ten thousand of width, the Levites, the ministers of the house, shall also have for themselves, for a possession of twenty chambers. ⁶ And you shall appoint the possession of the city five thousand wide, and twenty-five thousand long, adjacent to the oblation of the holy parcel: It shall be for the whole house of Israel.

³⁵ It was eighteen thousand measures all around: And the name of the city from that day forward shall be, The LORD is there."The LORD is there; or in the Hebrew, Jehovahshammah

¹⁷ "So shall you know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain: Then Jerusalem shall be holy, and no strangers shall pass through her any more.

²⁰ In that day there shall be upon the bells of the horses, "HOLINESS TO THE LORD"; and the pots in the LORD's house shall be like the bowls before the altar.

¹ When Jesus had spoken these words, He went forth with His disciples over the Brook Kidron, where there was a garden, into which He and His disciples entered.
