¹⁴ For the LORD will not cast off His people, nor will He forsake His inheritance.

⁹ For the LORD's portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

²² For the LORD will not forsake His people for His great name's sake: Because it has pleased the LORD to make you His people.

¹² What man is he that desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good?

²⁸ For the LORD loves judgment, and does not forsake His saints; they are preserved forever: But the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

⁵ They break Your people in pieces, O LORD, and afflict Your heritage.

¹⁴ But Zion said, "The LORD has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me." ¹⁵ "Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, they may forget, yet I will not forget you.

¹⁶ The portion of Jacob is not like them: For He is the former of all things; and Israel is the rod of His inheritance: The LORD of hosts is His name.

³⁹ And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them, and of their children after them: ⁴⁰ And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from Me.

²⁷ My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: ²⁸ And I give them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. ²⁹ My Father, which gave them to Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father's hand. ³⁰ I and My Father are one." ³¹ Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him.

³⁰ Moreover, whom He predestined, these He also called: Whom He called, these He also justified: And whom He justified, these He also glorified.

³⁸ For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, ³⁹ nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹ I say then, has God cast away His people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. ² God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Do you not know what the scripture says of Elijah? How he makes intercession to God against Israel, saying,

¹⁸ The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

⁵ Let your behavior be without covetousness; and be content with such things as you have: For He has said, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you."
