¹⁴ In fulfillment of these words in the Prophet Isaiah--

²² All this happened in fulfillment of these words of the Lord in the Prophet, where he says--

¹⁵ And there he stayed until Herod's death; in fulfillment of these words of the Lord in the Prophet, where he says--'Out of Egypt I called my Son.'

²³ And there he settled in the town of Nazareth, in fulfillment of these words in the Prophets--'He will be called a Nazarene.'

¹⁷ In fulfillment of these words in the Prophet Isaiah--'He took our infirmities on himself, and bore the burden of our diseases.'

¹⁷ in fulfillment of these words in the Prophet Isaiah-- ¹⁸ 'Behold! the Servant of my Choice, My Beloved, in whom my heart delights! ⁵⁶ The whole of this occurred in fulfillment of the Prophetic Scriptures. Then the disciples all forsook him and fled.

³⁷ For, I tell you, that passage of Scripture must be fulfilled in me, which says--'He was counted among the godless'; indeed all that refers to me is finding its fulfillment."

⁴⁴ "This is what I told you," he said, "when I was still with you--that everything that had been written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms, must be fulfilled."

²⁵ And so is fulfilled what is said in their Law--'They hated me without cause.'
