¹⁴ The king that faithfully judges the poor, his throne shall be established forever.

¹¹ When the ear heard me, then it blessed me; and when the eye saw me, it gave witness to me: ¹² Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him. ¹³ The blessing of him that was ready to perish came on me: And I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. ¹⁴ I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: My judgment was as a robe and a diadem. ¹⁵ I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame. ¹⁶ I was a father to the poor: And the cause which I did not know I searched out. ¹⁷ And I broke the jaws of the wicked, and plucked the spoil out of his teeth. ¹⁸ Then I said, "I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply my days as the sand.

² He shall judge Your people with righteousness, and Your poor with judgment. ³ The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness. ⁴ He shall judge the poor of the people, He shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.

¹² For He shall deliver the needy when he cries; the poor also, and him that has no helper. ¹³ He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy. ¹⁴ He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: And their blood shall be precious in his sight.

² How long will you judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah. ³ Defend the poor and fatherless: Do justice to the afflicted and needy.

² For I have said, "Mercy shall be built up forever: You shall establish Your faithfulness in the very heavens."

¹² It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: For the throne is established by righteousness.

²⁸ Mercy and truth preserve the king: And his throne is upheld by mercy.

⁵ Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.

¹⁶ The prince that wants understanding is also a great oppressor: But he that hates covetousness shall prolong his days.

⁴ The king by judgment establishes the land: But he that receives gifts overthrows it.

¹⁷ learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

⁶ For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given: And the government shall be upon His shoulder: And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. ⁷ Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from now on even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

⁴ But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: And he shall smite the earth: With the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall slay the wicked.

²⁸ They are waxen fat, they shine: Yes, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: They do not judge the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy they do not judge.

¹⁶ He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well with him: Was not this known to me?" said the LORD.

²⁷ Therefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable to you, and break off your sins by righteousness, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of your tranquility."

³² He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: And the Lord God shall give to Him the throne of His father David: ³³ And He shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of His kingdom there shall be no end."

⁸ But to the Son He says, "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever: A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. ⁹ You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your fellows."
