⁷ Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates.

³⁸ But Joshua the son of Nun, which stands before you, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.

¹ Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. ² But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law does he meditate day and night. ³ And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he does shall prosper.

¹ Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? ² The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, ³ Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. ⁴ He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision. ⁵ Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. ⁶ Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

¹⁴ Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

¹ The LORD hear you in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend you;

⁴ Grant you according to your own heart, and fulfill all your counsel.

⁹ Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call.

¹ My son, if you will receive my words, and hide my commandments with you; ² So that you incline your ear unto wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding; ³ Yea, if you cry after knowledge, and lift up your voice for understanding; ⁴ If you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hid treasures; ⁵ Then shall you understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

² After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

⁴ Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, says the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land, says the LORD, and work: for I am with you, says the LORD of hosts:

⁹ Thus says the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, all of you that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.

²¹ Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.

²⁴ Therefore whosoever hears these sayings (o. logos) of mine, and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

³⁵ A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.

²⁶ But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; ²⁷ And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

⁹ And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

⁹ Then spoke the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not your peace: ¹⁰ For I am with you, and no man shall set on you to hurt you: for I have much people in this city.

¹ Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

³¹ What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

³⁷ Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

¹ Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. ² Whosoever therefore resists the power, resists the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. ³ For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Will you then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and you shall have praise of the same: ⁴ For he is the minister of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid; for he bears not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that does evil. ⁵ Wherefore all of you must essentially be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

²⁶ And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

⁵ Does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil;

¹³ Watch all of you, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

¹³ For, brethren, all of you have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love (o. agape) serve one another.

² Bear all of you one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

²⁹ Let no corrupt communication (o. logos) proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

¹⁰ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

²¹ In order to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. ²² But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I know not. ²³ For I am in a strait between two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: ²⁴ Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more necessary for you. ²⁵ And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; ²⁶ That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.

⁴ Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

¹⁶ Let the (o. logos) word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

¹ I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; ² For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

¹⁴ Neglect not the gift that is in you, which was given you by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. ¹⁵ Meditate upon these things; give yourself wholly to them; that your profiting may appear to all. ¹⁶ Take heed unto yourself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this you shall both save yourself, and them that hear you.

¹ You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

¹⁷ Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

¹ Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,

⁵ And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; ⁶ But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

²³ And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: ²⁴ But this man, because he continues ever, has an unchangeable priesthood.

²⁸ He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: ²⁹ Of how much greater punishment, suppose all of you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite unto the Spirit (o. pneuma) of grace?

²⁵ See that all of you refuse not him that speaks. For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven:

⁵ Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as all of you have: for he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you.

¹ James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

²² But be all of you doers of the word, (o. logos) and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. ²³ For if any be a hearer of the word, (o. logos) and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: ²⁴ For he beholds himself, and goes his way, and immediately forgets what manner of man he was. ²⁵ But whoso looks into the perfect law of liberty, and continues therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

¹³ Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; ¹⁴ Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. ¹⁵ For so is the will of God, that with well doing all of you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

¹⁸ I am he that lives, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

⁴ And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

¹⁴ Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
