Psalms 73:3-12

3 For I was envious of the arrogant, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. 4 For they have no pain; their bodies are fat and strong. 5 They are free from the burdens of men, neither are they plagued like other men. 6 Therefore pride is their necklace and violence covers them like a garment. 7 Their eyes bulge with fat, their minds pass the limits of conceit. 8 They scoff and speak with malice; in arrogance, they threaten oppression. 9 They set their mouth against heaven; and their tongue passed on over the earth. 10 Therefore their people return to them, and they drink up waters of abundance. 11 Then they say, "How can God know? Does the Most High have knowledge?" 12 Look, these are the wicked. Being always at ease, they increase in riches.

Jeremiah 12:1-3

1 You are righteous, O LORD, when I contend with you. Yet I would reason the case with you. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why are all those at ease who deal very treacherously? 2 You plant them, and they take root. They grow and bear fruit. You are near their lips, but far from their mind. 3 You know me, LORD. You see me and test my thoughts toward you. Pull the wicked out like sheep for slaughter; set them apart for the day of butchering.

It was also given authority over every tribe, people, languages, and nation.
