³¹ Cast away all your transgressions from you, by which you have transgressed; and make yourself a new heart and a new spirit: For why will you die, O house of Israel?

¹¹ Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the heart. ¹² My people ask counsel from their wooden idols, and their wooden staff declares to them: For the spirit of whoredoms has caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God.

⁹ O Israel, you have destroyed yourself; but in Me is your help.

²² Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, ²³ and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made in likeness to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things. ²⁴ Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:

⁴ Marriage is honorable in everyone, and the bed undefiled: But whore-mongers and adulterers God will judge.
