⁶ Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm: For love is as strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: The coals of it are coals of fire, which has a most vehement flame.

⁹ And you shall take two onyx stones, and engrave on them the names of the children of Israel: ¹⁰ Six of their names on one stone, and the other six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth. ¹¹ With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, you shall engrave the two stones with the names of the children of Israel: You shall make them to be set in socketed settings of gold. ¹² And you shall put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod for stones of memorial to the children of Israel: And Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a memorial.

²¹ And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet; every one with his name, they shall be according to the twelve tribes.

²⁹ And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goes in to the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually. ³⁰ And you shall put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goes in before the LORD: And Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually.

¹⁴ and the spirit of jealousy come on him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled: Or if the spirit of jealousy come on him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be not defiled:

¹¹ phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.

²¹ They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: And I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

³⁴ For jealousy is the rage of a man: Therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.

²² For you shall heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward you.

⁸ I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if you find my beloved, that you tell him, that I am sick with love.

¹⁶ Behold, I have graven you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me.

²⁴ "As I live", said the LORD, "though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet on my right hand, yet would I pluck you off;

²³ In that day', says the LORD of hosts, 'I will take you, O Zerubbabel, My servant, the son of Shealtiel,' says the LORD, 'and will make you as a signet: For I have chosen you', says the LORD of hosts."

⁹ For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: Behold, I will engrave the carved work upon it', says the LORD of hosts, 'and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

¹⁵ So when they had dined, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Feed My lambs." ¹⁶ He said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." Jesus said to him, "Feed My sheep. ¹⁸ Truly, truly, I say to you, When you were young, you girded yourself, and walked wherever you desired: But when you are old, you shall stretch forth your hands, and another shall gird you, and carry you where you would not have gone." ¹⁹ This He spoke, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, "Follow Me."

²⁴ But none of these things move me, neither do I count my life dear to myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received from the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

¹³ Then Paul answered, "What makes you weep and to break my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus."

²⁰ Therefore "If your enemy hungers, feed him; if he thirsts, give him a drink: For in so doing you shall heap coals of fire upon his head."

¹⁴ For the love of Christ constrains us; because we thus judge, that if One died for all, then all were dead: ¹⁵ And that He died for all, that those who live should no longer live to themselves, but to Him which died for them, and rose again.

² For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: For I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

²⁰ according to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing shall I be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. ²¹ For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. ²² But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labor: Yet I do not know what I shall choose. ²³ For I am in a difficult strait between two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

¹⁹ Nevertheless the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal: "The Lord knows those that are His." And, "Let everyone that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity."

¹¹ And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they did not love their lives to the death.
