⁹ Make an uproar, you peoples, and be broken in pieces! Listen, all you from far countries: dress for battle, and be shattered! Dress for battle, and be shattered! ¹⁰ ⌊Make a plan⌋, but it will be frustrated! Speak a word, but it will not stand, for God is with us!

¹¹ Now also many nations are gathered against you, who say, Let her be defiled, and let our eyes look on Zion. ¹² But they do not know the thoughts of the LORD, and they do not understand his plan, that he has gathered them as sheaves to his threshing floor.

² I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem, to lay siege against it. The city will be captured, the houses will be ransacked, the women raped, and half of the city will go into exile, but the remaining people will not be cut off from the city. ³ Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

¹⁹ Then I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army. ²⁰ But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed signs on his behalf, by which he deceived those who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. Both of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. ²¹ The rest were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of him who sat on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves upon their bodies.
