¹ Praise the LORD. Praise, O you servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. ² Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and forevermore. ³ From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same the LORD'S name is to be praised. ⁴ The LORD is high above all nations, and His glory above the heavens. ⁵ Who is like the LORD our God, Who dwells on high, ⁶ who humbles himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth! ⁷ He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the dunghill; ⁸ that He may set Him with princes, even with the princes of his people. ⁹ He makes the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise the LORD.

¹ Rejoice in the LORD, O all you righteous: For praise is becoming of the upright. ² Praise the LORD with harp: Sing to Him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

²² The LORD redeems the soul of His servants: And none of those that trust in Him shall be desolate.

³⁶ The seed of His servants also shall inherit it: And those that love His name shall dwell in it.

²⁰ Bless the LORD, you His angels, that excel in strength, that do His commandments, hearkening to the voice of His word. ²¹ Bless the LORD, all you His hosts; you ministers of His, that do His pleasure.

¹ Praise the LORD. Blessed is the man that fears the LORD, that delights greatly in His commandments.

¹ A Song of degrees. Behold, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, that stand by night in the house of the LORD.

⁹ All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O LORD; and shall glorify Your name.

¹⁹ So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

¹⁴ For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

¹¹ For from the rising of the sun even to the going down of the same, My name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered to My name, and a pure offering: For My name shall be great among the heathen", says the LORD of hosts.

⁹ And that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy; as it is written, "For this reason I will confess to You among the Gentiles, and sing to Your name." ¹⁰ And again he said, "Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people."

¹⁵ Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign forever and ever."

²⁷ But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain you; how much less this house that I have built?

¹ To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm of David. O LORD our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory above the heavens.

¹⁰ For Your mercy is great to the heavens, and Your truth to the clouds. ¹¹ Be exalted, O God, above the heavens: Let Your glory be above all the earth.

⁹ for You, LORD, are high above all the earth: You are exalted far above all gods.

² The LORD is great in Zion, and He is high above all the people.

¹⁵ Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: Behold, He takes up the isles as a very little thing.

¹⁷ All nations before Him are as nothing; and they are counted to Him less than nothing, and vanity.

²² It is He who sits on the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are as grasshoppers; that stretches out heaven as a curtain, and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in:

¹ Thus says the LORD, "The heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool: Where is the house that you build to Me? And where is the place of My rest?

¹¹ Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

²⁶ There is none like to the God of Jeshurun, who rides on the heaven in your help, and in his excellency on the sky.

¹⁰ All my bones shall say, "LORD, who is like You, which delivers the poor from him that is too strong for him, yes, the poor and the needy from him that plunders him?

⁶ For who in the heaven can be compared to the LORD? Who among the sons of the mighty can be likened to the LORD?

⁸ O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like you? Or to Your faithfulness all around You?

¹⁹ The LORD has prepared His throne in heavens; and His kingdom rules over all.

⁵ And in mercy the throne shall be established: And He shall sit on it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hastening righteousness.

¹⁸ To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to Him?

²⁵ "To whom then will you liken Me, or to whom shall I be equal?" said the Holy One.

⁶ For as much as there is none like to You, O LORD; You are great, and Your name is great in might.

¹⁸ Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with folly:

¹⁵ Behold, he puts no trust in his saints; yes, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

⁴ The LORD is in His holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: His eyes behold and His eyelids examine the children of men.

⁶ Though the LORD is high, yet He has respect to the lowly: But the proud He knows afar off.

² Above it stood the seraphim: Each one had six wings; with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.

¹⁵ For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

² For all those things My hand has made, and all those things have been in existence", said the LORD: "but to this man I will look, even to him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembles at My word.

⁷ The LORD makes poor, and makes rich: He brings low, and lifts up. ⁸ He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: For the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, and He has set the world upon them.

¹⁴ After whom has the king of Israel come out? After whom do you pursue? After a dead dog, after a flea.

⁸ Now therefore so shall you say to my servant David, Thus says the LORD of hosts, I took you from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel: ⁹ And I was with you wherever you went, and have cut off all your enemies out of your sight, and have made you a great name, like to the name of the great men that are in the earth.

⁸ And he took him a broken clay pot fragment to scrape himself with; and he sat down among the ashes.

¹¹ To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety.

¹⁵ But he saves the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty. ¹⁶ So the poor has hope, and iniquity stops her mouth.

⁶ For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. ⁷ But God is the judge: He puts down one, and sets up another.

⁴¹ Yet He sets the poor on high from affliction, and makes him families like a flock.

¹⁹ Your dead men shall live, together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust: For your dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

²⁴ And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done it."

²⁶ Thus says the Lord GOD; "Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: This shall not be the same: Exalt him who is low, and abase him who is high. ²⁷ I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: And it shall be no more, until He come whose right it is; and I will give it Him." '

² And many of those that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. ³ And those who are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and those who turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.

⁵² He has put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted those of low degree. ⁵³ He has filled the hungry with good things; and the rich He has sent away empty.

³¹ he foreseeing this beforehand, spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that His soul was not left in hell, neither did His flesh see corruption. ³² This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses. ³³ Therefore being exalted by the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has shed forth this, which you now see and hear.

²⁰ which He worked in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

⁵ Hearken, my beloved brethren, has not God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He has promised to those that love Him?

²¹ This is likewise a figure of even baptism, which does now also save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: ²² Who has gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject to Him.

⁴¹ And Pharaoh said to Joseph, "See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt."

²¹ And Isaac entreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: And the LORD was entreated by way of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

²² And God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her, and opened her womb. ²³ And she conceived, and bore a son; and said, "God has taken away my reproach":

⁵ Those that were full have hired themselves out for bread; and those that were hungry have ceased to hunger: So that the barren has borne seven; and she that has many children is waxed feeble.

⁶ God sets the solitary in families: He brings out those which are bound with chains: But the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

¹ "Sing, O barren, you who did not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you who did not travail with child: For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife", said the LORD.

¹³ But the angel said to him, "Do not fear, Zacharias: For your prayer is heard; and your wife Elisabeth shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. ¹⁴ And you shall have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. ¹⁵ For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb.

²⁷ For it is written, "Rejoice, you barren that do not bear; break forth and cry, you that do not travail: For the desolate has many more children than she which has a husband."
