¹ A Psalm of David, Maschil. Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. ² Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. ³ When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long. ⁴ For day and night your hand was heavy upon me: My moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah. ⁵ I acknowledged my sin to You, and I have not hid my iniquity. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD"; and You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah. ⁶ Everyone that is godly shall pray to You for this in a time when You may be found: In the floods of great waters they surely shall not come near to him. ⁷ You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall compass me around with songs of deliverance. Selah. ⁸ "I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with My eye.guide you with My eye: In Hebrew; counsel you, My eye shall be upon you ⁹ Do not be as the horse, nor as the mule, which have no understanding: Whose mouths must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near to you." ¹⁰ Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: But he that trusts in the LORD, mercy shall compass around him. ¹¹ Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, all you righteous: And shout for joy, all you that are upright in heart.

⁵ And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before you: For they have provoked you to anger before the builders.

¹ Blessed is the man that does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful.ungodly; or, wicked ² But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law he meditates day and night.

⁴ Blessed is that man that makes the LORD his trust, and does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

¹ To the chief Musician, Maschil, for the sons of Korah. As the hart pants after the water brooks, so pants my soul after You, O God.

¹ To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, for the sons of Korah, Maschil, A Song of loves. My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have composed concerning the King: My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

¹ To the chief Musician, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, "David has come to the house of Ahimelech." Why do you boast about yourself in mischief, O mighty man? The goodness of God endures continually.

¹ To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: There is none that does good.

¹ To the chief Musician on Neginoth, Maschil, A Psalm of David. Give ear to my prayer, O God; and do not hide Yourself from my supplication.

¹² O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in You.

² You have forgiven the iniquity of Your people, You have covered all their sin. Selah.

¹⁵ Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound; they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of Your countenance.

³ Blessed are those who keep judgment, and he who does righteousness at all times.

¹ ALEPH: Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. ² Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, and that seek Him with the whole heart.

¹ A Song of degrees. Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways.

¹⁸ "Come now, and let us reason together", said the LORD: "though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

²⁵ I, even I, am He that blots out your transgressions for My own sake, and will not remember your sins.

²² I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins: Return to Me; for I have redeemed you.

⁷ Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD. ⁸ For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, and which spreads out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat comes, but her leaves shall be green; and shall not be anxious in the year of drought, nor shall cease from yielding fruit.

¹⁸ Who is a God like You, that pardons iniquity, and passes by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not maintain His anger forever, because He delights in mercy. ¹⁹ He will return again, He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

³ "Blessed are the poor in spirit: For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. ⁴ Blessed are those who mourn: For they shall be comforted. ⁵ Blessed are the meek: For they shall inherit the earth. ⁶ Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness: For they shall be filled. ⁷ Blessed are the merciful: For they shall obtain mercy. ⁸ Blessed are the pure in heart: For they shall see God. ⁹ Blessed are the peacemakers: For they shall be called the children of God. ¹⁰ Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake: For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. ¹¹ Blessed are you when men revile you, persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake. ¹² Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad: For great is your reward in heaven: For in like manner they persecuted the prophets which were before you.

¹⁷ And Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah: For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father which is in heaven.

²⁸ But He said, "Rather, blessed are those who hear the Word of God, and keep it."

³⁸ Therefore let it be known to you, men and brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins: ³⁹ And by Him all that believe are justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

⁶ Even as David also describes the blessedness of the man, to whom God imputes righteousness without works, ⁷ saying, "Blessed are those whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. ⁸ Blessed is the man to whom the LORD will not impute sin."

¹⁴ Blessed are those that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

⁴ and brings it not to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering to the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD; blood shall be imputed to that man; he has shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people:

⁴⁷ Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and said of him, "Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!"

¹³ (For until the law sin was in the world: But sin is not imputed when there is no law.

¹² For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly toward you.

¹⁹ Know that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them; and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. ²⁰ Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God implored you through us: We make request of you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. ²¹ For He has made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

¹ Therefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speaking, ² as newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that you may grow thereby:

⁵ And no guile was found in their mouths: For they are without fault before the throne of God.

⁸ And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: And Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. ⁹ And the LORD God called to Adam, and said to him, "Where are you?" ¹⁰ And he said, "I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself." ¹¹ And He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree which I commanded you that you should not eat?" ¹² And the man said, "The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate." ¹³ And the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this that you have done?" And the woman said, "The serpent beguiled me, and I ate." ¹⁴ And the LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, you are cursed above all domestic beasts, and above every wild beast of the field; upon your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life: ¹⁵ And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel." ¹⁶ To the woman He said, "I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; in sorrow you shall bring forth children; and your desire shall be to your husband, and he shall rule over you." ¹⁷ And to Adam He said, "Because you have hearkened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it': Cursed is the ground for your sake; in sorrow you shall eat of it all the days of your life; ¹⁸ it shall also bring forth thorns and thistles to you; and you shall eat the herb of the field; ¹⁹ in the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, until you return to the ground; for out of it you were taken: For dust you are, and to dust you shall return."

¹³ And they took their bones, and buried them under a tree at Jabesh, and fasted seven days.

²⁷ And when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and bore him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the LORD.

¹² And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of his son Jonathan from the men of Jabeshgilead, which had stolen them from the street of Bethshan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa: ¹³ And he brought up from there the bones of Saul and the bones of his son Jonathan; and they gathered the bones of those that were hanged. ¹⁴ And the bones of Saul and his son Jonathan buried they in the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the sepulcher of Kish his father: And they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was entreated for the land.

²⁴ For my sighing comes before I eat, and my roarings are poured out like the waters.

¹⁷ My bones are pierced in me in the night season: And my sinews take no rest.

³⁰ My skin is black on me, and my bones are burned with heat.

² Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.

¹ To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David. My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from helping Me, and from the words of My roaring?

⁹ Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: My eye is consumed with grief, yes, my soul and my belly. ¹⁰ For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: My strength fails because of my iniquity, and my bones are consumed.

³ There is no soundness in my flesh because of Your anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.

⁸ I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.

⁸ Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which You have broken may rejoice.

³ For my days are consumed up like smoke, and my bones are burned as a hearth. ⁴ My heart is stricken, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread. ⁵ By reason of the voice of my groaning, my bones cleave to my skin.

¹³ He that covers his sins shall not prosper: But whoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy.

²⁰ Your sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: They are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of your God.

¹⁷ For the iniquity of his covetousness I was wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on backsliding in the way of his heart.

¹¹ We all roar like bears, and mourn bitterly like doves: We look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.

¹⁸ I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself saying; 'You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bull unaccustomed to the yoke: Turn me, and I shall be turned; for you are the LORD My God. ¹⁹ Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote on my thigh: I was ashamed, yes, even confounded, because I bore the reproach of my youth.'

³ Judah has gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude: She dwells among the heathen, she finds no rest: All her persecutors overtook her between the straits.

⁴ He has made My flesh and my skin old; He has broken my bones.

⁸ Also when I cry and shout, He shuts out my prayer.

¹⁴ And they have not cried out to Me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: They assemble themselves for grain and wine, and they rebel against Me.

¹⁵ Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. ¹⁶ And he would have gladly filled his belly with the husks that the swine ate: But no one gave to him.

⁶ But the hand of the LORD was heavy upon the people of Ashdod, and He destroyed them, and smote them with hemorrhoids, even Ashdod and its borders. ⁷ And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, "The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us: For His hand is heavy upon us and upon Dagon our god."

⁹ And it was so, that after they had carried it around, the hand of the LORD was against the city with a very great destruction: And He smote the men of the city, both small and great, and they had hemorrhoids in their secret parts.

¹¹ So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, "Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that it does not slay us, and our people": For there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city: The hand of God was very heavy there.

⁹ And observe, if it goes up by the roadway of its own border to Beth-Shemesh, then He has done us this great evil: But if not, then we shall know that it is not His hand that smote us. It was a chance that happened to us."

²¹ O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleads for his neighbor!

⁷ Behold, my terror shall not make you afraid, neither shall my hand be heavy on you.

¹⁵ My strength is dried up like a broken clay pot fragment; and My tongue sticks to My jaws; and you have brought Me into the dust of death.

² For Your arrows stick fast in me, and Your hand presses me sore. ³ There is no soundness in my flesh because of Your anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin. ⁴ For my iniquities have gone over my head: As a heavy burden they are too heavy for me. ⁵ My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness. ⁶ I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long. ⁷ For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: And there is no soundness in my flesh. ⁸ I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.

¹⁰ Remove Your stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of Your hand. ¹¹ When You correct man for iniquity with rebukes, You make his beauty to consume away like a moth: Surely every man is vanity. Selah.

⁶ In the morning it flourishes, and grows up; in the evening it is cut down, and withers. ⁷ For we are consumed by Your anger, and by Your wrath we are troubled.

³ For my days are consumed up like smoke, and my bones are burned as a hearth. ⁴ My heart is stricken, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.

⁸ Their visage is blacker than a coal; they are not known in the streets: Their skin sticks to their bones; it is withered, it has become like a stick.

¹⁰ Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine.

³⁹ And those that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them. ⁴⁰ If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary to me;

¹⁹ And Joshua said to Achan, "My son, give, I implore you, glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make confession to him; and tell me now what you have done; hide it not from me.

⁹ Why have you despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? You have killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and have taken his wife to be your wife, and have slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.

¹³ And David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said to David, "The LORD also has put away your sin; you shall not die.

¹⁰ And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said to the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: And now, I beseech you, O LORD, take away the iniquity of your servant; for I have done very foolishly.

³³ If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding my iniquity in my bosom:

²⁷ He looks on men, and if any say, "I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;

⁵ For His anger endures but a moment; in His favor is life: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

¹⁸ For I will declare my iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.

³ For I acknowledge my transgressions: And my sin is ever before me. ⁴ Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done this evil in your sight: That You might be justified when You speak, and be clear when You judge. ⁵ Behold, I was shaped in iniquity; and in sin my mother conceived me.

⁵ For You, LORD, are good, and ready to forgive; and abound in mercy to all those who call upon You.

¹⁵ But You, O LORD, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in mercy and truth.

³ Who forgives all your iniquities; Who heals all your diseases;

¹² As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

²⁰ Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eats, and wipes her mouth, and says, 'I have done no wickedness.'

²⁴ And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

²³ "How can you say, 'I am not polluted, I have not gone after Baalim?' See your way in the valley, know what you have done: You are a swift dromedary traversing her ways;

³⁵ Yet you say, 'Because I am innocent, surely his anger shall turn from me.' Behold, I will plead with you, because you say, 'I have not sinned.'

¹³ Only acknowledge your iniquity, that you have transgressed against the LORD your God, and have scattered your ways to the strangers under every green tree, and you have not obeyed My voice', said the LORD.

²⁰ Is Ephraim my dear son? Is he a pleasant child? For since I spoke against him, I earnestly do remember him still: Therefore My bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy on him", said the LORD.

¹ Come, and let us return to the LORD: For He has torn, and He will heal us; He has smitten, and He will bind us up.

⁸ Will a man rob God? Yet you all have robbed Me. But you all say, 'In what have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings.

⁴⁷ Therefore I say to you, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little."

¹⁷ And when he came to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have enough bread with some to spare, yet I perish with hunger! ¹⁸ I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before you, ¹⁹ and am no longer worthy to be called your son: Make me as one of your hired servants." ' ²⁰ And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was still a long way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. ²¹ And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.' ²² But the father said to his servants, 'Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: ²³ And bring here the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:

¹⁵ And He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves before men; but God knows your hearts: For that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

³² And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.

⁸ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. ⁹ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ¹⁰ If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

¹⁷ And the flood was upon the earth forty days; and the waters increased, and bore up the ark, and it was lifted up above the earth. ¹⁸ And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters. ¹⁹ And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered. ²⁰ The waters prevailed upward fifteen cubits; and the mountains were covered.15 Hebrew cubits (of the scriptures) is approximately 27.4 feet, or 8.3m; per Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary and Easton's Illustrated Bible Dictionary, Appendix VI. ²¹ And all flesh that moved upon the earth died, both of fowl, and of domestic beast, and of wild beast, and of every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth, and every man: ²² All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that were on the dry land, died.

³ But know that the LORD has set apart him that is godly for Himself: The LORD will hear when I call to Him.

² My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: The humble shall hear of it, and be glad. ³ O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together. ⁴ I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. ⁵ They looked to Him, and were lightened: And their faces were not ashamed.

³ And He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God: Many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

⁷ Deep calls to deep at the noise of Your waterspouts: All Your waves and Your billows have gone over me.

¹² Restore to me the joy of Your salvation; and uphold me with Your free spirit. ¹³ Then I will teach transgressors Your ways; and sinners shall be converted to You.

¹ To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, A Psalm of David. Save me, O God; for the waters have come in to my soul. ² I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

¹³ But as for me, my prayer is to You, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of Your mercy hear me, in the truth of Your salvation. ¹⁴ Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: Let me be delivered from those that hate me, and out of the deep waters. ¹⁵ Do not let the flood waters overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and do not let the pit shut her mouth upon me.

⁴ then the waters would have overwhelmed us, the stream would have gone over our soul: ⁵ Then the proud waters would have gone over our soul."

⁷ Send Your hand from above; deliver me out of mighty waters, from the hand of strange children;

²⁸ Then they shall call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

² When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle on you.

⁸ Thus says the LORD, "In an acceptable time I have heard You, and in a day of salvation I have helped You: And I will preserve You, and give You for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;

⁶ All of you seek the LORD while He may be found, call on Him while He is near:

²⁴ Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house upon a rock: ²⁵ And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it did not fall: For it was founded upon a rock. ²⁶ And everyone that hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, shall be likened to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand: ²⁷ And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: And great was the fall of it."

⁴² saying, "If you had known, even you, at least in this day, the things which relate to your peace! But now they are hid from your eyes. ⁴³ For the days shall come upon you, that your enemies shall cast a trench around you, surround you, and keep you in on every side, ⁴⁴ and shall level you even with the ground, and your children within you; and they shall not leave one stone upon another in you; because you did not know the time of your visitation."

³⁴ You shall seek Me, and shall not find Me: And where I am, there you cannot come."

⁴ who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, by the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

² (For He said, "I have heard you in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation I have helped you": Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

⁹ Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that you sorrowed to repentance: For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer damage by us in nothing. ¹⁰ For godly sorrow works out repentance to salvation, not to be regretted: But the sorrow of the world works death.

¹⁶ Nevertheless, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who should hereafter believe upon Him to life everlasting.

¹² teaching us that through denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

¹⁵ And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. ¹⁶ But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

¹ Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and spoke, saying, "I will sing to the LORD, for He has triumphed gloriously: The horse and his rider He has thrown into the sea. ² The LORD is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation: He is my God, and I will prepare Him a habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt Him. ³ The LORD is a Man of war: The LORD is His name.

¹ Then sang Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying,

¹ And David spoke to the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul:

¹² For You, LORD, will bless the righteous; with favor You will compass around him, as with a shield.

⁹ The LORD will also be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.

⁵ The sorrows of hell compassed around me: The snares of death hindered me.

⁵ For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion: In the secret of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me upon a rock.

²⁰ You shall hide them in the secret of Your presence from the pride of man: You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

¹⁰ Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: But he that trusts in the LORD, mercy shall compass around him.

¹ He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

¹ A Psalm. O sing to the LORD a new song; for He has done marvelous things: His right hand and His holy arm, have gotten Him the victory.

¹¹⁴ You are my hiding place and my shield: I hope in Your word.

⁹ Deliver me, O LORD, from my enemies: I flee to You to hide me.

²⁶ But the king commanded Jerahmeel the son of Hammelech, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet: But the LORD hid them.

³ For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

¹⁰ And cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation to our God which sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb."

² And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: And those that had prevailed in victory over the beast, and over his image, over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. ³ And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are Your ways, You King of saints.

⁸ Good and upright is the LORD: Therefore He will teach sinners in the way. ⁹ The meek He will guide in judgment: And He will teach the meek His way. ¹⁰ All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth to such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.

¹⁸ Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon those that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy;

¹¹ Come, you children, listen to me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

¹ My son, do not forget my law; but let your heart keep my commandments:

⁵ Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding. ⁶ In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

¹ Hear, you children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. ² For I give you good doctrine, do not forsake my law. ³ For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother. ⁴ He also taught me, and said to me, "Let your heart retain my words: Keep my commandments, and live. ⁵ Get wisdom, get understanding: Forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. ⁶ Do not forsake, and she shall preserve you: Love her, and she shall keep you. ⁷ Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: And with all your getting get understanding. ⁸ Exalt her, and she shall promote you: She shall bring you to honor, when you do embrace her. ⁹ She shall give to your head an ornament of grace: A crown of glory she shall deliver to you. ¹⁰ Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of your life shall be many. ¹¹ I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in right paths. ¹² When you go, your steps shall not be hampered; and when you run, you shall not stumble. ¹³ Take firm hold of instruction; do not let her go: Keep her; for she is your life.

¹⁰ Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. ¹¹ For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

¹⁰ They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: For He that has mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall He guide them.

²⁹ Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: And you shall find rest for your souls.

¹¹ who teaches us more than the wild beasts of the earth, and makes us wiser than the fowls of heaven?

³ A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the fool's back.

²² "For my people are foolish, they have not known Me; they are silly children, and they have no understanding: They are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge."

⁶ I listened and heard, but they did not speak aright: No man repented of his wickedness, saying, 'What have I done?' Everyone turned to his course, as the horse rushes into the battle. ⁷ Yes, the stork in heaven knows her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but My people do not know the judgment of the LORD.

¹⁸ I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself saying; 'You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bull unaccustomed to the yoke: Turn me, and I shall be turned; for you are the LORD My God.

³ Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn around their whole body.

⁷ Therefore submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. ⁸ Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. ⁹ Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. ¹⁰ Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.

¹² Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and all you perish from pursuing the way, when His wrath is kindled only a little. Blessed are all those that put their trust in Him.

⁴ Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god: I will not offer their drink offerings of blood, nor take up their names into my lips.

⁸ O taste and see that the LORD is good: Blessed is the man that trusts in him.

¹⁹ Many are the afflictions of the righteous: But the LORD delivers him out of them all. ²⁰ He keeps all his bones: Not one of them is broken. ²¹ Evil shall slay the wicked: And those that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

¹¹ Do not let an evil speaker be established in the earth: Evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him."

⁵ Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:

¹¹ The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those that hope in His mercy.

²¹ Evil pursues sinners: But to the righteous good shall be repaid.

²⁰ He that handles a matter wisely shall find good: And whoever trusts in the LORD, happy is he.

¹² Though a sinner do evil a hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet I know surely that it shall be well with those who fear God, which fear before Him:

¹¹ Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him: For the reward of his hands shall be given him.

² Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: For the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; He also has become my salvation. ³ Therefore with joy you shall draw water out of the wells of salvation.

²¹ "There is no peace", said my God, "for the wicked."

⁸ But to those who are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, ⁹ tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that does evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

¹⁰ For the love of money is the root of all evil: Which while coveting after, some have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

¹² And you shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that is within your gates; for as much as he has no part nor inheritance with you.

¹ And Hannah prayed, and said, "My heart rejoices in the LORD, my horn is exalted in the LORD: My mouth is enlarged over my enemies; because I rejoice in Your salvation.

¹¹ And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks to the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endures forever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid. ¹² But many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy: ¹³ So that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people: For the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard afar off.

¹¹ But let all those that put their trust in You rejoice: Let them shout for joy forevermore, because You defend them: Also let those that love Your name be joyful in You.

¹⁰ My defense is of God, which saves the upright in heart.

² Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

¹ Rejoice in the LORD, O all you righteous: For praise is becoming of the upright.

¹⁰ The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in Him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.

³ But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: Yes, let them exceedingly rejoice.

¹ The LORD reigns; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of islands be glad because of it.

¹² Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness.

⁴ Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth; make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

⁴ Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts.

⁷ 'Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain: And he shall bring forth its headstone with shoutings, crying out, "Grace, grace to it."

¹¹ And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

¹ Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write even the same things to you is not grievous to me, but for you it is safe.

³ For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

⁴ Rejoice in the Lord always: And again I say, Rejoice.
