¹⁹ They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

²⁰ In famine he shall redeem you from death: And in war from the power of the sword. ²¹ You shall be hid from the whip of the tongue: Neither shall you be afraid of destruction when it comes. ²² At destruction and famine you shall laugh: Neither shall you be afraid of the wild beasts of the earth.

¹² For man also does not know his time: As the fish that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it suddenly falls on them.

¹⁶ he shall dwell on high: His place of defense shall be the fortress of rocks: Bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.

¹³ Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is an evil time.

³ Therefore thus says the LORD; "Behold, against this family I devise an evil, from which you shall not remove your necks; neither shall you go haughtily: For this time is evil.
