³ And when all the Israelites saw the fire descending and the glory of the Lord on the house, they fell with their face to the ground on the pavement. And when they had worshipped, they sung to the Lord the hymn of praise, For it is good: for It is mercy endureth forever,

¹ A Psalm of praise. By David, I will extol thee, my God, my king: and bless thy name for ever and ever. ² Day by day I will bless thee, and praise thy name for ever and ever. ³ The Lord is great and greatly to be praised; and of his greatness there is no end. ⁴ Let generation after generation praise thy works, and proclaim thy mighty power: ⁵ Let them speak of the transcendant glory of thy majesty, and relate thy wonderous works. ⁶ Let them express the might of thine awful dealings, and rehearse thy greatness. ⁷ Let them make mention of thine abundant goodness, and exult with joy in thy saving mercy. ⁸ The Lord is gracious and merciful: long suffering and abundant in kindness. ⁹ The Lord is kind to them who wait, and his mercies are over all his works. ¹⁰ Let all thy works, O Lord, praise thee, and let thy saints bless thee; ¹¹ let them speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy government:

³ And they cried one to another and said, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Hosts; the whole earth is filled with his glory."

⁶ Shout for joy and be glad, inhabitants of Sion, for in the midst of it is exalted the Holy One of Israel.

²³ [c] Rejoice, O heavens! because God hath compassionated Israel. Utter sounds of joy, ye foundations of the earth! Burst forth into songs, ye mountains and hills, and all ye trees which are thereon! Because God hath redeemed Jacob and Israel shall be glorified. [[c] the chorus]

¹¹ there shall be heard again the sound of joy and the sound of mirth; the voice of bridegroom and the voice of the bride; the voice of people, saying, "Praise the Lord Almighty; for the Lord is gracious; for his mercy endureth forever." And they shall bring gifts to the house of the Lord. For I will bring back all the captivity of this land, as in former times, saith the Lord.

⁹ Rejoice exceedingly, O daughter of Sion! Make proclamation, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold thy king is coming for thee. He is righteous and a saviour. He is meek and mounted on an ass, even a young colt.

⁵⁰ Indeed his mercy on them who fear him, extendeth to generations of generations.

¹⁰ And he carried me away in spirit to a great and high mountain and shewed me the great city: the holy Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, ¹¹ having the glory of God. And its lustre was like a most precious stone, like a jasper shining as chrystal; ¹² and it had a great and high wall with twelve gates and at the gates twelve angels and [on the gates] were graven the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel ¹³ On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; on the west three gates. ¹⁴ And the wall of the city had twelve foundations on which were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
