² Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry to You, when I lift up my hands toward Your holy oracle.

¹⁹ And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.

²² And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the house: Also the whole altar that was by the oracle he overlaid with gold. ²³ And within the oracle he made two cherubims of olive tree, each ten cubits high.

⁶ And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD to his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims. ⁷ For the cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and its staffs above. ⁸ And they drew out the staffs, that the ends of the staffs were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen outside: And there they are to this day.

²⁸ Yet have you respect to the prayer of your servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to listen to the cry and to the prayer, which your servant prays before you today: ²⁹ That your eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which you have said, "My name shall be there: That you may listen to the prayer which your servant shall make toward this place. ³⁰ And listen you to the supplication of your servant, and of your people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: And hear you in heaven your dwelling place: And when you hear, forgive.

³⁸ what prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all your people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:

¹³ For Solomon had made a brazen scaffold of five cubits long, and five cubits wide, and three cubits high, and had set it in the middle of the court: And on it he stood, and kneeled down on his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven.

⁷ But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy: And in Your fear I will worship toward Your holy temple.

⁴ Thus I will bless You while I live: I will lift up my hands in Your name.

⁵ As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them away with the workers of iniquity: But peace shall be upon Israel.

² Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.

² I will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name for Your lovingkindness and for Your truth: For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.

⁶ I said to the LORD, "You are my God: Hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.

² Let my prayer be set forth before You as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

⁶ I stretch forth my hands to You; my soul thirsts after You, as a thirsty land. Selah.

¹⁹ Arise, cry out in the night: In the beginning of the watches pour out your heart like water before the face of the LORD: Lift up your hands toward Him for the life of your young children, who faint for hunger at the head of every street."

¹⁰ Now when Daniel knew the writing document was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did before.

⁸ It is my will therefore that men everywhere pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
