⁷ For man indeed ought not to have his head covered, he being an image and a glory of God; but woman is a glory of man;

²⁶ Then God said, "Let us make man after our image and after a likeness; and let them have dominion over the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the air, and the cattle, and the whole earth, and all the reptiles which creep on the earth." ²⁷ So God made man. After an image of God he made him. A male and a female he made them.

¹⁶ And to the woman he said, "I will greatly multiply thy sorrows and thy anguish. With sorrows thou shalt bear children and to thy husband shall be thy recourse, and he shall rule over thee."

¹ This is the genealogy of men. On the day God made Adam, he made him after an image of God.

⁶ He who sheddeth man's blood shall for it have his own blood poured out; for in an image of God I have made man.

⁶ and set him over the works of thy hands. Thou hast put all things under his feet;

³ and I wish you to know that the Christ is the head of every man; and that the head of woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
