¹⁷ Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

⁸ When you build a new house, then you shall make a battlement for your roof, that you bring not blood upon your house, if any man fall from thence.

²⁵ And when they were come down from the high place into the city, Samuel communed with Saul upon the top of the house.

⁴ And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man has will he give for his life.

⁴ Give not sleep to your eyes, nor slumber to your eyelids. ⁵ Deliver yourself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.

²⁷ What I tell you in darkness, that speak all of you in light: and what all of you hear in the ear, that preach all of you upon the housetops.

¹⁵ And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house: ¹⁶ And let him that is in the field not turn back again in order to take up his garment.

¹⁹ And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.

³ Therefore whatsoever all of you have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which all of you have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
