¹ And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ² command the children of Israel, that they bring to you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually. ³ Without the veil of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron order it from the evening to the morning before the LORD continually: It shall be a statute forever in your generations. ⁴ He shall order the lamps on the pure candlestick before the LORD continually. ⁵ And you shall take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes of it: Two tenth deals shall be in one cake. ⁶ And you shall set them in two rows, six on a row, on the pure table before the LORD. ⁷ And you shall put pure frankincense on each row, that it may be on the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire to the LORD. ⁸ Every Sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant. ⁹ And it shall be Aaron's and his sons'; and they shall eat it in the holy place: For it is most holy to him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute. ¹⁰ And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: And this son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp; ¹¹ and the Israelitish woman's son blasphemed the name of the Lord, and cursed. And they brought him to Moses: (and his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan): ¹² And they put him in the prison ward, that the mind of the LORD might be showed them. ¹³ And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ¹⁴ bring forth him that has cursed outside the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him. ¹⁵ And you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, "Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin. ¹⁶ And he that blasphemes the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: As well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemes the name of the Lord, shall be put to death. ¹⁷ And he that kills any man shall surely be put to death. ¹⁸ And he that kills a beast shall make it good; beast for beast. ¹⁹ And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbor; as he has done, so shall it be done to him; ²⁰ breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: As he has caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again. ²¹ And he that kills a beast, he shall restore it: And he that kills a man, he shall be put to death. ²² You shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: For I am the LORD your God. ²³ And Moses spoke to the children of Israel, that they should bring forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stone him with stones. And the children of Israel did as the LORD commanded Moses.

²⁰ And you shall command the children of Israel, that they bring you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always. ²¹ In the tabernacle of the congregation without the veil, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD: It shall be a statute forever to their generations on behalf of the children of Israel.

³⁷ the pure candlestick, with its lamps, even with the lamps to be set in order, and all its vessels, and the oil for light,

²⁴ And he put the candlestick in the tent of the congregation, in front of the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.

² speak to Aaron and say to him, When you light the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the candlestick. ³ And Aaron did so; he lighted its lamps in front of the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses. ⁴ And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold, to its shaft, to its flowers, was beaten work: According to the pattern which the LORD had showed Moses, so he made the candlestick.

³ and before the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, and Samuel was laid down to sleep where the ark of God was; ⁴ that the LORD called Samuel. And he answered, "Here I am."

¹¹ And they burn to the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet incense: The show-bread also set they in order on the pure table; and the candlestick of gold with its lamps, to burn every evening: For we keep the charge of the LORD our God; but you have forsaken him.

¹⁰⁵ NUN: Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.

¹³⁰ The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.

²³ For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

²⁰ To the law and to the testimony: If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

² And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest on him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

¹⁶ the people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to those that sat in the region and shadow of death, light has sprung up."

¹⁶ Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

¹ "Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. ² And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. ³ Those who were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: ⁴ But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. ⁵ While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. ⁶ And at midnight a cry was made, 'Behold, the bridegroom comes; go out to meet him.' ⁷ Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. ⁸ And the foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil; for our lamps have gone out.'

⁷⁹ to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace."

³⁵ Let your loins be girded around, and your lights burning;

⁴ In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.

⁹ That was the true Light, which enlightens every man that comes into the world.

³⁵ He was a burning and a shining light: And you were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.

¹² Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world: He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."

¹⁸ to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith that is in Me.'

⁶ For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him: ¹⁸ The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

⁸ For you were sometimes darkness, but now you are light in the Lord: Walk as children of light: ⁹ (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth); ¹⁰ proving what is acceptable to the Lord. ¹¹ And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. ¹² For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. ¹³ But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: For whatever makes manifest is light. ¹⁴ Therefore He says: "Awake, you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light."

¹⁵ That you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you shine as lights in the world; ¹⁶ holding forth the Word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, nor labored in vain.

³¹ And you shall make a candlestick of pure gold: The candlestick shall be made of beaten work: His shaft, and his branches, his bowls, its buds, and its flowers, shall be of the same. ³² And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side: ³³ Three bowls made likened to almonds, with a bud and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a bud and a flower: In such a fashion shall be the six branches that come out of the candlestick. ³⁴ And in the candlestick shall be four bowls made likened to almonds, with their buds and their flowers. ³⁵ And there shall be a bud under two branches of the same, and a bud under two branches of the same, and a bud under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the candlestick. ³⁶ Their buds and their branches shall be of the same: All of it shall be one beaten work of pure gold. ³⁷ And you shall make the seven lamps of it: And they shall light its lamps, that they may give light in front of it. ³⁸ And its tongs, and its fire-pans, shall be of pure gold. ³⁹ Of a talent of pure gold he shall make it, with all these vessels.1 Hebrew talent weighed 125 pounds, or ~56.7 kilograms; per Easton's Illustrated Bible Dictionary, Appendix VI.

⁸ and the table and its furnishings, and the pure candlestick with all its furnishings, and the altar of incense,

³¹ And their charge shall be the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary with which they minister, and the hanging, and all its service.

⁹ And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and his lamps, and his tongs, and his fire-pans, and all the oil vessels of it, with which they minister to it:

⁴⁹ and the candlesticks of pure gold, five on the right side, and five on the left, before the oracle, with the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs of gold,

¹⁵ Even the weight for the candlesticks of gold, and for their lamps of gold, by weight for every candlestick, and for its lamps: And for the candlesticks of silver by weight, both for the candlestick, and also for its lamps, according to the use of every candlestick.

¹⁹ And the basins, and the fire-pans, and the bowls, and the caldrons, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups; that which was of gold in gold, and that which was of silver in silver, the captain of the guard took away.

² And said to me, "What do you see?" And I said, "I have looked, and behold a candlestick of all gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and its seven lamps, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top of it: ³ And two olive trees by it, one on the right side of the bowl, and the other on the left side of it."

¹¹ Then I answered, and said to him, "What are these two olive trees on the right side of the candlestick and on the left side of it?" ¹² And I answered again, and said to him, "What are these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?" ¹³ And he answered me and said, "Do you not know what these are?" And I said, "No, my lord." ¹⁴ Then he said, "These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth."

² For there was a tabernacle made; the first, in which was the candlestick, and the table, and the showbread; which is called the sanctuary.

²⁰ the mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: And the seven candlesticks which you saw are the seven churches.

⁵ Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come to you quickly, and will remove your candlestick out of its place, unless you repent.

⁴ These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

³⁰ And you shall set show-bread upon the table before Me always.

²³ And he set the bread in order upon it before the LORD; as the LORD had commanded Moses.

⁴ And the priest answered David, and said, "There is no common bread on hand, but there is hallowed bread; if the young men have at least kept themselves from women." ⁵ And David answered the priest, and said to him, "Truly women have been kept from us for about three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a manner common, yes, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel."

³¹ And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the LORD came, saying, "Israel shall be your name:

⁴ how he entered into the house of God, and ate the showbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests?

⁷ To which promise our twelve tribes, urgently serving God day and night, hope to attain. For this hope's sake, King Agrippa, I am accused by the Jews.

⁴⁸ And Solomon made all the vessels that pertained to the house of the LORD: The altar of gold, and the table of gold, whereupon the show-bread was,

¹⁹ And Solomon made all the vessels that were for the house of God, the golden altar also, and the tables on which the show-bread was set;

⁴⁰ Let all things be done decently and in order.

¹⁶ And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth."

¹⁴ And this day shall be for a memorial to you; and you shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; you shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.

⁹ And it shall be for a sign to you upon your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that the LORD's law may be in your mouth: For with a strong hand the LORD has brought you out of Egypt.

¹⁴ And the LORD said to Moses, "Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: For I will utterly wipe out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven."

² And he shall bring it to Aaron's sons the priests: And he shall take out of there his handful of its flour, and of its oil, with all its frankincense; and the priest shall burn the memorial of it on the altar, to be an offering made by fire, of a sweet smell to the LORD:

³⁵ And Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life: He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

⁵¹ I am the living bread which came down from heaven: If any man eats of this bread, he shall live forever: And the bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."

⁴ And when he looked at him, he was afraid, and said, "What is it, Lord?" And he said to him, "Your prayers and your charitable alms have come up as a memorial before God.

³¹ and said, 'Cornelius, your prayer is heard, and your charitable alms are in remembrance in the sight of God.

²³ For I have received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread: ²⁴ And when He had given thanks, He broke it, and said, "Take, eat: This is My body, which is broken for you: Do this in remembrance of Me." ²⁵ In the same manner He also took the cup, when he had sipped, saying, "This cup is the new testament in My blood: This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."

⁶ to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved.

²⁵ Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those that come to God by Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

³ Then another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given to him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. ⁴ And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.

⁷ And on the table of show-bread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put on it the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and covers to cover with: And the continual bread shall be on it:

³² And other of their brothers, of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the show-bread, to prepare it every Sabbath.

²⁹ both for the show-bread, and for the fine flour for food offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for that which is baked in the pan, and for that which is fried, and for all manner of measure and size;

⁴ Behold, I build a house to the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual show-bread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. This is an ordinance forever to Israel.

³³ for the show-bread, and for the continual food offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the Sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.

³ But He said to them, "Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, and those who were with him; ⁴ how he entered into the house of God, and ate the showbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests? ⁵ Or have you not read in the law, how on the Sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are blameless?

³² And Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram, and the bread that is in the basket by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. ³³ And they shall eat those things with which the atonement was made, to consecrate and to sanctify them: But a stranger shall not eat of it, because they are holy.

¹⁶ And its remainder shall Aaron and his sons eat: With unleavened bread shall it be eaten in the holy place; in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation they shall eat it.

³ and gather you all the congregation together to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

³¹ And Moses said to Aaron and to his sons, Boil the flesh at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: And there eat it with the bread that is in the basket of consecrations, as I commanded, saying, "Aaron and his sons shall eat it.

¹⁷ why have you not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God has given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the LORD?

²² He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.

⁶ So the priest gave him hallowed bread: For there was no bread there but the show-bread, that was taken from before the LORD, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away.

¹² "But you all have profaned it, in that you all say, 'The table of the LORD is polluted; and its fruit, even His food, is contemptible.'

²⁶ How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the showbread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and also gave some to those who were with him?"

⁴ How he went into the house of God, took and ate the showbread, and also gave some to those that were with him; which is not lawful to eat except for the priests alone?"

³⁸ And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much domestic beasts.

⁴ And the mixed multitude that was among them fell a lusting: And the children of Israel also wept again, and said, "Who shall give us flesh to eat?

¹⁵ And moreover God said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, 'The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you: This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.'

²² And let them judge the people at all times: And it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring to you, but every small matter they shall judge: So it shall be easier for yourself, and they shall bear the burden with you.

²⁶ And they judged the people at all times: The hard causes they brought to Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves.

⁷ You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that takes His name in vain.

¹⁵ And you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, "Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin. ¹⁶ And he that blasphemes the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: As well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemes the name of the Lord, shall be put to death.

³³ And those that found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation. ³⁴ And they put him in the prison ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him. ³⁵ And the LORD said to Moses, "The man shall surely be put to death: All the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.

¹⁴ However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born to you shall surely die."

¹⁰ And set two men, sons of Belial, before him, to bear witness against him, saying, "You did blaspheme God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that he may die.

¹³ And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before him: And the men of Belial witnessed against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, "Naboth did blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died.

³⁰ Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, "The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.

³⁵ Who are they among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?

³⁷ Then came Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.

⁶ And Isaiah said to them, "Thus you shall say to your master, Thus says the LORD, Do not be afraid of the words which you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.

¹⁰ "Thus you shall speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, 'Do not let your God in Whom you trust deceive you, saying, "Jerusalem shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria."

²² Whom have you reproached and blasphemed? And against whom have you exalted your voice, and lifted up your eyes on high? Even against the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁴ Who was there among all the gods of those nations that my fathers utterly destroyed, that could deliver his people out of my hand, that your God should be able to deliver you out of my hand? ¹⁵ Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you on this manner, neither yet believe him: For no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of my hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: How much less shall your God deliver you out of my hand? ¹⁶ And his servants spoke yet more against the LORD God, and against his servant Hezekiah. ¹⁷ He wrote also letters to rail on the LORD God of Israel, and to speak against him, saying, "As the gods of the nations of other lands have not delivered their people out of my hand, so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver his people out of my hand.

⁵ And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: For Job said, "It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

¹¹ But put forth your hand now, and touch all that he has, and he will curse you to your face.

²² In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

⁵ But put forth your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse you to your face.

⁹ Then said his wife to him, Do you still retain your integrity? Curse God, and die. ¹⁰ But he said to her, "You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. What? Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

¹⁸ Remember this, that the enemy has reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed Your name.

²² Arise, O God, plead Your own cause: Remember how the foolish man reproaches You daily.

²¹ And they shall pass through it, severely distressed and hungry: And it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward.

⁶⁵ Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, "He has spoken blasphemy; what need do we have of any further witnesses? Behold, now you have heard His blasphemy.

¹¹ Then they suborned men, which said, "We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God." ¹² And they stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and caught him, and brought him to the council, ¹³ and set up false witnesses, which said, "This man does not cease to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law:

²⁴ For "The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you", as it is written.

¹³ who was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an injurious man: But I obtained mercy, because I did those things ignorantly in unbelief.

¹¹ and blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.

²¹ And there fell upon men a large hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: And men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague of this was exceedingly great.1 attic talent weighed 56 pounds 11 ounces English troy weight, or ~25.7 kilograms.

¹⁵ And Moses said to his father-in-law, "Because the people come to me to inquire of God: ¹⁶ When they have a matter, they come to me; and I judge between one and another, and I make them know the statutes of God, and His laws."

²³ If you shall do this thing, and God command you so, then you shall be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace."

³⁴ And they put him in the prison ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.

⁵ And Moses brought their cause before the LORD.

⁵ And Moses commanded the children of Israel according to the word of the LORD, saying, "The tribe of the sons of Joseph has said well. ⁶ This is the thing which the LORD does command concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, "Let them marry to whom they think best; only to the family of the tribe of their father shall they marry.

⁴⁶ All the days in which the plague shall be in him he shall be defiled; he is unclean: He shall dwell alone; outside the camp shall his habitation be.

² again, you shall say to the children of Israel, Whoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that gives any of his seed to Molech; he shall surely be put to death: The people of the land shall stone him with stones.

²⁷ A man also or woman that has a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: They shall stone them with stones: Their blood shall be on them.

² command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and everyone that has an issue, and whoever is defiled by the dead: ³ Both male and female shall you put out, outside the camp shall you put them; that they defile not their camps, in the middle whereof I dwell. ⁴ And the children of Israel did so, and put them out outside the camp: As the LORD spoke to Moses, so did the children of Israel.

³⁵ And the LORD said to Moses, "The man shall surely be put to death: All the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp. ³⁶ And all the congregation brought him outside the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses.

⁹ But you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first on him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. ¹⁰ And you shall stone him with stones, that he die; because he has sought to thrust you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

⁷ The hands of the witnesses shall be first on him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So you shall put the evil away from among you.

²¹ And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: So shall you put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.

²¹ Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: Because she has worked folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: So shall you put evil away from among you.

²⁵ And Joshua said, "Why have you troubled us? The LORD shall trouble you this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones.

⁵⁹ Then they took up stones to throw at Him: But Jesus hid Himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

³¹ Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. ³² Jesus answered them, "Many good works I have shown you from My Father; for which of those works do you stone Me?" ³³ The Jews answered Him, saying, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God."

⁵⁸ and cast him out of the city, and stoned him: And the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul. ⁵⁹ And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit."

²⁸ You shall not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of your people.gods; or, judges

¹ And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he has seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity.

¹⁶ And if a woman approach to any beast, and lie down thereto, you shall kill the woman, and the beast: They shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be on them. ¹⁷ And if a man shall take his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it is a wicked thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: He has uncovered his sister's nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.

¹³ But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and declines to keep the Passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: Because he brought not the offering of the LORD in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.

¹⁰ And set two men, sons of Belial, before him, to bear witness against him, saying, "You did blaspheme God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that he may die. ¹¹ And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who were the inhabitants in his city, did as Jezebel had sent to them, and as it was written in the letters which she had sent to them. ¹² They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people. ¹³ And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before him: And the men of Belial witnessed against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, "Naboth did blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died.

¹⁰ O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme Your name forever?

²⁰ For they speak against You wickedly, and Your enemies take Your name in vain.

³¹ Therefore I say to you, All forms of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men: But the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven men.

⁶⁶ What do you think?" They answered and said, "He is guilty of death."

²⁸ Truly I say to you, All sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whichever blasphemies they shall blaspheme: ²⁹ But he that blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation":

⁵⁸ Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, Before Abraham was, I AM." ⁵⁹ Then they took up stones to throw at Him: But Jesus hid Himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

³³ The Jews answered Him, saying, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God." ³⁴ Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law, 'I said, "You are gods" '? ³⁵ If He called them gods, to whom the Word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; ³⁶ do you say of Him, whom the Father has sanctified, and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming'; because I said, 'I am the Son of God'?

¹¹ And I punished them often in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly furious against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities.

⁷ Do they not blaspheme that worthy name by which you are called?

⁵ And surely your blood of your lives I will require; at the hand of every beast I will require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother I will require the life of man. ⁶ Whoever sheds man's blood, by man his blood shall be shed: For He made man in the image of God.

¹² He that smites a man, so that he dies, shall surely be put to death. ¹³ And if a man does not lie in wait, but God delivers him into his hand; then I will appoint you a place where he shall flee. ¹⁴ But if a man comes presumptuously upon his neighbor, to slay him with guile; you shall take him from My altar, that he may die.

³⁰ Whoever kills any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: But one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die. ³¹ Moreover you shall take no satisfaction for the life of a murderer, which is guilty of death: But he shall surely be put to death.

¹¹ But if any man hate his neighbor, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and flees into one of these cities: ¹² Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him there, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die.

²⁴ Cursed be he that smites his neighbor secretly. And all the people shall say, "Amen.

³⁴ the owner of the pit shall make it good, and give money to the owner of them; and the dead domestic beast shall be his. ³⁵ And if one man's ox hurt another's, that he dies; then they shall sell the live ox, and divide the money from it; and they shall also divide the dead ox. ³⁶ Or if it is known that the ox had used to push in time past, and his owner has not kept him in; he shall surely pay ox for ox; and the dead shall be his own.

²¹ And he that kills a beast, he shall restore it: And he that kills a man, he shall be put to death.

²¹ And your eye shall not pity; but life shall go for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.

³⁸ You have heard that it has been said, 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth':

² For with the judgment you judge, you shall be judged: And with what measure you use to measure, it shall be measured to you again.

²³ And if any mischief follows, then you shall give life for life, ²⁴ eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, ²⁵ burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

³³ And if a man shall open a pit, or if a man shall dig a pit, and not cover it, and an ox or a donkey falls in it;

¹⁷ And he that kills any man shall surely be put to death. ¹⁸ And he that kills a beast shall make it good; beast for beast.

⁴⁹ One law shall be to him that is home-born, And to the stranger that sojourns among you."

¹⁰ And whatever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eats any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people.

³⁴ But the stranger that dwells with you shall be to you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

¹⁴ And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the Passover to the LORD; according to the ordinance of the Passover, and according to its manner, so shall he do: You shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.

¹⁵ One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourns with you, an ordinance forever in your generations: As you are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD. ¹⁶ One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourns with you.

²⁹ You shall have one law for him that sins through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourns among them.

¹⁴ bring forth him that has cursed outside the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

² For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward; ³ how shall we escape, if we neglect such great salvation; which at first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those that heard Him;

²⁸ He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: ²⁹ Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, shall he be thought worthy, who has tread underfoot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has extreme malice toward the Spirit of grace?
