¹⁷ For what is man, that thou hast magnified him; or that thou payest attention to him?

¹⁴ And now, after whom art thou coming out, king of Israel? And after whom art thou in pursuit? After a dead dog? Or after a flea?

¹² Am I a sea or a dragon, that thou hast set a guard over me?

¹⁴ For were it his pleasure to confine, and keep to himself, the wind, ¹⁵ all flesh would expire together; and every mortal would return to earth, of which they were formed.

³ Lord, what is man that thou shouldst acknowledge him, or a son of man that thou shouldst regard him!
