¹² Why does your heart carry you away? And what do your eyes wink at,

¹³ If you prepare your heart, and stretch out your hands toward him;

² Are there not mockers with me? And does not my eye continue in their provocation?

¹⁹ Do not let those that are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: Neither let them wink with the eye who hate me without a cause.

¹³ He winks with his eyes, he speaks with his feet, he teaches with his fingers;

⁹ Rejoice, O young man, in your youth; and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes: But know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.

²¹ For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, ²² thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

³ But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back part of the price of the land? ⁴ While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own power? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God."

²² Therefore repent of this, your wickedness, and beseech God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.

¹⁴ But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. ¹⁵ Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: And sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.
