⁴ Therefore I said, "Look away from me; I will weep bitterly, do not labor to comfort me, because of the spoiling of the daughter of my people.

²⁰ Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: Suddenly my tents are spoiled, and my curtains in a moment. ²¹ How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?

² Thus says the LORD; "Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is in it; the city, and those who dwell in it: Then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl.

⁵ For in the going up of Luhith continual weeping shall go up; for in the going down of Horonaim the enemies have heard a cry of destruction.

³⁴ From the cry of Heshbon even to Elealeh, and even to Jahaz, have they uttered their voice, from Zoar even to Horonaim, as a heifer of three years old: For the waters also of Nimrim shall be desolate.
