⁴⁰ Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.

³⁰ When you are in tribulation, and all these things are come on you, even in the latter days, if you turn to the LORD your God, and shall be obedient to his voice;

¹² and said to them, "You are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: Sanctify yourselves, both you and your brothers, that you may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel to the place that I have prepared for it. ¹³ For because you did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach on us, for that we sought him not after the due order.

⁶ So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, "You children of Israel, turn again to the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and he will return to the remnant of you, that are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.

⁹ For if you turn again to the LORD, your brothers and your children shall find compassion before those that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: For the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him.

¹³ If you prepare your heart, and stretch out your hands toward him; ¹⁴ if iniquity be in your hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in your tabernacles. ¹⁵ For then you shall lift up your face without spot; yes, you shall be steadfast, and shall not fear:

³¹ Surely it is meet to be said to God, "I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more: ³² That which I see not teach you me: If I have done iniquity, I will do no more.

⁴ Stand in awe, and do not sin: Commune with your own heart on your bed, and be still. Selah.

⁵⁹ I thought upon my ways, and turned my feet to Your testimonies.

²³ Search me, O God, and know my heart: Try me, and know my thoughts: ²⁴ And see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: And let him return to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

²⁸ Because he considers, and turns away from all his transgressions that he has committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

¹ Come, and let us return to the LORD: For He has torn, and He will heal us; He has smitten, and He will bind us up.

⁶ Therefore turn to your God: Keep mercy and judgment, and wait on your God continually.

¹ O Israel, return to the LORD your God; for you have fallen by your iniquity. ² Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: Say to Him, "Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: So will we render the calves of our lips. ³ Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: Neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, 'You are our gods': For in You the fatherless finds mercy."

¹² "Therefore now also," says the LORD, "turn even to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: ¹³ And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn to the LORD your God: For He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and it repents Him concerning the evil.

⁵ Now therefore thus says the LORD of hosts; "Consider your ways. ⁶ You all have sown much, and bring in little; all you eat, but you all do not have enough; all you drink, but you all are not filled with drink; all you clothe yourselves, but there are none warm; and he that earns wages earns wages to put it into a bag with holes." ⁷ Thus says the LORD of hosts; "Consider your ways. ⁸ Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified", says the LORD. ⁹ "You all looked for much, and lo, it came to little; and when you all brought it home, I blew upon it. Why?" says the LORD of hosts. "Because of My house that is in waste, and all of you, every man, runs to his own house.

³ Therefore say you to them, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts; "Turn to Me", says the LORD of hosts, "and I will turn to you", says the LORD of hosts. ⁴ "Do not be as your fathers, to whom the former prophets have cried out, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts; "Turn now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings, all of you" ': But they did not hear, nor hearken to Me", says the LORD.

²⁰ But brought word first to those of Damascus, and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works worthy for repentance.

²⁸ But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

³¹ For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

⁵ Examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith; prove your own selves. Do you not know your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you, unless you are reprobates?
