⁷ Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

²⁶ And Saul went on this side of the mountain, and David and his men on that side of the mountain: and David made haste to get away for fear of Saul; for Saul and his men compassed David and his men round about to take them. ²⁷ But there came a messenger unto Saul, saying, Haste you, and come; for the Philistines have invaded the land.

¹⁴ After whom is the king of Israel come out? after whom do you pursue? after a dead dog, after a flea. ¹⁵ The LORD therefore be judge, and judge between me and you, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of your hand.

²⁹ Yet a man has risen to pursue you, and to seek your soul: but the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life with the LORD your God; and the souls of your enemies, them shall he sling out, as out of the middle of a sling.

² And I will come upon him while he is weary and weak handed, and will make him afraid: and all the people that are with him shall flee; and I will strike the king only:

²¹ And it came to pass, after they were departed, that they came up out of the well, and went and told king David, and said unto David, Arise, and pass quickly over the water: for thus has Ahithophel counselled against you. ²² Then David arose, and all the people that were with him, and they passed over Jordan: by the morning light there lacked not one of them that was not gone over Jordan.

¹⁵ Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.

³ Surely he shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the dangerous pestilence.

⁵ Deliver yourself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.

²⁶ For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that sets snares; they set a trap, they catch men.

²² Let a cry be heard from their houses, when you shall bring a troop suddenly upon them: for they have dug a pit to take me, and hid snares for my feet.

²⁶ And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
