⁴⁰ And a leper came to Him, beseeching Him, kneeling down to Him, and saying to Him, "If You are willing, You can make me clean."

¹⁴ Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."

¹ And the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, ² when a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, a scab, or bright spot, and it be in the skin of his flesh like the plague of leprosy; then he shall be brought to Aaron the priest, or to one of his sons the priests: ³ And the priest shall look on the plague in the skin of the flesh: And when the hair in the plague is turned white, and the plague in sight be deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of leprosy: And the priest shall look on him, and pronounce him unclean. ⁴ If the bright spot be white in the skin of his flesh, and in sight be not deeper than the skin, and its hair be not turned white; then the priest shall shut up him that has the plague seven days: ⁵ And the priest shall look on him the seventh day: And behold, if the plague in his sight be at a stay, and the plague spread not in the skin; then the priest shall shut him up seven days more: ⁶ And the priest shall look on him again the seventh day: And behold, if the plague be somewhat dark, and the plague spread not in the skin, the priest shall pronounce him clean: It is but a scab: And he shall wash his clothes, and be clean. ⁷ But if the scab spread much abroad in the skin, after that he has been seen of the priest for his cleansing, he shall be seen of the priest again. ⁸ And if the priest see that, behold, the scab spreads in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: It is a leprosy. ⁹ When the plague of leprosy is in a man, then he shall be brought to the priest; ¹⁰ and the priest shall see him: And behold, if the rising be white in the skin, and it have turned the hair white, and there be quick raw flesh in the rising; ¹¹ it is an old leprosy in the skin of his flesh, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean, and shall not shut him up: For he is unclean. ¹² And if a leprosy break out abroad in the skin, and the leprosy cover all the skin of him that has the plague from his head even to his foot, wherever the priest looks; ¹³ then the priest shall consider: And behold, if the leprosy have covered all his flesh, he shall pronounce him clean that has the plague: It is all turned white: He is clean. ¹⁴ But when raw flesh appears in him, he shall be unclean.

¹⁰ And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: And Aaron looked on Miriam, and behold, she was leprous. ¹¹ And Aaron said to Moses, "Alas, my lord, I beseech you, do not lay the sin on us, in which we have done foolishly, and in which we have sinned. ¹² Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb. ¹³ And Moses cried out to the LORD, saying, "Heal her now, O God, I beseech you. ¹⁴ And the LORD said to Moses, "If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again. ¹⁵ And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: And the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.

⁸ Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that you observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: As I commanded them, so you shall observe to do. ⁹ Remember what the LORD your God did to Miriam by the way, after that you were come forth out of Egypt.

²⁹ Let it rest on the head of Joab, and on all his father's house; and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that has an issue, or that is a leper, or that leans on a staff, or that falls on the sword, or that lacks bread.

⁵ And the king of Syria said, "Go to, go, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel. Let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel. ⁹ So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha. ¹⁰ And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, "Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall come again to you, and you shall be clean. ¹¹ But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, "Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper. ¹² Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? May I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage. ¹³ And his servants came near, and spoke to him, and said, "My father, if the prophet had bid you do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much rather then, when he said to you, Wash, and be clean? ¹⁴ Then he went down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: And his flesh came again like to the flesh of a little child, and he was clean. ¹⁵ And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: And he said, "Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: Now therefore, I implore you, take a blessing of your servant. ¹⁶ But he said, "As the LORD lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused. ¹⁷ And Naaman said, "Shall there not then, I implore you, be given to your servant two mules' burden of earth? For your servant will from now on offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice to other gods, but to the LORD. ¹⁸ In this thing the LORD pardon your servant, that when my master goes into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leans on my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon: When I bow down myself in the house of Rimmon, the LORD pardon your servant in this thing. ¹⁹ And he said to him, "Go in peace. So he departed from him a little way. ²⁰ But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, "Behold, my master has spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: But, as the LORD lives, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him. ²¹ So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him, and said, "Is all well? ²² And he said, "All is well. My master has sent me, saying, "Behold, even now there be come to me from Mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: Give them, I implore you, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments. ²³ And Naaman said, "Be content, take two talents. And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and laid them on two of his servants; and they bore them before him. ²⁴ And when he came to the tower, he took them from their hand, and bestowed them in the house: And he let the men go, and they departed. ²⁵ But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said to him, "From where come you, Gehazi? And he said, "Your servant went no where. ²⁶ And he said to him, "Went not my heart with you, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet you? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and olive groves, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants? ²⁷ The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall stick to you, and to your seed forever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.

³ And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: And they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?

⁵ And the LORD smote the king, so that he was a leper to the day of his death, and dwelled in a several house. And Jotham the king's son was over the house, judging the people of the land.

¹³ For Solomon had made a brazen scaffold of five cubits long, and five cubits wide, and three cubits high, and had set it in the middle of the court: And on it he stood, and kneeled down on his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven.

² And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, "Lord, if you are willing, You can make me clean." ³ And Jesus put forth His hand, and touched him, saying, "I will: You, be clean." And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. ⁴ And Jesus said to him, "See that you tell no man; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony to them."

⁵ The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

¹⁴ And when they had come to the multitude, a certain man came to Him, kneeling down to Him, and saying,

²² And oftentimes it has cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: But if You can do anything, have compassion on us, and help us." ²³ Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes."

¹⁷ And when He had gone forth into the roadway, there came one running, and he kneeled to Him, and asked Him, "Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?"

¹² And it came to pass, when He was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: Who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and implored Him, saying, "Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean." ¹³ Then He put forth His hand, and touched him, saying, "I will: You, be clean." And immediately the leprosy departed from him. ¹⁴ And He charged him to tell no one: "But go, and show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing, according to how Moses commanded, for a testimony to them."

¹² Then, as He entered into a certain village, there met Him ten men that were lepers, who stood afar off. ¹³ And they lifted up their voices, and said, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us." ¹⁴ And when He saw them, He said to them, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And it came to pass, that as they went, they were cleansed. ¹⁵ And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, ¹⁶ and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks: And he was a Samaritan. ¹⁷ And Jesus responding said, "Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? ¹⁸ There are not any found that returned to give glory to God, except this stranger." ¹⁹ And said to him, "Arise, go your way: Your faith has made you whole."

⁴¹ And He was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and knelt down, and prayed,

⁶⁰ Moreover he knelt down, and cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not lay this sin upon their debt." And when he had said this, he died.

¹⁴ For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
