¹ Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: ² Mercy to you, and peace, and love, be multiplied. ³ Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write to you about the common salvation, it was necessary for me to write to you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints. ⁴ For there are certain men that crept in unexpectedly, who evidently were ordained to this condemnation a long while ago, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁵ Therefore I will put you in remembrance, though you once knew this, how the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those that did not believe. ⁶ And the angels which did not keep their first estate, but left their own habitation, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day. ⁷ Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities all around them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. ⁸ Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise government, and speak evil of dignitaries. ⁹ Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring a railing accusation against him, but said, "The Lord rebuke you." ¹⁰ But these speak evil of those things which they do not know: But what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. ¹¹ Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the contrariety of Korah. ¹² These are spots in your feasts of love, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: They are clouds without water, carried about by winds; trees whose fruit withers, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; ¹³ raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever. ¹⁴ And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these people, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, ¹⁵ to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed with ungodly living, and of all their fierce speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him." ¹⁶ These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaks great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage. ¹⁷ But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; ¹⁸ how they told you there would be mockers in the last time, who would walk after their own ungodly lusts. ¹⁹ These are those who separate themselves, sensual, not having the Spirit. ²⁰ But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, ²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. ²² And on some have compassion, making a difference: ²³ And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. ²⁴ Now to Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, ²⁵ To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.

³ Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;

¹⁸ and Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, and Simon the Cananite,

¹⁶ And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, who also was the traitor.

³⁹ And this is the Father's will which has sent Me, that of all which He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

²⁸ And I give them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. ²⁹ My Father, which gave them to Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father's hand. ³⁰ I and My Father are one."

²⁶ If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant shall also be: If anyone serves Me, My Father will honor him.

²² Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?"

¹⁶ You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bear forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: That whatever you shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it to you.

¹¹ And now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your own name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one, as We are. ¹² While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name: Those whom You gave Me I have kept, and none of them is lost, except the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

¹⁵ I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil.

¹⁷ Sanctify them through Your truth: Your word is truth.

¹⁹ And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they might also be sanctified through the truth.

¹³ And when they had come in, they ascended into an upper room where Peter, James, John, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James abode.

³² "And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

²³ For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,

¹ Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God,

²² But now being made free from sin, and having become servants to God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end everlasting life.

³⁰ Moreover, whom He predestined, these He also called: Whom He called, these He also justified: And whom He justified, these He also glorified.

²⁴ even us, whom He has called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

¹⁸ For those that are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

² To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

¹¹ And such were some of you: But you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

²⁶ that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

¹² that you would walk worthy of God, who has called you into His kingdom and glory.

²³ And the true God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray to God your whole spirit, soul, and body are preserved blameless to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹³ But we are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brethren, beloved of the Lord, because God has chosen you for salvation from the beginning through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: ¹⁴ Therefore He called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁹ Who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

¹⁸ And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me for His heavenly kingdom: To whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

¹ Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

¹ James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings. ² elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, to obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you, and peace, be multiplied.

⁵ who are kept by the power of God through faith to salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time.

⁹ But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light:

¹⁰ But the God of all grace, who has called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

² Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

⁹ So shall you put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when you shall do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.

²⁵ And I contended with them, and cursed them, and smote certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, "You shall not give your daughters to their sons, nor take their daughters to your sons, or for yourselves.

¹⁷ But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: You shall not be ashamed nor confounded for all eternity.

²² Look to Me, and you will be saved, all the ends of the earth: For I am God, and there is none other.

³ "And like their bow they bend their tongues for lies: But they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they do not know me", said the LORD.

¹² Neither is there salvation in any other: For there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved."

⁸ And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people. ⁹ Then there arose certain ones from the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and by those from Cilicia and from Asia, disputing with Stephen. ¹⁰ And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.

²² But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt in Damascus, proving that this is truly Christ.

⁴⁶ Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, "It was necessary that the Word of God should first have been spoken to you: But seeing you put it away from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles. ⁴⁷ For so has the Lord commanded us, saying, 'I have set you to be a light to the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.' "

³ revealing and alleging that it was necessary for Christ to have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that, "This Jesus, whom I preach to you, is Christ."

⁴ And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks. ⁵ And when Silas and Timothy had come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ. ⁶ But when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his clothes, and said to them, "Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: From now on I will go to the Gentiles."

²⁸ For he mightily convinced the Jews, and publicly at that, showing by the scriptures that Jesus was the Christ.

²⁷ For I have not shunned to declare to you all the counsel of God.

²⁸ "Therefore let it be known to you, that the salvation of God is sent to the Gentiles, and that they will hear it."

¹⁵ Nevertheless, brethren, I have written more boldly to you in some respects, as a reminder to you, because of the grace that is given to me by God, ¹⁶ that I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

³ For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received, how Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

⁵ To whom we did not yield by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.

²⁸ There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond-servant nor free, there is neither male nor female: For you are all one in Christ Jesus.

¹¹ You see what a large letter I have written to you with my own hand.

²⁷ Only let your conversation be in accord with the gospel of Christ: That whether I come and see you, or else am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

² To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are at Colosse: Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

² But even after we had suffered beforehand, and were shamefully treated at Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God with much contention.

¹⁸ This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously spoken over you, that by them you might wage a good warfare;

¹² Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you are also called, and have professed a good profession before many witnesses.

⁷ I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: ⁸ Furthermore, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me in that day: And not to me only, but also to all those that love His appearing.

²² And I beseech you, brethren, bear with the word of exhortation: For I have written a letter to you in few words.

¹² By Silvanus, a faithful brother to you, as I suppose, I have written to you briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God in which you stand.

¹² Therefore I will not be negligent to always put you in remembrance of these things, though you know them, and are established in the present truth. ¹³ Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance; ¹⁴ knowing that shortly I must put off my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ has shown me. ¹⁵ Moreover, I will endeavor that after my decease you may be able to have these things always in remembrance.

¹ Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle; in both of which I stir up your pure minds by means of remembrance: ² That you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment from us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior:

¹⁷ But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

²⁰ But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

¹⁰ Fear none of those things which you shall suffer: Behold, the devil shall throw some of you into prison, that you may be proven; and you shall have tribulation ten days: Be faithful to death, and I will give you a crown of life.

¹¹ And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they did not love their lives to the death.

⁵ When the waves of death compassed around me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid;

¹ Blessed is the man that does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful.ungodly; or, wicked

² He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.

²⁵ But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

³ And this is life eternal, that they might know You the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.

²³ Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave to the Lord.

²⁴ Since we have heard that certain people which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, "You must be circumcised, and keep the law": To whom we gave no such commandment:

¹ What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? ² God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer in it?

²¹ Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor, and another for dishonor? ²² What if God, willing to show His wrath, and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

⁴ And that was because of false brethren secretly brought in, who came in privately to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

¹³ For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

¹⁴ That from this time forward we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the artful tricks of men, and cunning craftiness, by which they lie in wait to deceive;

¹⁵ Which in His times He shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; ¹⁶ who only has immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach; whom no man has seen, nor can see: To whom be honor and power everlasting. Amen.

⁶ For of this sort are those that creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with diverse lusts,

¹⁵ To the pure all things are pure: But to those that are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. ¹⁶ They profess that they know God; but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and reprobate to every good work.

¹¹ For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, ¹² teaching us that through denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

¹⁵ Looking diligently lest any man be destitute of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and by this many are defiled; ¹⁶ lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright.

⁸ and "A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense", even to those which stumble at the word, being disobedient: For that also they were appointed.

¹⁶ As free, yet not using your liberty as a cloak of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

¹⁸ And "if the righteous are scarcely saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?"

¹ But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privately shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. ² And many shall follow their pernicious ways; because of by whom the way of truth shall be spoken evil of. ³ And through covetousness they shall make merchandise of you with feigned words: Whose judgment will now not linger for a long time, and their damnation does not slumber.

⁵ and did not spare the old world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; ⁶ and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example to those that afterward would live ungodly;

¹⁰ But especially those that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. They are presumptuous, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries.

¹⁸ For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that had truly escaped from those who live in error. ¹⁹ While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: For by whom a man is overcome, by the same he is brought into bondage. ²⁰ For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them, and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. ²¹ For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than after having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. ²² But it has happened to them according to the true proverb, "The dog returned to his own vomit again"; and, "the hog that was washed to her wallowing in the mire."

⁷ But the heavens and the earth, which are now kept in store by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

²² Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denies the Father and the Son.

¹⁵ to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed with ungodly living, and of all their fierce speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."

⁴ Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For only You are holy: For all nations shall come and worship before You; for Your judgments are made manifest."

²² Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not listened to my voice; ²³ surely they shall not see the land which I swore to their fathers, neither shall any of those that provoked me see it: ²⁴ But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and has followed me fully, him will I bring into the land into where he went; and his seed shall possess it. ²⁵ (Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwelled in the valley). Tomorrow turn yourself, and get you into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea. ²⁶ And the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, ²⁷ how long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me. ²⁸ Say to them, As truly as I live", says the LORD, as you have spoken in my ears, so will I do to you: ²⁹ Your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward which have murmured against me. ³⁰ Doubtless you shall not come into the land, concerning which I swore to make you dwell in it, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. ³¹ But your little ones, which you said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which you have despised. ³² But as for you, your carcasses, they shall fall in this wilderness. ³³ And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcasses be wasted in the wilderness. ³⁴ After the number of the days in which you searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall you bear your iniquities, even forty years, and you shall know my breach of promise. ³⁵ I the LORD have said, "I will surely do it to all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: In this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die. ³⁶ And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land, ³⁷ even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the LORD.

⁶⁴ But among these there was not a man of them whom Moses and Aaron the priest numbered, when they numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai. ⁶⁵ For the LORD had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

¹⁵ For indeed the hand of the LORD was against them, to destroy them from among the host, until they were consumed. ¹⁶ So it came to pass, when all the men of war were consumed and dead from among the people,

²⁶ Therefore He lifted up His hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness:

¹⁵ Nevertheless, brethren, I have written more boldly to you in some respects, as a reminder to you, because of the grace that is given to me by God,

¹ Moreover, brethren, I would not have that you should be ignorant, how all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea; ² and all were baptized to Moses in the cloud and in the sea; ³ and all ate the same spiritual food; ⁴ and all drank the same spiritual drink: For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: And that Rock was Christ. ⁵ But with many of them God was not well pleased: For they were overthrown in the wilderness. ⁶ Now these things were our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. ⁷ Neither be idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, "The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play." ⁸ Nor let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell. ⁹ Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents. ¹⁰ Nor murmur, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed by the destroyer. ¹¹ Now all these things happened to them as examples: And they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world has come. ¹² Therefore let him that thinks he stands take heed, lest he fall.

¹⁶ For some, when they had heard, did provoke: Nevertheless, not all who came out of Egypt by Moses provoked.

²⁹ And behold, they cried out, saying, "What have we to do with You, Jesus, You Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?

⁴¹ Then He shall say also to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

⁴⁴ You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and did not abide in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: For he is a liar, and the father of it.

¹² For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

²⁷ but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

⁴ For if God did not spare the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;

⁹ the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust for the day of judgment to be punished:

¹⁰ And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.

¹³ But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD, exceedingly so.

²⁰ And the LORD said, "Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

⁵ And they called to Lot, and said to him, "Where are the men which came in to you this night? Bring them out to us, that we may know them."

²⁴ Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; ²⁵ and he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. ²⁶ But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

²³ and that the whole land of it is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor bears, nor any grass grows in it, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:

⁹ Except the LORD of hosts had left to us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like Gomorrah.

¹⁹ And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldeans' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

¹⁴ The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness has surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

¹⁶ And let that man be as the cities which the LORD overthrew, and did not repent: And let him hear the cry in the morning, and the shouting at noon;

⁴⁰ As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and its neighbor cities", said the LORD; "so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell in it.

⁶ For the punishment of the iniquity of the daughter of my people is greater than the punishment of the sin of Sodom, that was overthrown in a moment, and no hands stayed on her.

⁴⁹ Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom, pride, fullness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. ⁵⁰ And they were haughty, and committed abomination before Me: Therefore I took them away as I saw good.

⁸ How shall I give you up, Ephraim? How shall I deliver you, Israel? How shall I make you as Admah? How shall I set you as Zeboim? My heart is turned within Me, My repentings are kindled together.

¹¹ "I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: Yet you have not returned to Me", says the LORD.

²⁴ But I say to you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for you."

⁴³ And if your hand causes you to offend, cut it off: It is better for you to enter into life maimed, than to go into hell having two hands, into the fire that shall never be quenched: ⁴⁴ Where 'Their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.' ⁴⁵ And if your foot causes you to offend, cut it off: It is better for you to enter into life crippled, than to be cast into hell having two feet, into the fire that shall never be quenched: ⁴⁶ Where 'Their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.' ⁴⁷ And if your eye causes you to offend, pluck it out: It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, than to be cast into hell fire having two eyes: ⁴⁸ Where 'Their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.' ⁴⁹ For everyone shall be seasoned with fire, and every sacrifice shall be seasoned with salt.

²⁹ but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

²⁶ For this reason God gave them over to vile affections: For even their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature: ²⁷ And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men performing what is indecent, and receiving in themselves the recompense of their error which was appropriate.

⁹ Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

⁶ and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example to those that afterward would live ungodly;

⁵ For God knows that in the day you eat of it, then your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."

²⁸ You shall not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of your people.gods; or, judges

³ And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said to them, "You take too much on you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: Why then lift you up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?

¹² And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: Which said, "We will not come up: ¹³ Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land that flows with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except you make yourself altogether a prince over us?

¹ Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? ² The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against His anointed, saying, ³ "Let us break their bands apart, and cast away their cords from us." ⁴ He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: The LORD shall have them in derision. ⁵ Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and vex them in His sore displeasure. ⁶ "Yet I have set My king upon My holy hill of Zion."

³ The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaks proud things: ⁴ Who have said, "With our tongue we will prevail; our lips are our own: Who is lord over us?"our own: In Hebrew, with us

¹¹ There is a generation that curses their father, and does not bless their mother.

¹⁷ The eye that mocks at his father, and despises to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.

²⁰ Do not curse the king, no, not in your thought; and do not curse the rich in your bedchamber: For a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which has wings shall tell the matter.

²⁵ But if the princes hear that I have talked with you, and they come to you, and say to you, 'Declare to us now what you have said to the king, do not hide it from us, and we will not put you to death; also what the king said to you': ²⁶ Then you shall say to them, 'I presented my supplication before the king, that he would not cause me to return to Jonathan's house, to die there.' " ²⁷ Then all the princes came to Jeremiah, and asked him: And he told them according to all these words that the king had commanded. So they left off speaking with him; for the matter was not perceived. ²⁸ So Jeremiah stayed in the court of the prison until the day that Jerusalem was taken: And he was there when Jerusalem was taken.

¹⁴ But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, 'We will not have this man to reign over us.'

²⁷ But he who did his neighbor wrong thust him away, saying, 'Who made you a ruler and a judge over us?

³⁹ Whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust Him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,

⁵ Then Paul said, "I was not aware, brethren, that he was the high priest: For it is written, 'You shall not speak evil of the ruler of your people.' "

¹⁷ If any man defiles the temple of God, God shall destroy him; for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

⁸ Therefore he that despises, does not despise man, but God, who has also given to us His Holy Spirit.

¹⁰ for whoremongers, for those that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

¹⁷ Obey those that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: For they watch for your souls, as those that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: For that is unprofitable for you.

¹⁷ Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.

¹⁰ But especially those that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. They are presumptuous, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries. ¹¹ Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, do not bring a railing accusation against them before the Lord. ¹² But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they do not understand; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

⁹ Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring a railing accusation against him, but said, "The Lord rebuke you." ¹⁰ But these speak evil of those things which they do not know: But what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

⁶ And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, in front of Bethpeor: But no man knows of his sepulcher to this day.

¹⁷ And David went out to meet them, and answered and said to them, "If you be come peaceably to me to help me, my heart shall be knit to you: But if you be come to betray me to my enemies, seeing there is no wrong in my hands, the God of our fathers look on it, and rebuke it.

¹³ Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried out with a loud voice in the Jews' language, and said, "Hear the words of the great king, the king of Assyria. ¹⁴ Thus says the king, 'Do not let Hezekiah deceive you: For he shall not be able to deliver you. ¹⁵ Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, "The LORD will surely deliver us: This city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.' ¹⁶ Do not listen to Hezekiah: For thus says the king of Assyria, 'Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me: And everyone eat of his vine, and everyone of his fig tree, and everyone drink the waters of his own cistern; ¹⁷ until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and wine, a land of bread and vineyards.' ¹⁸ Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, 'The LORD will deliver us.' Has any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria? ¹⁹ Where are the gods of Hamath and Arphad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim? And have they delivered Samaria out of my hand? ²⁰ Who are they among all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?" ²¹ But they held their peace, and did not answer him a word: For the king's commandment was, saying, "Do not answer him."

³ And they said to him, "Thus said Hezekiah, 'This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: For the children have come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth. ⁴ It may be the LORD your God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master has sent to reproach the living God, and will reprove the words which the LORD your God has heard: Therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.' "

¹⁰ "Thus shall you speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, 'Let not your God, in Whom you trust, deceive you, saying, "Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria." ¹¹ Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands by destroying them utterly; and shall you be delivered? ¹² Have the gods of the nations delivered those whom my fathers have destroyed, as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden which were in Telassar? ¹³ Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arphad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah?" ¹⁴ And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it: And Hezekiah went up to the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD. ¹⁵ And Hezekiah prayed to the LORD, saying, ¹⁶ "O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, who dwells between the cherubims, You are the God, even You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: You have made heaven and earth. ¹⁷ Incline your ear, O LORD, and hear; open your eyes, O LORD, and see: And hear all the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to reproach the living God. ¹⁸ Truthfully, LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the nations, and their countries, ¹⁹ and have cast their gods into the fire: For they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: Therefore they have destroyed them. ²⁰ Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the LORD, even You only."

¹³ But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days: But lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained with the kings of Persia.

²¹ But I will show you that which is noted in the Scripture of Truth: And there is none that holds fast with me in these things, except Michael your prince."

¹ "And at that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of your people: And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: And at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone that shall be found written in the book.

² And the LORD said to Satan, "The LORD rebuke you, O Satan; even the LORD that has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you: Is this not a brand plucked out of the fire?"

²⁹ And those who passed by railed at Him, wagging their heads, and saying, "Ah, You that destroy the temple, and rebuild it in three days,

³⁹ Moreover one of the criminals which was hanged railed at Him, saying, "If You are Christ, save Yourself and us." ⁴⁰ But the other answering rebuked him, saying, "Do you not fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?

¹⁶ For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: And the dead in Christ shall rise first.

⁹ Not rendering evil for evil, or returning reproach for reproach: But on the contrary blessing; knowing that you are called to this, that you should inherit a blessing.

¹¹ Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, do not bring a railing accusation against them before the Lord.

⁷ And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

²¹ Because although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. ²² Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

¹² But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they do not understand; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

³ And in the process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering to the LORD. ⁴ And Abel, he also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of its fat. And the LORD had respect to Abel and to his offering: ⁵ But to Cain and to his offering He did not have respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. ⁶ And the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you wroth? And why has your countenance fallen? ⁷ If you do well, shall you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And his desire shall be toward you, and you shall rule over him. ⁸ And Cain talked with Abel his brother: And it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. ⁹ And the LORD said to Cain, "Where is Abel your brother?" And he said, "I do not know: Am I my brother's keeper?" ¹⁰ And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries to me from the ground. ¹¹ And now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened her mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand; ¹² when you till the ground, it shall not yield her strength to you from now on; a fugitive and a vagabond you shall be in the earth." ¹³ And Cain said to the LORD, "My punishment is greater than I can bear. ¹⁴ Behold, You have driven me out from the face of the earth this day; and from Your face I shall be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that everyone that finds me shall slay me."

¹ Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men: ² And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown: ³ And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said to them, "You take too much on you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: Why then lift you up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD? ⁴ And when Moses heard it, he fell on his face: ⁵ And he spoke to Korah and to all his company, saying, "Even tomorrow the LORD will show who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near to him: Even him whom he has chosen will he cause to come near to him. ⁶ This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his company; ⁷ and put fire in it, and put incense in them before the LORD tomorrow: And it shall be that the man whom the LORD does choose, he shall be holy: You take too much on you, you sons of Levi. ⁸ And Moses said to Korah, "Hear, I implore you, you sons of Levi: ⁹ Seems it but a small thing to you, that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister to them? ¹⁰ And He has brought you near to Him, and all your brothers the sons of Levi with you: And do you seek the priesthood also? ¹¹ For which cause both you and all your company are gathered together against the LORD: And what is Aaron, that you murmur against him? ¹² And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: Which said, "We will not come up: ¹³ Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land that flows with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except you make yourself altogether a prince over us? ¹⁴ Moreover you have not brought us into a land that flows with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: Will you put out the eyes of these men? We will not come up. ¹⁵ And Moses was very wroth, and said to the LORD, Respect not you their offering: I have not taken one donkey from them, neither have I hurt one of them. ¹⁶ And Moses said to Korah, "Be you and all your company before the LORD, you, and they, and Aaron, tomorrow: ¹⁷ And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring you before the LORD every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; you also, and Aaron, each of you his censer. ¹⁸ And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense on it, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron. ¹⁹ And Korah gathered all the congregation against them to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: And the glory of the LORD appeared to all the congregation. ²⁰ And the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, ²¹ separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment. ²² And they fell upon their faces, and said, "O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and will you be wroth with all the congregation? ²³ And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ²⁴ speak to the congregation, saying, "Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. ²⁵ And Moses rose up and went to Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him. ²⁶ And he spoke to the congregation, saying, "Depart, I implore you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of their's, lest you be consumed in all their sins. ²⁷ So they got up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: And Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children. ²⁸ And Moses said, "Hereby you shall know that the LORD has sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of my own mind. ²⁹ If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the LORD has not sent me. ³⁰ But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain to them, and they go down quick into the pit; then you shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD. ³¹ And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground split asunder that was under them: ³² And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained to Korah, and all their goods. ³³ They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed on them: And they perished from among the congregation. ³⁴ And all Israel that were all around them fled at the cry of them: For they said, "Lest the earth swallow us up also. ³⁵ And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.

¹ And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in the plains of Moab on this side of the Jordan by Jericho. ² And Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites. ³ And Moab was severely afraid of the people, because they were many: And Moab was distressed because of the children of Israel. ⁴ And Moab said to the elders of Midian, Now shall this company lick up all that are all around us, as the ox licks up the grass of the field. And Balak the son of Zippor was king of the Moabites at that time. ⁵ He sent messengers therefore to Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, "Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: Behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they abide in front of me: ⁶ Come now therefore, I implore you, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: Peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: For I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed. ⁷ And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the rewards of divination in their hand; and they came to Balaam, and spoke to him the words of Balak. ⁸ And he said to them, "Lodge here this night, and I will bring you word again, as the LORD shall speak to me: And the princes of Moab stayed with Balaam. ⁹ And God came to Balaam, and said, "What men are these with you? ¹⁰ And Balaam said to God, "Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, has sent to me, saying, ¹¹ behold, there is a people come out of Egypt, which covers the face of the earth: Come now, curse me them; peradventure I shall be able to overcome them, and drive them out. ¹² And God said to Balaam, "You shall not go with them; you shall not curse the people: For they are blessed. ¹³ And Balaam rose up in the morning, and said to the princes of Balak, Get you into your land: For the LORD refuses to give me leave to go with you. ¹⁴ And the princes of Moab rose up, and they went to Balak, and said, "Balaam refuses to come with us. ¹⁵ And Balak sent yet again princes, more, and more honorable than they. ¹⁶ And they came to Balaam, and said to him, "Thus said Balak the son of Zippor, Let nothing, I implore you, hinder you from coming to me: ¹⁷ For I will promote you to very great honor, and I will do whatever you say to me: Come therefore, I implore you, curse me this people. ¹⁸ And Balaam answered and said to the servants of Balak, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of the LORD my God, to do less or more. ¹⁹ Now therefore, I implore you, tarry you also here this night, that I may know what the LORD will say to me more. ²⁰ And God came to Balaam at night, and said to him, "If the men come to call you, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall, That shall you do. ²¹ And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his donkey, and went with the princes of Moab. ²² And God's anger was kindled because he went: And the angel of the LORD stood in the walkway for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his donkey, and his two servants were with him. ²³ And the donkey saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: And the donkey turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: And Balaam smote the donkey, to turn her into the way. ²⁴ But the angel of the LORD stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side.

⁹ And the sons of Eliab; Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. This is that Dathan and Abiram, which were famous in the congregation, who strove against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they strove against the LORD: ¹⁰ And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, what time the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men: And they became a sign.

¹⁶ Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.

⁴ Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when you came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you.

⁹ Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose and warred against Israel, and sent and called Balaam the son of Beor to curse you: ¹⁰ But I would not listen to Balaam; therefore he blessed you still: So I delivered you out of his hand. ¹¹ And you went over the Jordan, and came to Jericho: And the men of Jericho fought against you, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I delivered them into your hand.

⁹ The show of their countenance does witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they do not hide it. Woe to their soul! For they have rewarded evil to themselves.

¹¹ Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him: For the reward of his hands shall be given him.

²⁷ I have seen your adulteries, and your neighings, the lewdness of your whoredom, and your abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe to you, O Jerusalem! Will you not be made clean? When shall it be for once?"

³ thus says the Lord GOD; "Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

⁵ O My people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim to Gilgal; that all of you may know the righteousness of the LORD."

¹⁷ Woe to the idol shepherd that leaves the flock! The sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: His arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened."

²¹ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

¹³ But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: For you neither go in yourselves, nor do you permit those who are entering to go in. ¹⁴ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows' houses, and for a show make long prayers: Therefore you shall receive the greater damnation. ¹⁵ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, you make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. ¹⁶ Woe to you, you blind guides, who say, 'Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obligated!'

⁴² But woe to you, Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: These you ought to have done, and not left the others undone. ⁴³ Woe to you, Pharisees! For you love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets. ⁴⁴ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are as graves which are not visible, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them." ⁴⁵ Then one of the lawyers answered, and said to Him, "Master, in this saying You reproach us also." ⁴⁶ And He said, "Woe to you also, you lawyers! For you load men with burdens grievous to bear, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers. ⁴⁷ Woe to you! For you build the sepulchers of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.

⁴ By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: And by it he being dead still speaks.

¹⁵ Who have forsaken the right way, and have gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

¹² Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And for what reason did he slay him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

¹⁴ But I have a few things against you, because you have there those that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to throw a stumbling-block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit fornication.

²⁰ then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.

³ And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.

² For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

²⁹ So they ate, and were well filled: For He gave them their own desire; ³⁰ they were not estranged from their lust. But while their food was yet in their mouths, ³¹ the wrath of God came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen men of Israel.

¹⁴ Whoever boasts himself of a false gift is like clouds and wind without rain.

¹⁰ His watchmen are blind: They are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. ¹¹ Yes, they are greedy dogs who can never have enough, and they are shepherds who cannot understand: They all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter. ¹² "Come all of you", they say, "I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be like today, and much more abundant."

⁹ Say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "Shall it prosper? Shall He not pull up its roots, and cut off its fruit, that it wither? It shall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even without great power or many people to pluck it up by its roots.

² "Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD to the shepherds; "Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks?

⁸ "As I live", said the Lord GOD, "surely because My flock became a prey, and My flock became meat to every wild beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did My shepherds search for My flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and did not feed My flock;"

¹⁰ thus says the Lord GOD; "Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require My flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver My flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them."

¹⁸ It seems a small thing to you to have eaten up the good pasture, but must you tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? And to have drunk of the deep waters, but must you foul the residue with your feet?

⁴ O Ephraim, what shall I do to you? O Judah, what shall I do to you? For your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goes away.

⁶ And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

¹³ But He answered and said, "Every plant, which My heavenly Father has not planted, shall be plucked up by the root.

¹⁹ And when He saw a fig tree beside the road, He came to it, and found nothing on it except leaves only, and said to it, "Let no fruit grow on you from this time forward forever." And immediately the fig tree withered away. ²⁰ So when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, "How soon the fig tree is withered away!"

⁶ But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.

²⁰ Then in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. ²¹ And Peter, remembering, said to Him, "Master, behold, the fig tree which You cursed is withered away."

⁶ And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.

¹⁹ And I will say to my soul, "Soul, you have a great many goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry." ' ²⁰ But God said to him, 'You fool, this night your soul shall be required of you: Then whose shall those things be, which you have provided?'

⁴⁵ But then, if that servant says in his heart, 'My lord delays his coming'; and begins to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and be drunk;

¹⁹ There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

³⁴ Also take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with gluttony, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you when unaware.

⁴ Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine; no more can you, unless you abide in Me. ⁵ I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: For without Me you can do nothing. ⁶ If a man does not abide in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

²⁰ When you therefore come together into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's Supper. ²¹ For in eating everyone takes his own supper before others: And one is hungry, and another is drunk. ²² What? Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God, and shame those that do not have? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.

¹⁹ Whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

⁶ Therefore let us not sleep, as others do; but let us watch and be sober. ⁷ For those who sleep, sleep in the night; and those who are drunk, are drunk in the night.

⁶ But she that lives in pleasure is dead while she lives.

⁴ For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, ⁵ and have tasted the good Word of God, and the powers of the world to come, ⁶ if they shall fall away, to renew them again to repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame. ⁷ For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and brings forth herbs fit for those by whom they are cultivated, receives blessing from God: ⁸ But that which bears thorns and briers is rejected, and is near to being cursed; whose end is to be burned.

⁵ You have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; you have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.

¹³ and shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to riot in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; ¹⁴ having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: They have a heart exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

¹⁷ These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved forever. ¹⁸ For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that had truly escaped from those who live in error. ¹⁹ While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: For by whom a man is overcome, by the same he is brought into bondage. ²⁰ For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them, and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning.

⁷ Which stills the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.

³ The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voices; the floods lift up their waves. ⁴ The LORD on high is mightier than the thunders of many waters, yes, mightier than the mighty waves of the sea.

²⁰ But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.

²² Do you not fear me?' said the LORD: 'will you not tremble at My presence, who has placed the sand as the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it?: And though the waves of it toss themselves, yet they cannot prevail; though they roar, yet they cannot pass over it? ²³ But this people has a revolting and a rebellious heart; they have revolted and gone.

¹³ But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

¹⁷ These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved forever.

¹⁰ Then the third angel sounded, and a large star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell upon a third of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; ¹¹ and the name of the star is called Wormwood: And a third of the waters became wormwood; and many men died from the waters, because they were made bitter.

¹⁰ the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: ¹¹ And the smoke of their torment ascends up forever and ever: And they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name."

⁸ But the fearful, unbelieving, the abominable, murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: Which is the second death."

¹⁸ And Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and he begat Enoch:

²¹ And Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begat Methuselah: ²² And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: ²³ And all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years: ²⁴ And Enoch walked with God: And he was not; for God took him.

² And he said, "The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir to them; he shined forth from Mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: From his right hand went a fiery law for them.

¹ Adam, Sheth, Enosh, ² kenan, Mahalaleel, Jered, ³ henoch, Methuselah, Lamech,

²⁵ For I know that my redeemer lives, and that he shall stand at the latter day on the earth: ²⁶ And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: ²⁷ Whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

³ Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: A fire shall devour before Him, and it shall be very tempestuous all around Him. ⁴ He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that He may judge His people. ⁵ "Gather My saints together to Me; those that have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice."

⁹ I beheld until the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of Days sat, Whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head like pure wool: His throne was like the fiery flame, and His wheels as burning fire. ¹⁰ A fiery stream issued and came out from before Him: Thousand thousands ministered to Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him: The judgment was set, and the books were opened.

⁵ "And you all shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal: Yes, you all shall flee, like you all fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah": And the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with You.

²⁷ For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels; and then He shall reward every man according to his works.

³⁰ And then the sign of the Son of Man shall appear in heaven: And then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. ³¹ And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

³¹ When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He shall sit upon the throne of His glory:

¹³ Until the end may He establish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

⁷ and to you who are troubled, rest with us; when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, ⁸ in flaming fire taking vengeance on those that do not know God, and that do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

⁵ By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; "and was not found, because God had translated him": For before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. ⁶ But without faith it is impossible to please Him: For he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him.

⁷ Behold, He comes with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and also those which pierced Him: And all tribes of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.

⁸ And Moses said, "This shall be, when the LORD gives you flesh to eat in the evening, and in the morning bread to the full; for the LORD hears your murmurings which you murmur against Him: And what are we? Your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD."

³ Do not talk so exceedingly proudly; let not arrogance proceed out of your mouth: For the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed.

⁷ But the LORD shall endure forever: He has prepared His throne for judgment. ⁸ And He shall judge the world in righteousness, He shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.

¹⁸ Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

⁶ And He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and Your judgment as the noonday.

¹ A Psalm of Asaph. The mighty God, even the LORD, has spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun to the going down of it. ² Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shined. ³ Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: A fire shall devour before Him, and it shall be very tempestuous all around Him. ⁴ He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that He may judge His people. ⁵ "Gather My saints together to Me; those that have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice." ⁶ And the heavens shall declare His righteousness: For God Himself is judge. Selah.

⁹ They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walks through the earth.

⁴ How long shall they utter and speak hard things? And all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

⁹ before the LORD; for He comes to judge the earth: With righteousness He shall judge the world, and the people with equity.

⁹ to execute upon them the judgment written: All His saints have this honor. Praise the LORD, all of you.

⁹ Rejoice, O young man, in your youth; and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes: But know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.

¹⁴ For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

²² This is the word which the LORD has spoken concerning him; 'The virgin, the daughter of Zion, has despised you, and laughed you to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem has shaken her head at you. ²³ Whom have you reproached and blasphemed? And against whom have you exalted your voice, and lifted up your eyes on high? Even against the Holy One of Israel. ²⁴ By your servants you have reproached the Lord, and have said, "By the multitude of my chariots I have come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars of it, and its choice fir trees: And I will enter into the height of his border, and the forest of his Carmel. ²⁵ I have dug, and drunk water; and with the sole of my feet I have dried up all the rivers of the besieged places." ²⁶ Have you not heard long ago, how I have done it; and of ancient times, that I have formed it? Now I have brought it to pass, that you should lay waste defended cities into ruinous heaps. ²⁷ Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded: They were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as grain blasted before it is grown up. ²⁸ But I know your abode, and your going out, and your coming in, and your rage against me. ²⁹ Because your rage against me, and your tumult, have come up into my ears, therefore I will put my hook in your nose, and my bridle in your lips, and I will turn back by the way which you came." ' ³⁰ And this shall be a sign to you, this year you shall eat such as grows of itself; and the second year that which springs from the same: And in the third year you sow, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of it. ³¹ And the remnant of the house of Judah who have escaped shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward: ³² For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they who escape out of Mount Zion: The zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this. ³³ Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, 'He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shields, nor cast a siege mound against it. ³⁴ By the way that he came, by the same he shall return, and shall not come into this city', said the LORD. ³⁵ 'For I will defend this city to save it for My own sake, and for My servant David's sake.' " ³⁶ Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and eighty and five thousand: And when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

²⁰ and of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spoke very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.

³⁶ And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper until the indignation is accomplished: For that which is determined shall be done.

¹³ "Your words have been stout against Me", says the LORD. "Yet you say, 'What have we spoken so boldly against You?' ¹⁴ You all have said, 'It is vain to serve God: And what profit is it that we have kept His ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts? ¹⁵ And now we call the proud happy; yes, those that work wickedness are established; yes, those that tempt God are even delivered.' "

³¹ Therefore I say to you, All forms of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men: But the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven men. ³² And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him: But whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in the world to come. ³³ Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: For the tree is known by his fruit. ³⁴ O generation of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. ³⁵ A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things: And an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. ³⁶ But I say to you that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account of it in the day of judgment. ³⁷ For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned."

²² For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son: ²³ That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that does not honor the Son does not honor the Father which sent Him.

²⁷ and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man.

³¹ Because He has appointed a day, in which He will judge the world in righteousness by that Man whom He has ordained; of which He has given assurance to all men, in that He has raised Him from the dead."

⁵ But according to your hardness and impenitent heart you treasure up for yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

¹⁶ in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

¹⁹ Now we know that whatever things the law says, it says to those who are under the law: That every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. ²⁰ Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh shall be justified in His sight: For by the law is the knowledge of sin.

¹⁰ But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you disregard your brother as nothing? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

⁵ Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: And then every man shall have praise from God.

¹³ But those that are outside God judges. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

⁹ knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

⁶ and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example to those that afterward would live ungodly; ⁷ and delivered just Lot, who was vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: ⁸ (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds); ⁹ the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust for the day of judgment to be punished:

¹⁶ These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaks great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

⁵ And there was given to him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given to him to continue for forty-two months. ⁶ And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, and His tabernacle, and those that dwell in heaven.

¹¹ Then I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon.

¹² "And behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with Me, to give every man according to as his work shall be. ¹³ I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the First and the Last." ¹⁴ Blessed are those that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. ¹⁵ For outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whoever loves and fabricates a lie.

²⁰ He which testifies these things says, "Surely I come quickly." Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

¹⁵ You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: You shall not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: But in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.

³⁶ And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land,

¹¹ For which cause both you and all your company are gathered together against the LORD: And what is Aaron, that you murmur against him?

²⁷ And you murmured in your tents, and said, "Because the LORD hated us, he has brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.

⁴ For you have hid their heart from understanding: Therefore you shall not exalt them. ⁵ He that speaks flattery to his friends, even the eyes of his children shall fail.

²¹ Let me not, I implore you, accept any man's person, neither let me give flattering titles to man.

¹⁹ How much less to him that accepts not the persons of princes, nor regards the rich more than the poor? For they all are the work of his hands.

⁴ In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honors those that fear the LORD. He that swears to his own hurt, and does not change it.

¹⁰ They are enclosed in their own fat: With their mouth they speak proudly.

⁹ They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walks through the earth. ¹⁰ Therefore his people return here: And waters of a full cup are wrung out to them. ¹¹ And they say, "How does God know? And is there knowledge in the most High?"

²⁵ But murmured in their tents, and did not hearken to the voice of the LORD.

²¹ To have reverence of persons is not good: Because for a piece of bread that man will transgress.

²⁴ Those that erred in spirit shall also come to understanding, and those that murmured shall learn doctrine.

³⁰ But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against His disciples, saying, "Why do You eat and drink with publicans and sinners?"

² And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, "This Man receives sinners, and eats with them."

⁷ Yet when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, "He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner."

⁴¹ The Jews then murmured at Him, because He said, "I am the bread which came down from heaven."

⁶¹ When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples murmured at it, He said to them, "Does this offend you?

¹⁰ Nor murmur, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed by the destroyer.

¹⁶ This I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

²⁴ And those that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

¹⁴ Do all things without murmuring and disputing:

⁵ not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles who do not know God:

⁵ perverse disputing by men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: From such withdraw yourself.

³ For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts they shall heap up to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

¹⁴ But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. ¹⁵ Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: And sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.

¹ My brethren, do not have the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, also with reverence of persons. ² For if there comes to your assembly a man with a gold ring, in gorgeous apparel, and there also comes in a poor man in vile clothing; ³ and you have respect to him that wears the gorgeous clothing, and say to him, "You sit here in a good place"; and say to the poor, "You stand there", or, "Sit here under my footstool": ⁴ Are you then not partial within yourselves, and have become judges of evil thoughts? ⁵ Hearken, my beloved brethren, has not God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He has promised to those that love Him? ⁶ But you have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats? ⁷ Do they not blaspheme that worthy name by which you are called? ⁸ If you fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself", you do well: ⁹ But if you have reverence to people, you commit sin, and are convinced by the law as being transgressors.

¹⁴ as obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

¹¹ Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

² that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

¹⁸ For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that had truly escaped from those who live in error.

³ Knowing this first, that scoffers shall come in the last days, walking after their own lusts,

¹⁸ how they told you there would be mockers in the last time, who would walk after their own ungodly lusts.

⁴ "Remember the law of Moses My servant, all of you, which I commanded to him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

³⁵ I have shown you all things, how by so laboring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' "

²⁰ and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone;

¹¹ And He gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers;

² That you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment from us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior:

⁶ We are of God: He that knows God hears us; he that is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

¹ To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that does good. ² The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that understand, and seek God.

²⁹ For I know this, that after my departure grievous wolves shall enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

¹ Now the Spirit expressly speaks, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; ² speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

¹ Also know this, that in the last days perilous times shall come. ² For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, ³ without natural affection, truce-breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those who are good, ⁴ traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; ⁵ having a form of godliness, but denying the power of it: From such turn away.

¹ But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privately shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

¹ Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeks and intermeddles with all wisdom.

⁵ who say, 'Stand by yourself, do not come near to me; for I am holier than you.' These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burns all day long.

⁷ For everyone of the house of Israel, or the stranger who sojourns in Israel, who separates himself from Me, and sets up his idols in his heart, and puts the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to a prophet to inquire of him concerning Me; I the LORD will answer him by Myself:

¹⁴ I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: For they themselves are separated with whores, and they sacrifice with harlots: Therefore the people that do not understand shall fall.

¹⁰ I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the first ripe fruit in the fig tree at her first harvest-time: But they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves to that shame; and their abominations were in accordance with that which they loved.

⁵ Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a man is born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. ⁶ That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

⁹ But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if as should be the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if any man does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.

¹⁴ But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God: For they are foolishness to him: Neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

¹⁹ What? Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God, and you are not your own?

²⁵ Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some; but exhorting one another: And so much the more, as you see the day approaching.

¹⁵ This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

¹⁰ And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: And they shall look upon Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

³¹ Then the churches had rest throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, were multiplied.

⁹ and made no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

¹⁸ to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith that is in Me.'

¹⁵ For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry out, "Abba, Father."

²⁶ Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought: But the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. ²⁷ Moreover He that searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

² Let every one of us please his neighbor for his good, to edification.

⁸ Who shall also confirm you until the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

²³ All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: All things are lawful for me, but not all things edify.

⁴ He that speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself; but he that prophesies edifies the church. ⁵ I would like that you all spoke with tongues, but far more that you prophesied: For greater is he that prophesies than he that speaks with tongues, unless he interprets, that the church may receive edification.

¹⁵ What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding: I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.

²⁶ How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, every one of you has a psalm, has a doctrine, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.

⁶ And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, "Abba, Father."

¹² for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

¹⁶ From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplies, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, makes increase of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

²⁹ Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good for the use of edifying, that it may minister grace to the hearers.

¹⁸ Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching to the end with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

⁷ Rooted and built up in Him, and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

¹¹ Therefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also you do.

⁴ nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which bring questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith; so do. ⁵ when I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois, and your mother Eunice; and I am persuaded is in you also.

¹ Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is by godliness;

²² Do you see how faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?

⁴ For whatever is born of God overcomes the world: And this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.

³ Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write to you about the common salvation, it was necessary for me to write to you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints.

¹⁰ He that leads into captivity shall go into captivity: He that kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

¹⁴ If a man die, shall he live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

²⁵ The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. ²⁶ It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

⁴² Watch therefore: For you do not know what hour your Lord comes. ⁴³ Moreover know this, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have let his house be broken through. ⁴⁴ Therefore you also be ready: For the Son of Man comes at such an hour that you do not think. ⁴⁵ Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? ⁴⁶ Blessed is that servant, whom his lord shall find so doing when he comes. ⁴⁷ Truly I say to you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. ⁴⁸ But if that evil servant says in his heart, 'My lord delays his coming'; ⁴⁹ and begins to smite his fellow-servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; ⁵⁰ the lord of that servant shall come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour that he is not aware of, ⁵¹ and shall cut him apart, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

³⁶ and liken yourselves to men that wait for their lord, when he shall return from the wedding; that when he comes and knocks, they may open to him immediately. ³⁷ Blessed are those servants, whom when the lord comes shall find watching: Truly I say to you, That he shall gird himself, and make them sit down to eat, and will come forth and serve them. ³⁸ And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. ³⁹ Moreover know this, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have let his house be broken through. ⁴⁰ Therefore you also be ready: For the Son of Man comes at an hour you would not think."

¹⁷ For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

²¹ He that has My commandments, and keeps them, it is he that loves Me: And he that loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him."

⁹ As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you: Continue in My love. ¹⁰ If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love; even as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love.

⁵ Now hope does not make us ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given to us.

²¹ That as sin has reigned to death, even so might grace reign through righteousness to eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

²³ For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

³⁹ nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁵ And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

¹⁶ The Lord give mercy to the house of Onesiphorus; for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:

¹⁸ The Lord grant to him that he may find mercy from the Lord in that day: And you know very well in how many things he ministered to me at Ephesus.

⁸ Furthermore, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me in that day: And not to me only, but also to all those that love His appearing.

¹³ looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; ¹⁴ who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

²⁸ So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and to those that look for Him He shall appear the second time without sin to salvation.

¹² looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, in which the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

¹⁶ By this we perceive the love of God, because He laid down His life for us: And we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. ¹⁷ But whoever has this world's good life, and sees his brother have need, and shuts up his inner heart of compassion from him, how does the love of God dwell in him?

¹⁶ And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him.

¹⁰ He that believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself: He that does not believe God has made Him a liar; because he does not believe the record that God gave of His Son. ¹¹ And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

¹⁸ We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who is begotten of God keeps himself, and that wicked one does not touch him.

²¹ Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

²⁴ Now to Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,

¹⁷ And as for you, O My flock", thus says the Lord GOD; "Behold, I judge between domestic beasts and domestic beasts, between the rams and the he-goats.

²⁰ I desire to be present with you now, and to change my tone; because I stand in doubt concerning you.

¹ Brethren, if a man is overtaken in a fault, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering yourself, lest you also be tempted.

¹⁹ Brethren, if any of you errs from the truth, and someone converts him; ²⁰ let him know, that he who converts the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

¹⁶ If any man sees his brother sin a sin which is not to death, he shall ask, and He shall give him life for those that sin not to death. There is a sin leading to death: I do not say that he should pray for it. ¹⁷ All unrighteousness is sin: And there is a sin not to death. ¹⁸ We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who is begotten of God keeps himself, and that wicked one does not touch him.

⁴ For there are certain men that crept in unexpectedly, who evidently were ordained to this condemnation a long while ago, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁵ Therefore I will put you in remembrance, though you once knew this, how the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those that did not believe. ⁶ And the angels which did not keep their first estate, but left their own habitation, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day. ⁷ Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities all around them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. ⁸ Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise government, and speak evil of dignitaries. ⁹ Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring a railing accusation against him, but said, "The Lord rebuke you." ¹⁰ But these speak evil of those things which they do not know: But what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. ¹¹ Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the contrariety of Korah. ¹² These are spots in your feasts of love, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: They are clouds without water, carried about by winds; trees whose fruit withers, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; ¹³ raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.

⁴⁷ The garment also that the plague of leprosy is in, whether it be a woolen garment, or a linen garment; ⁴⁸ whether it be in the warp, or woof; of linen, or of woolen; whether in a skin, or in anything made of skin; ⁴⁹ and if the plague be greenish or reddish in the garment, or in the skin, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in anything of skin; it is a plague of leprosy, and shall be showed to the priest: ⁵⁰ And the priest shall look on the plague, and shut up it that has the plague seven days: ⁵¹ And he shall look on the plague on the seventh day: If the plague be spread in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in a skin, or in any work that is made of skin; the plague is a fretting leprosy; it is unclean. ⁵² He shall therefore burn that garment, whether warp or woof, in woolen or in linen, or anything of skin, in which the plague is: For it is a fretting leprosy; it shall be burnt in the fire. ⁵³ And if the priest shall look, and behold, the plague be not spread in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in anything of skin; ⁵⁴ then the priest shall command that they wash the thing in which the plague is, and he shall shut it up seven days more: ⁵⁵ And the priest shall look on the plague, after that it is washed: And behold, if the plague have not changed his color, and the plague be not spread; it is unclean; you shall burn it in the fire; it is fret inward, whether it be bore within or without. ⁵⁶ And if the priest look, and behold, the plague be somewhat dark after the washing of it; then he shall rend it out of the garment, or out of the skin, or out of the warp, or out of the woof: ⁵⁷ And if it appear still in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in anything of skin; it is a spreading plague: You shall burn that in which the plague is with fire. ⁵⁸ And the garment, either warp, or woof, or whatever thing of skin it be, which you shall wash, if the plague be departed from them, then it shall be washed the second time, and shall be clean. ⁵⁹ This is the law of the plague of leprosy in a garment of woolen or linen, either in the warp, or woof, or anything of skins, to pronounce it clean, or to pronounce it unclean.

⁴⁷ And he that lies in the house shall wash his clothes; and he that eats in the house shall wash his clothes.

¹⁷ And every garment, and every skin, on which is the seed of copulation, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even.

⁶ But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

¹⁴ they have wandered as blind men in the streets, they have polluted themselves with blood, so that men could not touch their garments.

² And the LORD said to Satan, "The LORD rebuke you, O Satan; even the LORD that has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you: Is this not a brand plucked out of the fire?" ³ Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. ⁴ And He answered and spoke to those that stood before him, saying, "Take away the filthy garments from him." And to him He said, "Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with a change of apparel." ⁵ And I said, "Let them set a fair turban upon his head." So they set a fair turban upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.

¹⁴ If by any means I may provoke to emulation those who are my flesh, and might save some of them.

¹⁵ If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: But he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

³ For I indeed, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have already judged, as though I were present, concerning him that has so done this deed, ⁴ in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, ⁵ to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

⁹ I wrote to you in a letter not to keep company with fornicators: ¹⁰ Yet not completely with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then you would need to go out of the world. ¹¹ But now I have written to you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother is a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; not to eat with such an one.

³³ Do not be deceived: "Evil communications corrupt good manners."

¹⁰ For godly sorrow works out repentance to salvation, not to be regretted: But the sorrow of the world works death. ¹¹ For behold this very same thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner, yes, what diligence it produced in you, yes, what defense of yourselves, yes, what indignation, yes, what fear, yes, what vehement desire, yes, what zeal, yes, what revenge! In all things you have commended yourselves to be clear in this matter. ¹² Therefore, although I wrote to you, I did not do it because of him that had done the wrong, nor because of him that suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear to you.

¹⁴ And if any man does not obey our word by this letter, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

¹⁶ Take heed to yourself, and to the doctrine; continue in them: For in doing this you shall save both yourself, and those that hear you.

⁴ You have a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white: For they are worthy.

¹⁸ I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, so that the shame of your nakedness does not appear; and anoint your eyes with eye-salve, that you may see.

⁶ For You have made him most blessed forever: You have made him exceedingly glad with Your countenance.

⁴ Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy: Yeah, I will praise You on the harp, O God my God.

¹² Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad: For great is your reward in heaven: For in like manner they persecuted the prophets which were before you.

²⁸ And Jesus said to them, "Truly I say to you, That in the regeneration when the Son of Man shall sit on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me shall also sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

²⁶ For whoever is ashamed of Me and of My words, of him the Son of Man shall be ashamed, when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father's glory, and of the holy angels.

³¹ What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

⁴ Who are you that judges another man's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Moreover, he shall be held up: For God is able to make him stand.

²⁵ Now to Him that is powerful to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, ²⁶ but is now made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, is made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: ²⁷ To God singly wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.

¹⁴ knowing that He which raised up the Lord Jesus shall also raise up us by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

¹⁷ For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

² For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: For I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

²⁰ Now to Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

²⁷ that He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

²² in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in His sight:

²⁸ Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

⁴ When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then you shall also appear with Him in glory.

¹⁶ For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: And the dead in Christ shall rise first. ¹⁷ Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: And so shall we be with the Lord evermore.

²⁰ Now the God of peace, that brought forth again our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, ²¹ make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

¹³ But rejoice, considering that you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that when His glory shall be revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.

²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.

⁵ And no guile was found in their mouths: For they are without fault before the throne of God.

¹¹ Yours, O LORD is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: For all that is in the heaven and in the earth is yours; your is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all.

¹⁸ Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, Who only does wondrous things. ¹⁹ And blessed be His glorious name forever: And let the whole earth be filled with His glory; Amen, and Amen.

²⁰ Behold, He smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can He give bread also? Can He provide flesh for His people"?

²⁴ O LORD, how many are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all: The earth is full of Your riches.

⁵ Great is our LORD, and of great power: His understanding is infinite.

² Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: For the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; He also has become my salvation.

²¹ All of you tell, and bring them near; yes, let them take counsel together: Who has declared this from ancient times? Who has told it from that time? Have I not, the LORD? And there is no God besides Me; a just God and a Savior; there is none besides me.

³⁷ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and His ways judgment: And those who walk in pride He is able to abase.

¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.'

²² You worship what you do not know: We know what we worship: For salvation is of the Jews.

⁴⁴ How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from God only?

³³ O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!

³⁶ For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things: To whom be glory forever. Amen.

²⁷ To God singly wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.

⁸ in which He has abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

¹⁰ To the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be known through the church to the principalities and powers in heavenly places,

²¹ to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

¹⁷ Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

³ For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior;

³ but has in due times manifested His word through preaching, which is committed to me according to the commandment of God our Savior: ⁴ To Titus, my own son according to the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.

¹⁰ not stealing, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.

¹³ looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;

⁴ But after that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared,

⁸ Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever.

¹¹ If any man speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God gives: That in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the praise and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

¹⁰ But the God of all grace, who has called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. ¹¹ To Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

¹⁸ But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever. Amen.

⁶ and has made us kings and priests to God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

⁹ And when those beasts give glory and honor and thanks to Him that sat on the throne, who lives forever and ever, ¹⁰ the twenty-four elders fall down before Him that sat on the throne, and worship Him that lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, ¹¹ "You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: For You have created all things, and for Your pleasure they are and were created."

¹³ And I heard every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, saying, "Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be to Him that sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb forever and ever." ¹⁴ And the four beasts said, "Amen." And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him that lives forever and ever.
