²⁹ Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

¹⁰ To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; (o. pneuma) to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

³⁹ Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.

¹⁹ Quench not the Spirit. (o. pneuma) ²⁰ Despise not prophesyings. ²¹ Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

¹ Beloved, believe not every spirit, (o. pneuma) but try the spirits (o. pneuma) whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. ² Hereby know all of you the Spirit (o. pneuma) of God: Every spirit (o. pneuma) that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God: ³ And every spirit (o. pneuma) that confesses not that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof all of you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
