Selah. ⁶ Arise, O LORD, in Your anger, lift up Yourself because of the rage of my enemies: And awake for me, to the judgment that You have commanded. ⁷ So shall the congregation of the people compass around You: For their sakes therefore return on high. ⁸ The LORD shall judge the people: Judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity that is in me. ⁹ Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: For the righteous God proves the hearts and inner reins through testing. ¹⁰ My defense is of God, which saves the upright in heart. ¹¹ God judges the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. ¹² If he does not turn, He will whet his sword; He has bent His bow, and made it ready. ¹³ He has also prepared for Himself the instruments of death; He ordains His arrows against the persecutors. ¹⁴ Behold, he travails with iniquity, and has conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood. ¹⁵ He made a pit, and dug it, and has fallen into the ditch which he made. ¹⁶ His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own scalp. ¹⁷ I will praise the LORD according to His righteousness: And will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.

¹ And when David was a little past the top of the hill, behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of donkeys saddled, and on them two hundred loaves of bread, and a hundred bunches of raisins, and a hundred of summer fruits, and a bottle of wine. ² And the king said to Ziba, "What mean you by these? ⁷ Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: For You have smitten all my enemies upon the cheek bone; You have broken the teeth of the ungodly.

³ Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: Lighten my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

⁵ But I have trusted in Your mercy; my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.

⁷ Show Your marvelous lovingkindness, O You that saves by Your right hand those which put their trust in You from those that rise up against them. ⁸ Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of Your wings, ⁹ from the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass around me.

² The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler shield, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

²⁸ For You will light my candle: The LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.

² O my God, I trust in You: Let me not be ashamed, do not let my enemies triumph over me.

¹ A Psalm of David. Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in my integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.

² O LORD my God, I cried out to You, and You have healed me.

¹² to the end that my glory may sing praise to You, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever.

¹⁵ My times are in Your hand: Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those that persecute me.

¹⁰ Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: But he that trusts in the LORD, mercy shall compass around him.

¹ A Psalm of David. Plead my cause, O LORD, with those that strive with me: Fight against those that fight against me. ² Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help. ³ Draw out the spear also, and stop the way against those that persecute me: Say to my soul, I am your salvation.

⁴ Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy: Yeah, I will praise You on the harp, O God my God.

²⁶ He shall cry to Me, 'You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.'

³ Do not put your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. ⁴ His breath goes forth, he returns to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. ⁵ Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God: ⁶ Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that is in them: Which keeps truth forever:

¹⁰ Who is among you that fears the LORD, that obeys the voice of His Servant, that walks in darkness, and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD, and rely upon his God.

¹⁵ O LORD, You know: Remember me and visit me, and take revenge for me on my persecutors; in your long-suffering do not take me away: Know that for Your sake I have suffered rebuke.

¹¹ But the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: Therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: They shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: Their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.

¹⁸ I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself saying; 'You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bull unaccustomed to the yoke: Turn me, and I shall be turned; for you are the LORD My God.

⁴ And I prayed to the LORD my God and made my confession, and said, "O LORD, the great and frightful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to those who love Him, and to those who keep His commandments;

¹⁹ O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; Defer not, for Your own sake, O my God: For Your city and Your people are called by Your name." ²⁰ And while I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God;

⁷ Therefore I will be to them as a lion: As a leopard by the pathway, I will observe them: ⁸ I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will tear the membrane of their heart, and I will devour them there like a lion: The wild beast shall tear them.

¹⁷ But the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that the preaching by me might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

⁸ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour:

²² the LORD God of gods, the LORD God of gods, he knows, and Israel he shall know; if it be in rebellion, or if in transgression against the LORD, (save us not this day),

⁸ Therefore you shall deal kindly with your servant; for you have brought your servant into a covenant of the LORD with you: Notwithstanding, if there is iniquity in me, slay me yourself; for why should you bring me to your father?"

⁸ that all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that shows me that my son has made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or discloses to me that my son has stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this time?"

¹³ And Saul said to him, "Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, in that you have given him bread, and a sword, and have inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this moment?"

⁹ And David said to Saul, "Why do you listen to men's words, who say, 'Behold, David seeks your hurt'?

¹¹ Moreover, my father, see, yes, see the skirt of your robe in my hand: For in that I cut off the skirt of your robe, and I did not kill you, know and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in my hand, and I have not sinned against you; yet you hunt my soul to take it.

¹⁸ And he said, "Why does my lord pursue after his servant in this manner? For what have I done? Or what evil is in my hand? ¹⁹ Now therefore, I implore you, let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If the LORD has stirred you up against me, let Him accept an offering: But if it is the children of men, cursed be them before the LORD; for they have driven me out this day from abiding in the inheritance of the LORD, saying, 'Go, serve other gods.'

⁷ And thus said Shimei when he cursed, Come out, come out, you bloody man, and you man of Belial: ⁸ The LORD has returned on you all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead you have reigned; and the LORD has delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom your son: And behold, you are taken in your mischief, because you are a bloody man.

¹⁴ if iniquity be in your hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in your tabernacles.

¹⁷ not for any injustice in my hands: Also my prayer is pure. ¹⁸ O earth, cover not you my blood, and let my cry have no place. ¹⁹ Also now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and my record is on high.

³ For lo, they lie in wait for my soul: The mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O LORD.

¹⁸ If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

⁴ And when they were gone out of the city, and not yet far off, Joseph said to his steward, "Get up, follow after the men; and when you overtake them, say to them, 'Why have you rewarded evil for good?

⁴ And Jonathan spoke good of David to his father Saul, and said to him, "Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; because he has not sinned against you, and because his works have been very good toward you: ⁵ For he put his life in his hand, and slew the Philistine, and the LORD worked a great salvation for all Israel: You saw it, and rejoiced: Why then will you sin against innocent blood, to slay David without a cause?"

¹ And David fled from Naioth in Ramah, and came and said before Jonathan, "What have I done? What is my iniquity? And what is my sin before your father, that he seeks my life?"

¹⁴ Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, "And who is so faithful among all your servants as David, which is the king's son-in-law, and goes at your bidding, and is honorable in your house?

⁷ So David settled his servants with these words, and did not permit them to rise against Saul. But Saul rose up out of the cave, and went on his way.

¹⁰ Behold, this day your eyes have seen how the LORD had delivered you into my hand today in the cave: And some invited me to kill you: But my eye spared you; and I said, 'I will not put forth my hand against my lord; for he is the LORD's anointed.' ¹¹ Moreover, my father, see, yes, see the skirt of your robe in my hand: For in that I cut off the skirt of your robe, and I did not kill you, know and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in my hand, and I have not sinned against you; yet you hunt my soul to take it. ¹² The LORD judge between me and you, and the LORD avenge me of you: But my hand shall not be upon you. ¹³ As the proverb of the ancients says, 'Wickedness proceeds from the wicked': But my hand shall not be upon you. ¹⁴ After whom has the king of Israel come out? After whom do you pursue? After a dead dog, after a flea. ¹⁵ The LORD therefore be judge, and judge between me and you, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of your hand."

¹⁷ And he said to David, "You are more righteous than I: For you have rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded you evil. ¹⁸ And you have showed this day how you have dealt well with me: Because when the LORD had delivered me into your hand, you did not kill me. ¹⁹ For if a man finds his enemy, will he let him readily go away? For this reason the LORD reward you good for that which you have done to me this day.

²⁸ I implore you, forgive the trespass of your handmaid: For the LORD will certainly make my lord a sure house; because my lord fights the battles of the LORD, and evil has not been found in you all your days. ²⁹ Yet a man is risen to pursue you, and to seek your soul: But the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life with the LORD your God; and the souls of your enemies, those ones He shall sling out, as out of the middle of a sling.

⁹ And David said to Abishai, "Do not slay him: For who can stretch forth his hand against the LORD's anointed, and be guiltless?" ¹⁰ David furthermore said, "As the LORD lives, the LORD shall smite him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall descend into battle, and perish. ¹¹ The LORD forbid that I should stretch forth my hand against the LORD's anointed: But, I implore you, now take the spear that is at his head, and the cup of water, and let us go." ¹² So David took the spear and the cup of water from near Saul's head; and they got themselves away, and no man saw it, nor knew it, neither awoke: For they were all asleep; because a deep sleep from the LORD had fallen upon them. ¹³ Then David went over to the other side, and stood on the top of a hill afar off; a great space being between them: ¹⁴ And David cried out to the people, and to Abner the son of Ner, saying, "Do you not answer, Abner?" Then Abner answered and said, "Who are you that cries out to the king?" ¹⁵ And David said to Abner, "Are you not a valiant man? And who is like you in Israel? Why then have you not kept your lord the king? For one of the people came in to slay your lord the king. ¹⁶ This thing that you have done is not good. As the LORD lives, you are worthy to die, because you have not kept your master, the LORD's anointed. And now see where the king's spear is, and the cup of water that was at his head." ¹⁷ And Saul knew David's voice, and said, "Is this your voice, my son David?" And David said, "It is my voice, my lord, O king."

²¹ Then Saul said, "I have sinned: Return, my son David: For I will do you harm no more, because my soul was precious in your eyes this day: Behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly."

²⁴ And behold, as your life was greatly valued in my eyes this day, so let my life be greatly valued in the eyes of the LORD, and let Him deliver me out of all tribulation."

²⁰ He has put forth his hands against such as are at peace with him: He has broken his covenant.

⁵ And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

³ The refining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: But the LORD proves the hearts through testing.

²⁰ Shall evil be recompensed for good? For they have dug a pit for my soul. Remember that I stood before you to speak good for them, and to turn away Your wrath from them. ²¹ Therefore deliver up their children to the famine, and pour out their blood by the force of the sword; and let their wives be bereaved of their children, and be widows; and let their men be put to death; let their young men be slain by the sword in battle.

¹⁵ I have sewed sackcloth on my skin, and defiled my horn in the dust.

⁵ If I have walked with vanity, or if my foot has hurried to deceit; ⁶ let me be weighed in an even balance that God may know my integrity. ⁷ If my step has turned out of the way, and my heart walked after my eyes, and if any blot has stuck to my hands; ⁸ then let me sow, and let another eat; yes, let my offspring be rooted out. ⁹ If my heart have been deceived by a woman, or if I have laid wait at my neighbor's door; ¹⁰ then let my wife grind to another, and let others bow down on her.

³⁸ If my land cry against me, or that the furrows likewise of it complain; ³⁹ if I have eaten its fruits without money, or have caused its owners to lose their life: ⁴⁰ Let thistles grow instead of wheat, and cockle instead of barley. The words of Job are ended.

¹² Look on everyone that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place. ¹³ Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret.

² There are many which say of my soul, "There is no help for him in God." Selah.

⁵ Through You will we push down our enemies: Through Your name will we tread under us those that rise up against us.

¹² Nevertheless, man being in honor does not remain: He is like the beasts that perish.

¹² Through God we shall do valiantly: For it is He that shall tread down our enemies.

⁶ I will send him against a hypocritical nation, and I will give him a charge against the people of my wrath, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire in the streets.

³ "I have trodden the winepress alone; and from the people there was no one with me: For I will tread them in My anger, and trample them in My fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled on My garments, and I will stain all My clothing.

¹³ O LORD, the hope of Israel, all who forsake you shall be ashamed, and they who depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.

¹³ You went forth for the salvation of Your people, even for salvation with Your anointed; You wounded the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation to the neck. Selah.

⁵ And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: And they shall fight, because the LORD is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.

³ And all of you shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this", says the LORD of hosts.

¹⁴ And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, "The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil on Absalom.

⁵ "For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, I will now arise", says the LORD; "I will set him in safety from he that puffs at him."puffs at him; or, would ensnare him

²⁰ As a dream when one awakes; so, O Lord, when You awake, you shall despise their image.

³ Lift up Your feet to the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy has wickedly done in the sanctuary.

⁸ You caused judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still, ⁹ when God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

⁶⁵ Then the LORD awaked as one out of sleep, and like a mighty man that shouts by reason of wine.

¹ O LORD God to whom vengeance belongs, O God, to whom vengeance belongs, show Yourself. ² Lift up Yourself, Judge of the earth: Render a recompense to the proud.

⁶ The LORD executes righteousness and judgment for all who are oppressed.

⁷ Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me: You shall stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand shall save me.

¹³ The LORD stands up to plead, and stands to judge the people.

¹⁰ Now I will rise", says the LORD; now I will be exalted; now I will lift myself up.

²⁰ Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the LORD, even You only."

⁹ Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Was it not You who cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?

¹¹ Let Mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of Your judgments.

¹⁰ The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance: He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. ¹¹ So that a man shall say, "Truly there is a reward for the righteous: Truly He is a God that judges in the earth."

⁴ The LORD on high is mightier than the thunders of many waters, yes, mightier than the mighty waves of the sea.

⁵ Who is like the LORD our God, Who dwells on high, ⁶ who humbles himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

⁶ Though the LORD is high, yet He has respect to the lowly: But the proud He knows afar off.

¹⁵ For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

¹⁷ saying, "We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which is, and was, and is to come; because You have taken to Yourself Your great power, and have reigned. ¹⁸ And the nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that You should give reward to Your servants the prophets, and to the saints, and those that fear Your name, small and great; and should destroy those which destroy the earth."

⁵ And I heard the angel of the waters say, "You are righteous, O Lord, which is, and was, and shall be, because You have judged thus. ⁶ For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink; for they are worthy of such." ⁷ And I heard another out of the altar say, "Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments."

²⁰ Rejoice over her, you heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets; for God has avenged you on her."

² For His judgments are true and righteous: For He has judged the great whore, which corrupted the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of His servants at her hand."

²⁵ Far be it from You to do hurt in this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: And that the righteous should be as the wicked, far be it from You: Shall the Judge of all the earth not do right?"

⁵³ The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge between us. And Jacob swore by the fear of his father Isaac.

¹² O our God, will you not judge them? For we have no might against this great company that comes against us; neither know we what to do: But our eyes are on you.

⁸ And He shall judge the world in righteousness, He shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.

⁴ The LORD is in His holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: His eyes behold and His eyelids examine the children of men.

² Let my sentence come forth from Your presence; let Your eyes behold the things that are equal. ³ You have proved my heart; You have visited me in the night; You have examined me, and shall find nothing; I have purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.

²⁰ The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. ²¹ For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God. ²² For all His judgments were before me, and I did not put away His statutes from me. ²³ I also was upright before Him, and I kept myself from my iniquity. ²⁴ Therefore the LORD has recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in His eyesight.

²¹ Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on You.

¹¹ But as for me, I will walk in my integrity: Redeem me, and be merciful to me.

²⁴ Judge me, O LORD my God, according to Your righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me. ²⁵ Let them not say in their hearts, "Ah, so we have our desire": Do not let them say, "We have swallowed him up." ²⁶ Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together who rejoice at my hurt: Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor that magnify themselves against me. ²⁷ Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: Yes, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.

¹² And as for me, You uphold me in my integrity, and set me before Your face forever.

¹ Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

⁷² So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.

¹ A Psalm of Asaph. God stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the gods.

¹³ before the LORD: For He comes, for He comes to judge the earth: He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with His truth.

⁹ before the LORD; for He comes to judge the earth: With righteousness He shall judge the world, and the people with equity.

¹ Better is the poor that walks in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.

³¹ Because He has appointed a day, in which He will judge the world in righteousness by that Man whom He has ordained; of which He has given assurance to all men, in that He has raised Him from the dead."

¹⁰ But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you disregard your brother as nothing? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. ¹¹ For it is written, "As I live, says the LORD, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God." ¹² So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

⁴ For I know nothing by myself; yet I am not justified by this: But He that judges me is the Lord. ⁵ Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: And then every man shall have praise from God.

¹² For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly toward you.

¹⁰ You are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we ourselves behaved among you who believe:

⁹ He will keep the feet of His saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

⁷ But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look on his countenance, nor on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart."

⁹ And you, Solomon my son, know you the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: For the LORD searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: If you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

⁵ You have rebuked the heathen, You have destroyed the wicked, You have put out their name forever and ever. ⁶ O enemy, your destructions have come to a perpetual end: And you have destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them.

¹⁵ Break the arm of the wicked and the evil man: Seek out his wickedness until You find none.

¹⁸ To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may oppress no more.

⁵ The LORD proves the righteous through testing: But His soul hates the wicked and him that loves violence.

³ You have proved my heart; You have visited me in the night; You have examined me, and shall find nothing; I have purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.

² Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; essay my inner reins and my heart.

²³ The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: And he delights in his way.

² He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings forth.

²¹ shall not God search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.

⁶ Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: Break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.

¹⁰ O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme Your name forever? ¹¹ Why do You withdraw Your hand, even Your right hand? Pluck it out of Your bosom.

²² Arise, O God, plead Your own cause: Remember how the foolish man reproaches You daily. ²³ Forget not the voice of Your enemies: The tumult of those that rise up against You increases continually.

¹ To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. O LORD, You have searched me, and known me.

³⁶ Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and eighty and five thousand: And when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses. ³⁷ So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelled at Nineveh. ³⁸ And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Armenia: And Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead.

²⁰ But, O LORD of hosts, who judges righteously, who tests the mind and the heart, let me see Your vengeance on them: For to you I have revealed my cause."

¹⁰ I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

¹² But, O LORD of hosts, who tests the righteous, and sees the mind and the heart, let me see Your vengeance upon them: For I have opened my cause to You.

⁴⁵ And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him."

²³ And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he did not give glory to God: And he was eaten by worms, and gave up the ghost.

²⁵ Now to Him that is powerful to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

¹³ Until the end may He establish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

¹⁰ But the God of all grace, who has called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

¹ Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:

²³ And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am He which searches the inner reins and hearts: And I will give to every one of you according to your works.

¹ After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, "Fear not, Abram: I am your shield, and your exceedingly great reward."

⁶ if you were pure and upright; surely now he would awake for you, and make the habitation of your righteousness prosperous.

³ But You, O LORD, are a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of my head.

¹ To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, the servant of the LORD, who spoke to the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: And he said, "I will love You, O LORD, my strength. ² The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler shield, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

¹¹ For the LORD God is a sun and shield: The LORD will give grace and glory: He will not withhold any good thing from those that walk uprightly.

¹⁸ For the LORD is our defense; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.

² His seed shall be mighty upon earth: The generation of the upright shall be blessed.

⁴ Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts.

²¹ For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.

²⁰ Those that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: But such as are upright in their way are His delight.

¹⁸ Whoever walks uprightly shall be saved: But he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.

⁸ The LORD shall judge the people: Judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity that is in me.

⁶ And the heavens shall declare His righteousness: For God Himself is judge. Selah.

¹⁵ But judgment shall return to righteousness: And all the upright in heart shall follow it.

¹² I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor. ¹³ Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name: The upright shall dwell in Your presence.

² God is jealous, and the LORD revenges; the LORD revenges, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on His adversaries, and He reserves wrath for His enemies.

⁶ Who can stand before His indignation? And who can abide in the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by Him.abide: In Hebrew, stand up

⁴¹ If I whet my glittering sword, and my hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to my enemies, and will reward those that hate me.

⁴ Restore us, O God of our salvation, and cause Your anger toward us to cease.

¹ In that day the LORD shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent with His severe and great and strong sword, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and He shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

⁵ For My sword shall be bathed in heaven: Behold, it shall come down on Edom, and on the people of My curse, for judgment.

⁶ All of you seek the LORD while He may be found, call on Him while He is near: ⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: And let him return to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

¹⁸ I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself saying; 'You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bull unaccustomed to the yoke: Turn me, and I shall be turned; for you are the LORD My God. ¹⁹ Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote on my thigh: I was ashamed, yes, even confounded, because I bore the reproach of my youth.'

³⁰ Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, everyone according to his ways", said the Lord GOD. "Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

⁹ "Son of man, prophesy, and say, 'Thus says the LORD'; Say, 'A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished: ¹⁰ It is sharpened to make a severe slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter: Should we then make mirth? It scorns the rod of My son, as every tree. ¹¹ And He has given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: This sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer.'

²³ And it shall be to them as a false divination in their sight, to those who have sworn oaths: But He will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken.

¹¹ Say to them, 'As I live', said the Lord GOD, 'I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: Turn yourself, turn from your evil ways; for why will you die, O house of Israel?'

¹⁰ And even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees: Therefore every tree which does not bring forth good fruit is hewed down, and cast into the fire.

¹⁹ Therefore repent, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord shall come;

²³ I will heap mischiefs on them; I will spend my arrows on them.

⁴² I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges on the enemy.

⁴ For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, the poison whereof drinks up my spirit: The terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.

² For lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privately shoot at the upright in heart.

¹⁴ Yes, He sent out His arrows, and scattered them; and He shot out lightning, and discomfited them.

⁵ Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; by which the people fall under You.

³ Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:

⁷ But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly they shall be wounded.

⁶ Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: Shoot out Your arrows, and destroy them.

¹² He has bent His bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow. ¹³ He has caused the arrows of His quiver to enter into my reins.

¹¹ The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: At the light of Your arrows they went, and at the shining of Your glittering spear.

⁶ Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to those that trouble you;

¹⁰ And they cried out with a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, will You not judge and avenge our blood on those that dwell on the earth?"

⁶ For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink; for they are worthy of such."

²⁰ The wicked man travails with pain all his days, and the number of years is hidden to the oppressor.

³⁵ They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their belly prepares deceit.

¹¹ You shall conceive chaff, you shall bring forth stubble: Your breath shall devour you as fire.

⁴ No one calls for justice, nor does anyone plead for truth: They trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity. ⁵ They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: He who eats of their eggs dies, and that which is crushed breaks out into a viper.

¹⁵ Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: And sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.

¹⁰ So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king's wrath was pacified.

⁸ Even as I have seen, those that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.

²⁷ Yes, you overwhelm the fatherless, and you dig a pit for your friend.

¹⁵ The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: Their own foot is caught in the net which they hid. ¹⁶ The LORD is known by the judgment which He executes: The wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.

² The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor: Let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.

⁷ For without cause they have hid their net in a pit for me, and without cause they have dug for my soul. ⁸ Let destruction come upon him unexpectedly; and let his net that he has hid catch himself: Into that very destruction let him fall.

⁶ They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: They have dug a pit before me, into the midst of which they themselves have fallen. Selah.

¹³ that You may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked.

⁸⁵ The proud have dug pits for me, who are not following Your law.

⁹ "As for the head of those that compass around me, let the mischief of their own lips cover them. ¹⁰ Let burning coals fall upon them: Let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they do not rise up again.

¹⁰ Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I escape with the rest.

²² His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be held with the cords of his sins.

²⁷ Whoever digs a pit shall fall in it: And he that rolls a stone, it will return upon him.

⁸ He that digs a pit shall fall into it; and whoever breaks a hedge, a serpent shall bite him. ⁹ Whoever removes stones shall be hurt by them; and he who splits wood shall be endangered by it.

²⁰ Shall evil be recompensed for good? For they have dug a pit for my soul. Remember that I stood before you to speak good for them, and to turn away Your wrath from them.

⁹ And David knew that Saul secretly practiced mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, "Bring here the ephod."

¹² The LORD judge between me and you, and the LORD avenge me of you: But my hand shall not be upon you. ¹³ As the proverb of the ancients says, 'Wickedness proceeds from the wicked': But my hand shall not be upon you.

¹⁰ David furthermore said, "As the LORD lives, the LORD shall smite him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall descend into battle, and perish.

¹⁹ Moreover the LORD will also deliver Israel with you into the hand of the Philistines: And tomorrow you and your sons shall be with me: The LORD shall also deliver the host of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.

³ And the battle went intensely against Saul, and the archers hit him; and he was severely wounded by the archers. ⁴ Then Saul said to his armor-bearer, "Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it; lest these uncircumcised ones come and thrust me through, and abuse me." But his armor-bearer would not; for he was greatly afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.

³² And the LORD shall return his blood on his own head, who fell on two men more righteous and better than he, and slew them with the sword, my father David not knowing of it, to wit, Abner the son of Ner, captain of the host of Israel, and Amasa the son of Jether, captain of the host of Judah.

²⁵ but when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.

⁴ He devises mischief upon his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he does not abhor evil.

¹² There the workers of iniquity are fallen: They are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.

¹² The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes on him with his teeth. ¹³ The Lord shall laugh at him: For He sees that his day is coming.

³ Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it. ⁴ And all of you shall know that I have sent this commandment to you, that My covenant might be with Levi", says the LORD of hosts. ⁵ "My covenant of life and peace was with him; and I gave them to him for the fear with which he feared Me, and was afraid before My name.

² I will be glad and rejoice in You: I will sing praise to Your name, O most High.

²⁸ And my tongue shall speak of Your righteousness and of Your praise all the day long.

¹⁴ Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, You are the God of my salvation: And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.

¹⁵ My mouth shall show forth Your righteousness and Your salvation all the day long; for I do not know their numbers. ¹⁶ I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of Your righteousness, even of Yours only.

¹ A Psalm or Song for the Sabbath Day. It is a good thing to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High:

⁸ But You, LORD, are most high forevermore.

² The LORD has made known His salvation: He has openly shown His righteousness in the sight of the heathen.

³ His work is honorable and glorious: And His righteousness endures forever.

⁷ They shall abundantly utter the memory of Your great goodness, and shall sing of Your righteousness.

¹⁷ This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: To the intent that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He will, and sets up over it the basest of men.'

²⁵ That they shall drive you from men, and your dwelling shall be with the wild beasts of the field, and they shall make you to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet you with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He will.

³⁴ And at the end of the days, I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me, and I blessed the Most High, and I praised and honored Him that lives forever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation:

⁴⁸ "Nevertheless, the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands; as the prophet says,
