³⁴ and went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

²⁷ And as one of them opened his sack to give his donkey dry meal at the inn, he saw his money; for behold, it was in his sack's mouth.

²⁴ And it came to pass by the pathway, in the inn, that the LORD met him, and sought to kill him.

⁴ If you meet your enemy's ox or his donkey going astray, you shall surely bring it back to him again. ⁵ If you see the donkey of him who hates you lying under his burden, and would forbear to help him, you shall surely help him.

³ He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.

¹⁷ Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles: ¹⁸ Lest the LORD see it, and it displease Him, and He turns away His wrath from him.

²¹ If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink: ²² For you shall heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward you.

⁵ Why should you be stricken any more? You will revolt more and more: The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. ⁶ From the sole of the foot even to the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrefying sores: They have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.

⁴³ You have heard that it has been said, 'You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.' ⁴⁴ But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those that curse you, do good to those that hate you, and pray for those who despitefully use you, and persecute you; ⁴⁵ that you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: For He makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

⁸ She has done what she could: She has come beforehand to anoint My body for burial.

⁷ And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

²⁰ Therefore "If your enemy hungers, feed him; if he thirsts, give him a drink: For in so doing you shall heap coals of fire upon his head."

¹⁵ See that no one renders evil for evil to any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
