³ Commit your works to the LORD, and your thoughts shall be established.

⁸ I would seek to God, and to God would I commit my cause:

²⁸ You shall also decree a thing, and it shall be established to you: And the light shall shine on your ways.

⁴ Delight yourself also in the LORD: And He shall give you the desires of your heart. ⁵ Commit your way to the LORD; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.

²² Cast your burden upon the LORD, and He shall sustain you: He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

⁶ In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

⁵ Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against you', saying, ⁶ 'Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach in it for us, and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeal:'" ⁷ Thus says the Lord GOD, "It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.

²⁵ Therefore I say to you, Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor even for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ²⁶ Behold the birds of the air: For they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much better than they? ²⁷ Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit to his stature?1 Roman cubit is approximately 17.4 inches, or 44.2 centimeters. ²⁸ Then why do you have cares pertaining to clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they do not toil, neither do they spin: ²⁹ And yet I say to you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. ³⁰ Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? ³¹ Therefore take no thought, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or, 'What shall we drink?' or, 'With what shall we be clothed?' ³² (For the Gentiles seek after all these things:) For your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. ³³ But you, seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you. ³⁴ Therefore take no thought concerning tomorrow: For tomorrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil of it.

²² And He said to His disciples, "Therefore I say to you, Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat; neither for the body, what you shall put on.

⁶ Do not be full of care for anything; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

⁷ Casting all your care upon Him; for He cares for you.
