¹ Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the water. You, who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. ² Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare. ³ Give ear and come to me; listen to me, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David. ⁴ Look! I made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and a commander for the peoples. ⁵ You will summon nations you do not know. Nations that do not know you will run to you, because of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor. ⁶ Seek the LORD while he may be found. Call on him while he is near. ⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. ⁸ "My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. ⁹ "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. ¹⁰ "As the rain and the snow come down from the sky, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, ¹¹ so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. ¹² "You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. ¹³ "Instead of the thornbush the pine tree will grow. Instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the LORD's fame. It will be for an everlasting sign, which will not be destroyed."

¹ Now Boaz went up to the gate and sat down there. Behold, the near kinsman of whom Boaz spoke came by. Boaz said to him, “Come over here, friend, and sit down!” He came over, and sat down.

¹ For the music director. A maskil of the sons of Korah. As a deer longs for streams of water, so my soul longs for you, O God. ² My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?

¹ A Psalm by David, when he was in the desert of Judah. God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water.

⁶ I spread out my hands to you. My soul thirsts for you, like a parched land. Selah.

²¹ At the corner of noisy streets she calleth, at the entrances of gates; in the city she sayeth her speeches: ²² "How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? How long will mockers delight themselves in mockery, and fools hate knowledge? ²³ May you turn to my argument! Behold, I shall pour out my spirit upon you; I will make my words known to you.

⁴ "To you men, I call. I send my voice to the sons of mankind.

² Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth; for your love is better than wine.

⁴ Take me away with you. Let us hurry. The king has brought me into his chambers. We will be glad and rejoice in you. We will praise your love more than wine. They are right to love you.

¹ I have come into my garden, my sister, [my] bride. I have gathered my myrrh with my spice. I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey. I have drunk my wine with my milk. Eat, O friends. Drink, yea. Drink abundantly, O beloved.

¹⁷ "The poor and needy search for water, but there is none! Their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the LORD will answer them. I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. ¹⁸ "I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs.

³ For I will pour water upon the thirsty, and streams on the dry ground. I will pour my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants:

³ For this is what the LORD says: "You were sold for nothing, and without money you will be redeemed."

⁴ We pay for water with money, our wood comes to us at a price.

⁴ "I will heal their waywardness. I will love them freely; for my anger is turned away from him.

¹⁸ It will happen in that day, that the mountains will drop down sweet wine, the hills will flow with milk, all the brooks of Judah will flow with waters, and a fountain will flow out from the LORD's house, and will water the valley of Shittim.

⁶ "Woe! Woe! Flee from the land of the north," declares the LORD, "for I have scattered you like the four winds of the heavens," declares the LORD.

¹⁵ The LORD of hosts will defend them; and they will destroy and overcome with sling stones; and they will drink, and roar as through wine; and they will be filled like bowls, like the corners of the altar.

⁷ And Ephraim will be like a man of war, and their hearts will be glad as with wine; and their children will see it with joy; their hearts will be glad in the Lord. ⁸ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

⁴⁴ The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and in his joy he went and sold all he had and bought that field.

²⁹ I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom."

³ When the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to Him, “They have no more wine.” ⁴ “Woman, why does this concern us?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.” ⁵ His mother said to the servants, Do whatever he tells you. ⁶ Now six stone water jars had been set there for the Jewish rites of purification. Each could hold from twenty to thirty gallons. ⁷ Jesus said to the attendants, "Fill the jars with water." And they filled them to the brim. ⁸ Then he said, "Now draw some out, and take it to the manager of the feast." They did so; ⁹ and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not know where it was from, but the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside ¹⁰ and said, “Everyone serves the fine wine first, and then the cheap wine after the guests are drunk. But you have saved the fine wine until now!”

¹⁰ Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give me a drink,' you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water." ¹¹ “Sir,” the woman replied, “You have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where then will You get this living water? ¹² Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his sons and his cattle? ¹³ Jesus answered, "Anyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, ¹⁴ But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a fount of water springing up to eternal life.”

³⁷ Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. ³⁸ Whoever believes in Me, just as the Scripture has said: ‘Streams of living water will flow from within him.’”

²⁴ and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

² I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for solid food. In fact, you are still not ready,

⁴ But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, ⁵ made us alive with Christ, even when we were dead in our trespasses. It is by grace you have been saved! ⁶ And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, ⁷ in order that in the coming ages, he might show the surpassing riches of his grace in kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. ⁸ For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God,

² Like newborn infants, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,

¹⁸ I advise you to buy of me gold that has been refined in the fire, so that you may become rich, and white clothes to put on, to hide your shameful nakedness, and salve to put on your eyes, to make you see.

⁶ and he said to me, It is done; I am the Alpha and the Omega the beginning and the end; to him who thirsteth I will give without cost from the fountain of the water of life.

¹ Then the angel showed me a river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb,

¹⁷ And the Spirit and the bride say Come. And let him who hears, say Come. And he who is thirsty, let him come. And whosoever will, let him take of the living water freely.

²⁶ He said: "If you will listen carefully to the LORD your God and do what he considers right, if you pay attention to his commands and obey all his laws, I will never make you suffer any of the diseases I made the Egyptians suffer. I am the LORD, who heals you."

¹³ »If you faithfully obey my commandments that I give you today, love the LORD your God, and serve him with all your heart and with all your being,

²⁶ The meek shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek the LORD shall praise Him; your heart shall live forever.

¹¹ Come, you children, listen to me. I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

⁸ They are refreshed with the fullness of your house, and you give them drink from the river of your delights.

⁵ My soul will be satisfied as with the best and richest food, and with joyful lips my mouth will praise.

³³ But whoever listens to me will dwell securely, and will be at ease, without fear of harm."

²³ until an arrow pierces his entrails, like a bird rushing into a snare, but he does not know that it will cost him his life.

³² Now therefore, my sons, listen to me, for blessed are those who keep my ways.

⁵ "Come! Eat my food, and drink the wine that I have mixed.

² God gives a man wealth, possessions, and honor, so that he lacks nothing his heart desires; yet God does not enable him to enjoy it—instead someone else ends up enjoying it. This is vanity—indeed, it is a grievous ill!

¹⁹ "If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land.

⁶ On this mountain the LORD Almighty will make a feast of rich food for all peoples, a feast of well-aged wines, of rich food filled with marrow, of well-aged wines strained clear of dregs.

²⁰ He feeds on ashes; a deceived mind misleads him. And he cannot save himself, and he cannot say, "Is this not an illusion in my right hand?"

⁶ "Some pour out gold from their bags and weigh out silver on the scales. They hire a goldsmith to make it into a god. They bow down and worship it.

¹ "Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the LORD. Look to the rock from which you were hewn and to the quarry from which you were dug out.

⁴ "Listen to me, my people; hear me, my nation. The law will go out from me. My justice will become a light to the nations.

⁷ "Hear me, you who know what is right, you people who have my law in your hearts. Do not fear the reproach of men or be terrified by their insults.

¹³ "For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the spring of living waters, and cut them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

¹⁴ "I will satisfy the priests with rich food. My people will be filled with my blessings," proclaims the LORD.

⁷ For they sow the wind, and they reap the whirlwind. He has no stalk; the bud shall make no flour. If it does make it, strangers will swallow it up.

¹ Ephraim herds the wind and is pursuing the east wind all day long; he multiplies deception and violence and he makes a treaty with Assyria, and oil is brought to Egypt.

¹³ "Is it for the LORD Almighty that the peoples labor for the fire? Do the nations weary themselves for vanity?

⁹ They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’”

⁴ Again, he sent other servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner. My oxen and fatlings have been killed, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’

¹⁴ Again He called the people to Him and said, "Listen to me, all of you, and understand.

¹⁵ So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed the pigs. ¹⁶ He would gladly have filled his stomach with the carob pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.

²³ Bring the fatted calf and kill it. Let us feast and celebrate.

⁴⁸ I am the bread of life. ⁴⁹ Your forefathers ate the manna in the Desert, and they died. ⁵⁰ Here is the bread that comes down out of Heaven that a man may eat it and not die. ⁵¹ I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And this bread, which I will give for the life of the world, is My flesh.” ⁵² Then the Jews began to argue among themselves, saying, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?" ⁵³ Then Jesus said to them, I tell you most truly, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. ⁵⁴ Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. ⁵⁵ for my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. ⁵⁶ Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in him. ⁵⁷ Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will live because of me. ⁵⁸ This is the bread which came down from heaven: not as the fathers ate manna, and died: he who eats this bread shall live forever.

³¹ but Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it.

² For I testify about them that they are zealous for God, but not on the basis of knowledge. ³ For, being ignorant of the righteousness that comes from God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness.

¹⁷ Consequently, faith comes of hearing; and hearing, through the word of Christ.

⁴ though I myself have reasons for confidence in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he has reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: ⁵ circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the law, a Pharisee; ⁶ as to zeal persecuting the church, as to the righteousness of the Law blameless. ⁷ But whatever was gain to me, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ.

⁹ Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace and not by ceremonial foods, which are of no value to those devoted to them.

⁷ "I will establish my covenant as a long lasting covenant between us. It will be for your descendants after you, for the generations to come. I will be your God and the God of your descendants after you.

⁵ Keep my laws and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them, I am the Lord.

⁸ "Say this to my servant David: 'This is what the LORD Almighty says: I took you from the pasture where you followed sheep so that you could be the leader of my people Israel. ⁹ I have been with you wherever you went, and have cut off all your enemies from before you. I will make you a great name, like the name of the great ones who are in the earth. ¹⁰ And I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant it and they shall continue in one place and shall move no more, neither shall wicked people trouble them any more as they did at the beginning, ¹¹ In the manner that I appointed judges over my people Israel, I will give you rest from all your enemies. And the LORD declares to you that the LORD will build a house for you. ¹² When your days are full and you lie down with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring after you who will go out from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. ¹³ It is he who shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever. ¹⁴ "'I will be his father. He will be my son. When he does wrong I will correct him just as parents correct children. ¹⁵ But my mercy I will not take away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from before my face. ¹⁶ Your house and your kingdom shall endure forever before you; your throne shall be established forever." '" ¹⁷ Nathan spoke to David all these words, and according to all this vision.

⁵ Truly is not so my house with God? since he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, firm in all, and sure? yea, will he not cause to grow all my salvation, and all my desire?

¹ A maskil of Asaph. Listen, O my people, to my teaching. Incline your ears to the words of my mouth.

²⁸ I will keep my mercy for him for ever; my agreement with him will not be changed.

³⁵ Once for all I have sworn by my holiness; that I will not be false to David. ³⁶ His offspring will endure forever, and his throne as the sun before me. ³⁷ It will be established forever like the moon, the faithful witness in the sky." Selah.

¹¹² My heart is ever ready to keep your rules, even to the end.

²⁰ My son, pay attention to my words, and listen closely to what I say.

⁸ "In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you," says the LORD your Redeemer.

⁸ “For I, the LORD, love justice. I hate robbery and iniquity. I will give them their reward in truth and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

⁹ 'Rather, they will serve the LORD their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.

⁴⁰ "I will make an eternal promise to them that I will never stop blessing them. I will make them respect me so that they will never turn away from me.

²⁰ "Thus says the LORD: 'If you could break my covenant with the day, and my covenant with the night, so that day and night would not come at their time, ²¹ Also my covenant with David my servant may be made void, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne, and with the Levites and priests my ministers.

²⁶ then I might reject the descendants of Jacob and my servant David by not taking some of his descendants as rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Indeed, I'll restore their fortunes, and I'll have compassion on them.'"

⁵ They will ask the way to Zion, turning their faces there. They will come and join themselves to the LORD by an everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten.

²⁴ And my servant David will be king over them and they all will have one shepherd. They will also walk in my ordinances and observe my statutes and do them. ²⁵ "'"They will live in the land that I gave my servant Jacob, the land where their ancestors lived. They, their children, and their grandchildren will live in it for a very long time. My servant David will be their prince for a very long time.

²⁸ Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

¹⁶ But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear;

⁵ While Peter was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to Him!”

²⁴ Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment. Indeed, he has crossed over from death to life. ²⁵ Truly, truly, I tell you, the hour is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.

³⁷ All that the Father gives me will come to me, and him who comes to me I will not cast away;

⁴⁴ No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. ⁴⁵ It is written in the Prophets: ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from Him comes to Me—

³⁷ Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.

⁴⁷ Whoever belongs to God hears the words of God. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.”

²⁷ My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me;

³⁴ In fact, God raised Him from the dead never to see decay. As He has said: ‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings I promised to David.’

⁵ For Moses describeth the righteousness which is by the law, The man who doth these things shall live by them.

²⁰ Now may the God of peace—who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep—

⁶ "But I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy hill."

⁴³ You have delivered me from the strifes of the people. You have made me the head of the nations. A people whom I have not known will serve me.

⁶ For to us a child is born. To us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. ⁷ Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom. He will establish and uphold it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

⁸ Thus says the LORD, "In a season acceptable I answer you. And in a day of salvation I help you. And I will preserve you, and give you for a covenant of the people, to set up the land, to allot the desolated allotments, ⁹ to say to the bound, Come! To them in darkness, Expose! They graze in the ways with their pastures in all the barrens: ¹⁰ They shall not hunger nor shall they thirst, nor shall the burning wind nor the sun smite them; but he who hath compassion on them will comfort them and lead them to bursting springs of water.

²³ "'I will place one shepherd over them, my servant David. He will take care of them. He will take care of them and be their shepherd. ²⁴ I, the LORD, will be their God, and my servant David prince among them;" I, the LORD, have spoken it.

²⁵ “Know therefore and discern that from the going out of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem to the Anointed One, the prince, will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will be built again, with street and moat, even in troubled times.

⁵ Afterward the children of Israel shall return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king, and shall come with trembling to the LORD and to his blessings in the last days.

² But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, being small among the clans of Judah, out of you one will come out to me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings out are from of old, from ancient times. ³ Therefore he will abandon them until the time that she who is in labor gives birth. Then the rest of his brothers will return to the children of Israel. ⁴ And he will stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God. And they will live, for now he will be great unto the ends of the earth.

⁶ 'But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you shall come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.'"

¹⁸ Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. ¹⁹ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

³ The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.

²⁶ If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, My servant will be as well. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

¹³ You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right: that is what I am.

³⁷ Pilate said to him, "Then you are a king?" Jesus answered, "As you say, I am a king. It was for this that I was born and for this that I came to the world, to give testimony for truth. Everyone who is on the side of truth listens to my voice."

²⁴ Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

⁸ Taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹³ I charge you in the sight of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession;

¹⁰ In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting for God, for whom and through whom all things exist, to make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through suffering.

⁹ and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him,

⁵ and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood,

¹⁰ The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs. To him will the obedience of the peoples be.

¹ A Psalm by David. the LORD says to my Lord, Sit at My right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet. ² the LORD will send out your mighty scepter from Zion; rule in the midst of your enemies. ³ Your people will volunteer in the day of your power. In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, you will have the dew of your youth.

¹⁰ In that day the root of Jesse, who standeth for an ensign of the people, him the Gentiles shall beseech, and his sepulchre shall be glorious. ¹¹ It will happen in that day that the Lord will set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

²³ By myself have I taken an oath, a true word has gone from my mouth, and will not be changed, that to me every knee will be bent, and every tongue will give honour.

⁶ yes, he says, It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved of Israel. I will also give you for a light to the Gentiles, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.

¹⁵ He will startle (amaze) (astonish) many nations, and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand.

⁴ Look! I made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and a commander for the peoples.

⁸ The Sovereign Sovereign LORD declares: "He who gathers the exiles of Israel, I will gather still others to them besides those already gathered."

⁵ "Then you will see this and rejoice. Your heart will shake with joy. The riches of the sea will be brought to you. The wealth of the nations will come to you.

⁹ Surely the islands shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, for the name of the LORD your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you.

¹⁰ The number of the children of Israel will be like the sand of the sea that cannot be measured or counted; and in the place where it is said to them, "You are not my people," it will be said to them, "Children of the living God."

¹¹ "Many nations will join themselves to the LORD in that day, and will be my people! I will dwell in the your midst, and you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me to you."

²⁰ Thus says the LORD of hosts: "Many peoples and the inhabitants of many cities will yet come; ²¹ and the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to supplicate the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also. ²² And many peoples and powerful nations will come to seek Yahweh of hosts in Jerusalem, and to entreat ⌊the favor of⌋ Yahweh.' ²³ Thus says the LORD of hosts: 'In those days ten men from all the nations of every language will take hold of the hem of a Judean man, saying, "Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you!" '"

²⁶ Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and enter his glory?"

³¹ When he was gone, Jesus said: Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in him. ³² If God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify the Son in Himself—and will glorify Him at once.

¹ After Jesus had said this, he looked up to heaven and said, "Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, so that the Son may glorify you.

¹³ The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified His servant Jesus. You handed Him over and rejected Him before Pilate, even though he had decided to release Him.

³¹ God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior, to give repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel.

²⁰ In this way, I have aspired to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.

¹¹ Therefore remember that formerly you who are Gentiles in the flesh and called uncircumcised by the so-called circumcision (that done in the body by human hands)—

⁵ which was not made known to men in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets.

⁵ So too Christ did not take for himself the glory of becoming a high priest, but he who said to him, "Thou art my Son, to-day I have become thy Father,"

¹¹ trying to determine the time and setting to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow.

⁷ For what great nation is there, that has a god so near to them, as the LORD our God is whenever we call on him?

⁹ "And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a whole heart and a willing mind, for the LORD searches all hearts and understands every plan and all thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you abandon him, he will reject you forever.

³ But good things have been found with you, for you have burned the Asherahs out of the land, and have fixed your heart to seek God.

⁵ "But if you will look to God and plead with the Almighty,

² the LORD looked down from Heaven on the sons of men, to see if there were any who understood and sought God.

⁸ My heart says to You, Seek my face; Your face, O LORD, I will seek;

⁶ For this, let everyone who is godly pray to you in a time when you may be found. Surely when the great waters overflow, they shall not reach to him.

¹ We give thanks to you, God. We give thanks, for your Name is near. Men tell about your wondrous works.

⁷ for he is our Elohim and we are the people of his pasture - the flock of his hand. Today if you hear his voice,

¹⁸ the LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

¹⁴ He also lifts up the horn of His people, the praise of all His saints, of the sons of Israel, a people near to Him, Praise the LORD.

⁶ "Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you."

¹⁹ "I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness. I have not said to Jacob's descendants: Seek me in vain. I, the LORD, speak the truth; I declare what is right.

¹³ "I bring near my righteousness. It is not far away. My salvation will not be delayed. I will grant salvation to Zion, my splendor to Israel."

⁸ Thus says the LORD, "In a season acceptable I answer you. And in a day of salvation I help you. And I will preserve you, and give you for a covenant of the people, to set up the land, to allot the desolated allotments,

²⁴ "Before they call I will answer! While they are still speaking I will hear.

¹² And you will call upon me and you will go and pray to me and I will listen to you. ¹³ You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart. ¹⁴ 'I will let you find me, declares the LORD. I will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have scattered you,' declares the LORD. 'I will bring you back from the place where you are being held captive.'

⁶ And he said to me, "Son of man, "Do you see what they are doing—great detestable things that the house of Israel is committing here so as to drive me from my sanctuary, and yet you will see again greater detestable things."

⁶ Seek ye the LORD and live, lest he shall break through the house of Joseph as fire, and devour, and none quenching to the house of God.

²⁵ Reconcile quickly with your adversary, while you are still on the way to court. Otherwise he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.

⁷ Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. ⁸ For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

¹¹ Afterwards the other bridesmaids came. 'Sir, Sir,' they said, 'open the door to us!' ¹² But he replied, 'I tell you with certainty, I don't know you!'

²⁵ After the master of the house gets up and shuts the door, you will stand outside knocking and saying, ‘Lord, open the door for us.’ But he will reply, ‘I do not know where you are from.’

³³ And Jesus said, I am with you just a short while, and I am going to him who sent me. ³⁴ You will look for Me, but you will not find Me; and where I am, you cannot come.”

²¹ Again He said to them, “I am going away, and you will look for Me, but you will die in your sin. Where I am going, you cannot come.”

³⁵ Then Jesus said to them, "A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest the darkness overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going. ³⁶ While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light." When Jesus had said this, he departed and hid himself from them.

¹ As God’s fellow workers, we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. ² For He says: “In the time of favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is the time of favor; now is the day of salvation!

¹³ So I ask you not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.

³ how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? This salvation was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,

¹³ But exhort one another daily, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.

⁵ the LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become. Every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time.

⁶ And the LORD passed over before him, and he proclaimed, "the LORD, the LORD, God, who is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding with loyal love and faithfulness, ⁷ "He graciously loves thousands, and forgives iniquity, transgression, and sin. But he does not leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of the ancestors on their children, and on their children's children to the third and fourth generation."

¹⁸ 'the LORD is slow to anger and great of loyal love, forgiving sin and rebellion; but surely he leaves nothing unpunished, visiting the sin of the fathers on the sons to the third and fourth generations.' ¹⁹ "By your great love, please forgive these people's sins, as you have forgiven them from the time they left Egypt until now."

¹⁴ if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

¹ To the Director: A Davidic Psalm. When the prophet Nathan came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.. Have mercy, God, according to your gracious love, according to your unlimited compassion, erase my transgressions.

¹⁸ If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened.

⁷ O Israel, hope in the LORD; for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption

¹³ He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

¹⁶ "Wash yourselves! Become clean! Get your evil deeds out of my sight. Stop doing evil. ¹⁷ Learn to do well—Seek justice, Correct the oppressor,—Vindicate the fatherless, Plead the cause of the widow, ¹⁸ "Come now, and let us reason together," says the LORD: "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

⁷ And a scoundrel, his weapons are evil; he plans evil devices to ruin the poor with words of deception even when the speech of the needy is right.

² Speak comfortably to Jerusalem and cry to her, that her warfare has been completed, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins.

²⁵ I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake; and I will not remember your sins.

²² I have wiped your transgressions out like a cloud and your sins like mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you!"

¹⁰ "Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the LORD. "I have compassion on you."

⁷ Their feet run to do evil. They hurry to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are evil. Ruin and destruction are on their highways.

³ Therefore rain showers have been withheld, and the spring rain has not come. Yet you have the forehead of a woman prostitute, you refuse to be ashamed.

¹² Go, proclaim these words to the north, and say, 'Return, unfaithful Israel,' declares the LORD. 'I won't look on you in anger, for I am gracious,' declares the LORD. 'I won't remain angry forever. ¹³ 'Only acknowledge your iniquity, that you have rebelled against the LORD your God, and have scattered your favors to strangers under every green tree. But you haven't obeyed me,' declares the LORD.

¹⁴ "O Jerusalem, wash the evil from your heart so that you may be saved. How long will your wicked thoughts lodge within you?

⁴ "Say to them: 'This is what the LORD says: "When someone falls, he gets back up. When someone turns away from me, he returns."'" ⁵ Why has this people turned away? Why does Jerusalem continue in apostasy? They hold on to deceit and refuse to repent. ⁶ I listened and heard, but they didn’t say what is right. No one repents of his wickedness, saying, “What have I done?” Everyone turns to his course, as a horse that rushes headlong in the battle.

¹⁸ "When I tell a wicked man that he will surely die, but you do not warn him or speak out so that he can change his wicked way in order to save his life; that wicked man will die because of his sin. I will hold you responsible for his death. ¹⁹ Yet if you warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your soul.

²¹ But if a wicked man turns from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is lawful and right, he will surely live. He will not die. ²² None of his transgressions that he has committed will be remembered against him. In his righteousness that he has done he will live. ²³ '"Do I have any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Sovereign LORD, that he should turn from his ways and live?

²⁷ Again, when a wicked man turns away from his wickedness that he has committed and does what is lawful and right, he will save his soul alive. ²⁸ Because he considers and turns away from all his transgressions that he has committed, he will surely live. He will not die. ²⁹ But the house of Israel says, The way of the Lord is not fair. Are My ways not fair, O house of Israel? Is it not your ways that are not fair? ³⁰ Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, each one according to his ways, says the Sovereign LORD. Return and turn yourselves from all your transgressions, so iniquity will not be your ruin. ³¹ Cast away from you all your sins by which you have sinned; and make you a new heart and a new spirit; for why will you die, O house of Israel? ³² For I have no pleasure in the death of the dying," declares the Sovereign LORD. "And so repent and live!"

¹¹ Say to them: '"As I am alive!" Declares the Sovereign LORD. "I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked. Only that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn back! Turn back from your evil ways! Why then will you die, O house of Israel?"'

¹⁴ Again, when I say to the wicked man, You will surely die, if he turns from his sin and does what is lawful and right, ¹⁵ if the wicked restore the pledge, give again that which he had taken by robbery, walk in the statutes of life, committing no iniquity; he will surely live. He will not die. ¹⁶ None of his sins that he has committed will be remembered against him. He has done what is lawful and right; he will surely live.

¹ "Return, Israel, to the LORD your God, for you have fallen due to your own iniquity. ² Take words with you, and return to the LORD. Tell him, "Forgive all our sins, and accept that which is good, and we will offer the fruit of our lips.

¹⁰ And when God saw their works, how they turned from their wicked ways, he repented on the evil which he said he would do unto them, and did it not.

¹⁷ Do not devise evil in your hearts against your neighbor, and do not love a false oath, because all these are things I hate," declares the LORD.

¹³ But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

¹⁸ But the things which come out of the mouth come from the heart; and they make a man unclean. ¹⁹ For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, and slander.

²⁵ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. ²⁶ Blind Pharisee, first wash clean the inside of the cup or dish, and then the outside will be clean also.

²¹ For from within the hearts of men come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery,

²³ All these evil things come from inside, and make the man unclean.

⁴⁷ Therefore I tell you, because her many sins have been forgiven, she has loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little.”

³⁹ But the Lord said to him, "Now you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness. ⁴⁰ You foolish ones! Did not he who made the outside make the inside also?

¹⁰ In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."

²⁴ For this son of mine was dead and is alive again! He was lost and is found!’ So they began to celebrate.

¹⁹ Repent therefore, and turn again, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

²¹ You have no part or share in our ministry, because your heart is not right before God. ²² Repent, therefore, of your wickedness, and pray to the Lord. Perhaps He will forgive you for the intent of your heart.

²⁰ but to those in Damascus first, and in Jerusalem and all the region of Judea and to the Gentiles, I proclaimed that they should repent and turn to God, doing deeds worthy of repentance.

¹⁶ Again, the gift is not like the result of the one man’s sin: The judgment that followed one sin brought condemnation, but the gift that followed many trespasses brought justification. ¹⁷ For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive an abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ! ¹⁸ The result of one trespass was condemnation for all men. The result of righteousness was justification (acquittal), which brings life for all men. ¹⁹ For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous. ²⁰ The Law was given so that the trespass would increase; but where sin increased, grace increased all the more, ²¹ so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness, to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

⁹ Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to or perform homosexual acts, ¹⁰ nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

⁶ to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the Beloved One. ⁷ In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; ⁸ that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.

¹⁵ It is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinnersof whom I am the foremost. ¹⁶ But for this very reason I was shown mercy, so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display His perfect patience, as an example to those who would believe in Him for eternal life.

¹⁵ Then when passion has conceived it gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is full grown, gives birth to death.

⁸ Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded. ⁹ Grieve, mourn, and weep. Turn your laughter to mourning, and your joy to gloom. ¹⁰ Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will raise you up.

¹⁹ And yet this [is] little in Your eyes, Sovereign LORD, and You do speak also concerning the house of Your servant afar off; and this [is] the law of the Man, Sovereign LORD.

¹⁰ All the ways of the Lord are mercy and good faith for those who keep his agreement and his witness.

⁵ O LORD my God, Many are the wonders that you have done and your thoughts toward us. None can compare with you. If I would declare and teach about them, they would be too numerous to report.

⁵ How great are your deeds, O LORD; how very deep are your thoughts.

⁸ The way of the guilty is devious, but the conduct of the innocent is upright.

³ As the heavens for height, and the earth for depth, so the hearts of kings are unsearchable.

⁶ All we like sheep have gone astray; each one has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

¹ A saying: 'Look, if a man divorces his wife, and she goes from him and she becomes another man's wife, will he return to her again?' Will not that land be greatly defiled? And you have prostituted yourself with many lovers, would you now return to me?" declares the LORD.

²⁹ But the house of Israel says, The way of the Lord is not fair. Are My ways not fair, O house of Israel? Is it not your ways that are not fair?

³⁷ Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and exalt and honor the King of heaven, all whose works are truth and His ways judgment. And those who walk in pride He is able to humble.

⁹ Who is wise that he can understand these things? Who is discerning that he knows them? The ways of the LORD are right, and the righteous walk in them; but transgressors stumble in them.

⁵ Your loving kindness, O LORD, is in the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.

¹⁹ Your way was through the sea; your paths through the great waters. Your footsteps were not known.

² I indeed declare, Love stands firm forever because You established the skies; Your faithfulness is in them.

¹¹ For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His grace toward those who fear Him.

²⁵ At that time Jesus declared, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.

³¹ so they too have now disobeyed, in order that they too may now receive mercy through the mercy shown to you. ³² For God has bound all men over to disobedience, that he may have mercy upon all. ³³ O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable his judgments, and his ways past finding out! ³⁴ Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counsellor? ³⁵ “Who has given so much to God, that God should repay him?” ³⁶ For from him, and through him, and to him are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen.

² May my teaching trickle like the dew, my words like rain showers on tender grass, and like spring showers on new growth.

⁴ So David again inquired of the LORD, and the LORD answered him and said, "Get up, go down to Keilah, for I am giving the Philistines into your hand."

⁹ You care for the land and water it; you greatly enrich it. The stream of God is filled with waters. You provide their grain, for so you have established it. ¹⁰ You drench its furrows. You level its ridges. You soften it with showers. You bless it with a crop. ¹¹ You crown the year with your bounty. Your carts overflow with abundance. ¹² The wilderness grasslands overflow, the hills are clothed with gladness. ¹³ The meadows are clothed with flocks and the valleys are covered with grain. They shout for joy, yes, they sing.

⁶ May he descend like rain on mown grass, like showers watering the earth. ⁷ In His days the righteous shall flourish, and plenty of peace, till the moon is not.

⁶ "It will turn into a desert, neither pruned nor cultivated. It will be covered with thorns and briars. I will command the clouds not to send rain."

²³ the LORD will give you rain for the seed that you plant in the ground, and the food that the ground provides will be rich and nourishing. When that day comes, your cattle will graze in large pastures.

¹¹ For as the earth comes out with its bud, and as the garden causes that which is sown to grow; so the Sovereign LORD will cause righteousness and praise to grow before all the nations.

²⁶ And I will make them a blessing round about my hill: and I will send down the rain in its season, there shall be showers of blessing.

¹² Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap according to kindness. Break up your fallow ground; for it is time to seek the LORD, until he comes and rains righteousness on you.

⁹ As it is written: “He has scattered abroad His gifts to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.” ¹⁰ Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will multiply the harvest of your righteousness. ¹¹ You will be enriched in everything, so you can be generous, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

⁶ These witnesses have power to shut the sky so that no rain will fall during the days of their prophecy, and power to turn the waters into blood, and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they wish.

²⁶ That fulfilleth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith of Jerusalem, It shall be inhabited; and of the cities of Judah, They shall be built, and their ruins will I raise up. ²⁷ who says to the deep, 'Be dry,' and 'I will dry up your rivers;' ²⁸ "'I say of Cyrus: 'He is my shepherd and will accomplish all that I please. He will say of Jerusalem, 'Let it be rebuilt,' and of the Temple, 'Let its foundations be laid.'"

¹⁰ "I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: 'My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.'

⁹ "To me this is like the days of Noah, when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So now I have sworn not to be angry with you, never to rebuke you again.

³⁵ Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

¹¹ "This is the meaning of the parable. The seed is the word of God. ¹² The ones along the path are those who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, that they may not believe and be saved. ¹³ And those upon the rock are those who receive the word with joy when they hear; and these have no root, who believe for a time, and in time of testing fall away. ¹⁴ The seeds that fell among the thorns are those who hear, but as they go on their way, they are choked by the worries, riches, and pleasures of this life, and their fruit does not mature. ¹⁵ But the seeds on good soil are those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, cling to it, and by persevering produce a crop. ¹⁶ "No one lights a lamp and hides it under a bowl or puts it under a bed. Instead, he puts it on a lamp stand so that those who come in will see the light.

⁶³ The Spirit gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.

¹⁸ For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

⁶ I planted the seed and Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. ⁷ So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. ⁸ He who plants and he who waters are one in purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. ⁹ For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building.

⁹ he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, ¹⁰ as a plan for the fullness of time, to bring all things in heaven and on earth together in Christ. ¹¹ In Him we were also chosen as God’s own, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything by the counsel of His will,

¹³ And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe.

⁷ Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is tended receives the blessing of God.

¹⁸ He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we would be a kind of firstfruits of His creation.

²³ For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

³² Let the sea roar, and the fullness of it; let the fields rejoice, and all in them. ³³ Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth.

¹ To the Director: A song by the Sons of Korah. Clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with a loud cry of joy!

¹³ The meadows are clothed with flocks and the valleys are covered with grain. They shout for joy, yes, they sing.

¹¹ Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad: let the sea roar, with all that filleth it. ¹² Let the field with all that is in it exult. Then all the trees of the forests will sing for joy ¹³ before the LORD; for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, the peoples with his truth.

⁷ Let the sea roar, and the fullness of it; the world, and those who live in it. ⁸ Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing for joy together. ⁹ Let them sing before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.

⁴³ He brought his people out with joy, his chosen ones with a song of joy.

⁴ Praise him, you highest heaven and the water above the sky. ⁵ Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created. ⁶ And he put them in place forever and ever, by a decree he gave that will not pass away. ⁷ Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures, and all depths. ⁸ lightning and hail, snow and clouds; stormy wind, fulfilling his word; ⁹ Ye mountains, and all hills, fruit trees, and all cedars; ¹⁰ wild animals and all livestock; small creatures and flying birds; ¹¹ Ye kings of the earth, and all nations; ye princes, and all judges of the earth; ¹² young men and maidens, old men and children, ¹³ Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is exalted; his majesty is above the earth and the heavens.

⁸ the trees of Lebanon also rejoice against you, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, From the time that you have been laid low, no one has come up to cut us down.

¹ The wilderness and the dry land will be glad. The desert will rejoice and blossom like the crocus. ² It will blossom abundantly and rejoice even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon. They will see the glory of the LORD, the excellency of our God.

¹⁰ And the ransomed of the LORD shall return and enter Zion, with singing and everlasting joy on their head; gladness and joy shall reach them; and sorrow and sighing shall flee.

¹⁰ Sing to the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, the islands and their inhabitants. ¹¹ Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voice, the villages where Kedar dwells. Let the dwellers of the rock sing, let them shout from the mountain tops.

²³ Sing, you heavens, for the LORD has done it. Shout, you lower parts of the earth. Break out into singing, you mountains, O forest, all of your trees, for the LORD has redeemed Jacob, and will glorify himself in Israel.

²⁰ Go out from Babylon! Flee from Chaldea! Proclaim it with a shout of rejoicing; proclaim this! Send it forth to the end of the earth; say, "the LORD has redeemed his servant Jacob!"

¹³ Shout for joy, O heavens! Rejoice, O earth! Break into joyful shouting, O mountains! For the LORD has comforted his people. He will have compassion on his afflicted.

¹¹ the LORD's ransomed will return. They will enter Zion with singing! Everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

¹³ And all your sons will be taught of the LORD and great will be the peace of your sons.

¹³ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Sovereign LORD says: My servants will eat, but you will go hungry. My servants will drink, but you will go thirsty. My servants will rejoice, but you will be put to shame! ¹⁴ My servants will sing out of the joy of their hearts, but you will cry out from anguish of heart and wail in brokenness of spirit.

¹⁹ And from them will go out praise and the sound of laughing: and I will make them great in number, and they will not become less; and I will give them glory, and they will not be small.

¹² They will come and sing in the height of Zion, and will flow to the goodness of the LORD, to the grain, to the new wine, to the oil, and to the young of the flock and of the herd. Their soul will be as a watered garden. They will not sorrow any more at all. ¹³ The virgins will rejoice with dancing together with young men and old men. For I'll turn their mourning into joy, and I'll comfort them and give them gladness instead of sorrow. ¹⁴ "I will satisfy the priests with rich food. My people will be filled with my blessings," proclaims the LORD.

⁶ Behold, I will bring health and healing to it, and I will heal them and will show them the abundance of peace and truth.

¹¹ "Yes, you will hear the sounds of joy and happiness and the sounds of brides and grooms. You will hear those who bring thank offerings to the LORD's Temple."' "'They will say: Give thanks to the LORD Almighty because the LORD is good, because his mercy endures forever. I will restore the prosperity of the land to what they were before,"' says the LORD.

⁷ Ho, O Zion! Escape, you who live with the daughter of Babylon. ⁸ For thus says the LORD of hosts; After his glory has he sent me unto the nations which plundered you: for he that touches you touches the apple of his eye. ⁹ "Behold! I will shake my hand (power) over them, and they will be a spoil to those who served them." Then you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me. ¹⁰ Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion. For, lo, I come; and I will dwell among you, says the LORD.

¹ Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

¹¹ Not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

¹³ Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

¹¹ being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have full endurance and patience, and joyfully

¹ After this I heard a sound like the roar of a great multitude in heaven, shouting: “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God! ² for true and just are his judgments. He has judged the great prostitute who was corrupting the earth with her lewdness and he has avenged on her the blood of his servants." ³ And again they shouted, "Hallelujah! The smoke from her goes up for ever and ever." ⁴ The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures bowed down and worshiped God, who was sitting on the throne. They said, "Amen! Hallelujah!" ⁵ And a voice came from the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, both small and great." ⁶ Then I heard what sounded like the voice of a great multitude, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying, "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.

⁶ The wolf will live with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the young goat, the calf, the young lion, and the fattened calf together; and a little child will lead them. ⁷ Also the cow and the bear will graze. Their young will lie down together. And the lion will eat straw like the ox. ⁸ The nursing child will play by the hole of the cobra. The weaned child will put his hand on the viper's den. ⁹ They will not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

¹⁹ "I will put the cedar and the acacia, the myrtle and the olive in the desert. I will set pines in the wasteland, the fir and the cypress together.

²¹ the people which I formed for myself, that they might declare my praise.

¹³ The glory of Lebanon shall come to you: the juniper, the box tree, and the cypress together, to beautify the place of My sanctuary; yea, I will glorify the place of My feet.

²¹ "Then all your people will be righteous and they will possess the land everlastingly. They will be the seedlings I have planted, the honored work of my hands.

³ to give for those in mourning in Zion, to give them a head wrap instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, a garment of praise instead of a faint spirit. And they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, to show his glory.

¹² Who caused his glorious arm to be at Moses' right hand? Who divided the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name?

¹¹ For as the belt clings to the waist of a man, so have I caused to cling to me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah,' says the LORD; 'that they might be my people, for a name, for praise, and for glory. But they would not listen.

⁹ "Jerusalem will be my source of joy, praise, and honor. All the nations on earth will hear about all the blessings that I will give to Jerusalem. They will be afraid and tremble because of all the prosperity that I will provide for it.'"

⁴ The best of them is like a brier. The most upright is worse than a thorn hedge. The day of your watchmen, even your visitation, has come; now is the time of their confusion.

¹⁴ “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests!”

⁸ This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, proving yourselves to be My disciples.

¹⁹ I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to escalating wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness.

¹⁷ Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!

²⁰ Now to Him who is able to do infinitely more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, ²¹ to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations for ever and ever: Amen.

⁹ But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God; that you should declare the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. ¹⁰ Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

¹¹ If anyone speaks, he should speak as one conveying the words of God. If anyone serves, he should serve with the strength God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.
