³ Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.

⁴ Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.

³ Which say, It is not near; let us build houses: this city is the caldron, and we be the flesh.

⁶ All of you have multiplied your slain in this city, and all of you have filled the streets thereof with the slain. ⁷ Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Your slain whom all of you have laid in the midst of it, they are the flesh, and this city is the caldron: but I will bring you forth out of the midst of it.
