⁵¹ And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and stroke off his ear.

³⁵ Peter said unto him, Though I should die with you, yet will I not deny you. Likewise also said all the disciples.

⁴⁷ And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and stroke a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

⁵⁵ But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, All of you know not what manner of spirit (o. pneuma) all of you are of.

And he touched his ear, and healed him.

¹⁰ Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and stroke the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus. ¹¹ Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up your sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father has given me, shall I not drink it?

³⁶ Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from behind.
