³⁰ to bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living.

⁸ Lead me, O LORD, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make Your way straight before my face.

⁷ The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

³ For You are my rock and my fortress; therefore for Your name's sake lead me, and guide me.

³ O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together.

¹⁰ Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

¹² Restore to me the joy of Your salvation; and uphold me with Your free spirit.

⁹ Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name: And deliver us, and purge away our sins, for your name's sake.

⁴ Restore us, O God of our salvation, and cause Your anger toward us to cease. ⁵ Will You be angry with us forever? Will You draw out Your anger to all generations? ⁶ Will You not revive us again: That Your people may rejoice in You? ⁷ Show us Your mercy, O LORD, and grant us Your salvation.

¹³ Righteousness shall go before Him; and shall set us in the way of His steps.

¹⁷⁶ I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Your servant; for I do not forget Your commandments.

⁸ Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning; for I do trust in You: Cause me to know the way in which I should walk; for I lift up my soul to You. ⁹ Deliver me, O LORD, from my enemies: I flee to You to hide me. ¹⁰ Teach me to do Your will; for You are my God: Your Spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

¹¹ I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in right paths.

²⁰ I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:

¹⁶ And I will bring the blind by a way that they did not know; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness become light before them, and crooked things straight. I will do these things to them, and not forsake them.

⁸ Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the borders of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her who labors with child together: A great company shall return there.

³⁷ 'Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, where I have driven them in My anger, and in My fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely: ³⁸ And they shall be My people, and I will be their God: ³⁹ And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them, and of their children after them: ⁴⁰ And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from Me. ⁴¹ Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with My whole heart and with My whole soul.' ⁴² For thus says the LORD; 'Like I have brought all this great evil on this people, so I will bring on them all the good that I have promised them.

¹⁴ But I worked for My name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them out.

⁴ "I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: For My anger is turned away from him. ⁵ I will be as the dew to Israel: He shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon. ⁶ His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon. ⁷ Those that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the grain, and grow as the vine: its scent shall be as the wine of Lebanon. ⁸ Ephraim shall say, 'What have I to do with idols any more?' I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From Me your fruit is found." ⁹ Who is wise? He shall understand these things. Who is prudent? He shall know them. For the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: But the transgressors shall stumble and fall in them.

⁸ Rejoice not against me, O my enemy: When I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light to me. ⁹ I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against Him, until He pleads my cause, and executes judgment for me: He will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold His righteousness.

¹⁸ Who is a God like You, that pardons iniquity, and passes by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not maintain His anger forever, because He delights in mercy. ¹⁹ He will return again, He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

³¹ And the Lord said, "Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: ³² But I have prayed for you, that your faith does not fail: And when you are converted, strengthen your brethren."

⁶ to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved.

¹⁹ As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: Therefore be zealous, and repent.
