¹ All you praise the LORD: For it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is becoming. ² The LORD builds up Jerusalem: He gathers together the outcasts of Israel. ³ He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. ⁴ He tells the number of the stars; He calls them all by their names. ⁵ Great is our LORD, and of great power: His understanding is infinite. ⁶ The LORD lifts up the meek: He casts the wicked down to the ground. ⁷ Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praises upon the harps to our God: ⁸ Who covers the heaven with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow upon the mountains. ⁹ He gives to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry. ¹⁰ He delights not in the strength of the horse: He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man. ¹¹ The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those that hope in His mercy. ¹² Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise your God, O Zion, ¹³ for He has strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed your children within you. ¹⁴ He makes peace within your borders, and fills you with the finest of the wheat. ¹⁵ He sends forth His commandment upon earth: His word runs very swiftly. ¹⁶ He gives snow like wool: He scatters the hoarfrost like ashes. ¹⁷ He casts forth His ice like morsels: Who can stand before His cold? ¹⁸ He sends out His word, and melts them: He causes His wind to blow, and the waters flow. ¹⁹ He shows His word to Jacob, His statutes and His judgments to Israel. ²⁰ He has not dealt so with any other nation: And as for his judgments, they have not known them. All you praise the LORD.

¹ Rejoice in the LORD, O all you righteous: For praise is becoming of the upright.

⁴ When I remember these things, I pour out my soul within me: For I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept the holy day.

³ Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You. ⁴ Thus I will bless You while I live: I will lift up my hands in Your name. ⁵ My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips:

¹ A Psalm or Song for the Sabbath Day. It is a good thing to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High:

¹ A Song of degrees of David. I was glad when they said to me, "Let us go into the house of the LORD." ² Our feet shall stand within your gates, O Jerusalem. ³ Jerusalem is built as a city that is closely and firmly joined together: ⁴ Where the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, to the testimony of Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.

³ praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: Sing praises to His name; for it is pleasant.

⁹ And they sang a new song, saying, "You are worthy to take the book, and to open its seals: For You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation; ¹⁰ and have made us kings and priests to our God: And we shall reign on the earth." ¹¹ Then I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels all around the throne, and the beasts, and the elders: And the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; ¹² saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing." ¹³ And I heard every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, saying, "Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be to Him that sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb forever and ever." ¹⁴ And the four beasts said, "Amen." And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him that lives forever and ever.

¹ And after these things I heard a great voice of many people in heaven, saying, "Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honor, and power, to the Lord our God: ² For His judgments are true and righteous: For He has judged the great whore, which corrupted the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of His servants at her hand." ³ And again they said, "Alleluia. And her smoke rose up forever and ever." ⁴ And the twenty-four elders and the four beasts fell down and worshiped God that sat on the throne, saying, "Amen; Alleluia." ⁵ Then a voice came out of the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all you His servants, and you that fear Him, both small and great." ⁶ And I heard as it were the voice of a large multitude, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia: For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns.

³ that then the LORD your God will turn your captivity, and have compassion on you, and will return and gather you from all the nations, where the LORD your God has scattered you.

⁶⁴ The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and three score, ⁶⁵ beside their servants and their maids, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred and thirty-seven: And there were among them two hundred singing men and singing women.

¹ Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brothers the priests, and they built the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even to the tower of Meah they sanctified it, to the tower of Hananeel. ² And next to him built the men of Jericho. And next to them built Zaccur the son of Imri. ³ But the fish gate did the sons of Hassenaah build, who also laid its beams, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars. ⁴ And next to them repaired Meremoth the son of Urijah, the son of Koz. And next to them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabeel. And next to them repaired Zadok the son of Baana. ⁵ And next to them the Tekoites repaired; but their nobles put not their necks to the work of their LORD. ⁶ Moreover the old gate repaired Jehoiada the son of Paseah, and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah; they laid its beams, and set up its doors, and its locks, and its bars. ⁷ And next to them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, to the throne of the governor on this side the river. ⁸ Next to him repaired Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, of the goldsmiths. Next to him also repaired Hananiah the son of one of the apothecaries, and they fortified Jerusalem to the broad wall. ⁹ And next to them repaired Rephaiah the son of Hur, the ruler of the half part of Jerusalem. ¹⁰ And next to them repaired Jedaiah the son of Harumaph, even in front of his house. And next to him repaired Hattush the son of Hashabniah. ¹¹ Malchijah the son of Harim, and Hashub the son of Pahathmoab, repaired the other piece, and the tower of the furnaces. ¹² And next to him repaired Shallum the son of Halohesh, the ruler of the half part of Jerusalem, he and his daughters. ¹³ The valley gate repaired Hanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoah; they built it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and a thousand cubits on the wall to the dung gate. ¹⁴ But the dung gate repaired Malchiah the son of Rechab, the ruler of part of Bethhaccerem; he built it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars. ¹⁵ But the gate of the fountain repaired Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of part of Mizpah; he built it, and covered it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and the wall of the pool of Siloah by the king's garden, and to the stairs that go down from the city of David. ¹⁶ After him repaired Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of the half part of Bethzur, to the place in front of the sepulchers of David, and to the pool that was made, and to the house of the mighty.

⁴ Now the city was large and great: But the people were few in it, and the houses were not built.

¹⁸ Do good to Zion in your good pleasure: Build the walls of Jerusalem.

¹³ You shall arise, and have mercy upon Zion: For the time to favor her, yes, the set time has come, ¹⁴ for Your servants take pleasure in her stones, and favor her dust. ¹⁵ So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth Your glory. ¹⁶ When the LORD shall build up Zion, He shall appear in His glory.

²⁰ to hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death; ²¹ to declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and His praise in Jerusalem; ²² when the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.

¹¹ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. ¹² And He shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

³² What then shall one answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD has founded Zion, and the poor of His people shall take refuge in it.

¹³ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

⁸ The Lord GOD, who gathers the outcasts of Israel said, "Yet will I gather others to him, besides those who are gathered to him."

⁷ and give Him no rest, until he establishes, and until He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

⁴ Again I will build you, and you shall be built, O virgin of Israel: You shall be adorned with your tabrets again, and shall go forth in the dances of those who make merry.

³⁷ 'Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, where I have driven them in My anger, and in My fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:

²⁴ For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. ²⁵ Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean: I will cleanse you from all your filthiness, and from all your idols. ²⁶ I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you: And I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. ²⁷ And I will put My spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments, and do them. ²⁸ And you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and you shall be My people, and I will be your God. ²⁹ I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: And I will call for the grain, and will increase it, and lay no famine on you. ³⁰ And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that you shall no longer receive the reproach of famine among the heathen. ³¹ Then you shall remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations. ³² I do not do this for your sakes", said the Lord GOD, "be it known to you: Be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel." ³³ Thus says the Lord GOD; "In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the waste places shall be built. ³⁴ And the desolate land shall be tilled, instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who passed by. ³⁵ And they shall say, 'This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate places and ruined cities have become fenced, and are inhabited." ³⁶ Then the heathen who are left all around you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant that which was desolate: I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it." ³⁷ Thus says the Lord GOD; "For this I will yet be inquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock. ³⁸ As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: And they shall know that I am the LORD." ' "

²¹ And say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, where they have gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: ²² And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: And they shall no longer be two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all. ²³ Neither shall they defile themselves with their idols any more, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: But I will save them out of all their dwelling places, in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them: So shall they be My people, and I will be their God. ²⁴ And David My servant shall be king over them; and they shall all have one shepherd: They shall also walk in My judgments, and observe My statutes, and do them. ²⁵ And they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, in which your fathers have dwelled; and they shall dwell in it, even they and their children, and their children's children forever: And My servant David shall be their prince forever. ²⁶ Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: And I will place them, and multiply them, and will set My sanctuary in the midst of them forevermore. ²⁷ My tabernacle also shall be with them: Yes, I will be their God, and they shall be My people. ²⁸ And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary shall be in the midst of them forevermore." ' "

⁸ After many days you shall be visited: In the latter years you shall come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have always been waste: But it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely, all of them.

²⁷ When I have brought them back again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations; ²⁸ then they shall know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: But I have gathered them to their own land, and have left none of them there any more.

²⁵ Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem to the Messiah the Prince, shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks: The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

¹⁸ And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this Rock you declared I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

¹² because at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: ¹³ But now in Christ Jesus you who sometimes were far off are brought near by the blood of Christ. ¹⁴ For He is our peace, who has made both [Jew and Gentile] one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation between us; ¹⁵ having abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; so as to make in Himself from two one new man, thus making peace; ¹⁶ and that He might reconcile both to God in one body by the cross, having thereby slain the enmity: ¹⁷ And came and preached peace to you who were afar off, and to those that were near. ¹⁸ For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. ¹⁹ Now therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

¹⁸ For he makes sore, and binds up: He wounds, and his hands make whole.

¹⁸ The LORD is near to those that are of a broken heart; and saves such as are of a contrite spirit.

¹⁷ The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.

⁵ Why should you be stricken any more? You will revolt more and more: The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. ⁶ From the sole of the foot even to the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrefying sores: They have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.

¹⁵ For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

¹ The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings to the meek; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

⁶ Behold, I will bring it health and healing, and I will cure them, and will reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.

¹⁶ "I will seek those who were lost, and bring back those who were driven away, and will bind up those who were broken, and will strengthen those who were sick: But I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.

¹ Come, and let us return to the LORD: For He has torn, and He will heal us; He has smitten, and He will bind us up. ² After two days He will revive us: On the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight.

² But to you that fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; and you all shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

¹⁸ "The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are bruised,

⁵ And he brought him forth abroad, and said, "Look now toward heaven, and count the stars, if you are able to number them": And He said to him, "So shall your seed be."

³ When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained;

³ Praise Him, sun and moon: Praise Him, all you stars of light.

²⁶ Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who has created these things, who brings out their host by number: He calls them all by names by the greatness of His might, for that He is strong in power; not one fails.

²⁵ For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: He also is to be feared above all gods.

⁵ Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works which You have done, and Your thoughts which are toward us: They cannot be recounted in order to You: If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

¹ A Song and Psalm for the sons of Korah. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of His holiness.

⁴ For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: He is to be feared above all gods.

² The LORD is great in Zion, and He is high above all the people.

⁵ For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.

¹⁷ How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! ¹⁸ If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: When I awake, I am still with You.

³ Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable.

²⁸ Have you not known? Have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint, nor is weary? There is no searching of His understanding.

⁶ For as much as there is none like to You, O LORD; You are great, and Your name is great in might.

¹⁷ 'Ah Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heaven and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm, and there is nothing too hard for you: ¹⁸ You show lovingkindness to thousands, and recompense the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: The Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is His name, ¹⁹ great in counsel, and mighty in work: For Your eyes are open on all the ways of the sons of men: To give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:

³ The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: The LORD has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet.

³³ O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!

³ And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are Your ways, You King of saints.

⁸ He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: For the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, and He has set the world upon them.

⁹ The meek He will guide in judgment: And He will teach the meek His way.

¹¹ But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

²³ But you, O God, shall bring them down into the pit of destruction: Bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in You.

¹⁸ Surely you have set them in slippery places: You cast them down into destruction. ¹⁹ How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors.

¹⁴ The LORD upholds all who fall, and raises up all those that are bowed down.

⁸ The LORD opens the eyes of the blind: The LORD raises those who are bowed down: The LORD loves the righteous: ⁹ The LORD preserves the strangers; He relieves the fatherless and widow: But the way of the wicked He turns upside down.

⁴ For the LORD takes pleasure in His people: He will beautify the meek with salvation.

³ Seek the LORD, all you meek of the earth, which have worked His judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: It may be you all shall be hid in the day of the LORD's anger.

⁵ Blessed are the meek: For they shall inherit the earth.

¹⁰ Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.

⁴ but let it be the hidden woman of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is of great value in the sight of God.

⁶ Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time:

⁴ For if God did not spare the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; ⁵ and did not spare the old world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; ⁶ and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example to those that afterward would live ungodly; ⁷ and delivered just Lot, who was vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: ⁸ (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds); ⁹ the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust for the day of judgment to be punished:

²⁰ And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand; and all the women went out after her with tambourines and with dances. ²¹ And Miriam answered them, "Sing to the LORD, for He has triumphed gloriously; He has thrown the horse and his rider into the sea."

⁶ Sing praises to God, sing praises: Sing praises to our King, sing praises. ⁷ For God is the King of all the earth: Sing praises with understanding.

³² Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises to the Lord; Selah:

¹ A Psalm or Song for the Sabbath Day. It is a good thing to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High: ² To show forth Your lovingkindness in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night, ³ upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.

¹ O come, let us sing to the LORD: Let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation. ² Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise to Him with psalms.

²¹ Oh that men would praise the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! ²² And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with rejoicing.

⁸ And when He had taken the book, the four beasts and twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, every one of them having harps, and golden vials full of incense, which are the prayers of saints. ⁹ And they sang a new song, saying, "You are worthy to take the book, and to open its seals: For You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation; ¹⁰ and have made us kings and priests to our God: And we shall reign on the earth."

¹⁴ And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:

⁴⁴ And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, "Behold, there rises a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said, "Go up, say to Ahab, Prepare your chariot, and get yourself down that the rain stop you not. ⁴⁵ And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.

¹⁰ Who gives rain upon the earth, and sends waters upon the fields:

⁸ He binds up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them. ⁹ He holds back the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud on it.

²⁷ For he makes small the drops of water: They pour down rain according to its vapor: ²⁸ Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly. ²⁹ Also can any understand the spreading of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle? ³⁰ Behold, he spreads his light on it, and covers the bottom of the sea. ³¹ For by them judges he the people; he gives meat in abundance. ³² With clouds he covers the light; and commands it not to shine by the cloud that comes between. ³³ The noise of it shows concerning it, the domestic beasts also concerning the vapor.

²⁴ By what way is the light parted, which scatters the east wind on the earth? ²⁵ Who has divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder; ²⁶ to cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, in which there is no man; ²⁷ to satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?

⁹ You visit the earth, and water it: You greatly enrich it with the river of God, which is full of water: You prepare them grain, when You have so provided for it. ¹⁰ You water its ridges abundantly: You settle its furrows: You make it soft with showers: You bless its springing. ¹¹ You crown the year with Your goodness; and Your paths drop fatness. ¹² They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: And the little hills rejoice on every side. ¹³ The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys are also covered over with grain; they shout for joy, they also sing.

¹³ He waters the hills from His chambers: The earth is satisfied with the fruit of Your works. ¹⁴ He causes the grass to grow for the domestic beasts, and herbs for the service of man: That he may bring forth food out of the earth;

¹ Praise the LORD. Praise the name of the LORD; praise Him, O you servants of the LORD.

⁶ And I will lay it waste: It shall not be pruned, nor dug; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain on it.

²² Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? Or can heaven give showers? Are you not He, O LORD our God? Therefore we will wait on you: For you have made all these things.

²³ Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: For He has given you the former rain moderately, and He will cause the rain to come down for you, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

⁷ You who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off righteousness in the earth, ⁸ seek Him that makes the seven stars and Orion, and turns the shadow of death into the morning, and makes the day dark with night: That calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is His name:

⁴⁵ that you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: For He makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

¹⁷ Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness."

¹⁷ Elijah was a man subject to similar passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: And it did not rain on the earth for a period of three years and six months. ¹⁸ And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

⁴¹ Who provides for the raven his food? When his young ones cry to God, they wander for lack of meat.

²⁷ These all wait upon You; that You may give them their food in due season. ²⁸ That which you give them they gather: You open Your hand, they are filled with good.

²⁵ Who gives food to all flesh: For His mercy endures forever.

¹⁵ The eyes of all wait upon You; and You give them their food in due season. ¹⁶ You open Your hand, and satisfy the desire of every living thing.

²⁶ Behold the birds of the air: For they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much better than they?

²⁴ Consider the ravens: For they neither sow nor reap; which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them: How much more are you better than the birds?

⁷ But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look on his countenance, nor on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart."

²³ Saul and Jonathan were lovely and pleasant in their lives, and in their death they were not divided: They were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions.

¹⁸ And there were three sons of Zeruiah there, Joab, and Abishai, and Asahel: And Asahel was as light of foot as a wild roe. ¹⁹ And Asahel pursued after Abner; and in going he turned not to the right hand nor to the left from following Abner. ²⁰ Then Abner looked behind him, and said, "Are you Asahel? And he answered, I am. ²¹ And Abner said to him, "Turn aside to your right hand or to your left, and lay you hold on one of the young men, and take you his armor. But Asahel would not turn aside from following of him. ²² And Abner said again to Asahel, Turn aside from following me: Why should I smite you to the ground? How then should I hold up my face to Joab your brother? ²³ However, he refused to turn aside: Why Abner with the hinder end of the spear smote him under the fifth rib, that the spear came out behind him; and he fell down there, and died in the same place: And it came to pass, that as many as came to the place where Asahel fell down and died stood still.

¹⁹ Have you given the horse strength? Have you clothed his neck with thunder? ²⁰ Can you make him afraid as a grasshopper? The glory of his nostrils is terrible. ²¹ He paws in the valley, and rejoices in his strength: He goes on to meet the armed men. ²² He mocks at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turns he back from the sword. ²³ The quiver rattles against him, the glittering spear and the shield. ²⁴ He swallows the ground with fierceness and rage: Neither believes he that it is the sound of the trumpet. ²⁵ He said among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smells the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.

⁷ Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

¹⁶ There is no king saved by the multitude of an army: A mighty man is not delivered by much strength. ¹⁷ A horse is a vain thing for safety: Neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. ¹⁸ Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon those that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy;

³¹ The horse is prepared against the day of battle: But safety is of the LORD.

¹¹ I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all.

¹ Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they do not look to the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!

⁷ But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen."

¹⁸ Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon those that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy;

²² Let your mercy be upon us accordingly, O LORD, as we hope in You.

²⁷ Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: Yes, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.

²⁰ Those that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: But such as are upright in their way are His delight.

³⁰ Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: But a woman that fears the LORD, she shall be praised.

⁴ You shall no longer be termed Forsaken; neither shall your land any more be termed Desolate: But you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah: For the LORD delights in you, and your land shall be married.

¹⁷ The LORD your God is mighty in the midst of you; He will save, He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest in His love, He will joy over you with singing."

¹⁶ Then those that feared the LORD spoke to one another often: And the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those that feared the LORD, and that thought upon His name. ¹⁷ "And they shall be Mine", says the LORD of hosts, "in that day when I make up My jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spares his own son that serves him."

¹³ Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

¹⁷ And if you call on the Father, who without reverence of persons judges according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

¹⁹ Bless the LORD, O house of Israel: Bless the LORD, O house of Aaron: ²⁰ Bless the LORD, O house of Levi: You that fear the LORD, bless the LORD. ²¹ Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, Which dwells at Jerusalem. Praise the LORD.

¹⁰ The LORD shall reign forever, even your God, O Zion, to all generations. All you praise the LORD.

² Let Israel rejoice in Him that made him: Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

⁶ Cry out and shout, you inhabitant of Zion: For great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of you.

⁷ How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good tidings, who publishes peace; who brings good tidings of good, who publishes salvation; who said to Zion, "Your God reigns!"

¹ Now it came to pass when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and Geshem the Arabian, and the rest of our enemies, heard that I had built the wall, and that there was no breach left in it; (though at that time I had not set up the doors on the gates);

¹ Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,

³ And I said to them, "Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: And appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be in front of his house.

³⁰ And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.

¹¹ Let Mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of Your judgments. ¹² Walk about Zion, and go all around her: Count her towers. ¹³ Mark well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that you may tell it to the generation following. ¹⁴ For this God is our God forever and ever: He will be our guide even to death.

¹⁴ The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children. ¹⁵ You are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth.

² As the mountains are all around Jerusalem, so the LORD is all around His people from this time forward, even forever.

³ Your wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of your house: Your children like olive plants all around your table. ⁴ Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the LORD. ⁵ The LORD shall bless you out of Zion: And you shall see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life. ⁶ Yes, you shall see your children's children, and peace upon Israel.

¹² That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the likeness of a palace:

³ For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground: I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring: ⁴ And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses. ⁵ One shall say, 'I am the LORD's'; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand to the LORD, and surname himself by the name of Israel.

¹⁹ And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry: And I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small. ²⁰ Their children also shall be as in former time, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all who oppress them.

⁸ The LORD has purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion: He has outstretched a line, He has not withdrawn His hand from destroying: Therefore He made the rampart and the wall to lament; they languished together. ⁹ Her gates are sunk into the ground; He has destroyed and broken her bars: Her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: The law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the LORD.

¹² The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy would have entered into the gates of Jerusalem.

³ Thus says the LORD; 'I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: And Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.' ⁴ Thus says the LORD of hosts; 'There shall yet dwell old men and old women in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand on account of great age. ⁵ And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in those streets.'

⁴² saying, "If you had known, even you, at least in this day, the things which relate to your peace! But now they are hid from your eyes. ⁴³ For the days shall come upon you, that your enemies shall cast a trench around you, surround you, and keep you in on every side, ⁴⁴ and shall level you even with the ground, and your children within you; and they shall not leave one stone upon another in you; because you did not know the time of your visitation."

⁶ And I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: And I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.

⁷ For the LORD your God brings you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills; ⁸ A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of olive oil, and honey;

¹⁴ butter of cows, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and you did drink the pure blood of the grape.

⁹ Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies all around: For his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.

¹¹ The LORD will give strength to His people; the LORD will bless His people with peace.

¹⁶ He would have also fed them with the finest of the wheat: And with honey out of the rock I would have satisfied them."

⁶ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "They shall prosper that love you.

¹¹ The LORD has sworn in truth to David; He will not turn from it; "From the fruit of your body I will set kings upon the throne.

¹⁵ I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.

⁶ For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given: And the government shall be upon His shoulder: And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. ⁷ Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from now on even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

¹⁷ For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood, brass, and for stones, iron: I will also appoint peace as your officers, and righteousness as your exactors. ¹⁸ Violence shall no longer be heard in your land, neither wasting nor destruction within your borders; but you shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise.

¹² For thus says the LORD, "Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: Then you shall suck, you shall be borne on her sides, and be dandled on her knees.

¹⁷ Judah and the land of Israel were your merchants: They traded in your market wheat from Minnith, and Pannag, and honey, and oil, and balm.

⁸ And I will encamp around My house because of the army, because of him that passes by, and because of him that returns: And no oppressor shall pass through them any more: For now I have seen with My eyes.

²⁹ When he gives quietness, who then can make trouble? And when he hides his face, who then can behold him? Whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:

¹² And it is turned all around by his counsels: That they may do whatever he commands them on the face of the world in the earth.

⁹ For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.

¹¹ The Lord gave the word: Great was the company of those that published it.

²⁰ He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

²⁵ For He commanded, and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves of the sea.

⁴ But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was likely to be broken.

⁸ The centurion answered and said, "Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof: But only speak the word, and my servant shall be healed. ⁹ For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: And I say to this man, 'Go', and he goes; and to another, 'Come', and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this', and he does it."

¹³ And Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way; and as you have believed, so be it done to you." And his servant was healed that same hour.

¹ Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free run, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

⁶ For He says to the snow, 'Be on the earth'; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of His strength.

⁹ Out of the south comes the whirlwind: And cold out of the north. ¹⁰ By the breath of God frost is given: And the breadth of the waters is straitened.

²⁹ Out of whose womb came the ice? And the hoary white frost of heaven, who has has gendered it?

⁸ Fire, and hail; snow and vapor; stormy wind fulfilling His word:

¹⁰ For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and does not return there, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

²³ And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: And the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt. ²⁴ So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such that there has been none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation. ²⁵ And the hail smote all that was in the field throughout all the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field.

¹¹ And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Bethhoron, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven on them to Azekah, and they died: They were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.

²² Have you entered into the treasures of the snow? Or have you seen the treasures of the hail, ²³ which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?

²⁹ Out of whose womb came the ice? And the hoary white frost of heaven, who has has gendered it? ³⁰ The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.

⁴⁷ He destroyed their vines with hail, and their sycomore trees with frost. ⁴⁸ He also gave up their domestic beasts to the hail, and their flocks to hot thunderbolts.

¹⁶ which are blackish by reason of the ice, and in which the snow is hid: ¹⁷ What time they wax warm, they vanish: When it is hot, they are consumed out of their place.

¹⁰ By the breath of God frost is given: And the breadth of the waters is straitened.

¹⁷ How your garments are warm, when he quiets the earth by the south wind?

¹⁵ He sends forth His commandment upon earth: His word runs very swiftly.

¹ And God spoke all these words, saying, ² "I am the LORD your God, which have brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. ³ You shall have no other gods before Me. ⁴ You shall not make for yourself any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: ⁵ You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them: For I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those that hate Me; ⁶ and showing mercy to thousands of those that love Me, and keep My commandments. ⁷ You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that takes His name in vain. ⁸ Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. ⁹ Six days you shall labor, and do all your work: ¹⁰ But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God: In it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your domestic beasts, nor your stranger that is within your gates: ¹¹ For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day: Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it. ¹² Honor your father and your mother: That your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God gives you. ¹³ You shall not kill. ¹⁴ You shall not commit adultery. ¹⁵ You shall not steal. ¹⁶ You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. ¹⁷ You shall not covet your neighbor's house, you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's." ¹⁸ And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: And when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. ¹⁹ And they said to Moses, "You speak with us, and we will hear: But do not let God speak with us, lest we die." ²⁰ And Moses said to the people, "Do not fear: For God has come to prove you, and that His fear may be before your faces, that you do not sin." ²¹ And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.

¹ Now these are the judgments which you shall set before them. ² If you buy a Hebrew servant, he shall serve six years: And in the seventh he shall go out free, for nothing. ³ If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: If he was married, then his wife shall go out with him. ⁴ If his master has given him a wife, and she has borne him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master's, and he shall go out by himself. ⁵ And if the servant shall plainly say, 'I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free:' ⁶ Then his master shall bring him to the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or to the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him forever. ⁷ And if a man sells his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do. ⁸ If she does not please her master, who has betrothed her to himself, then he shall let her be redeemed: He shall have no power to sell her to a strange nation, seeing he has dealt deceitfully with her.does not please: In Hebrew, is evil in the eyes of ⁹ And if he has betrothed her to his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters. ¹⁰ If he takes himself another wife; he shall not diminish her food, her clothing, and her duty of marriage. ¹¹ And if he does not do these three to her, then she shall go out free, without paying money. ¹² He that smites a man, so that he dies, shall surely be put to death. ¹³ And if a man does not lie in wait, but God delivers him into his hand; then I will appoint you a place where he shall flee. ¹⁴ But if a man comes presumptuously upon his neighbor, to slay him with guile; you shall take him from My altar, that he may die. ¹⁵ And he that smites his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death. ¹⁶ And he that steals a man, and sells him, or if he is found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death. ¹⁷ And he that curses his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.curses; or, reviles ¹⁸ And if men strive together, and one smites another with a stone, or with his fist, and he does not die, but keeps his bed:another; or, his neighbor ¹⁹ If he rises again, and walks abroad upon his staff, then he that smote him shall be left unpunished: Only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall cause him to be thoroughly healed.loss of his time: In Hebrew, his ceasing ²⁰ And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he dies under his hand; he shall surely be punished.punished: In Hebrew, avenged ²¹ Notwithstanding, if he continues a day or two, he shall not be punished: For he is his money. ²² If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit departs from her, and yet no mischief follows: He shall surely be punished, according to as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. ²³ And if any mischief follows, then you shall give life for life,

¹ Now therefore listen, O Israel, to the statutes and to the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that you may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers gives you.

⁸ And what nation is there so great, that has statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

¹² And the LORD spoke to you out of the middle of the fire: You heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only you heard a voice. ¹³ And he declared to you His covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them on two tablets of stone.

⁴⁵ These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which Moses spoke to the children of Israel, after they came forth out of Egypt.

²² These words the LORD spoke to all your assembly in the mount out of the middle of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: And he added no more. And he wrote them in two tablets of stone, and delivered them to me.

³¹ But as for you, stand you here by me, and I will speak to you all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which you shall teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.

¹ Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that you might do them in the land where you go to possess it:

² And he said, "The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir to them; he shined forth from Mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: From his right hand went a fiery law for them. ³ Yes, he loved the people; all his saints are in your hand: And they sat down at your feet; every one shall receive of your words. ⁴ Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob.

¹ To the chief Musician on Neginoth: A Psalm or Song of Asaph. In Judah God is known: His name is great in Israel.

⁵ For He established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children:

⁷ He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel.

⁴ "Remember the law of Moses My servant, all of you, which I commanded to him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

² Much in every way: Principally, because to them were committed the oracles of God.

⁴ Who are Israelites, to whom pertains the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises;

¹⁵ and that from childhood you have known the Holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. ¹⁶ All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: ¹⁷ That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished for all good works.

⁷ For what nation is there so great, who has God so near to them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call on him for? ⁸ And what nation is there so great, that has statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

³² For ask now of the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven to the other, whether there has been any such thing as this great thing is, or has been heard like it? ³³ Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the middle of the fire, as you have heard, and live? ³⁴ Or has God assayed to go and take him a nation from the middle of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

¹⁸ Where there is no vision, the people perish: But he that keeps the law, happy is he.

¹ Now I will sing to my well Beloved a song of my Beloved touching His vineyard. My well Beloved has a vineyard in a very fruitful hill: ² And He fenced it, and gathered out the stones of it, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the middle of it, and also made a winepress in it: And He expected that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes. ³ "And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, I implore you, judge between Me and My vineyard. ⁴ What more could have been done to My vineyard, that I have not done in it? Why, when I expected that it should bring forth grapes, it brought forth wild grapes? ⁵ And now come; I will tell you what I will do to My vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall of it, and it shall be trodden down: ⁶ And I will lay it waste: It shall not be pruned, nor dug; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain on it. ⁷ For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah His pleasant plant: And He looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.

³³ Hear another parable: There was a certain householder who planted a vineyard, and hedged it all around, and dug a winepress in it, and built a tower, and leased it out to vinedressers, and went into a far country: ³⁴ Now when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers, that they might receive the fruit of it. ³⁵ But the vinedressers took his servants, and beat one, killed another, and stoned yet another. ³⁶ Again, he sent other servants more than the first: And they did likewise to them. ³⁷ But last of all he sent his son to them, saying, 'They will reverence my son.' ³⁸ But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, 'This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.' ³⁹ And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him. ⁴⁰ Therefore when the lord of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers? ⁴¹ They said to Him, "He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will lease out his vineyard to other vinedressers, which shall give him the fruits in their seasons."

¹⁶ Who in times past allowed all nations to walk in their own ways.

¹⁸ to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith that is in Me.'

²⁷ King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you believe."

¹ What advantage then has the Jew? Or what is the profit of circumcision? ² Much in every way: Principally, because to them were committed the oracles of God.

¹² because at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

⁸ For you were sometimes darkness, but now you are light in the Lord: Walk as children of light:

⁹ But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light: ¹⁰ Who in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: Which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
