¹³ I charge thee in the presence of God, who giveth life to all, and of Christ Jesus who witnessed before Pontius Pilate the good confession,

³⁹ See! See! that I am the Self existent, And that there is no Clod besides me; I kill, and I can cause to live, I can smite and I can heal, And none can rescue out of my hand:

⁶ The Lord killeth, and giveth life; He bringeth down to the grave, and raiseth up.

²¹ For as the Father raiseth the dead and restoreth to life, so the Son restoreth to life, whom he pleaseth.

²⁵ These things I have spoken to you, while I remain with you. ²⁶ But the Monitor the Holy Spirit which the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

³⁶ Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my attendants would have fought to prevent my being delivered up to the Jews. But now my kingdom is not of this world. ³⁷ Thereupon Pilate said to him, Thou art a king then? Jesus answered, It is as thou sayest, I am a king. For this I was born, and for this I came into the world, to bear testimony for the truth. Every one who is of the truth hearkeneth to my voice.

¹¹ Jesus answered, Thou couldst have no power at all against me, if it were not given thee from above; therefore he who delivered me up to thee hath the greater sin.

²⁵ nor is he served by the hands of men, as needing any thing. He is the giver of life and breath, and of all things, to all,

⁵ For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

²¹ I charge thee before the God and Lord Jesus Christ, and the chosen angels, to observe these things without prejudging, and to do nothing by partiality.

¹² Maintain the good combat of faith. Lay hold on the life everlasting to which thou hast been invited, and of which thou hast made a good profession before many witnesses.

⁵ and from Jesus Christ who is the faithful witness, the first born from the dead, and the sovereign of the kings of the earth. To him who hath loved us, and washed us from our sins with his blood,
