²² His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be held with the cords of his sins.

²³ But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against the LORD: And be sure your sin will find you out.

¹⁵ He made a pit, and dug it, and has fallen into the ditch which he made. ¹⁶ His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own scalp.

¹⁵ The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: Their own foot is caught in the net which they hid.

¹⁸ And they lay in wait for their own blood; they lurk privately for their own lives.

³¹ Therefore they shall eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. ³² For the backsliding of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.

³ The integrity of the upright shall guide them: But the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

⁵ The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: But the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

²⁶ And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as fetters: Whoever pleases God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.

¹⁹ Your own wickedness shall correct you, and your backslidings shall reprove you: Know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that you have forsaken the LORD your God, and that My fear is not in you", said the Lord GOD of hosts.

¹¹ Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the heart. ¹² My people ask counsel from their wooden idols, and their wooden staff declares to them: For the spirit of whoredoms has caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God. ¹³ They sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and burn incense upon the hills, under oaks and poplars and elms, because its shadow is good: Therefore your daughters shall commit whoredom, and your spouses shall commit adultery. ¹⁴ I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: For they themselves are separated with whores, and they sacrifice with harlots: Therefore the people that do not understand shall fall.

⁹ I wrote to you in a letter not to keep company with fornicators: ¹⁰ Yet not completely with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then you would need to go out of the world.

¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh are apparent, which are these: Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, ²⁰ idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, ²¹ envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, as I have also told you in time past, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

⁷ Do not be deceived; God is not mocked: For whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap. ⁸ For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

⁵ For this you know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. ⁶ Let no man deceive you with vain words: For because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the children of disobedience.

⁴ Marriage is honorable in everyone, and the bed undefiled: But whore-mongers and adulterers God will judge.
