³⁴ "My food," replied Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me, and to complete his work.

³¹ So Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in him, "If you continue in my word, you are really my disciples.

²² strengthening the souls of the disciples and encouraging them to continue in the faith. “We must endure many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said.

³⁸ But my righteous one will live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul is not well pleased with him." ³⁹ But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and keep their souls.
