¹² Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but be an example for other believers in your speech, behavior, love, faithfulness, and purity.

¹⁵ But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do,

¹² Conduct yourselves with such honor among the Gentiles that, though they slander you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day He visits us.

⁵ For so of old the holy women who hoped in God adorned themselves. They were submissive to their own husbands, ⁶ Thus Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: and you are her daughters, if you do right, and do not give way to fear.

¹⁵ But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to articulate a defense to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But respond with gentleness and respect, ¹⁶ and keep a clear conscience, so that, when you are abused, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.
