¹ Then the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: ² Moreover both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. ³ And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, "They have no wine." ⁴ Jesus said to her, "Woman, what do I have to do with you? My hour has not yet come." ⁵ His mother said to the servants, "Whatever He says to you, do it." ⁶ Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the the manner of purifying of the Jews, containing one half or three-quarters of a barrel each.one half or three-quarters of a barrel: In KJV, two or three firkins; each of which was equivalent to 8 [UK] gallons. Hence all 6 waterpots totaled approximately 115 or 173 [US] gallons; 436 or 655 liters; or, 96 or 144 [UK] gallons. ⁷ Jesus said to them, "Fill the waterpots with water." And they filled them up to the brim. ⁸ And He said to them, "Now draw out some, and bring it to the governor of the feast." And they brought it. ⁹ When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know from what source it was: (But the servants who had drawn the water knew); the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, ¹⁰ and said to him, "Every man at the beginning sets out good wine; and when men have drunk well, then sets out that which is worse: But you have kept the good wine until now." ¹¹ This beginning of miracles Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth His glory; and His disciples believed on Him. ¹² After this He went down to Capernaum, He, His mother, His brothers, and His disciples: And they did not remain there many days. ¹³ Then the Jews' Passover was at hand; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem, ¹⁴ and found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting: ¹⁵ And when He had made a lash of small cords, He drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; ¹⁶ and He said to those who sold doves, "Take these things from this place; do not make My Father's house a house of merchandise." ¹⁷ And His disciples remembered that it was written, "The zeal for Your house has eaten Me up." ¹⁸ Then the Jews answered and said to Him, "What sign do You show to us, seeing that You do these things?" ¹⁹ Jesus answered and said to them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." ²⁰ Then the Jews said, "This temple was forty six years in building, and will You raise it up in three days?" ²¹ But He spoke of the temple of His body. ²² Therefore, when He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this to them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said. ²³ Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast day, many believed in His name when they saw the miracles which He did. ²⁴ But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men, ²⁵ and did not need from man that any should testify: For He knew what was in man.

²⁷ So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. ²⁸ And God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: And have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth."

¹⁸ And the LORD God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help-aid suitable for him." ¹⁹ And out of the ground the LORD God formed every wild beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them: And whatever Adam called every living creature, that was its name. ²⁰ And Adam gave names to all domestic beasts, and to the fowl of the air, and to every wild beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found a help-aid suitable for him. ²¹ And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: And he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place; ²² and out of the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, He made a woman, and brought her to the man. ²³ And Adam said, "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: She shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man." ²⁴ Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife: And they shall be one flesh. ²⁵ And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

²⁸ and Hebron, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah, even to great Zidon;

¹ A Song of degrees. Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways. ² For you shall eat the labor of your hands: Happy shall you be, and it shall be well with you. ³ Your wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of your house: Your children like olive plants all around your table. ⁴ Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the LORD.

²² Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of the LORD.

¹⁴ House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: And a prudent wife is from the LORD.

¹⁰ Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. ¹¹ The heart of her husband safely trusts in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. ¹² She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

⁴⁶ While He yet talked to the people, behold, His mother and His brothers stood outside, desiring to speak with Him.

²⁹ The next day John saw Jesus coming to him, and said, "Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world.

³⁵ Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples stood;

⁴³ The following day Jesus went forth into Galilee, and found Philip, and said to him, "Follow Me."

⁴⁶ So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.

² Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other of His disciples were together.

³⁰ For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones. ³¹ "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh." ³² This is a great mystery: But I speak concerning Christ and the church. ³³ Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she reverence her husband.

¹ Now the Spirit expressly speaks, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; ² speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; ³ forbidding to marry; and commanding to abstain from meats, which God has created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

⁴ Marriage is honorable in everyone, and the bed undefiled: But whore-mongers and adulterers God will judge.

⁴⁰ He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me. ⁴¹ He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. ⁴² And whoever shall give one of these little ones only a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you, He shall in no case lose his reward."

¹⁹ He shall not strive, nor cry out; neither shall any man hear His voice in the streets.

⁴⁰ And the King shall answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you have done it to one of the least of these My brethren, you have done it to Me.'

⁴⁵ Then He shall answer them, saying, 'Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.'

³⁴ The Son of Man has come eating and drinking; and you say, 'Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!' ³⁵ But wisdom is justified by all her children." ³⁶ Moreover one of the Pharisees desired that He would eat with him. And He went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to eat. ³⁷ And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat to eat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of fragrant ointment, ³⁸ and stood at His feet behind Him weeping, and began to wash His feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head; and kissed His feet, and anointed them with the fragrant ointment.

⁴⁰ One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. ⁴¹ He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, "We have found the Messiah", which is, being interpreted, the Christ. ⁴² And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, He said, "You are Simon the son of Jonah: You shall be called Cephas", which is by interpretation: A stone. ⁴³ The following day Jesus went forth into Galilee, and found Philip, and said to him, "Follow Me." ⁴⁴ Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. ⁴⁵ Philip found Nathanael, and said to him, "We have found Him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph." ⁴⁶ And Nathanael said to him, "Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see." ⁴⁷ Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and said of him, "Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!" ⁴⁸ Nathanael said to Him, "From where do You know me?" Jesus answered and said to him, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you." ⁴⁹ Nathanael answered and said to Him, "Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel."

³⁹ The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband lives; but if her husband is dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she wills; only in the Lord.

³¹ Therefore, whether you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

¹⁷ And whatever you all do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.you all: In KJV, ye; hence "you all" signifies a plural "you"

²⁰ Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: If any man hears My voice, and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.

¹⁵ and wine that makes glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face shine, and bread which strengthens man's heart.

¹⁹ A feast is made for laughter, and wine makes merry: But money answers all things.

¹¹ There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone.

²⁸ for this is My blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

³ Therefore his sisters sent to Him, saying, "Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick."

⁶ Do not be full of care for anything; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

⁹ who said to his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brothers, nor knew his own children: For they have observed your word, and kept your covenant.

¹⁰ And the king said, "What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah? So let him curse, because the LORD has said to him, "Curse David. Who shall then say, "Why have you done so?

²² And David said, "What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah, that you should this day be adversaries to me? Shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? For do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?

¹ To every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heaven:

²⁹ And behold, they cried out, saying, "What have we to do with You, Jesus, You Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?

²⁸ Then Jesus answered and said to her, "O woman, great is your faith: Be it to you even as you intend." And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

⁴⁹ He said to them, "Why is it that you sought Me? Were you not aware that I must be about My Father's business?"

⁶ Then Jesus said to them, "My time has not yet come: But your time is always ready.

³⁰ Then they sought to take Him: But no one laid hands on Him, because His hour had not yet come.

²⁰ These words Jesus spoke in the treasury, as He taught in the temple: And no man laid hands on Him; for His hour had not yet come.

²³ And Jesus answered them, saying, "The hour has come, that the Son of Man should be glorified.

¹ Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

²⁶ Therefore, when Jesus saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, "Woman, behold your son!" ²⁷ Then He said to the disciple, "Behold your mother!" And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.

¹³ And they said to her, "Woman, why do you weep?" She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him."

¹⁵ Jesus said to her, "Woman, why do you weep? Whom do you seek?" She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, "Sir, if You have carried Him from this place, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away."

¹⁶ Therefore from now on, we regard no man according to the flesh: Yes, though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet from now on we know Him no longer.

⁵ To whom we did not yield by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you. ⁶ But from those who seemed to be something (whatever they were, it does not matter to me: God accepts no man's person): For those who seemed to be something while in conference added nothing to me:

²² Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did.

¹⁴ She may not eat of anything that comes of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing: All that I commanded her let her observe.

⁵ And Simon answering said to Him, "Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: Nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net." ⁶ And when they had done this, they inclosed a great multitude of fish: And their net broke.

⁴⁶ Moreover why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord', and not do the things which I say? ⁴⁷ Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings, and does them, I will show you whom he is like: ⁴⁸ He is like a man who built a house, who dug deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: For it was founded upon a rock. ⁴⁹ But he who hears, and does not do, is like a man that built a house upon the earth without a foundation; against which the stream beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great."

¹⁴ You are My friends, if you do whatever I command you.

⁶ And he trembling and astonished said, "Lord, what would You have me to do?" And the Lord said to him, "Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told to you what you must do."

⁹ and being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation to all those that obey Him;

⁸ By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out into a place which he should afterwards receive as an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going.

² And when they saw some of His disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashed hands, they found fault. ³ For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they wash their hands often, holding the tradition of the elders. ⁴ And when they come from the market, they do not eat unless they wash. And there are many other things which they have received to keep, like the washing of cups, pots, brazen vessels, and of tables. ⁵ Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, "Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?"

²⁵ Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying.

²⁶ that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

² of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

¹⁰ which stood only in foods and drinks, diverse washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

¹⁹ For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,

²² let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

⁶ And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. ⁷ Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, "We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against you; pray to the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. ⁸ And the LORD said to Moses, "Make you a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole: And it shall come to pass, that everyone that is bitten, when he looks on it, shall live. ⁹ And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it on a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

³ And you all shall compass the city, all you men of war, and go all around the city once. Thus you shall do six days. ⁴ And seven priests shall carry before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: And the seventh day you all shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. ⁵ And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when you all hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up, every man, straight before him."

¹³ And Elijah said to her, "Fear not; go and do as you have said: But make me of it a little cake first, and bring it to me, and after make for you and for your son.

² And Elisha said to her, "What shall I do for you? Tell me, what have you in the house? And she said, "Your handmaid has not anything in the house, save a pot of oil. ³ Then he said, "Go, borrow you vessels abroad of all your neighbors, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. ⁴ And when you have come in, you shall shut the door on you and on your sons, and shall pour out into all those vessels, and you shall set aside that which is full. ⁵ So she went from him, and shut the door on her and on her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. ⁶ And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said to her, "There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.

¹⁰ And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, "Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall come again to you, and you shall be clean. ¹¹ But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, "Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper. ¹² Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? May I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage. ¹³ And his servants came near, and spoke to him, and said, "My father, if the prophet had bid you do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much rather then, when he said to you, Wash, and be clean? ¹⁴ Then he went down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: And his flesh came again like to the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

² and said to them, "Go your way into the village before you: And as soon as you all have entered into it, you all shall find a colt tied, upon which no man ever sat; loose him, and bring him. ³ And if anyone says to you, 'Why are you doing this?' say that, 'The Lord has need of him'; and immediately he will send him here." ⁴ And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door outside in a place where two roads met; and they loosed him. ⁵ Then some of them that stood there said to them, "What are you doing, loosing the colt?" ⁶ And they said to them according to how Jesus had commanded: And they let them go.

¹² Then on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they killed the Passover, His disciples said to Him, "Where would you like that we go and prepare, that You may eat the Passover?" ¹³ And He sent forth two of His disciples, and said to them, "Go into the city, and a man shall meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him. ¹⁴ And wherever he goes in, say to the goodman of the house, 'The Master says, "Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the Passover with My disciples?" ' ¹⁵ Then he will show you a large upper room, furnished and prepared: There make ready for us." ¹⁶ Then His disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found it just as He had said to them: And they made ready the Passover. ¹⁷ In the evening He came with the twelve.

³ And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, "They have no wine."

⁵ His mother said to the servants, "Whatever He says to you, do it."

²⁶ Moreover the angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, "Arise, and go toward the south on the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza, which is desert." ²⁷ And he arose and went: And behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, ²⁸ was returning; and sitting in his chariot read Isaiah the prophet. ²⁹ Then the Spirit said to Philip, "Go near, and join yourself to this chariot." ³⁰ And Philip ran over to him, and heard him read the prophet Isaiah, and said, "Do you understand what you read?" ³¹ And he said, "How can I, unless some man should guide me?" And he desired that Philip would come up and sit with him. ³² The portion of the scripture which he read was this, "He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb mute before his shearer, so He did not open His mouth: ³³ In His humiliation His judgment was taken away: And who shall declare His generation? For His life is taken from the earth." ³⁴ And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, "I beseech you, of whom does the prophet speak this? Of himself, or of some other man?" ³⁵ Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, preached Jesus to him. ³⁶ Moreover as they went on their way, they came to a certain body of water: And the eunuch said, "See, here is water; what does hinder me to be baptized?" ³⁷ And Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God." ³⁸ And he commanded the chariot to stand still: And they both went down into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. ³⁹ Moreover when they had come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch did not see him any more: And he went on his way rejoicing. ⁴⁰ But Philip was found at Azotus: And passing through he preached in all the cities, until he came to Caesarea.

⁵ Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding. ⁶ In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

⁶ Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, have now perished; neither do they have a portion anymore in anything that is done under the sun forever.

⁷ Render therefore to all their dues: Tribute to whom tribute is due; customs to whom customs; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor.

¹⁷ If any man will do His will, he shall know about the doctrine, whether it is of God, or whether I speak of Myself.

³⁴ And he took and sent dishes to them from before him: But Benjamin's dish was five times as much as any of theirs. And they drank, and were merry with him.

¹ Wisdom has built her house, she has hewn out her seven pillars: ² She has killed her beasts; she has mingled her wine; she has also furnished her table. ³ She has sent forth her maidens: She cries upon the highest places of the city, ⁴ "Whoever is simple, let him turn in here": As for him that wants understanding, she says to him, ⁵ "Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled. ⁶ Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.

¹⁶ "Whoever is simple, let him turn in here": And as for him that wants understanding, she says to him, ¹⁷ "Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant." ¹⁸ But he does not know that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.

¹ I have come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: Eat, O friends; drink, yes, drink abundantly, O beloved.

²⁵ But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted, and you are tormented.

¹⁶ They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. ¹⁷ For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them to living fountains of waters: And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes."

⁹ And it shall come to pass, if they also will not believe these two signs, neither hearken to your voice, that you shall take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: And the water which you take out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land."

¹⁹ And the LORD spoke to Moses, "Say to Aaron, 'Take your rod, and stretch out your hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.' " ²⁰ And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood. ²¹ And the fish that were in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.

²⁴ and you said, "Behold, the LORD our God has showed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the middle of the fire: We have seen this day that God does talk with man, and he lives.

¹⁹ And blessed be His glorious name forever: And let the whole earth be filled with His glory; Amen, and Amen.

³ Declare His glory among the heathen, His wonders among all people.

⁷ Go your way, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart; God accepts your works for now.

⁵ And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: For the mouth of the LORD has spoken it."

² If you all will not hear, and if you all will not lay it to heart, to give glory to My name", says the LORD of hosts, "I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: Yes, I have cursed them already, because you all do not lay it to heart.

¹⁴ And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth.

¹⁷ For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

⁵⁰ Jesus answered and said to him, "Because I said to you, 'I saw you under the fig tree', do you believe? You shall see greater things than these."

² The same came to Jesus by night, and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God: For no man can do these miracles that You do, unless God is with him."

²³ That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that does not honor the Son does not honor the Father which sent Him.

² Then a large multitude followed Him, because they saw His miracles which He did on those who were diseased.

¹⁴ Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, "This is truly that Prophet that should come into the world."

²⁶ Jesus answered them, and said, "Truly, truly, I say to you, You do not seek Me because you saw the miracles, but because you ate of the loaves, and were filled.

³⁰ Therefore they said to Him, "What sign will You show then, that we may see, and believe You? What work will You do?

¹⁵ And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, so that you may believe; nevertheless let us go to him."

³⁷ But though He had done so many miracles before them, yet they did not believe upon Him:

⁴¹ These things Isaiah said when he saw His glory, and spoke of Him.

⁹ Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long a time, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He that has seen Me has seen the Father; therefore how come you say, 'Show us the Father'? ¹⁰ Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak from Myself: But the Father that dwells in Me, He does the works. ¹¹ Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me: Or else believe Me for the sake of the very works themselves.

¹³ And whatever you shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

³⁰ And Jesus truly did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book: ³¹ But these are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you might have life through His name.

¹⁸ But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

⁶ For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

¹⁷ For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

¹⁰ For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: For it is written, "Cursed is everyone that does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them." ¹¹ But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident: For, "The just shall live by faith." ¹² And the law is not of faith: But, "The man who does them shall live in them." ¹³ Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: For it is written, "Cursed is everyone that hangs on a tree":

¹³ These things I have written to you who believe upon the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe upon the name of the Son of God.

¹³ and leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, inside the borders of Zebulun and Naphtali:

²³ And you, Capernaum, which are exalted to heaven, shall be brought down to hell: For if the mighty works which have been done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.

⁵⁵ Is this not the carpenter's son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? ⁵⁶ And His sisters, are they not all with us? How then does this Man have all these things?"

³ Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, the brother of James, Joses, Juda, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?" And they were offended at Him.

¹⁷ And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus had not come to them.

³ His brothers therefore said to Him, "Depart from this place, and go into Judea, that Your disciples may also see the works that You do. ⁴ For there is no man who does anything in secret, and while he himself seeks to be known openly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world." ⁵ For His brothers did not believe in Him.

¹³ And when they had come in, they ascended into an upper room where Peter, James, John, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James abode. ¹⁴ These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brethren.

⁵ Do we not have power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?

¹⁹ But I saw none of the other apostles, except James the Lord's brother.

⁶ And you shall care for it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: And the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. ⁷ And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, in which they shall eat it. ⁸ And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and they shall eat it with bitter herbs. ⁹ Do not eat of it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with its entrails. ¹⁰ And you shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remains of it until the morning you shall burn with fire. ¹¹ And in this manner you shall eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste: It is the LORD's Passover. ¹² For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and I will execute judgment against all the gods of Egypt: I am the LORD. ¹³ And the blood shall be for a token sign to you upon the houses where you are: And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. ¹⁴ And this day shall be for a memorial to you; and you shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; you shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.

¹⁶ And on the fourteenth day of the first month is the Passover of the LORD. ¹⁷ And on the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: Seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten. ¹⁸ In the first day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no manner of servile work in it: ¹⁹ But you shall offer a sacrifice made by fire for a burnt offering to the LORD; two young bulls, and one ram, and seven lambs of the first year: They shall be to you without blemish: ²⁰ And their food offering shall be of flour mingled with oil: Three tenth deals shall you offer for a bull, and two tenth deals for a ram; ²¹ A several tenth deal shall you offer for every lamb, throughout the seven lambs: ²² And one goat for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you. ²³ You shall offer these beside the burnt offering in the morning, which is for a continual burnt offering. ²⁴ After this manner you shall offer daily, throughout the seven days, the meat of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet smell to the LORD: It shall be offered beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering. ²⁵ And on the seventh day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no servile work.

¹ Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover to the LORD your God: For in the month of Abib the LORD your God brought you forth out of Egypt by night. ² You shall therefore sacrifice the Passover to the LORD your God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there. ³ You shall eat no leavened bread with it; seven days you shall eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for you came forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: That you may remember the day when you came forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life. ⁴ And there shall be no leavened bread seen with you in all your coast seven days; neither shall there anything of the flesh, which you sacrificed the first day at sunset, remain all night until the morning. ⁵ You may not sacrifice the Passover within any of your gates, which the LORD your God gives you: ⁶ But at the place which the LORD your God shall choose to place his name in, there you shall sacrifice the Passover at sunset, at the going down of the sun, at the season that you came forth out of Egypt. ⁷ And you shall roast and eat it in the place which the LORD your God shall choose: And you shall turn in the morning, and go to your tents. ⁸ Six days you shall eat unleavened bread: And on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to the LORD your God: You shall do no work in it.

¹⁶ Three times in a year shall all your males appear before the LORD your God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: And they shall not appear before the LORD empty:

⁴¹ Now His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover.

¹ After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

⁴ Now the Passover, a feast of the Jews, was near.

⁵⁵ And the Jews' Passover was near at hand: And many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the Passover, to purify themselves.

²³ And you shall eat before the LORD your God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of your grain, of your wine, and of your oil, and the firstborn of your herds and of your flocks; that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always. ²⁴ And if the way be too long for you, so that you are not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from you, which the LORD your God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD your God has blessed you: ²⁵ Then you shall turn it into money, and bind up the money in your hand, and shall go to the place which the LORD your God shall choose: ²⁶ And you shall bestow that money for whatever your soul lusts after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatever your soul desires: And you shall eat there before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice, you, and your household,

¹ "Behold, I will send My messenger, and he shall prepare the way before Me: And the Lord, Whom all of you seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, Whom you all delight in: Behold, He shall come", says the LORD of hosts. ² "But who may abide the day of His coming? And who shall stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap: ³ And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: And He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to the LORD an offering in righteousness.

¹² And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all those who sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of those who sold doves, ¹³ and said to them, "It is written, 'My house shall be called the house of prayer'; But you have made it a 'den of thieves.' "

¹⁵ Then they came to Jerusalem: And Jesus went into the temple, and began to drive out those who sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of those who sold doves;

¹⁷ Then He taught, saying to them, "Is it not written, 'My house shall be called the house of prayer of all nations'? But you have made it a 'den of thieves.' "

⁴⁵ Then He went into the temple, and began to drive out those who sold in it, and those who bought; ⁴⁶ saying to them, "It is written, 'My house is the house of prayer': But you have made it a 'den of thieves.' "

⁶ Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel, saying, 'Not by might, nor by power, but by My spirit', says the LORD of hosts.

⁶ Then, as soon as He said to them, "I am He", they went backward, and fell to the ground.

⁴ (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds);

⁵ even to them I will give in My house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. ⁶ Also the sons of the stranger, who join themselves to the LORD, to serve Him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be His servants, everyone who keeps the Sabbath from polluting it, and takes hold of My covenant; ⁷ even those I will bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer: Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted on my altar; for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all people." ⁸ The Lord GOD, who gathers the outcasts of Israel said, "Yet will I gather others to him, besides those who are gathered to him." ⁹ All you wild beasts of the field, come to devour, yes, all you beasts in the forest. ¹⁰ His watchmen are blind: They are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. ¹¹ Yes, they are greedy dogs who can never have enough, and they are shepherds who cannot understand: They all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

¹¹ Has this house, which is called by My name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it", said the LORD.

⁷ He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: He loves to oppress. ⁸ And Ephraim said, 'Yet I have become rich, I have found my substance: In all my labors they shall find no iniquity in me that was sin.'

¹³ and said to them, "It is written, 'My house shall be called the house of prayer'; But you have made it a 'den of thieves.' "

¹⁷ But Jesus answered them, "My Father works yet, and I work."

⁴⁹ Jesus answered, "I do not have a devil; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me.

²⁹ My Father, which gave them to Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father's hand.

¹⁷ Jesus said to her, "Do not touch Me; for I am not yet ascended to My Father: But go to My brethren, and say to them, 'I ascend to My Father, and your Father; and to My God, and your God.' "

²⁴ For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, who made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small profit to the craftsmen; ²⁵ whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, "Sirs, you know that by this craft we have our wealth. ²⁶ Moreover, you see and hear that not only at Ephesus, but throughout almost all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that they are not gods, which are made with hands: ²⁷ So that not only is our craft in danger of being disregarded as nothing; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worship."

⁵ perverse disputing by men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: From such withdraw yourself.

³ And through covetousness they shall make merchandise of you with feigned words: Whose judgment will now not linger for a long time, and their damnation does not slumber.

¹⁴ having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: They have a heart exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: ¹⁵ Who have forsaken the right way, and have gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

⁹ For the zeal of Your house has eaten me up; and the reproaches of those that reproached You have fallen upon me.

¹³⁹ My zeal has consumed me, because my enemies have forgotten Your words.

³⁸ Then certain ones of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, "Master, we desire to see a sign from You." ³⁹ But He answered and said to them, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and there shall be no sign given to it, except the sign of the prophet Jonah: ⁴⁰ For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. ⁴¹ The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and will condemn it: Because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, one greater than Jonah is here. ⁴² The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: For she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, one greater than Solomon is here.

¹ The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting Him they asked that He would show them a sign from heaven. ² He answered and said to them, "When it is evening, you say, 'It will be fair weather: For the sky is red.' ³ And in the morning, 'It will be foul weather today: For the sky is red and dark.' O you hypocrites, you can discern the face of the sky; but can you not discern the signs of the times? ⁴ A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and there shall be no sign given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah." And He left them, and departed.

²³ And when He came into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to Him as He was teaching, and said, "By what authority do you do these things? And who gave You this authority?"

¹¹ And the Pharisees came forth, and began questioning with Him, seeking a sign from heaven of Him, tempting Him.

²⁷ Then they came again to Jerusalem: And as He was walking in the temple, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders came to Him, ²⁸ And they said to Him, "By what authority do you do these things? And who gave You this authority to do these things?" ²⁹ And when the people were gathered thickly together, He began to say, "This is an evil generation: They seek a sign; and no sign shall be given it, except the sign of Jonah the prophet.

¹ And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as He taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon Him with the elders, ² and spoke to Him, saying, "Tell us, by what authority do You do these things? Or whom is he that gave You this authority?"

²⁵ And they asked him, and said to him, "Why then do you baptize, if you are not that Christ, nor Elijah, neither that prophet?"

⁷ And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, "By what power, or by what name, have you done this?"

²⁸ saying, "Did we not strictly command you that you should not teach in this name? And behold, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this Man's blood upon us."

⁴⁰ For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

⁶⁰ but found none: Yes, though many false witnesses came, yet they found none. Finally two false witnesses came, ⁶¹ and said, "This fellow said, 'I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in three days.' "

⁴⁰ and saying, "You that destroy the temple, and build it in three days, save Yourself. If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross."

⁶³ saying, "Sir, we remember that while He was still alive, that deceiver said, 'After three days I will rise again.'

³¹ And He began to teach them, that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and by the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

⁵⁸ "We heard Him say, 'I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.' "

²⁹ And those who passed by railed at Him, wagging their heads, and saying, "Ah, You that destroy the temple, and rebuild it in three days,

¹⁹ Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, The Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do: For whatever things He does, the Son also does these likewise.

¹⁷ Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life, that I might take it again. ¹⁸ No man takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment I have received from My Father."

²⁵ Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection, and the life: He that believes in Me, though he were dead, he shall yet live:

²⁴ Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death: Because it was not possible that He should be held by it.

³² This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.

¹⁵ and killed the Prince of life, whom God has raised from the dead; of which we are witnesses.

²⁶ First to you, God has raised up His Son Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning every one of you away from his iniquities."

²⁴ but for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, to us, if we believe upon Him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

⁴ Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: That just as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

¹¹ But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also vivify your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you.

³ For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received, how Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; ⁴ and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

¹² Now if Christ is preached that He rose from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?

¹² Buried with Him in baptism, in which you also are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who has raised Him from the dead.

¹⁸ For Christ also has suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit:

¹⁶ Do you all not know that you all are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?you all (2X): In KJV, ye (2X); hence both instances of "you all" are plural

¹⁹ What? Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God, and you are not your own?

¹⁶ And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God; as God has said: "I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."

²⁰ and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone; ²¹ in whom all the building, being fitly framed together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord: ²² In whom you also are built together as a habitation of God through the Spirit.

¹⁹ For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell;

⁹ For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

² a Minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

⁴ Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God, and precious; ⁵ you also, as lively stones, are built up as a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

¹⁰ For You will not leave my soul in hell; neither will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.

⁷ saying, 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.' " ⁸ And they remembered His words.

⁴⁴ And He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke to you, while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the Law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the Psalms, concerning Me."

¹¹ This beginning of miracles Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth His glory; and His disciples believed on Him.

¹⁷ And His disciples remembered that it was written, "The zeal for Your house has eaten Me up."

¹⁶ His disciples did not understand these things at first: But when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about Him, and that they had done these things to Him.

²⁶ But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.

⁴ But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them. And these things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.

⁸ Then that other disciple went in also, who came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. ⁹ For as yet they did not know the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead.

¹⁶ Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, 'John indeed baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.'

²⁰ But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that hears the word, and immediately receives it with joy; ²¹ yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while: Then when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he is offended.

¹⁶ And likewise, these are they which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; ¹⁷ but have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time: Afterward, when affliction or persecution arises for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

¹³ Those upon the rock are they which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

¹³ Then the Jews' Passover was at hand; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,

³¹ And many of the people believed on Him, and said, "When Christ comes, will He do more miracles than these which this Man has done?"

³⁰ As He spoke these words, many believed on Him. ³¹ Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed on Him, "If you continue in My word, then you are My disciples indeed;

⁴² Nevertheless, even among the chief rulers many believed on Him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: ⁴³ For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

⁶ For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision avails anything, nor uncircumcision; but rather faith which works by love.

¹⁶ that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man; ¹⁷ that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

¹⁹ You believe that there is one God; you do well: The devils also believe, and tremble. ²⁰ But are you willing to know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

⁷ But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look on his countenance, nor on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart."

⁹ And you, Solomon my son, know you the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: For the LORD searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: If you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

¹⁷ I know also, my God, that You prove the heart through testing, and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things: And now I have seen with joy Your people, which are present here, to offer willingly to You.

⁹ The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: Who can know it?

⁴ But Jesus knowing their thoughts said, "Why do you think evil in your hearts?

¹⁶ Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. ¹⁷ But beware of men: For they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;

⁸ But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned like this within themselves, He said to them, "Why do you reason these things in your hearts?

⁴² And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, He said, "You are Simon the son of Jonah: You shall be called Cephas", which is by interpretation: A stone.

⁴⁶ And Nathanael said to him, "Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see." ⁴⁷ Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and said of him, "Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!"

⁴² But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you.

¹⁵ When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take Him by force, to make Him a king, He departed again into a mountain by Himself alone.

⁶⁴ But there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that did not believe, and who would betray Him.

⁶¹ When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples murmured at it, He said to them, "Does this offend you?
