³ Then the Lord said to Jacob, Go back to the land of your fathers, and to your relations, and I will be with you.

¹⁵ for all the land which you see, I will give to you, and to your offspring forever.

²² At that time, Abimelech and Phicol the captain of his army spoke to Abraham, saying, “God is with you in all that you do.

³ Stay in this land, and I will be with you and bless you, for to you and to your seed I will give all these lands. And I will cause to rise My oath which I swore to your father Abraham. ⁴ I will multiply your offspring as the stars of the sky, and will give all these lands to your offspring. In your offspring all the nations of the earth will be blessed, ⁵ because Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my requirements, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws."

²⁴ That night the LORD appeared to Isaac. the LORD said: "I am the God of your father Abraham. Do not be afraid, because I am with you. I will bless you and increase the number of your descendants for my servant Abraham's sake."

⁴ "He will bless you and your descendants as he blessed Abraham. You may take possession of this land, in which you have lived and which God gave to Abraham!"

¹³ And he saw the Lord by his side, saying, I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac: I will give to you and to your seed this land on which you are sleeping.

¹⁵ "Remember, I am with you. I will watch over you wherever you go. I will also bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I do what I have promised you."

²⁰ Jacob made a vow. He said: "If God will be with me and will watch over me on my trip and give me food to eat and clothes to wear, ²¹ "and if I return safely to my father's home, then the LORD will be my God. ²² And this stone which I have put up for a pillar will be God's house: and of all you give me, I will give a tenth part to you.

²⁵ When Rachel gave birth to Joseph, Jacob said to Laban: "Send me away, that I may go to my own place and to my own country.

¹³ I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed a pillar, where you vowed a vow to me. Now arise, get out from this land and return to the land of your nativity.

¹⁸ And he drove all the livestock, and he took all his goods which he had gotten, livestock of his property which he had gotten in Padan-aram, to come to his father Isaac, to the land of Canaan.

⁹ Then Jacob prayed: "O God of my father Abraham, the God of my father Isaac, O LORD, you said to me: 'Go back to your country and your family and I will be good to you.'

¹ And God said to Jacob, Rise up, go to Bethel and live there. And make an altar there to God, who appeared to you when you fled before your brother Esau.

² And God spoke to Israel in a vision of the night and said, Jacob! Jacob! And he said, Here I am. ³ Then he said, "I am the God of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you a great nation there.

²⁴ And Joseph said to his brothers, "I am about to die, but God will certainly visit you and bring you up from this land to the land that he swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob."
