⁵ And if the servant shall answer and say, I love my master and my wife and my children, I will not go away free,

¹⁶ And if he shall say to thee, I will not go away from thee, because he hath loved thee, and thy family, and is well with thee; ¹⁷ then thou shalt take an awl, and bore his ear against the door, and he shall be thy servant forever. And in the same manner thou shalt treat thy maid servant.

¹³ Lord, our God, take possession of us! Besides thee, Lord, we know none other. We celebrate thy name.

¹⁴ For the love of the Christ urgeth us on, judging this, that if one died for all then indeed were they all dying, ¹⁵ and that he died for all to the end that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for him who died and was raised up for them.
