¹ The LORD spoke to Moses, Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, "This is what the LORD says, 'Let my people go, that they may serve me. ² If you refuse to let them go, look, I will plague all your borders with frogs: ³ The river will swarm with frogs, which will go up and come into your house, and into your bedroom, and on your bed, and into the house of your servants, and on your people, and into your ovens, and into your kneading troughs. ⁴ "'"The frogs will come up on you and your people and all your servants."'" ⁵ the LORD said to Moses, Tell Aaron, 'Stretch out your hand with your rod over the rivers, over the streams, and over the pools, and cause frogs to come up on the land of Egypt'. ⁶ Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt. ⁷ But the magicians did the same thing with their secret arts, and they brought up frogs on the land of Egypt. ⁸ "The king sent for Moses and Aaron and told them: If you ask the LORD to take these frogs away from me and my people, I will let your people go and offer sacrifices to him." ⁹ Moses said to Pharaoh, "I give you the honor of setting the time that I should pray for you, and for your servants, and for your people, that the frogs be destroyed from you and your houses, and remain in the river only." ¹⁰ Pharaoh said, "Tomorrow." Moses said, "It will be just as you say, so that you may know that there is no one like the LORD our God. ¹¹ The frogs will leave you, your house, your officials, and your people. They'll remain only in the Nile." ¹² Then Moses and Aaron left Pharaoh's presence, and Moses cried out to the LORD about the frogs which he had sent on Pharaoh. ¹³ The LORD did just as Moses asked, and the frogs died in the houses, in the courtyards, and in the fields. ¹⁴ And they gathered them in heaps; and the land stank. ¹⁵ But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and did not listen to them, just as the LORD had said. ¹⁶ Then the LORD said to Moses, "Tell Aaron, 'Stretch out your staff, strike the dust of the ground, and the dust will become gnats throughout the land of Egypt.'" ¹⁷ And they did so, and Aaron stretched out his hand with his staff and struck the dust of the earth. And the lice were on man and on beast. All the dust of the earth became lice in the land of Egypt. ¹⁸ And the scribes did so with their sorceries, to bring forth gnats; but they could not. And the gnats were on man and on beast. ¹⁹ And the magicians said to Pharaoh, This is the finger of God. And Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he did not listen to them, as the LORD had said. ²⁰ The LORD said to Moses, "Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; look, he comes forth to the water; and tell him, 'This is what the LORD says, "Let my people go, that they may serve me. ²¹ Else, if you will not let my people go, look, I will send swarms of flies on you, and on your servants, and on your people, and into your houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are. ²² "‘"At that same time I will cut off the land of Goshen where my people live. No swarms of flies shall be there. / Then you will know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth. ²³ I'll make a distinction between my people and your people, and this sign will occur tomorrow."'" ²⁴ the LORD did what he said. Dense swarms of flies came into Pharaoh's palace and into the houses of his officials. All over Egypt the flies ruined everything. ²⁵ Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, "Go, offer sacrifices to your God in the land." ²⁶ And Moses said, "To do so is not right, because we will sacrifice to the LORD our God a thing detestable to the Egyptians. Look, if we sacrifice before their eyes the thing detestable to the Egyptians, will they not stone us? ²⁷ We must go a three-day journey into the desert, and we'll offer sacrifices to the LORD our God just as he has told us." ²⁸ Then Pharaoh said, "I'll let you go so you can offer sacrifices to the LORD your God in the desert. But you must not go very far away. Pray for me." ²⁹ Moses answered: "As soon as I leave you, I will pray to the LORD. Tomorrow the swarms of flies will go away from you, your officials, and your people. But you must stop tricking us by not letting the people go to offer sacrifices to the LORD." ³⁰ Moses left Pharaoh and prayed to the LORD. ³¹ the LORD did what Moses asked. The swarms of flies left Pharaoh, his officials, and his people. Not a single fly was left. ³² But this time also Pharaoh hardened his heart, and he did not let the people go.

¹² God said: "I will be with you! This shall be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this mountain."

¹⁸ "The elders of Israel will listen to you, and then you and they are to go to the king of Egypt and say to him, 'The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Now, let us take a three day journey into the desert to sacrifice to the LORD our God.'

²³ And I say to you, 'Let my son go so he may serve me.' If you refuse to let him go, then, I will kill your firstborn son."'"

¹ Afterward Moses and Aaron came, and said to Pharaoh, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says, 'Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.'”

¹⁶ Then say to him, 'The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to you. He says, "Let my people go so they may serve me in the desert, but until now you haven't obeyed.

¹⁷ But you, you must gird your loins, and stand, and speak to them all that I command you. Do not be afraid of them, or I will shatter you before them. ¹⁸ For, behold, today I have made you a fortified city, and an iron pillar, and bronze walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against her princes, against her priests, and to the people of the land. ¹⁹ "They will fight you but they will not defeat you. I am with you, and I will rescue you," declares the LORD.

¹⁹ Therefore the LORD says: "If you return I will restore you. You will stand before me. If you extract the precious from the worthless, you will become my spokesman. They for their part may turn to you. But you must not turn to them." ²⁰ And I will make you to this people a fortified wall of bronze; and they shall fight against you, but they shall not overcome you; for I am with you to save you and to deliver you, says the LORD. ²¹ "I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked. I will redeem you from the grasp of the cruel."

⁶ And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them, and of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you dwell among scorpions. Do not be afraid of their words, nor frightened by their faces, though they are a rebellious house. ⁷ And you must speak my words to them whether they listen or whether they fail to listen, for they are rebellious.

¹⁴ Then the LORD said to Moses, "Pharaoh's heart is hard. He has refused to let the people go.

² "If you refuse to let them go and continue to hold them in slavery,

⁴⁵ He sent among them flies that devoured them and frogs that destroyed them.

³⁰ Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the rooms of their kings.

¹³ And I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; [one was] coming out of the mouth of the dragon, [one] out of the mouth of the beast, and [one] out of the mouth of the false prophet. ¹⁴ for they are spirits of demons, performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.

³⁴ The people picked up their bread dough before it had risen. They carried it on their shoulders in bowls and wrapped up in their clothes.

⁴⁰ he pours contempt on princes and causes them to wander in a trackless waste.

¹¹ The officials of Zoan are nothing but fools. The wise counselors of Pharaoh give senseless advice. How can you say to Pharaoh: "I am one of the wise men, a disciple of the ancient kings?"

²² The LORD will strike Egypt, striking and healing. They will return to the LORD, and he will listen to their pleas, and will heal them.

⁹ the LORD Almighty has planned it: to defile the pride of all glory, to humble all the honored ones of the earth.

³⁷ Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and exalt and honor the King of heaven, all whose works are truth and His ways judgment. And those who walk in pride He is able to humble.

²² The people kept shouting, "This is the voice of a god, not of a man!" ²³ Immediately, because Herod did not give glory to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.

¹⁹ the LORD then spoke to Moses: "Tell Aaron, Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt; its rivers, canals, ponds, and all its reservoirs. They will turn into blood. There will be blood everywhere in Egypt, even in the buckets of wood and stone pitchers."

¹² - whatever in the waters has neither fins nor scales is an abomination to you:

¹³ And I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; [one was] coming out of the mouth of the dragon, [one] out of the mouth of the beast, and [one] out of the mouth of the false prophet.

¹¹ Then Pharaoh sent for his wise men and sorcerers. These Egyptian magicians did the same thing using their magic spells.

²² But the Egyptian magicians did the same thing with their secret arts. Pharaoh's heart was stubborn, and he did not listen to them, just as the LORD had said.

¹ If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, ² and the sign or the wonder which he foretold to you occurs, saying, Let us go after other gods which you have not known, and let us serve them, ³ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For the LORD your God is testing you to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

²⁴ For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders that would deceive even the elect, if that were possible.

⁹ The coming of the lawless one will be accompanied by the power of Satan. He will use every kind of power, including miraculous signs, lying wonders, ¹⁰ and with all the deception of wickedness for those who are to perish, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. ¹¹ For this reason, God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie,

⁸ Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these oppose the truth—men of depraved mind, disqualified as regards the faith—

¹⁴ Because of the signs it was given to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived those who dwell on the earth, telling them to make an image to the beast that had been wounded by the sword and yet had lived.

² Pharaoh said, "Who is the LORD that I should listen to him and let Israel go? I don't know about the LORD, nor will I let Israel go!"

²⁵ Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, "Go, offer sacrifices to your God in the land." ²⁶ And Moses said, "To do so is not right, because we will sacrifice to the LORD our God a thing detestable to the Egyptians. Look, if we sacrifice before their eyes the thing detestable to the Egyptians, will they not stone us? ²⁷ We must go a three-day journey into the desert, and we'll offer sacrifices to the LORD our God just as he has told us." ²⁸ Then Pharaoh said, "I'll let you go so you can offer sacrifices to the LORD your God in the desert. But you must not go very far away. Pray for me."

²⁸ "Pray to the LORD! We have had enough of this thunder and hail! I promise to let you go. You do not have to stay here any longer."

⁸ When Moses and Aaron were brought back to Pharaoh, he said to them: Go! Serve the LORD your Elohim! Who and who are those going? ⁹ And Moses said, We must go with young and old, with our sons and daughters, and with our flocks and herds, for it is the festival of the Lord. ¹⁰ He said to them, “the LORD be with you if I let you go with your little ones! See, evil is clearly before your faces. ¹¹ No indeed; just the men go and serve the LORD, since this is what you are seeking." And he drove them out from the presence of Pharaoh.

¹⁷ "Please forgive my sin one more time. Pray to the LORD your God to take this deadly plague away from me."

²⁴ The king called Moses. He said: "You may go and worship the LORD. Even your women and children may go with you. But your sheep, goats, and cattle must stay here." ²⁵ Moses said, "You must let us have sacrifices and burnt offerings to offer to the LORD our God. ²⁶ And even our livestock must go with us. Not a hoof shall be left behind because we will use some of them to serve the LORD our God, and until we get there we won't know what we need to serve the LORD." ²⁷ And the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he was not willing to release them.

³¹ And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up! Get away from my people, both you and the sons of Israel! And go serve the LORD, as you have said. ³² Also take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and go. And bless me also.

⁵ The king of Egypt was told that the people had escaped. He and his officials changed their minds and said: "What have we done? We have let the Israelites escape, and we have lost them as our slaves!"

⁷ The people came to Moses and said: "We sinned when we criticized the LORD and you. Pray to the LORD so that he will take the snakes away from us. So Moses prayed for the people."

¹⁹ And all the people said to Samuel, Pray to the LORD your God for your servants, and not we will die, for we have added this evil to all our sins to ask a king for ourselves.

⁶ The king answered the man of God, “Now intercede for the favor of the LORD your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again.” The man of God interceded with the LORD, and the king's hand was restored to him again, and became as it was before.

³ Say to God: "How awesome are your works! Because of your great strength your enemies cringe before you."

³⁴ When he slew them, they sought him, and turned them early, and inquired after God. ³⁵ They remembered that God was their rock, that the Most High was their defender. ³⁶ But they flattered him with their mouth, and lied to him with their tongue.

⁸ The Word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after King Zedekiah had cut a covenant with all the people at Jerusalem, to proclaim liberty to them, ⁹ Everyone was supposed to free his Hebrew slaves, both male and female. No one was supposed to keep another Jew as a slave. ¹⁰ All the officials and all the people who had entered into the covenant agreed that each would set his male and female slaves free so that they would not enslave them any longer. They obeyed and they released them. ¹¹ Later they changed their minds and took back the men and women they had freed and made them their slaves again. ¹² And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying, ¹³ "This is what the LORD God of Israel says: 'I made a covenant with your ancestors on the day I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. I told them: ¹⁴ "Every seven years each of you must free any Hebrews who sold themselves to you. When they have served you for six years, you must set them free. But your ancestors refused to obey me or listen to me. ¹⁵ You recently repented and did what was right in my eyes by proclaiming release for one another, and you made a covenant before me in the house that is called by my name. ¹⁶ But then you turned around and profaned my name when each of you took back his male and female slaves whom you had set free according to their desire, and you forced them to become male and female slaves."'

²⁴ Then Simon answered, “Pray to the Lord for me, so that nothing you have said may happen to me.”

² And the Lord said to Gideon, The people with thee are too numerous for me to deliver Madiam into their hands. Perhaps they may boast against me saying, My own hand hath saved me.

²⁵ So Elijah told the prophets of Baal, "Choose an ox for yourselves and you prepare it first, since there are so many of you. Call on the name of your god, but don't set fire to the offering."

¹⁵ Shall the axe boast itself against him who hews with it? Shall the saw magnify itself against him who wields it? As if a rod should wield those who lift it up, [or] as if a staff should lift up [him who is] not wood.

¹⁴ For this time I will send all my plagues against your heart, against your officials, and against your people; that you may know that there is no one like me in all the earth.

²⁹ And Moses said to him, When I go out of the city, I will spread out my hands to the LORD: the thunder will cease, and there will be no more hail; that thou mayest know that the earth is the LORD`s.

¹¹ "Who is like you among the gods, LORD! Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in splendor, and working wonders!

³⁵ It was shown to you so that you might know that the LORD is God, and no one else beside Him.

³¹ For their rock isn't like our Rock, as even our enemies admit.

²⁶ There is none like the God of Jeshurun, who rides on the heaven to your help, and in His majesty on the clouds.

²² Therefore you are great, my Sovereign LORD, for there is no one like you, and there is no god except you, in all that we have heard with our ears.

²⁰ "There is no one like you the LORD and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.

¹⁶ the LORD is known [by] the judgment he hath executed: the wicked is ensnared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.

¹⁸ And let them know Your name is the LORD, that You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

⁸ Among the gods there is none like You, O Lord; none are like Your works.

⁶ For who in the skies compares to the LORD? Who is like the LORD among the divine beings? ⁷ a God very awesome in the council of the holy ones and to be feared above all those who are all around him? ⁸ O LORD God of hosts, who is like You, O mighty the LORD? Your faithfulness also surrounds you.

¹ Do not boast about tomorrow; for you do not know what a day may bring forth.

²⁵ "To whom will you compare me? Who is my equal?" says the Holy One.

⁹ "Remember the former things, the things of long ago. I am God, and there is no other. I am God, and there is none like me.

⁶ There is no one like you, O Lord; you are great and your name is great in power. ⁷ Who would not revere you, O king of the nations? For you it is fitting. For among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like you.

¹⁴ You do not even know what will happen tomorrow! What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.

³ The river will swarm with frogs, which will go up and come into your house, and into your bedroom, and on your bed, and into the house of your servants, and on your people, and into your ovens, and into your kneading troughs.

⁹ Moses said to Pharaoh, "I give you the honor of setting the time that I should pray for you, and for your servants, and for your people, that the frogs be destroyed from you and your houses, and remain in the river only."

⁸ "The king sent for Moses and Aaron and told them: If you ask the LORD to take these frogs away from me and my people, I will let your people go and offer sacrifices to him."

³⁰ Moses left Pharaoh and prayed to the LORD.

³³ Then Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh and spread out his hands to the LORD. The thunder and hail stopped, and the rain no longer poured out on the land.

¹⁸ Moses left Pharaoh and prayed to the LORD.

¹¹ And Moses implored the LORD his God, and he said, "Why, the LORD, should your anger blaze against your people whom you brought up from the land of Egypt with great power and with a strong hand?

²³ Now as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD by ceasing to pray for you. I'll also instruct you in the way that is good and right.

³⁷ "This is what the Sovereign LORD says: 'I will also let the people of Israel ask me to make them as numerous as sheep.

¹⁶ Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. ¹⁷ Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. ¹⁸ Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth yielded its crops.

¹⁰ Since that time no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face (intimately), ¹¹ In all the signs and wonders, which he sent by him, to do in the land of Egypt to Pharao, and to all his servants, and to his whole land, ¹² and in all the mighty hand, and in all the awesome deeds, which Moses did in the sight of all Israel.

²¹ The fish in the Nile died. The river smelled bad. The Egyptians could not drink any water from the river. There was blood everywhere in Egypt.

²⁴ the LORD did what he said. Dense swarms of flies came into Pharaoh's palace and into the houses of his officials. All over Egypt the flies ruined everything.

² For the LORD is enraged against all the nations, and angry with all their armies. He has utterly destroyed them. He has given them over for slaughter.

¹¹ " '"And then on that day I will give to Gog a grave there in Israel, The Valley of the Travelers, east of the sea, and it will block the travelers and Gog and all of his hordes they will bury there, and they will call it the Valley of Hamon-Gog.

²⁰ But I will remove the northern army far away from you, and will drive it into a barren and desolate land, its front into the eastern sea, and its back into the western sea; and its stench will come up, and its bad smell will rise." Surely he has done great things.

²¹ the LORD said to Moses: "When you go back to Egypt see that you perform before Pharaoh all the wonders that I have put in your power. I will harden his heart so that he will not let the people go."

⁴ But Pharaoh will not listen to you, so I will lay my hand on Egypt, and bring out my armies, my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.

¹³ And Pharaoh's heart was hard, and he did not listen to them, as the LORD had said. ¹⁴ Then the LORD said to Moses, "Pharaoh's heart is hard. He has refused to let the people go.

¹ He that is stiff necked and will not be reformed, shall suddenly be destroyed without any help.

¹¹ Whenever a sentence for a crime is not carried out swiftly, the human mind becomes determined to commit evil.

¹⁰ Grace (favor) is shown to the wicked, but they do not learn righteousness. In a land of uprightness they go on doing evil and do not regard the majesty of the LORD.

⁷ while the army of the king of Babylon was fighting against Jerusalem and all the cities of Judah that were left, namely Lachish and Azekah. ⁴ "What can I do with you, Ephraim? What can I do with you, Judah? Your love is like the morning mist, like the early dew that disappears.

¹¹ But they refused to pay attention, turned their backs, and stopped listening. ¹² "They made their hearts hard like flint and would not listen to the law, and the words that the LORD Almighty sent by his Spirit through the former prophets. Great anger came from the LORD Almighty!"

⁸ do not harden your hearts, as you did in the rebellion, in the time of testing in the wilderness,

¹⁵ As it has been said: “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, as you did in the rebellion.”

⁹ Men were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues, and they did not repent and give him glory.

⁵ the LORD said to Moses, Tell Aaron, 'Stretch out your hand with your rod over the rivers, over the streams, and over the pools, and cause frogs to come up on the land of Egypt'.

¹⁷ And they did so, and Aaron stretched out his hand with his staff and struck the dust of the earth. And the lice were on man and on beast. All the dust of the earth became lice in the land of Egypt.

³¹ He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats in all their country.

²³ Immediately, because Herod did not give glory to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.

⁸ In the morning, his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all of Egypt’s magicians and wise men. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but there was no one who could interpret them to Pharaoh.

¹¹ The magicians couldn’t stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were on the magicians and on all the Egyptians.

¹² Where are your wise men now? Let them show you and make known what the LORD Almighty has purposed (planned) (resolved) against Egypt.

¹² Stand now among your spells, and with your many sorceries, in which you have wearied yourself since your youth. Perhaps you will be able to profit; perhaps may cause quaking. ¹³ You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels. Let now the astrologers, the star-gazers, the knowers from the new moons, stand up and save you from the things that will come upon you.

¹⁰ The Chaldeans answered: »There is no man on earth who can do what the king requires. No king, lord, or ruler, has asked such a thing of any magician, or enchanter, or Chaldean. ¹¹ Furthermore, what the king is asking is so difficult that no one can reveal it except the gods and they don't live with human beings."

⁷ Then the diviners, enchanters, Chaldeans, and astrologers came in, and I told them the dream. But they could not reveal its interpretation to me.

⁸ Then all the king's advisors came in, but they were unable to read the writing or tell the king what it meant.

¹⁸ He said to them, I saw Satan falling like lightning from heaven.

⁸ Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these oppose the truth—men of depraved mind, disqualified as regards the faith— ⁹ But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those two men, their stupidity will be plain to everyone.

⁵ And the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD when I stretch out my hand over Egypt and bring the Israelites out from their midst."

⁷ Pharaoh's servants said to him, "How long will this man be a snare to us? Let the men go, that they may serve the LORD, their God. Do you not yet know that Egypt is destroyed?"

³ They said, If you send away the ark of the God of Israel, don't send it empty; by all means return Him a trespass offering, then you will be healed and you will know why His hand has not been removed from you.

⁹ If it goes up to its own territory, to Beth Shemesh, then He has done us this great evil; but if not, then we shall know that it is not His hand that struck us; it was a chance that happened to us.

³ When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained;

¹⁹ When the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision later that night, Daniel blessed the God of heaven

²⁸ But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

²⁰ But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

⁴⁷ whereupon the high priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin. "Whatever is to be done?" they said. "The fellow is performing a number of Signs.

¹⁶ They said, "What should we do with these men? For it's obvious to everybody living in Jerusalem that an unmistakable sign has been done by them, and we cannot deny it.

¹⁵ Go to Pharaoh in the morning as he's going down to the water. Stand on the bank of the Nile and meet him,. Be sure to take with you the staff that was turned into a snake.

¹ The LORD spoke to Moses, Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, "This is what the LORD says, 'Let my people go, that they may serve me.

¹³ The LORD said to Moses, "Get up early in the morning, present yourself to Pharaoh, and say to him, 'This is what the LORD God of the Hebrews says: "Let my people go so they may serve me.

¹⁸ "In that day the LORD will whistle for the flies that are at the distant branches of the Nile River in Egypt and for the bees that are in Assyria.

¹⁷ Thus says the LORD, "By this you will know that I am the LORD. Look, I am about to strike with the staff that is in my hand the water that is in the Nile, and it will be changed to blood.

¹⁰ Pharaoh said, "Tomorrow." Moses said, "It will be just as you say, so that you may know that there is no one like the LORD our God.

⁴ The LORD will distinguish between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of the Egyptians, so that nothing that belongs to the Israelites will die."'"

⁶ And the next day the LORD did that thing, and of all the livestock of Egypt many died, but of the livestock of the sons of Israel not one died.

²⁶ Only in the land of Goshen, where the Israelites were, was there no hail.

²³ No one could see anyone else, nor could anyone get up from his place for three days. But there was light for all the Israelites in their dwellings.

⁶ There will be a great cry throughout the land of Egypt, like there has never been and never will be again. ⁷ But against all the Israelites, from a man to an animal, a dog will not even bark, so that you will know that the LORD makes a distinction between Egypt and Israel.'

¹³ "The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you live. When I see the blood I will pass over you. No plague will befall you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

¹² Yet God is my King of old, working salvation throughout the earth.

² the LORD will send out your mighty scepter from Zion; rule in the midst of your enemies.

¹⁹ And I will execute judgments in Egypt, and they will know that I am the LORD."

¹⁸ When you return, you will see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between the one who serves God and the one who does not."

²¹ Else, if you will not let my people go, look, I will send swarms of flies on you, and on your servants, and on your people, and into your houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are.

²⁷ Then Pharaoh sent for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, I have done evil this time: the Lord is upright, and I and my people are sinners.

¹⁶ Pharaoh quickly called Moses and Aaron and said, "I've sinned against the LORD your God and against you.

³¹ And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up! Get away from my people, both you and the sons of Israel! And go serve the LORD, as you have said.

⁹ I will make some who belong to that synagogue of Satan and claim to be Jews when they are not so, but are lying—I will make them come and bow down at your feet, and learn that I loved you.

³² They served him by himself, and them by themselves, and the Egyptians who ate with him by themselves, because the Egyptians don’t eat with the Hebrews, for that is an abomination to the Egyptians.

³⁴ Then you must say, 'You servants are men of livestock from our childhood until now, both we and also our ancestors,' so that you may dwell in the land of Goshen, for every shepherd is a detestable thing to Egyptians."

²⁵ "Burn the carved images of their gods with fire. Do not covet the silver or the gold that is on them. Do not take it for yourselves, or you will be snared by it. It is an abomination to the LORD your God. ²⁶ "Do not bring an abomination into your house. You must utterly detest it and you must utterly abhor it, for it is something banned."

³⁰ after they have been destroyed in your sight, be careful not to be ensnared as they were. Otherwise, you will seek their gods and ask yourselves, 'How do these nations serve their gods? I will do likewise.' ³¹ You shall not do so to your God; for they have sacrificed to their gods the abominations of the Lord which He hates, for they burn their sons and their daughters in fire to their gods.

⁵ And Solomon followed Ashtaroth the goddess of the Sidonians, and Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. ⁶ So Solomon did evil in the eyes of the LORD and did not fully follow after the LORD as David his father. ⁷ Then Solomon built a high place to Chemosh the idol of Moab, and to their king the idol of the children of Ammon.

¹³ The king defiled the high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the right hand of the mountain of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Sidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon.

¹ After these things were done, the captains came to me and said: "The people of Israel and the priests and Levites have not kept themselves separate from the people of the lands. They have taken part in the disgusting ways of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.

¹⁹ No one stops to think. No one has enough knowledge or understanding to say: "I burned half of the wood in the fire. I also baked bread over its coals. I roasted meat and ate it. Now I am making the rest of the wood into a disgusting thing and bowing to a block of wood."

¹⁴ Do not enter a mismatch with unbelievers; for what do righteousness and lawlessness have in common? And what fellowship does light have with darkness? ¹⁵ What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? ¹⁶ What agreement can exist between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people.” ¹⁷ Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.

²⁶ And even our livestock must go with us. Not a hoof shall be left behind because we will use some of them to serve the LORD our God, and until we get there we won't know what we need to serve the LORD."

¹¹ Obey what I am commanding you today. I'll drive out from before you the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

¹ And the two sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, each took his censer and put fire in it, and laid incense on it, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he had not commanded them.

²⁰ and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

²⁹ Moses answered: "As soon as I leave you, I will pray to the LORD. Tomorrow the swarms of flies will go away from you, your officials, and your people. But you must stop tricking us by not letting the people go to offer sacrifices to the LORD."

¹⁰ so that they may offer sacrifices of sweet odor to the God of Heaven, and pray for the life of the king and of his sons.

¹⁰ That which is hath already been named; and what man is, is known, and that he cannot contend with him that is mightier than he.

² Their heart is divided, and so now they will be found guilty. He will demolish their altars, He will destroy their sacred stones.

¹⁵ But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and did not listen to them, just as the LORD had said.

³⁴ When he slew them, they sought him, and turned them early, and inquired after God. ³⁵ They remembered that God was their rock, that the Most High was their defender. ³⁶ But they flattered him with their mouth, and lied to him with their tongue. ³⁷ Their hearts were not loyal to him. They were not faithful to his promise.

²⁰ that you have made a fatal mistake, for you sent me to the LORD your God, saying, 'Pray for us to the LORD our God, and all that the LORD our God says, so tell us and we will do it.' ²¹ I've told you today, but you haven't obeyed the LORD your God in all that he sent me to tell you.

³ Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and withhold some of the proceeds from the land? ⁴ Did it not belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? How could you conceive such a deed in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God!”

⁷ Do not be deceived. God is not mocked! A man will harvest what he sows.

¹² Then Moses and Aaron left Pharaoh's presence, and Moses cried out to the LORD about the frogs which he had sent on Pharaoh.

¹⁶ Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

¹⁷ O LORD, why do you make us wander from your ways, and harden our heart from your fear? Return for your servants' sake, the tribes of your inheritance.

²⁶ ‘Go to this people and say, “You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.” ²⁷ For this people’s heart has grown callous; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn, and I would heal them.’

⁵ But because of your hard and unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.

¹³ When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone. ¹⁴ But each one is tempted when by his own evil desires he is lured away and enticed.
