God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. ² Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; ³ though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling. ¹ To the Chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah. LORD, You have been favorable to Your land: You have brought back the captivity of Jacob.

¹ A Psalm or Song for the sons of Korah. His foundation is in the holy mountains.

¹ He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. ² I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress: My God; in Him I will trust." ³ Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the noxious pestilence. ⁴ He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings shall you trust: His truth shall be your shield and buckler. ⁵ You shall not be afraid on account of the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flies by day; ⁶ nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that lays waste at noonday. ⁷ A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. ⁸ Merely with your eyes shall you behold and see the reward of the wicked. ⁹ Because you have made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the Most High, your habitation;

⁵ I cried out to You, O LORD: I said, "You are my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.

²⁶ In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: And his children shall have a place of refuge.

¹⁰ The name of the LORD is a strong tower: The righteous runs into it, and is safe.

³⁴ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which kills the prophets, and stones those who are sent to you; how often I would have gathered your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing!

¹⁸ That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

¹¹ In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. ¹² And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

⁷ Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of the hills also moved and were shaken, because He was wroth.

⁴ Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff they comfort me.

³ Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: Though war should rise against me, in this I will be confident.

²⁴ And behold, there arose a large tempest in the sea, so that the ship was covered with the waves: But He was asleep. ²⁵ And His disciples came to Him, and awoke Him, saying, "Lord, save us: We perish." ²⁶ But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then He arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

²¹ Jesus answered and said to them, "Truly I say to you, If you have faith, and do not doubt, you shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if you shall say to this mountain, 'Be removed, and be cast into the sea'; it shall be done.

⁹ But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified: For these things must first come to pass; but the end is not immediately." ¹⁰ Then He said to them, "Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: ¹¹ And great earthquakes shall be in diverse places, and famines, and pestilences; and there shall be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.

²⁵ And there shall be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; ²⁶ men's hearts failing them from fear, and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth: For the powers of heaven shall be shaken. ²⁷ And then they shall see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. ²⁸ Now when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws near."

³³ Heaven and earth shall pass away: But My words shall not pass away.

⁶ So that we may boldly say, "The LORD is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do to me."

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also, and the works that are in it shall be burned up. ¹¹ Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you be in all holy conversation and godliness, ¹² looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, in which the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? ¹³ Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. ¹⁴ Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found by Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

⁴ LORD, when you went out of Seir, when you marched out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and heaven dropped, the clouds also dropped water. ⁵ The mountains melted from before the LORD, even that Sinai from before the LORD God of Israel.

¹¹ And he said, "Go forth, and stand on the mount before the LORD. And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and broke in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: And after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:

⁵ Which removes the mountains, and they know not: Which overturns them in his anger. ⁶ Which shakes the earth out of her place, and its pillars tremble.

¹¹ and said, "Till now shall you come, but no further: And here shall your proud waves be stayed?

⁴ The sorrows of death compassed around me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.

³ The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voices; the floods lift up their waves. ⁴ The LORD on high is mightier than the thunders of many waters, yes, mightier than the mighty waves of the sea.

⁴ The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs. ⁵ What ailed you, O sea, that you fled? O Jordan, that you were driven back? ⁶ You mountains, that you skipped like rams; and you little hills, like lambs? ⁷ Tremble, you earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

³ "And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, I implore you, judge between Me and My vineyard.

¹² Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! ¹³ The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: But God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.

²⁴ I beheld the mountains, and lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.

²² Do you not fear me?' said the LORD: 'will you not tremble at My presence, who has placed the sand as the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it?: And though the waves of it toss themselves, yet they cannot prevail; though they roar, yet they cannot pass over it?

⁴ And the mountains shall be molten under Him, and the valleys shall be split apart, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place. ⁵ The mountains quake at Him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at His presence, yes, the world, and all that dwell in it.

²⁵ And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it did not fall: For it was founded upon a rock.

²⁰ Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

¹⁵ And he said to me, "The waters which you saw, where the whore sits, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

¹¹ then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall you bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to the LORD: ¹² And you shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that is within your gates; for as much as he has no part nor inheritance with you.

⁶ But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.

² He makes me to lie down in green pastures: He leads me beside the still waters.

⁸ They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of Your house; and You shall make them drink of the river of Your pleasures. ⁹ For with You is the fountain of life: In Your light we shall see light.

³ O send out Your light and Your truth: Let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy hill, and to Your tabernacles.

⁸ As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it forever. Selah.

⁹ You visit the earth, and water it: You greatly enrich it with the river of God, which is full of water: You prepare them grain, when You have so provided for it.

³ Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God. Selah.

¹ A Psalm or Song for the Sabbath Day. It is a good thing to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High:

⁸ But You, LORD, are most high forevermore.

⁸ If you see the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, do not marvel at the matter: For he who is higher than the highest observes; and there be higher than they.

⁶ "For as much as this people refuses the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah's son; ⁷ now therefore, behold, the Lord brings up on them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: And he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:

³⁵ 'For I will defend this city to save it for My own sake, and for My servant David's sake.' " ³⁶ Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and eighty and five thousand: And when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

¹⁸ O that you had listened to My commandments! Then had your peace been as a river, and your righteousness as the waves of the sea:

¹⁴ Also the sons of those who afflicted you shall come bending to you; and all those who despised you shall bow themselves down at the soles of your feet; and they shall call you; The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

¹ Afterward he brought me again to the door of the house; and behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: For the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar. ² Then he brought me out of the passageway of the gate northward, and led me around the pathway outside to the outermost gate by the entranceway that looks eastward; and behold, there ran out waters on the right side. ³ And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles. ⁴ Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins. ⁵ Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: For the waters had risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over. ⁶ And he said to me, "Son of man, have you seen this?" Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river. ⁷ Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other. ⁸ Then he said to me, "These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: Which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed. ⁹ And it shall come to pass, that every thing which lives, and moves, wherever the rivers shall come, shall live: And there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come there: For they shall be healed; and every thing shall live where the river comes. ¹⁰ And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even to Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceedingly many. ¹¹ But the miry places of it and its marshes shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt. ¹² And by the river upon its bank, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for food, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall its fruit be consumed: It shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because of their waters which issued out of the sanctuary: And its fruit shall be for food, and its leaf for medicine."

⁶ With what shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?

²² But you have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

² And I, John, saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. ³ And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.

¹⁰ And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

¹ And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. ² In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, there was the tree of life, which bore twelve kinds of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: And the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. ³ And there shall be no more curse: But the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him:

²⁴ And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked toward the armies of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the armies of the Egyptians,

²⁷ And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.

¹⁴ For the LORD your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you, and to give up your enemies before you; therefore shall your camp be holy: That he see no unclean thing in you, and turn away from you.

⁵ For His anger endures but a moment; in His favor is life: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

⁴⁰ And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him.

² He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.

¹⁸ You have ascended on high, You have led captivity captive: You have received gifts for men; yes, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.

⁶ Surely he shall not be moved forever: The righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

¹ A Song of degrees. Those who trust in the LORD shall be as Mount Zion which cannot be removed, but abides forever.

⁸ Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning; for I do trust in You: Cause me to know the way in which I should walk; for I lift up my soul to You.

⁶ Cry out and shout, you inhabitant of Zion: For great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of you.

⁷ And He said to me, "Son of man, the house of Israel shall no longer defile the place of My throne, and the place of the soles of My feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel forever, and My holy name, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcasses of their kings in their high places.

⁹ Now let them put away their whoredom, and the carcasses of their kings, far from Me, and I will dwell in the midst of them forever.

⁹ I will not execute the fierceness of My anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: For I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of you: And I will not enter into the city.

²⁷ And you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: And My people shall never be ashamed.

¹⁵ The LORD has taken away your judgments, He has cast out your enemy: The King of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of you: You shall not see evil any more.

⁵ For I', says the LORD, 'will be to her a wall of fire all around, and will be the glory in the midst of her.' "

¹⁰ Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: For lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of you", says the LORD. ¹¹ "And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be My people: And I will dwell in the midst of you, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you.

³ Thus says the LORD; 'I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: And Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.'

²⁰ For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there I am in the midst of them."

⁸ I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, shall He find faith on the earth?"

¹ To the angel of the church of Ephesus write; 'These things says He that holds the seven stars in His right hand, Who walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

⁹ and she said to the men, I know that the LORD has given you the land, and that your terror is fallen on us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.

¹¹ And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: For the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.

²⁴ And they said to Joshua, "Truly the LORD has delivered into our hands all the land; for even all the inhabitants of the country do faint because of us.

²⁰ And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: And as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, "Hear me, O Judah, an d all you inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall you be established; believe his prophets, so shall you prosper. ²¹ And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers to the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, "Praise the LORD; for his mercy endures forever. ²² And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the children of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. ²³ For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: And when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another. ²⁴ And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked to the multitude, and behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.

¹ Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? ² The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against His anointed, saying, ³ "Let us break their bands apart, and cast away their cords from us." ⁴ He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: The LORD shall have them in derision.

¹³ The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave His voice; hail stones and coals of fire.

⁸ The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: Even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

³³ To Him that rides upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; look, he sends out His voice, and that's a mighty voice.

² For lo, Your enemies make a tumult: And those who hate You have lifted up their head. ³ They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, and consulted against Your hidden ones. ⁴ They have said, "Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may not be in remembrance any more." ⁵ For they have consulted together with one consent: They are confederated against You: ⁶ The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes; ⁷ gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; ⁸ assyria has also joined with them: They have helped the children of Lot. ⁵ The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

⁹ Associate yourselves, O you people, and you shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all you of far countries: Gird yourselves, and you shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and you shall be broken in pieces. ¹⁰ Take counsel together, and it shall come to nothing; speak the word, and it shall not stand: For God is with us."

¹² How you have fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! ¹³ For you have said in your heart, "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will also sit on the mount of the congregation, in uttermost sides of the north: ¹⁴ I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High." ¹⁵ Yet you shall be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. ¹⁶ Those that see you shall narrowly look on you, and consider you, saying, "Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that shook kingdoms;

²¹ Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, "Thus says the LORD God of Israel, Because you have prayed to Me against Sennacherib king of Assyria: ²² This is the word which the LORD has spoken concerning him; 'The virgin, the daughter of Zion, has despised you, and laughed you to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem has shaken her head at you. ²³ Whom have you reproached and blasphemed? And against whom have you exalted your voice, and lifted up your eyes on high? Even against the Holy One of Israel. ²⁴ By your servants you have reproached the Lord, and have said, "By the multitude of my chariots I have come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars of it, and its choice fir trees: And I will enter into the height of his border, and the forest of his Carmel. ²⁵ I have dug, and drunk water; and with the sole of my feet I have dried up all the rivers of the besieged places." ²⁶ Have you not heard long ago, how I have done it; and of ancient times, that I have formed it? Now I have brought it to pass, that you should lay waste defended cities into ruinous heaps. ²⁷ Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded: They were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as grain blasted before it is grown up. ²⁸ But I know your abode, and your going out, and your coming in, and your rage against me. ²⁹ Because your rage against me, and your tumult, have come up into my ears, therefore I will put my hook in your nose, and my bridle in your lips, and I will turn back by the way which you came." ' ³⁰ And this shall be a sign to you, this year you shall eat such as grows of itself; and the second year that which springs from the same: And in the third year you sow, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of it. ³¹ And the remnant of the house of Judah who have escaped shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward: ³² For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they who escape out of Mount Zion: The zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this. ³³ Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, 'He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shields, nor cast a siege mound against it. ³⁴ By the way that he came, by the same he shall return, and shall not come into this city', said the LORD.

¹ Oh that You would rend heaven, that You would come down, that the mountains might flow down at Your presence, ² as when the melting fire burns, the fire causes the waters to boil, to make Your name known to Your adversaries, that the nations may tremble at Your presence!

³⁰ Therefore prophesy you against them all these words, and say to them, 'The LORD shall roar from on high, and utter His voice from His holy habitation; He shall mightily roar on His habitation; He shall give a shout, as those who tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.

¹¹ And the LORD shall utter His voice before His army: For His camp is very great: For He is strong that executes His word: For the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

² And he said, "The LORD will roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither."

⁵ And the Lord GOD of hosts is He that touches the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell in it shall mourn: And it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.

¹³ "Behold, the days come", says the LORD, "that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that sows seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.sweet; or, new

⁵ Before Him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at His feet. ⁶ He stood, and measured the earth: He beheld, and drove apart the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills bowed down: His ways are everlasting.

¹⁰ The mountains saw You, and they trembled: The overflowing of the water passed by: The deep uttered its voice, and lifted up its hands on high. ¹¹ The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: At the light of Your arrows they went, and at the shining of Your glittering spear.

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also, and the works that are in it shall be burned up. ¹¹ Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you be in all holy conversation and godliness, ¹² looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, in which the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

¹³ and the stars of heaven fell to the earth, even as a fig tree casts out her untimely figs, when she is shaken by a mighty wind. ¹⁴ And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

¹¹ And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

⁹ Only rebel not you against the LORD, neither fear you the people of the land; for they are bread for us: Their defense is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: Fear them not.

¹² And behold, God himself is with us for our captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight you not against the LORD God of your fathers; for you shall not prosper.

¹⁰ Take counsel together, and it shall come to nothing; speak the word, and it shall not stand: For God is with us."

²⁰ Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you: And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world." Amen.

³¹ What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

²² The Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.

⁷ And Pharaoh's servants said to him, "How long shall this man be a snare to us? Let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: Do you not yet know that Egypt is destroyed?"

³⁰ And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

³⁰ In this manner the LORD saved Israel out of the hand of the Egyptians that day; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the seashore. ³¹ And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: And the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses.

²³ Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: According to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What has God worked!

²⁰ For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favor, but that he might destroy them, as the LORD commanded Moses.

⁵ Come and see the works of God: He is frightful in His doing toward the children of men.

⁴ For You, LORD, have made me glad through Your work: I will triumph in the works of Your hands. ⁵ O LORD, how great are Your works! And Your thoughts are very deep. ⁶ A brutish man does not know; neither does a fool understand this.

² The works of the LORD are great, sought out by all those who have pleasure in them. ³ His work is honorable and glorious: And His righteousness endures forever.

¹ Behold, the LORD makes the earth empty, and makes it waste, and turns it upside down, and scatters abroad its inhabitants.

² For the indignation of the LORD is on all nations, and His fury on all their armies: He has utterly destroyed them, He has delivered them to the slaughter. ³ Their slain shall also be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcasses, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood. ⁴ And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and heaven shall be rolled together as a scroll: And all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falls off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree. ⁵ For My sword shall be bathed in heaven: Behold, it shall come down on Edom, and on the people of My curse, for judgment. ⁶ The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: For the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Edom. ⁷ And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bulls with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness. ⁸ For it is the day of the LORD's vengeance, and the year of recompenses for the controversy of Zion. ⁹ And the streams of it shall be turned into pitch, and the dust of it into brimstone, and the land of it shall become burning pitch. ¹⁰ It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke of it shall go up forever: From generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it forever and ever. ¹¹ But the pelican and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: And He shall stretch out on it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness. ¹² They shall call the nobles of it to the kingdom, but none shall be there, and all her princes shall be nothing. ¹³ And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses of it: And it shall be a habitation of dragons, and a court for owls. ¹⁴ The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest. ¹⁵ There the great owl shall make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and gather under her shadow: There the vultures shall also be gathered, every one with her mate. ¹⁶ Seek out of the book of the LORD, and read: Not one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: For My mouth has commanded it, and His spirit has gathered them. ¹⁷ And He has cast the lot for them, and His hand has divided it to them by line: They shall possess it forever, from generation to generation they shall dwell in it.

⁴ And they shall build the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

⁶ And the LORD said to Joshua, "Do not be afraid because of them: For tomorrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: You shall hamstring their horses, and burn their chariots with fire.

⁹ And Joshua did to them as the LORD bade him: He hamstrung their horses, and burnt their chariots with fire.

⁴ The bows of the mighty men are broken, and those that stumbled are girded with strength.

³ There He broke the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah. ⁴ You are more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey. ⁵ The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: And none of the men of might have found their hands. ⁶ At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

⁴ And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: And they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning-hooks: Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

⁹ They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain: For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

¹⁸ Violence shall no longer be heard in your land, neither wasting nor destruction within your borders; but you shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise.

³ And I will smite your bow out of your left hand, and will cause your arrows to fall out of your right hand.

⁹ And those that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the javelins, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years: ¹⁰ So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any trees out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: And they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them", says the Lord GOD.

³ And He shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning-hooks: Nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. ⁴ But they shall sit, every man, under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: For the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken it.

¹⁰ And it shall come to pass in that day", says the LORD, "that I will cut off your horses out of the midst of you, and I will destroy your chariots:

¹¹ Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: For in the thing about which they dealt proudly He was above them."

⁴⁶ This day the LORD will deliver you into my hand; and I will smite you, and take your head from you; and I will give the carcasses of the army of the Philistines this day to the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.

³⁶ And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, "LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that you are God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that I have done all these things at your word.

¹² Have the gods of the nations delivered them which my fathers have destroyed; as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden which were in Thelasar?

¹¹ Yours, O LORD is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: For all that is in the heaven and in the earth is yours; your is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all.

¹³ Be exalted, LORD, in Your own strength: In this manner we will sing and praise Your power.

⁵ Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let Your glory be above all the earth.

¹⁸ That men may know that You, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, are the Most High over all the earth.

³ Know that the LORD, He is God: It is He that has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.

¹¹ The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

¹⁷ And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: And the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

¹⁶ But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God who is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.

²³ Thus I will magnify Myself, and sanctify Myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD." ' "

²⁰ But the LORD is in His holy temple: Let all the earth keep silence before Him."

¹³ Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: For He is raised up out of His holy habitation."

³ And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are Your ways, You King of saints. ⁴ Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For only You are holy: For all nations shall come and worship before You; for Your judgments are made manifest."

²⁷ The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: And he shall thrust out the enemy from before you; and shall say, "Destroy them.

¹ To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

³ God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

¹⁹ O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come to You from the ends of the earth, and shall say, "Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things in which there is no profit."
