¹⁴ LORD, why do You cast off my soul? Why do You hide Your face from me?

²⁴ Why do You hide Your face, and hold me for your enemy?

¹ How long will You forget me, O LORD? Forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?

² For You are the God of my strength: Why do you cast me off? Why do I go about mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

⁹ But You have cast off, and put us to shame; and do not go forth with our armies.

²⁴ Why do You hide Your face, and forget our affliction and our oppression?

¹⁷ And do not hide Your face from Your servant; for I am in trouble: Hear me speedily.
