¹ And the LORD said to Moses, Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh. For by a strong hand he will let them go and by a strong hand he will drive them out of his land. ² And God said to Moses, I am the LORD: ³ "I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as God Almighty, but by my name, the LORD, I did not make myself known to them. ⁴ "I also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land in which they lived as foreigners. ⁵ And I also have heard the groaning of the sons of Israel, whom the Egyptians are enslaving. And I have remembered My covenant. ⁶ Therefore say to the Israelites, 'I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the forced labor of Egypt, and I will deliver you from their slavery, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great punishments. ⁷ I'll take you for my own people, and I'll be your God. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. ⁸ And I will bring you into the land which I raised My hand to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. And I will give it to you for a possession. I am the LORD! ⁹ And Moses spoke thus to the Israelites, but they did not listen to Moses, because of discouragement and because of hard work. ¹⁰ Then the LORD said to Moses, ¹¹ "Go, speak to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, that he should let the Israelites go out of his land." ¹² And Moses spoke before the LORD, saying, "Look, the Israelites do not listen to me, and how will Pharaoh listen to me, since I am a poor speaker?" ¹³ And the lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, and he ordered them to Pharaoh king of Egypt, so as to lead out the sons of Israel from out of the land of Egypt. ¹⁴ These are the heads of their families. The sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel, are Enoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi. These are the clans of Reuben. ¹⁵ The sons of Simeon are Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar and Shaul, the son of the Canaanitess; these are the families of Simeon. ¹⁶ These are the names of Levi's sons according to their genealogies: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. Levi lived 137 years. ¹⁷ The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei in their kindreds. ¹⁸ Kohath's descendants included Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel. Now Kohath lived for 133 years. ¹⁹ And the sons of Merari: Mahli, and Mushi. These were the families of Levi according to their generations. ²⁰ Amram married Jocebed, his father's sister, and she bore him Aaron and Moses. Amram lived for 137 years. ²¹ The sons of Izhar are Korah, Nepheg and Zichri. ²² The sons of Uzziel are Mishael, Elzaphan and Sithri. ²³ Aaron married Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab, the sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar. ²⁴ The sons of Korah are Assir, Elkanah and Abiasaph. These are the Korahite families. ²⁵ But Eleazar the son of Aaron took a wife of the daughters of Phutiel: and she bore him Phinees. These are the heads of the Levitical families by their kindreds. ²⁶ This is the same Aaron and Moses to whom the LORD said, "Bring the Israelites out of the land of Egypt by their tribal divisions." ²⁷ They were the ones who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt about bringing out the sons of Israel from Egypt. It was the same Moses and Aaron. ²⁸ On the day when the LORD spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt, ²⁹ the LORD said to Moses, “I am the LORD. Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I tell you.” ³⁰ And Moses said before the LORD, Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips. How could Pharaoh listen to me?

¹⁹ But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go, but by a mighty hand. ²⁰ "So I will stretch out my hand and strike Egypt with all my wonders that I will do in it’s midst. After that he will let you go.

¹ Then the LORD told Moses, "I'll bring one more plague on Pharaoh and Egypt. After that he'll let you leave from here, and when he lets you go, he will certainly drive you out from here.

³¹ And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up! Get away from my people, both you and the sons of Israel! And go serve the LORD, as you have said.

³³ The Egyptians begged the people to leave the country quickly. They said: "We will all be dead soon!"

³⁹ With the dough they had brought from Egypt, they baked round, flat bread. The dough had not risen because they had been thrown out of Egypt and had no time to prepare food for the trip.

³ And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of slavery; for the LORD has brought you out of here with a strong hand; therefore, ye shall not eat with leaven.

¹³ Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will work for you today: for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall never, ever see again.

²³ For there is not a spell against Jacob, nor any divination against Israel. Now it is said of Jacob and Israel, See what God has done!

³⁴ Or has a god ever attempted to go to take for himself a nation from the midst of a nation, using trials and signs and wonders and war, with an outstretched arm and with great and awesome deeds, like all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

³⁹ See, now, that I, even I am he, and there is not a god besides me; I put to death and I give life; I wound and I heal; there is not one who delivers from my hand!

² The personal attendant of the king said to Elisha: "If the LORD could make floodgates in the heavens could this happen?" Elisha replied: "You will see it with your own eyes. But you will not eat from it."

¹⁹ The king’s attendant answered: "If the LORD could open floodgates in the heavens could this happen?" Elisha had replied: "You shall see with your own eyes. But you will not eat from it."

¹⁷ You will not need to fight this battle. Set yourselves, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed. Go out against them tomorrow, for the LORD is with you.'"

⁵ Because of the oppression of the weak and because of the groaning of the needy, I will now arise, says the LORD; I will set him in safety from those who malign him.

¹³ Yours is an arm with mastery; Your hand is strong; Your right hand is exalted.

¹² With a mighty hand and stretched-out arm! For his mercy endureth forever.

¹² Who caused his glorious arm to be at Moses' right hand? Who divided the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name?

³³ '"As I am alive,' declares the Sovereign LORD, 'I will rule you with a mighty hand and a powerful arm. I will pour out my fury. ³⁴ And I will bring you out from among the peoples and gather you from the countries where you have been scattered with a strong hand and an up lifted arm and with out poured wrath.

⁷ He said to him, "I am the LORD who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it."

⁶ Therefore say to the Israelites, 'I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the forced labor of Egypt, and I will deliver you from their slavery, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great punishments.

⁸ And I will bring you into the land which I raised My hand to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. And I will give it to you for a possession. I am the LORD!

¹⁸ "Then the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD, when I am honored through Pharaoh, through his chariots and his horsemen."

¹ The entire congregation of Israelites left the desert of Sin and traveled from place to place as the LORD commanded them. They camped at Rephidim, but there was no water for the people to drink.

² "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

⁸ I am the LORD; that is my name, and I do not give my glory to another, nor my praise to the idols.

¹¹ I, even I, am the LORD; and besides me there is no savior.

¹⁵ I am the LORD, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King."

⁶ the LORD says thus, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the first and I am the last and besides me there is no God.

²⁴ but let him who boasts boast in this, that he has understanding, and knows me, that I am the LORD who exercises loving kindness, justice, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight," says the LORD.

⁶ For I, the LORD, do not change. Therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.

²⁴ The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples made by human hands. ²⁵ Nor is He served by human hands, as if He needed anything, because He Himself gives all men life and breath and everything else.

⁷ And the LORD appeared to Abram and said, "To your offspring I will give this land." And he built an altar there to the LORD, who had appeared to him. ⁸ From there he went on toward the hills east of Bethel and pitched his tent. Bethel was on the west and Ai on the east. He built an altar to the LORD and called on the name of the LORD.

¹⁸ Abram moved his tents and went to live near the great trees of Mamre at Hebron. He built an altar to the LORD there.

¹ Abram was ninety-nine years old. the LORD appeared to him and said: "I am God Almighty. Walk before me and be blameless.

¹⁴ And Abraham called the name of that place "the LORD will provide," for which reason it is said today, "on the mountain of the LORD it shall be provided."

³ May God Almighty bless you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, that you may be a company of peoples,

¹¹ God said to him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply. A nation and a company of nations will be from you, and kings will come out of your body.

³ Jacob said to Joseph, God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,

¹⁴ And God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM. And he said, Thus you will say to the sons of Israel, I AM has sent me to you.

⁴ Sing to God, sing praises to his name: extol him who rides upon the heavens by his name, the LORD, and rejoice before him.

¹⁸ And let them know Your name is the LORD, that You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

⁵ "What do I have here?" Declares the LORD. "For my people have been taken away for nothing. Those who rule them mock," declares the LORD. "And all day long my name is constantly blasphemed. ⁶ "Therefore my people will all know my name! In that day they will know that it is I who foretold it. Yes, it is I!"

⁵⁸ “Truly, truly, I tell you,” Jesus declared, “before Abraham was born, I am!”

⁴ John, To the seven churches in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you from Him who is and was and is to come, and from the sevenfold Spirit before His throne,

¹⁸ "But I will establish my covenant with you. You will enter the ark, you and your sons and your wife and your sons' wives with you.

¹³ And he said to Abram, "Know for sure that your descendants will live as foreigners in a land that is not theirs; and they will serve them. And they will oppress them four hundred years.

¹⁸ On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram. He said: "To your descendants I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates,

⁴ »This is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations.

⁷ "I will establish my covenant as a long lasting covenant between us. It will be for your descendants after you, for the generations to come. I will be your God and the God of your descendants after you. ⁸ "The whole land of Canaan, where you are now a guest (alien) (foreigner) (stranger), I will give a long lasting possession to you and your descendants after you. I will be their God."

¹³ "Whether born in your household or bought with your money, they must be circumcised. My covenant in your flesh is to be a long lasting covenant.

⁴ I am a stranger and sojourner among you: give me the right of a burying place with you, that I may bury my dead.

³ Stay in this land, and I will be with you and bless you, for to you and to your seed I will give all these lands. And I will cause to rise My oath which I swore to your father Abraham.

⁴ "He will bless you and your descendants as he blessed Abraham. You may take possession of this land, in which you have lived and which God gave to Abraham!"

¹³ And he saw the Lord by his side, saying, I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac: I will give to you and to your seed this land on which you are sleeping.

⁵ Truly is not so my house with God? since he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, firm in all, and sure? yea, will he not cause to grow all my salvation, and all my desire?

¹² When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.

³ Give ear and come to me; listen to me, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.

⁵ He gave him no inheritance here, not even a foot of ground. But God promised to give possession of the land to Abraham and his descendants, even though he did not yet have a child.

¹ God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark. He sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded.

¹⁵ "I will remember my covenant with you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters flood to destroy all life.

²⁴ God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

⁷ The LORD said, "I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.

⁸ He remembered his covenant forever, the word he commanded to a thousand generations.

⁴⁴ Yet he looked upon their distress when he heard their cry. ⁴⁵ he remembered his covenant and according to the multitude of his mercies;

⁹ In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and in his pity he redeemed them. He bore them, and carried them all the days of old.

⁵⁴ He has helped His servant Israel, remembering to be merciful,

⁷² to show mercy to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;

¹⁷ And I have said it, that I will bring you out of the tribulation of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites: even a land that floweth with milk and honey.'

² And God said to Moses, I am the LORD:

²⁹ the LORD said to Moses, “I am the LORD. Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I tell you.”

⁴ But Pharaoh will not listen to you, so I will lay my hand on Egypt, and bring out my armies, my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.

¹³ In your loyal love you led the people whom you redeemed; in your strength you guided them to the abode of your holiness.

²³ Be careful, lest you forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make yourselves a carved image in the form of anything which the LORD your God has forbidden you.

⁸ But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn to your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bond-men, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

¹⁵ "Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you. Therefore I command you this today!

⁸ »‘the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with great terror and with signs and wonders.

³⁶ But the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power and with an outstretched arm, him you will fear and to him you will bow yourselves and to him you will sacrifice.

²¹ And who is like your people Israel, the one nation upon earth whom God went to redeem for himself, to establish for you a reputation for great and awesome things, to drive out nations from before your people whom you redeemed from Egypt?

¹⁰ and they are your servants and your people whom you redeemed by your great force and by your strong hand.

⁶ I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were freed from the basket.

¹¹ and brought Israel out from among them; for His mercy endures forever; ¹² With a mighty hand and stretched-out arm! For his mercy endureth forever.

¹² The Arameans from the east and the Philistines from the west have devoured Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger has not turned away. His hand (power) is still stretched out (extended).

¹⁷ Therefore the Lord will have no joy in their young men, neither will have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is a hypocrite and an evil-doer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

²¹ Manasseh, Ephraim and Ephraim, Manasseh and together they will be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

⁷ And I said to them, Cast away every man the abominations of his eyes and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt. I am the LORD your God. ⁸ But they rebelled against me and would not listen to me. They did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt. ⁹ But I worked for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, among which they were, in whose sight I made myself known to them, in bringing them out of the land of Egypt.

⁴ The king of Egypt replied to them, "Moses and Aaron, why are you keeping the people from their labor? Go back to your work!" ⁵ Then Pharaoh said, "Look, the people in the land are now numerous, and you are stopping them from working."

¹² "I have heard the grumblings of the Israelites. Speak to them, saying, 'At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be full with bread, and you will know that I am the LORD your God.'"

⁵ ‘If you will obey me and are faithful to the terms of my covenant, then out of all the nations you will be my own special possession, for all the earth is mine. ⁶ but you, you will belong to me as a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words that you will speak to the Israelites."

⁴⁵ I'll dwell among the Israelites, and I'll be their God. ⁴⁶ They shall know that I am the LORD their God who brought them out of Egypt so I might dwell among them. I am the LORD your God."

²⁰ For the LORD took you and brought you out of the iron-smelting furnace out of Egypt to be the people of his inheritance, as you are today.

⁶ For you are a holy people to the LORD your God. the LORD your God has chosen you to be His own treasure out of all the people on the face of the earth.

² »You are a holy people to the LORD your God. Out of all the people on the face of the earth the LORD has chosen you to be a people for His own possession.

¹⁸ And the LORD has declared you today to be for him as a people, a treasured possession, as he promised to you, and that you are to observe all his commandments,

¹³ that he may establish you today as his people, and that he may be your God, as he spoke to you and as he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

²³ "And who is like your people, like Israel, the one nation on earth that God went out to redeem as a people for himself, to make a name for himself, and to carry out for them great and awe-inspiring accomplishments, driving out nations and their gods in front of your people, whom you redeemed to yourself from Egypt? ²⁴ You have established your people Israel for yourself as a people forever, and you, O LORD, have become their God.

²⁰ »People may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand (power) of the LORD has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it.

³³ "But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days," says the LORD: "I will put my law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people:

¹⁰ The number of the children of Israel will be like the sand of the sea that cannot be measured or counted; and in the place where it is said to them, "You are not my people," it will be said to them, "Children of the living God."

⁹ And I will bring the remaining third into the fire, and I will refine them like one refines silver, and I will test them like one tests gold. They will call my name, and I will answer them. I will say, 'They are my people,' and they will say, 'the LORD is my God.'"

³² 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living."

³¹ What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

¹⁶ Instead, they were longing for a better country, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.

¹⁰ Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

³ And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God.

⁷ He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

²² And Abram said to the king of Sodom, "I have raised my hand to the LORD, God Most High, Maker of heaven and earth,

¹⁶ And he said, "I swear by myself, declares the LORD, that because you have done this thing and have not withheld your son, your only child, ¹⁷ '"I will certainly bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and the grains of sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of their enemies' cities.

¹² "The land that I gave to Abraham and Isaac I will give to you. I will give the land to your descendants after you."

¹³ "Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Israel. You took an oath, swearing on yourself. You told them: 'I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky. I will give to your descendants all the land I spoke of. It will be their long lasting possession.'"

¹⁹ God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of humankind, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? And has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

⁴⁰ For I lift up My hand to heaven and say, as surely as I live forever,

²⁹ Moreover, the Glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind, for he's not a man that he should change his mind."

²¹ and gave their land as an inheritance; for His grace endures forever; ²² an inheritance to His servant Israel; for His mercy endures forever;

⁵ And say to them, So says the Sovereign LORD: In the day that I chose Israel, and lifted up My hand to the seed of the house of Jacob, and made Myself known to them in the land of Egypt; when I lifted up My hand to them, saying, I am the LORD your God; ⁶ in that day I swore to them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands.

¹⁵ Yet even l lifted up my hand to them. in the desert,— That I would not b1ing them into the land which I had given to them flowing with milk and honey, The beauty, it was. of all lands:

²³ Again I lifted up my hand upon them in the wilderness, to disperse them among the nations, and scatter them through the countries:

²⁸ For after I had brought them into the land that I promised to give them, when they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees: they made there offerings, and provoked me with their oblations, making sweet savours there, and poured out their drink offerings.

⁴² And you shall know that I am the LORD when I bring you into the land of Israel, to the land for which I lifted up My hand to give it to your fathers.

⁷ "This is what the Sovereign LORD says: 'I raise my hand and swear that the nations that surround you will be insulted.

¹⁴ And ye inherited it, each as his brother: which I lifted up my hand to give it to your fathers: and this land fell to you in inheritance.

²¹ and they said unto them, The LORD look upon you and judge because ye have made our savour to be a stench before Pharaoh and his slaves, putting a sword in their hands to slay us.

¹² "Did we not say in Egypt: Leave us alone that we may serve the Egyptians? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert."

⁴ They set out from Mount Hor by the way of the Red Sea to go around the land of Edom; but the people became impatient along the way.

⁴ "As for me, is my complaint addressed to mortals? Why should I not be impatient?

¹⁹ Evil men will bow down in the presence of good men and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.

¹⁰ So go! I am sending you to Pharaoh. Bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt."

¹ Afterward Moses and Aaron came, and said to Pharaoh, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says, 'Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.'”

²³ For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has brought trouble on this people. You have not rescued your people at all!”

¹ And the LORD said to Moses, See, I have made you a god to Pharaoh; and your brother Aaron shall be your prophet.

¹³ But Moses said to God, "Look, if I go to the Israelites and I say to them, 'The God of your ancestors has sent me to you,' and they say to me, 'What is his name?' then what shall I say to them?"

¹⁰ Moses said to the LORD, “O Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before now, nor since you have spoken to your servant; for I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.”

²⁹ Later, Moses and Aaron brought together all the elders of the Israelites. ³⁰ Aaron told them everything the LORD had said to Moses. He also did the miraculous signs for the people. ³¹ The people believed them. When they heard that the LORD was concerned about the people of Israel and that he had seen their misery, they knelt, bowed low and worshiped.

¹⁹ The Israelite foremen realized they were in trouble when they were told: "Do not make fewer bricks each day than you are supposed to." ²⁰ Leaving the Pharaoh, they found Moses and Aaron waiting for them. ²¹ and they said unto them, The LORD look upon you and judge because ye have made our savour to be a stench before Pharaoh and his slaves, putting a sword in their hands to slay us.

⁹ And Moses spoke thus to the Israelites, but they did not listen to Moses, because of discouragement and because of hard work.

³⁰ And Moses said before the LORD, Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips. How could Pharaoh listen to me?

⁴¹ I also will walk contrary to them and will bring them into the land of their enemies. If then their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they then pay for their iniquity,

⁶ The LORD your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your descendants, to love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live.

⁵ "Woe to me!" I cried. "I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips (a sinner) and I live among a people of unclean (filthy) lips (speech) (language). My eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty."

⁶ I, Jeremiah, said: "Sovereign LORD, I do not know how to speak. I am only a child!"

¹⁰ To whom shall I speak and give a warning so they'll listen? Look, their ears are closed, and they cannot hear. Look, the word of the LORD is contemptible to them; they don't delight in it.

²⁶ Egypt, Judah, Edom, the people of Ammon, Moab, all those who live in the desert and shave the corners of their beard; indeed all the other nations that are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel that is uncircumcised of heart."

⁵¹ You stiff-necked people with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit, just as your fathers did.

¹⁹ Have him stand before Eleazar the priest and before the entire community, and commission him in their sight.

²³ and he laid his hands on him, and commissioned him, as the LORD spoke by Moses.

¹⁴ Then the LORD said to Moses: "Behold, the time for you to die is near. Call Joshua, and present yourselves at the tent of meeting, that I may commission him." So Moses and Joshua went and presented themselves at the tent of meeting.

¹¹ For he will command his angels concerning you, to watch over you in all your ways.

⁶ “If You are the Son of God,” he said, “throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He will command His angels concerning You, and they will lift You up in their hands, so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’”

¹⁸ Timothy, my child, I am instructing you in keeping with the prophecies made earlier about you, so that by following them you may continue to fight the good fight

²¹ I charge you, in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of the elect angels, to keep these instructions without partiality, doing nothing out of favoritism.

¹³ I charge you in the sight of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession;

¹⁷ Charge the rich of this world not to be arrogant, nor to set their hopes on such an uncertain thing as riches, but on God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.

⁴ No one serving in the military gets mixed up in civilian matters, for his aim is to please his commanding officer.

¹ I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of His appearing and His kingdom:

⁹ The sons of Reuben: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.

³ "Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength; excelling in dignity, and excelling in power. ⁴ Unstable as water, you shall not excel; because you went up to your father's bed; then defiled you it: he went up to my couch.

²⁵ But Eleazar the son of Aaron took a wife of the daughters of Phutiel: and she bore him Phinees. These are the heads of the Levitical families by their kindreds.

⁵ Reuben, firstborn of Israel, and the sons of Reuben:through Hanoch, the Hanochite family; through Pallu the Palluite family;" ⁶ through Hezron the Hezronite family; through Carmi the Carmite family. ⁷

¹⁵ And Moses gave their heritage to the tribe of Reuben by their families.

²³ The border of the children of Reuben was the bank of the Jordan. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben according to their families, the cities and its villages.

¹ And these are the heritages which the children of Israel took in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar, the priest, and Joshua, the son of Nun, and the heads of the tribes of the children of Israel, gave out to them;

⁵¹ These are the inheritances that Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the heads of the families of the tribes, distributed by allotment to the Israelites, at Shiloh before the LORD at the entrance of the tent of meeting. And they finished dividing the land.

³ the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.

²⁴ These were the heads of their families: Epher, Ishi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremiah, Hodaviah and Jahdiel. They were brave warriors, famous men, and heads of their families.

² The sons of Tola: Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam and Samuel, heads of their families. During the reign of David, the descendants of Tola listed as fighting men in their genealogy numbered twenty-two thousand six hundred.

⁷ The sons of Bela: Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth and Iri, heads of families, five in all. Their genealogical record listed twenty-two thousand and thirty-four fighting men.

⁶ These were the descendants of Ehud, who were heads of families of those living in Geba and were deported to Manahath:

¹⁰ The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jakin, Zohar, and Shaul, the son of a Canaanite woman.

¹² The sons of Simeon by their families:through Nemuel the Nemuelite family; through Jamin the Jaminite family; through Jachin the Jachinite family; ¹³ through Zerah the Zerahite family; through Shaul the Shaulite family.

²⁴ The descendants of Simeon: Nemuel, Jamin, Jarib, Zerah and Shaul;

²⁸ Isaac was one hundred and eighty years old.

¹¹ The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

²⁸ And he lived in it seventeen years: and all the days of his life came to a hundred and forty-seven years.

²⁶ So Joseph died, being one hundred and ten years old. They embalmed him and he was placed in a coffin in Egypt.

¹⁸ Kohath's descendants included Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel. Now Kohath lived for 133 years.

²⁰ Amram married Jocebed, his father's sister, and she bore him Aaron and Moses. Amram lived for 137 years.

¹⁷ And these are the names of the children of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

⁵⁷ These were the mustered ones of the Levites by their families:through Gershon the Gershonite family; through Kohath the Kohathite family; through Merari the Merarite family.

²⁰ And the sons of Merari by their families: Mahli and Mushi. These are the Levite families according to their fathers' houses.

¹ A man of the family of Levi married a Levite's daughter. ² Later, the woman became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She saw that he was a beautiful child, and hid him for three months.

¹⁶ These are the names of Levi's sons according to their genealogies: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. Levi lived 137 years.

⁵⁹ The name of Amram's wife was Jochebed, a descendant of Levi, who was born in Egypt. She gave birth to Amram's children: Aaron, Moses, and their sister Miriam.

²⁴ The sons of Korah are Assir, Elkanah and Abiasaph. These are the Korahite families.

¹ Korah son of Izhar, son of Kohath, son of Levi, arose along with Dathan and Abiram, sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth (sons of Reuben);"

³² The earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up with their households, all of Korah's men, and all their goods.

¹⁰ And the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that band died, when the fire devoured the two hundred and fifty men; and they became a sign. ¹¹ The children of Korah, however, did not die.

³⁷ the son of Tahath, the son of Assir, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, ³⁸ the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, the son of Israel.

⁴ And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, sons of Uzziel, Aaron's uncle, and said to them, Come near, carry your brothers from the front of the sanctuary to the outside of the camp.

³⁰ The leader of the Kohathite families and households was Elizaphan, son of Uzziel.

²⁰ After him Baruch the son of Zabbai earnestly repaired another piece, from the angle to the entry of the house of Eliashib the high priest.

¹ The LORD said to Moses, "Come up to the LORD, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and worship at a distance.

⁹ Then went Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu and the seventy elders of Israel up,

¹ And the two sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, each took his censer and put fire in it, and laid incense on it, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he had not commanded them. ² And fire went out from before the LORD and consumed them; and they died before the LORD.

⁷ from Judah, Nahshon son of Amminadab;

³ "On the east side, facing the rising sun, the armies led by Judah will camp under their flag. The leader for the people of Judah is Nahshon, son of Amminadab.

² These are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. ³ These are the names of Aaron's sons, the anointed priests, who were ordained to serve as priests. ⁴ Nadab and Abihu died in the LORD's presence because they offered unauthorized fire in his presence in the Desert of Sinai. They had no children. So only Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests during the lifetime of their father Aaron.

²⁵ Take Aaron and his son Eleazar, and cause them to go up to Mount Hor;

⁶⁰ Aaron was the father of Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. ⁶¹ Yet Nadab and Abihu died when they offered alien fire before the LORD.

¹⁹ Hezron fathered Ram, and Ram fathered Amminadab. ²⁰ Amminadab begat Nahshon, Nahshon begat Salmon,

¹⁰ Ram was the father of Amminadab, and Amminadab the father of Nahshon, the leader of the people of Judah.

³ The children of Amram: Aaron, Moses, and Miriam. The sons of Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

¹ These were the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. ² And Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and they had no sons, so Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests.

⁴ Ram the father of Amminadab, Amminadab the father of Nahshon, Nahshon the father of Salmon. ⁵ In the time of Herod king of Judea, there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah, and whose wife Elizabeth was a daughter of Aaron.

²¹ The sons of Izhar are Korah, Nepheg and Zichri.

⁹ The children of Eliab: Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. These are the same Dathan and Abiram who were appointed of the community, who rebelled against Moses and Aaron in the company of Korah, when they rebelled against the LORD,

¹ There was a certain man from Ramathaim Zophim, from the hill country of Ephraim, whose name was Elkanah the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephraimite.

²² The descendants of Kohath: Amminadab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son, ²³ Elkanah his son, Ebiasaph his son, Assir his son,

²⁷ Eliab his son, Jeroham his son, Elkanah his son and Samuel his son. ²⁸ The sons of Samuel: Joel the firstborn and Abijah the second son.

³³ Here are the men who served, together with their sons: From the Kohathites: Heman, the musician, the son of Joel, the son of Samuel,

¹ For the music director; on the Gittith. Of the sons of Korah. A psalm. How lovely are your dwelling places, O LORD Almighty!

¹ For the music director. Of the sons of Korah. A psalm. O Yahweh, you favored your land. You restored the fortunes of Jacob.

⁷ Phinehas, son of Eleazar and grandson of the priest Aaron, saw this. He left the assembly and grabbed a spear in his hand. ⁸ and he went after the man of Israel into the tent and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel and the woman through her belly. So the plague of the sons of Israel was stayed. ⁹ - and they who die in the plague, twenty-four thousand. ¹⁰ And the Lord said to Moses: ¹¹ Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned My wrath away from the sons of Israel while he was zealous for My sake among them, so that I did not destroy the sons of Israel in My jealousy. ¹² `Therefore say, Lo, I am giving to him My covenant of peace, ¹³ and it will be for him and his offspring after him a covenant of an eternal priesthood because he was jealous for his God and made atonement for the Israelites.'"

⁶ Moses sent them, one thousand of every tribe, to the war with Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the vessels of the sanctuary and the trumpets for the alarm in his hand.

¹³ And the sons of Israel sent Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest to the sons of Reuben, and to the sons of Gad, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, to the land of Gilead,

³¹ Phinehas the priest, son of Eleazar, said to the descendants of Reuben, Gad, and Manasseh, "Today we know that the LORD is among us, because you have not committed this treachery against the LORD. Therefore you have rescued the Israelites from the hand of the LORD." ³² Phinehas and the leaders left the people of reuben and gad in the land of gilead and went back to canaan, to the people of israel, and reported to them.

³³ And Eleazar the son of Aaron died; and they buried him in the hill of Phinehas his son, which was given him in the hill country of Ephraim

²⁸ and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the son of Aaron ministered before it), Shall we yet again go out to fight against Benjamin our brother, or not? the LORD said, Go up, for tomorrow I will deliver him into your hand.

³⁰ Then Phinehas stood and intervened, and the plague was stayed; ³¹ That was credited to him for righteousness, for all generations to come.

¹ The heavens and the earth were finished, and all their vast array.

¹⁰ So go! I am sending you to Pharaoh. Bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt." ¹¹ But Moses said to God, "Who am I? How can I go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?"

⁷ I'll take you for my own people, and I'll be your God. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

¹³ And the lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, and he ordered them to Pharaoh king of Egypt, so as to lead out the sons of Israel from out of the land of Egypt.

¹⁷ "And you will keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread, because on this very day I brought out your divisions from the land of Egypt, and you will keep this day for your generations as a lasting statute.

⁵¹ And on that very day, the LORD brought the Israelites out of the land of Egypt by their tribal divisions.

¹⁸ So God led the people the round about way of the desert toward the Reed Sea. The Israelites went up from the land of Egypt in military formation.

¹ When the people saw that Moses took a long time to come down the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and told him, "Come here and make us a god who will go before us, because, as for this fellow Moses who led us out of the land of Egypt, we don't know what has become of him."

⁷ the LORD said to Moses: "Go down there. Your people whom you brought out of Egypt have corrupted themselves.

¹¹ And Moses implored the LORD his God, and he said, "Why, the LORD, should your anger blaze against your people whom you brought up from the land of Egypt with great power and with a strong hand?

¹ These are the mansions of the children of Israel, who went out of Egypt by their troops under the conduct of Moses and Aaron,

⁵ And I sent Moses and Aaron and plagued Egypt, as I did in its midst. And afterward I brought you out.

⁶ Samuel said to the people, It is the LORD who appointed Moses and Aaron and brought your fathers up out of the land of Egypt.

⁸ When Jacob had come into Egypt and your fathers cried to the LORD, then the LORD sent Moses and Aaron, who brought your fathers out of Egypt and settled them in this place.

²⁰ You led your people like a flock, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

⁶ Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel was among those who call on his name. They called on the LORD, and he answered them.

⁴ "I brought you out of the land of Egypt. I redeemed you out of the house of bondage. I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

³⁵ This Moses, whom they had rejected with the words, ‘Who made you ruler and judge?’ is the one God sent to be their ruler and redeemer, through the angel who appeared to him in the bush. ³⁶ He led them out and performed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, at the Red Sea, and for forty years in the wilderness.

¹ Afterward Moses and Aaron came, and said to Pharaoh, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says, 'Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.'” ² Pharaoh said, "Who is the LORD that I should listen to him and let Israel go? I don't know about the LORD, nor will I let Israel go!" ³ Then they said, "The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please let us go a three-day journey into the desert to offer sacrifices to the LORD our God so he does not strike us with pestilence or sword.

²⁶ This is the same Aaron and Moses to whom the LORD said, "Bring the Israelites out of the land of Egypt by their tribal divisions."

¹⁰ Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh. They did as the LORD commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials. It became a large snake.

¹ The LORD said to Moses, "Go up from here, you and the people whom you brought out of Egypt, to the land about which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob saying, 'I'll give it to your descendants.'

¹¹ "Go, speak to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, that he should let the Israelites go out of his land."

² You are to speak all that I've commanded you, and then your brother Aaron will speak to Pharaoh, telling him to let the Israelites go out of his land.

⁷ the LORD said to me: "'Do not say, 'I am only a child.' You must go wherever I send you. You must say whatever I command you to say. ⁸ Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you," declares the LORD.

¹⁷ But you, you must gird your loins, and stand, and speak to them all that I command you. Do not be afraid of them, or I will shatter you before them. ¹⁸ For, behold, today I have made you a fortified city, and an iron pillar, and bronze walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against her princes, against her priests, and to the people of the land. ¹⁹ "They will fight you but they will not defeat you. I am with you, and I will rescue you," declares the LORD.

²⁸ Let the prophet who has a dream relate the dream, but let whoever receives my word speak my word truthfully. What does straw have in common with wheat?" declares the LORD.

² “the LORD says: 'Stand in the court of the LORD's house, and speak to all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the LORD's house, all the words that I command you to speak to them. Don't omit a word.

⁶ And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them, and of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you dwell among scorpions. Do not be afraid of their words, nor frightened by their faces, though they are a rebellious house. ⁷ And you must speak my words to them whether they listen or whether they fail to listen, for they are rebellious.

¹¹ Go to them of the captivity, to the children of your people, and speak to them, and tell them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says,' whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse.

¹⁷ Son of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

²⁰ and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

²⁷ For I did not hesitate to declare to you the whole counsel of God.

¹² And Moses spoke before the LORD, saying, "Look, the Israelites do not listen to me, and how will Pharaoh listen to me, since I am a poor speaker?"

¹⁶ Yet when I preach the gospel, I have no reason to boast, because I am obligated to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel! ¹⁷ For if I transact this voluntarily, I have a reward: but if involuntarily, an administration is entrusted to me.
