⁶ Therefore Jesus says to them, “My time is not yet come, but your time is always ready.

¹³ You will arise to extend compassion on Zion, for it is time to show her favor the appointed time has come.

¹ There is a season for everything, and a time for every event under heaven: ² a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to uproot what was planted; ³ a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to tear down, and a time to build up; ⁴ a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; ⁵ a time to scatter stones, and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; ⁶ a time to seek and a time to lose; a time to keep and a time to throw away; ⁷ a time to tear, and a time to mend; a time to be silent, and a time to speak; ⁸ a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace. ⁹ What does the worker gain in his toil? ¹⁰ I have seen the busyness God gives to humans to preoccupy them. ¹¹ He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in their hearts, yet so that man can't find out the work that God has done from the beginning even to the end. ¹² I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice, and to do good as long as they live. ¹³ And also every man shall eat and drink, and see the good in all his labor; it is the gift of God. ¹⁴ I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it; and God does it so that they fear before Him. ¹⁵ What is—it already was, and what will be—it already is, for God will do what he has done.

¹⁸ He answered, "Go into the city to a certain man and say to him, 'The Teacher says, My time is near. I will keep the Passover with my disciples at your house.'

⁴ “Woman, why does this concern us?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.”

⁸ You go up to the feast. I am not yet going up to this feast, because my time is not yet fulfilled."

³⁰ Then they tried to seize him, but no one laid a hand on him because his hour had not yet come.

²⁰ He spoke these words while teaching in the temple courts, near the treasury. Yet no one seized Him, because His hour had not yet come.

¹ It was now just before the Passover Feast, and Jesus knew that His hour had come to leave this world and return to the Father. Having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the very end.

¹ After Jesus had said this, he looked up to heaven and said, "Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, so that the Son may glorify you.

⁷ But he said to them, "It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has set by his own authority.
