¹⁵ And let him who is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter in that place, to take anything out of his house:

¹⁵ And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, "Arise, take your wife, and your two daughters, which are here; lest you be consumed in the iniquity of the city." ¹⁶ And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful to him: And they brought him forth, and set him outside the city. ¹⁷ And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, "Escape for your life; do not look behind you, neither stay anywhere in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest you be consumed."

²² Make haste, escape to that city; for I cannot do anything until you have come to that place." Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

²⁶ But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

⁴ And Satan answered the LORD, and said, "Skin for skin, yes, all that a man has will he give for his life.

⁴ Do not give sleep to your eyes, nor slumber to your eyelids. ⁵ Deliver yourself as a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.

³ A prudent man foresees the evil, and hides himself: But the simple pass on, and are punished.

¹⁶ Then let those who are in Judea flee into the mountains: ¹⁷ Let him who is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house: ¹⁸ Neither let him who is in the field return back to take his clothes.

³¹ In that day, he who shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: And he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. ³² Remember Lot's wife. ³³ Whoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

¹⁸ And since we were exceedingly tossed with a tempest, the next day they lightened the ship; ¹⁹ And on the third day we threw the ship's tackle overboard with our own hands.

³⁸ Moreover, when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, and cast out the wheat into the sea.

⁷ But what things were gain to me, those I counted as losses for Christ. ⁸ Yes without doubt, and I count all things as loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: For whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as dung, that I may win Christ,

⁷ By faith Noah, being warned by God of things not yet seen, moved with fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his house; by which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
