⁴ Now when the messengers came to Gabaa, to Saul, and delivered this message in the hearing of the people, all the people raised their voice, and wept.

⁴ And when the messenger of the Lord had spoken these words to all the children of Israel, the people wept aloud.

² So when the people came to Baithel they sat there till evening before God, then raising their voice, they wept bitterly

²⁶ And Saul went to his house at Gabaa, and there went with Saul a band of men, whose hearts the Lord had touched.

² Now Saul had posted himself on the top of the hill, in the pomegranate grove, at Magdon, and there were with him about six hundred men;

³⁴ Then Samuel went to Armathaim, and Saul went up to his house to Gabaa,

⁴ David and his men raised their voices, and wept till they had no more power to weep.

⁶ Give us seven men of his sons, and let us crucify to the Lord at Gabaon those of Saul who are the choice of the Lord. And the king said, I will give them.

¹⁵ Set your hearts on this with respect to each other"to rejoice with them who rejoice, and to weep with them who weep.

²⁶ so that if one member suffereth, all the rest suffer with it; and if one member is honoured, all the rest rejoice with it.

² Bear one another's burdens and so fulfil the law of the Christ.

³ Remember them who are in bonds, as if you were bound with them; them who suffer ill treatment, as being yourselves in the body.
