Deuteronomy 7:7 Cross References - VIN

⁷ The LORD did not set his love on you, nor choose you, because you were more in number than any people; for you were the fewest of all peoples:

²² Your ancestors went down to Egypt with seventy people, but the LORD your God has now made you as numerous as the stars in the sky."

¹ Not to us, LORD, not to us, but to your name be given glory on account of your gracious love and faithfulness.

² "Look to Abraham, your father, and to Sarah, who gave you birth. When I called him he was only one. I blessed him and made him many."

¹⁴ But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.

³² Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom.

¹¹ Yet before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad, in order that God’s plan of election might stand, ¹² not by works but by Him who calls, she was told, “The older will serve the younger.” ¹³ just as it is written, "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated." ¹⁴ What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Absolutely not! ¹⁵ For he says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."

¹⁸ Therefore God has mercy on whom He wants to have mercy, and He hardens whom He wants to harden.

²¹ Does not the potter have the right to make from the same lump of clay one vessel for noble use, and another for common use?

²⁷ Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the Israelites is like the sand of the sea, only the remnant will be saved. ²⁸ For the Lord will carry out his sentence on the earth with speed and finality." ²⁹ It is just as Isaiah predicted: “Unless the Lord of Hosts had left us descendants, we would have become like Sodom, we would have resembled Gomorrah.”

⁶ And if it is by grace, then it is no longer by works. Otherwise, grace would no longer be grace.

¹ Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.

¹⁰ In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
