⁸ For I have given them the words You gave Me, and they have received them. They knew with certainty that I came from You, and they believed that You sent Me.

³ To receive the discipline of wisdom, justice, and right, and equity;

²³ May you turn to my argument! Behold, I shall pour out my spirit upon you; I will make my words known to you.

¹ My son, if you will receive my words, and store up my commandments within you,

¹⁰ Listen, my son, and receive my sayings. The years of your life will be many.

¹⁰ Receive my instruction rather than silver, knowledge rather than choice gold.

¹¹ He replied, “The knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.

¹⁷ For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

³³ Whoever accepts His testimony has certified that God is truthful.

⁶⁸ Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

⁴² Jesus said to them, "If God were your father you would love me; for I came forth from God and am now here. For I have not come of myself, but he sent me.

⁴⁹ For I did not speak of myself; but the Father who sent me, he commanded me what to say and what to speak.

¹⁰ Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own; rather it is the Father who dwells in me who does the works.

¹⁵ I no longer call you servants, because the servant knows not what his master does. But I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you.

²⁷ for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came from God.

³⁰ Now we know that you know everything and do not need to have anyone ask you questions. This makes us believe that you have really come from God."

⁶ I have revealed Your name to those You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours; You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. ⁷ Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you.

¹⁴ I have given them Your word and the world has hated them; for they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

¹⁸ As you sent me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

²¹ that all of them may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I am in You. May they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.

²³ I in them, and you in me; that they may become perfectly one, and that the world may know that you have sent me, and have loved them even as you have loved me.

²⁵ Righteous Father, though the world did not know you, I knew you, and these men knew that you had sent me. ²⁶ I made your name known to them, and will continue to make it known, so that the love you have for me may be in them and I myself may be in them."

²³ For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: that the Lord Jesus, on the night He was betrayed, took bread,

¹ Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, and in which you stand firm.

² Surely you have heard about the stewardship of God’s grace that was given to me for you, ³ that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly. ⁴ In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, ⁵ which was not made known to men in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets. ⁶ This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are fellow heirs, fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus. ⁷ I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace, given me through the working of His power. ⁸ Though I am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

¹¹ And it was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, ¹² in order to fit his people for the work of service, for building the body of Christ,

¹³ And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe.

¹ Now then, brothers, you learned from us how you ought to live and to please God, as in fact you are doing. We ask and encourage you in the Lord to do so even more.

¹⁴ And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world.
